Das Hotel in einem ehemaligen Klostergebäude ist sehr interessant. Concierge Service war aussergewöhnlich gut, Empfehlungen, Restaurant Reservierungen etc. Zimmer sehr gut gepflegt, Sauberkeit und Service super.

The hotel is quiet and peaceful after all the hustle of the Old Town. Location is great just a quick walk to Charles Bridge and other sights. Water and umbrellas offered daily as we headed out was a thoughtful touch. Everyone that worked there was freindly and helpful. Loved The Rectory bar where we enjoed a nightly cocktail. This hotel is on the grounds if a working monestary. Take the tour offered on Thursdsys! We highly recommend.

- Mobile00520551440 (6/5): BEWARE degradation of services after leaving Marriott Bonvoy affiliation - We looked forward to staying for 7 nights at this iconic, medieval former Augustinian monastery. Made reservations last year under Marriott Bonvoy, a luxury collection of very special hotels around the world, where we have experienced the Bonvoy quality in several other places around the world. My fault but in looking at my emails, I got an email several months ago announcing that they were no longer going to be affiliated with the Bonvoy chain. THERE ARE MAJOR QUALITY CHANGES THAT GUESTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF. This week long stay in Prague was the beginning of a very extended time throughout Europe over the next 10 weeks, and upon checking in, i need Czech currency. Desk host directed me to an ATM machine, and I decided to test how rapid my spend rate was going to be so I withdrew 20,000 Czech units which is slightly less than $50 US, and the machine gave me one bill. Asked desk clerk to break it down for me, and he said I should go to the bar and ask. Walked into bar, and bar attendant said they were not allowed to do such transactions. I told him I was sent to him by the desk clerk but he was adamant, “it is not allowed.” Frankly I only needed their currency to tip the staff (bell hop, concierge, maids, etc), I typically use credit cards for everything else. Walked back to desk to say I was very disappointed that they were not on same page with each other about breaking down ONE bill. We went to their restaurant for dinner, which was of very good quality although much more expensive than restaurants in the old part of town just outside their hotel. To add insult to injury, I recalled that when I made my reservation with Bonvoy, I paid for the room option with breakfast included. This new reformed hotel with same name states that it will honor previous rates from Bonvoy but they eliminated the included breakfast option that I paid for. I walked back to the front desk to ask about this and the two attendants seemed aware of their new owners doing this but were not able to do anything about it. The email that announced this new ownership/management had offered full refunds, but it was not enough time to get another hotel. and frankly, this former Augustinian monastery is quite special. But we are very very disappointed at their amateur service (not being prepared to break down a single 20,000 note worth less than $50 US), and sending me bouncing from one part of their hotel to another; and then not being upfront about eliminating a service (room WITH breakfast) that I had paid for. AND THIS IS ONLY DAY ONE OF OUR STAY. I may update this review as the days go by. Its not just one night, we are staying here the entire week, so hopefully the rest of the stay will go smoothly. Given the price of the food in the hotel, weʻll be sampling breakfast and other meals elsewhere over the next week.

- jasonlE9596VG (6/5): Which Rooms to avoid when checking in. - Nice hotel. Avoid rooms starting with 100 if you want a good nights sleep. Rooms 200 without fail provide a wake up smell of breakfast being prepared downstairs in the kitchen but worth relocating from room 100s to to avoid the Dolby Sound bass noise of trams passing every 5 to 10mins. Reception did a good job of relocating our room to a quieter room but we were awaken with the smell of bacon and eggs being cooked. Turing off the AC helped a little. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. The spa massage is overly priced but overall good service.

We were given a tour of the property and the history and the way the hotel respects that history in its aesthetic is perfect. Brigita and Michal, the concierges went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy. They arranged our tours and our dinner reservations. And Ester, the reception, also went out of her way to make sure we had the perfect room. We will be back!

This experience with my family, for the winter markets was truly magical. You will not find a better city in Europe that hosts better than Prague does. I highly recommend this property not because it’s amazing, but because the staff are truly top-notch. I want to give a big shout out to Marco as he did a great job of making sure we were taking care of on our trip. We also did a walking tour of the city that was recommended by the Hotel staff I highly suggest it.

