The hotel itself is excellent, the facilities are great, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. But what really makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. A big thank you to May, Laida, Chai, and Nene, and a very special mention to Oat, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The shuttle service is also a huge advantage. It saves a lot of time and effort getting to the train station, making everything much more convenient. Tui, the driver, was absolutely wonderful, always smiling, friendly, and very helpful. He was also available on WhatsApp for pickups, which made everything smooth and stress-free. This is truly my home in Bangkok!!

- kenyonc2018 (10/5): As close to perfect as it gets!! - Somerset is the best place to stay in Thong Lo, in my humble opinion. The staff, like Oat, Laida and Seagram made my stay there even better. The place was always clean, smelled nice, the rooms are perfect, the building is in the best location for walking and the kitchen/laundry was a game changer. I will be back to stay here later this year and hope to enjoy this place again.

- Allid67 (10/5): Would stay again - The location is really good, short walk to BTS and lots of restaurants, massage places and coffee spots nearby. We were travelling with a baby so actually did a lot of grab orders to the room for dinner which was very easy! The rooms were big and clean and well appointed. We had a washing machine and dryer which again, with a baby is a god send! Super easy to use and quick. Housekeeping was great too and really could not fault the cleanliness of the room. The staff were so lovely. Especially May, Chai and Gram. All the staff made us feel so welcome, we’re so friendly and loved saying hello to our baby. The pool was really nice and again super clean. We couldn’t hear any noise from other guests or the street.

The reception staff really made our stay memorable with amazing service. In rooms they have each and every facility that a tourist might require. I visited with my family and it was my birthday. - irninaw (10/5): An excellent heartwarming stay! - We stayed for 2 nights in a Studio with handicap-access bathroom (receive free upgrade for this) and were treated with very excellent hospitality from the staff. We would like to give special mention to two of their staff (Mr A. and Chai) who took care of everything from helping us with the luggages and free shuttle service to the BTS station. They greeted us daily whenever we were at the lobby and even ask if we needed any assistance (as one of us is wheelchair-bound). Overall, it was a great experience staying at Somerset Sukhumvit Thong Lo and will certainly stay here for future trips to Bangkok (as the hotel is also conveniently located to nearby restaurants and malls and the BTS stations like Thong Lo and Ekkamai). The hotel provides free shuttle service to the BTS stations daily from 0700-2300hours.

Location is very convenient, and yet you can have the free shuttle bus taking you to BTS. Shop, shopping mall and restaurant nearby are also fantastic and good. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr Korn at reception provide us a very very nice and sweet touch before leaving to airport. Surely willing to stay again in this hotel.

The rooms where very clean, the staff was extremely nice and the view out of our room,which was on the corner of the 20th floor was so beautiful. The wash/dryer machine broke down by not drying and filling up with water, but 15 minutes later there was a brand new machine being installed so we where saved and our clothes where dry just in time for us to depart. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest BTS station (thonglo), and while they do offer a shuttle, I usually chose to walk—it’s easy and pleasant. - bruiseviolet36 (8/5): A polished, well-located hotel in the heart of Thonglor that's well suited for multi-generational travel groups - I stayed at Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok for a very brief two-night stay with my parents. As a group of three adults, it was important to me that we find a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence in a central Bangkok location, and Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok fulfilled that requirement perfectly. The hotel's 2-bedroom Executive serviced apartment had indeed been recently refurbished, as displayed on their website - and within that 85 sqm space, it was generously proportioned enough that we could all fit in comfortably, with room to spare. I also appreciated that the ceilings in the apartment were high and that the apartment - particularly the bathrooms - were very well lit, with no changes of level throughout the residence, which meant that it was much safer for my elderly parents to move around in without falling or tripping. We also loved the large storage room close to the entrance, where you could put suitcases, shoes, shopping bags, etc. - that was such a great addition, and props to the architects/interior designers for including that! The property itself is in a really good location in Thonglor, with immediate access to surrounding restaurants, cafés, and spas (Bon Marché across the road - if you have nerves of steel to brave the pedestrian crossing - is a great place to shop for groceries, pharmaceutical items, and clothes). It was also quite easy to get a Grab car, which was an enormous relief. It isn't super close to the BTS, but the hotel does have a tuk-tuk service, which drops guests off and picks them up from Thonglor BTS station. I'd also like to highlight how lovely and friendly Khun May at reception was: she gave us the warmest smile during check-in and check-out, and never failed to be helpful when it came to helping us make restaurant reservations. The other reception staff were similarly helpful - at one point, one member of staff helped me follow up with a Bangkok bakery about enabling their orders on Grab - and they would always greet us when my family and I walked through the lobby. I'd also like to extend my thanks to the hotel for giving us a late checkout up until 3pm, which was an enormous help. Although we were largely satisfied with our stay at Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok, there were a few details where I felt the property needed to improve upon - and where more thought/initiative could have been taken: - The lifts were rather slow, and the numbers on the buttons in the lift were the same colour as the metallic background of the buttons, making the floor numbers extremely difficult to see in the low, gloomy light of the lift. The numbers need to be outlined in a different colour, such as black. - The hallway leading to our apartment on floor 24 felt too dim, particularly at night. It was also quite airless in the hallway and not air-conditioned enough. - There was something wrong with the master bathroom's shower thermostat of Apartment 2403: it would often fluctuate between cold and hot temperatures, and even the slightest accidental 'knock' of the temperature setting would shift the shower temperature to extremes of hot or cold. - The kitchen of the serviced apartment isn't designed very thoughtfully: there is no oven, and the only plug point around the kitchen counter is in the far corner close to the sink, making it difficult to plug a kettle or a toaster in. - The cupboard in the master bedroom of the apartment was surprisingly narrow. I didn't feel that there was enough storage space for two people to hang up their clothes and store their belongings. - There was no explanation as to where the button to switch on the stovetop's extractor fan was. My mother placed a call to Guest Services to ask for help, and after the first member of staff went to look for further assistance due to linguistic difficulties, this was never followed up on by another staff member. By the time we left, we still didn't know how to switch on the extractor fan. - There was constantly a strange and slightly unpleasant acrid smell in the master bathroom of the apartment - which I suspect might have come from the Toto toilet, if it has an ozone/deodorising function. These flaws aside, I would still strongly consider returning to Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok for another stay in the future, particularly when travelling with my family. The location is excellent, and if you want a reliable hotel that can provide a comfortable, sophisticated serviced apartment at a relatively reasonable price point (particularly a nice two-bedroom unit, which can be tricky to find in Bangkok), Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok can definitely deliver.

