- stevelA901RK (8/5): A great hotel near Hanoi's main sights - A very good hotel in a quiet street near many of the main tourist attractions -- the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Complex, the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter and the French Quarter. The staff were uniformly excellent and service was of a very high standard. The room was clean and comfortable and the beds big enough to get lost in. They were so restful that jetlag was beaten after just one night's sleep. Breakfast generous, varied and delicious. A modest hotel but highly revommended.

The staff are helpful, although their English is somewhat limited. The rooms are quite small (even the upgraded ones), but the bathrooms are very well laid out. The beds are excellent. Breakfast: a buffet with a wide variety of options and good quality. Dinner was excellent.

The hotel is very clean and the lobby area is an inviting gathering place. The restaurant provided a nice mix of Eastern and Western food at breakfast. The feather pillows were so clean that they did not trigger my dust mite allergy. Shops and restaurants are nearby, and the center of town a short ride away. I would stay here again.

However we had a card in the room.saying if we want fresh towels leave them on floor and a card on bed if we want fresh linen. we didnt want linen but did need fresh towels. got in at 2pm towels still on floor. we called for fresh ones and were told we weren't staying long enough! insisted that as we had left them on floor wet we needed clean. they said they would bring some after initially refusing. 2 hours later no fresh towels!!!

The hotel's location is quite close to my destination as well as some other business centers in the city. As for the room, even though it's small, it's excellent and surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others having a business trip. However, this hotel might not be suitable for those enjoying a family trip due to its limited room space.
- Luongmytran (10/5): Good biz trip - This time I came back Sunway Hotel Hanoi for business trip on the first days of 2026. Everything make me feel happy and staffs are still friendly as before. The decoration for Xmas is blink blink. Breakfast this time have more choices and I really feel comfortable this time.
- marksE6348WV (6/5): Nice hotel jobs worth reception staff - The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. The location is good about 30 minutes walk from the lake and central area. The breakfast room is large and gets busy early with lots of tours leaving at 7:30-8:00. The coffee machine is not great for a large number of people. If you want a later check out other than 12:00 expect to pay between 1,000,000. - 1,600,000 the reception staff were not helpful and not prepared to offer any longer for no charge unlike a lot of friendlier hotels I have stayed in.

- karrinat2025 (6/5): Pay for “Too Dirty” Towels - Overall good experience. People are friendly and breakfast was very good. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because there is an unexpected charge for towels that are “too dirty”. I used a towel to wipe down equipment at the gym, causing the towel to have some dirt on it. When checking out, we were informed of having a $5 fee for the towel being “too dirty”. I asked if they threw away the towel, and they kept the towel and were planning on cleaning it, but we still had to pay for it in case it did not go back to its original state. I asked to have the towel then because if we are paying for a towel I rather have the item I’m paying for.
- ShivP170 (4/5): Stay at Sunway Hotel, Hanoi - At best this is a low 3 * hotel. The location is good but sadly everything else is lacking. When we arrived, seemed very understaffed and disorganised. Rooms are VERY small. Don't even think about unpacking as little room for a couple with 2 suitcases. We asked for teabags on our second day to be told we had used up our allocation of 2 bags per stay! The receptionist on day 1 couldn't recommend a single restaurant (we asked for any Italian food) and asked us to look on-line. They had no local currency if you wished to change more than $50! Got charged $15 for losing plastic room keys. I wouldn't recommend this hotel especially when there is a lot of choice in the vicinity. We wouldn't stay here again. Breakfast very basic and crowded. In summary, only positive was the location!

It was 11:30 am, so I was just trying to store my luggage until it was time to check-in which is at 2, but they were able to let us check-in at 11:30 am which was amazing. The room was also clean.

The staff were brilliant from the cleaner to the manager, nothing was too much trouble for them & they were always happy & cheerful. The hotel is ideally situated & easy to access, i would highly recommend the hotel.

I will introduce my friends and colleagues to book and stay there. Thanks for good service.

- sallytR3364GR (10/5): Best city Hotel - Good choice of city Hotel. Location is closed to Opera house,there are many shops nearby, and Circle K too. We had wonderful stay here, the staffs are lovely, and helpful. Breakfast was ok. Room was mall but clean. Lobby was nice. We will come back.

The staff are very friendly and supportive whenever we need help. The restaurant offer a wide variety of delicious cuisine from western to Eastern countries,my favorite dish is "grilled salmon with tom yam".

- Ken (10/5): - I would give more than five stars if it allowable. I forgot all my passport and documents in the safe and walked out of hotel after checked out. Hotel associates contacted me to my cellphone then inform me that my passport and other document were found and are ready pickup at front desk, I am really appreciated their excellent customer services.

In ogni caso, se guardiamo il prezzo, veramente conveniente, non si puo' proprio chiedere di piu', vista l'esperienza molto buona del soggiorno

- Salie (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was nice and friendly and helpful. We paid for a special double room. It was old looking and smelled old, wet, and moldy. The carpets and drapes in the room did not seem to have been cleaned for a while. Overall the hotel was not very clean and the lobby display cases are dusty and depressing. A magazine I lifted from a lobby table stuck to the glass.

- Colin (8/5): - Staff pleasant. Rooms comfortable and good size. Did not eat any food or drink at the hotel. Male member of staff at check in not as warm and welcoming as expected. Sauna: water in wooden bowl very dirty. I had to clean very well wooden bowl and spoon before using, they need replacing. Remember to ask housekeeping to clean the fitness area including sauna and steam room. I would stay at this hotel again.

- Marco (9/5): Perfect place to rest after a day in chaotic Hanoi - Hanoi is a very noisy town so it was always a big pleasure to rest in the calm and confortable room of this western style hotel. I liked everything but mostly the powerful hot shower and the comfy beds. Also the position, not too far from the centre but outside the motorbike chaos, is a plus. Maybe the items of the fridge and the laundry were too expensive but you don't have to buy them so...