Highly recommend! - I had such a wonderful stay at Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor recently, and I just have to give a big shoutout to three incredible staff members – Oat, Laida, Nook – who truly made our first wedding anniversary trip extra special. One rainy evening, my husband and I were really craving Jeh O Chula’s famous tomyum mama noodles but with the weather and traffic we decided to skip visiting the place. as we cannot find them on GrabFood, we tried our luck with asking the staff at reception for advice and help. Oat, Laida, and Nook went above and beyond to make it happen. They were so kind and determined – trying different ways to place the order via the LINE app and making sure we were kept updated the whole time. Thanks to them, we ended up slurping up those delicious noodles in the comforts of our room, totally happy and grateful. What really stood out was how genuinely warm and helpful they were. It wasn’t just about ticking a box or doing their job – it felt like they really cared about making our stay memorable. That kind of service is rare and seriously appreciated. Highly, highly recommend this place and the service 100%! Not forgetting – the location, cleanliness, nearby amenities and food places plus the convenience with Marche Thonglor just opposite for supermarket runs, etc. Love the neighbourhood too! (P.S. we were also welcomed with a beautifully done-up bed with a congratulation message made by the housekeeping team!)

Oh the staff was really friendly too when I requested for a room upgrade with Expedia gold, they checked and did an upgrade for me although they didn’t automatically give us the upgrade. After checking out, they kept our luggage and when we went back to collect our luggage, they offer if we would like to take a shower before we go to the airport? I was like wow?! That’s a first. Great service and stay overall. To add afew cons, maybe just one. If you’re awake past 12am(I think), the room’s corridor lights are dimmed or turned off so abit dark. But understandable to go green and saving energy. However there was one incident. Couldn’t blame the staff but it was abit creepy. On the first 1-2 nights, my friend, my partner and I all had nightmares and couldn’t sleep properly. We were all staying on the 11 floor. One of my friend dreamt that she was looking out the window of the hotel and a woman in red was running towards her. My partner dreamt that she was on the hotel bed while a lot of hands was pulling her. Mine was I was lying down on the hotel bed and dark man was overshadowing and staring at me. But our friends stayed at the 14 floor had no issue, and our following nights didn’t had issue too. But don’t let this dreams scare you. I would totally give this hotel a try! WORTH!

Although the hotel is 10min walk away from Thong Lo station, the hotel provides shuttle service which is very timely and convenient to use. Room is spacious and clean. Thanks to the staff we got upgraded to a bigger room which marks a good start of our trip! :) Only downside is there was some problem with the lift and I was trapped in the lift for a very short while…yet the problem was quickly solved.

- jezebeltanaquil (2/5): Disappointing - I stayed at Somerset for four days and wanted to share my experience, as I believe it could provide valuable insights for future improvements. Upon check-in, I was assigned a room that had an unusual layout, with the television positioned behind the bed and a rather cramped bathroom. I requested a room change but was informed that none were available. The following day, I inquired again and was told that I will be upgraded at no additional cost. However, I was under the impression that the room I booked, which was depicted in your promotional materials and website, would have the television positioned in front of the bed. Additionally, I found the breakfast options to be quite limited, particularly for vegan guests. Unfortunately, there were no suitable choices available, even on the à la carte menu. The breakfast offerings were repetitive, and when arriving after 9:45 AM, replenishment of food required a request. I also observed that the staff on duty lacked adequate training in food and beverage service. There were only two staff members present during my visit, and I noticed some concerning practices, such as handling utensils in not proper hygiene manner. On our first day we actually saw 2 staff pick up a guest order sat it at the counter used a knife to cut open the omelette discuss over it after about 4 minutes deliver it to the guest which after 2 minutes the guest returned it saying they took it wrong. Furthermore, I was informed that the manager was only available during dinner service, which made it difficult to address our concerns in a timely manner. There is also no room service offered. The pool were also small and disappointing aspects of our stay. Lastly, I was surprised to find a charge of 100 THB for a plastic laundry bag, which was unexpected. While I appreciate the hotel's modern design and amenities, I believe there is significant room for improvement in hospitality service. This experience has led me to decide that I will not be returning to Somerset in the future.

The location is terrific with my favorite speakeasy bars Rabbit Hole and J. Borowski literally next to the hotel as well several different restaurants. The EmQuartier and Emporium mall is a 8-10 min drive. The hotel offers shuttle services to a number of stops including the mall for free which is extremely convenient. Breakfast by the pool is delicious with a good variety of options and well-balanced. The guy at the omlette station will make you your eggs in any way you want. Pool area is delightful and you can chill by the pool and zone out for hours. Gym is great too and open till late. The staff who are worthy of being mentioned: specifically thanks to Nook, Tai, Oat, Chai, Tui and Ning for going above & beyond to assist me and help me to navigate my day to day plans (even when they didn't have to).