- Margaret069 (10/5): Attention to detail and comfort - My husband and I and another couple stayed as part of a Viking River Cruise pre-sail extension. Having been loyal Marriott Bonvoy members for years we were delighted to stay here. Although the stay was booked by Viking, we emailed the hotel to advise our Marriott status and request a quiet room and they immediately and graciously replied. We were delighted with our room and special sweet welcome snack. Be aware some rooms are overlooking the trolley lines which run all night long. Throughout the hotel all the staff were kind and gracious. The restaurant and bar were lovely and breakfast was ample. As the property was originally a monastery the concierge gave us an amazing tour of the original, still functioning church and shared the marvelous history of the buildings and the order. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

- jimmK5558IW (10/5): Luxury, With A Side Of History - I cannot say enough about this hotel; the property, the kindness of the staff, the excellent restaurant (and that's highly unusual for a hotel restaurant), the attention to small details. During the past 30 months, I have logged 365 hotel nights...yes, I've spent the equivalent of one full year in hotels in the past two and a half years. I have experienced good, bad, and middle-of-the-road properties throughout the U.S, plus Hawaii, Germany, the UK, France, and the Czech Republic. I can say without hesitation that the Augustine exceeded every single expectation that I had for it. The property is adjacent to (and connected to) the St. Tomas cathedral and abbey -- six abbots still live there! -- and the hotel's excellent concierge staff will give you a guided tour of the property on certain days. You'll see frescoes dating back to the mid 1300s, a sobering small chapel devoted to one of the abbots captured and killed during the Nazi occupation, the lower space where St. Tomas beer was brewed for more than 500 years, and a library with genuinely ancient books. The rooms themselves are magnificent, quiet, and comfortable. As a Marriott Titanium Elite, I was able to choose either additional points as a bonus or free breakfast for the entirety of my stay -- while in most properties, the breakfast isn't worth anywhere near as much as the points, breakfast in this property was full, satisfying, and elegantly served. It's walkable (or, in reality, climbable...Prague is a very hilly city!) to all the major attractions. Trams and transit are truly ubiquitous, available every three to five minutes to take you anywhere you might want to go. But I reserve my highest praise for the staff. It's surprising how often those who work in "hospitality" are more focused on merely operating the property than on truly welcoming guests. Every single staff member at this property seemed intent on ensuring that we felt as welcome as a guest in someone's home. The housekeeping staff was absolutely on top of every detail; the bell staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful. And the Concierge team -- led by the indefatigable Lukas Horak -- was truly in a class by itself, compared with nearly any other property I've stayed. I've read that if you leave five stars on a review, it gets ignored as hyperbole...in this instance, if I could give more than five, I would. Do not hesitate to book here. It's truly magnificent!

- TGMerrill (10/5): A Very Special Hotel - I can’t say enough good things about this hotel as everything about it was wonderful. Set in an old (and still functioning) Augustinian monastery, the Augustine is located beneath Prague Castle and a short walk to the Charles Bridge. The property is beautiful and elegantly furnished. Our room was large and exceptionally comfortable. The staff responsive and helpful. Our stay included a Tuesday allowing us to take a tour of the monastery which I highly recommend. Unfortunately we were not there on a Thursday when the tour is more extensive and includes tea with the monks. The Augustine is a must stay if visiting Prague.

- timbrad (10/5): Glorious Hotel - As an Ambassador Bonvoy member with well over 2,000 nights at Marriott I can sincerely say this was one of the most memorable. This hotel is superb in every way. We were treated with incredible grace from the moment we checked in and through our five-night stay. The hotel is set amongst a Benedictine monastery with tremendous history. Please take advantage of the tour the hotel provides twice per week. Understanding the history of the property is key to appreciating the experience. St. Thomas church is part of the property, and it is beautiful. They conduct mass in multiple languages on Sat/Sun. Prague is a beautiful city with so much to offer. The restaurant scene is amazing, and the architecture is beautiful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Leider befindet sich auf den Zimmern kein Wasserkocher, so dass man das Teewasser mit der Kaffeemaschine kocht. Für die Qualität des Hauses und einen Tee-Trinker ein "no-go". Das Frühstück ist stark Eier-Speisen-lastig. Hier wäre etwas Abwechslung vorteilhaft. Auch der Kaffee sollte qualitativ an das Niveau des Hauses angepasst werden.

However, of the two phones we had one had to be removed because it was beeping constantly and the other one did not work the entire time. To do anything like room service, ask for Bell anything I had to call on my cell phone which was really inconvenient. There were some apologies but no effort whatsoever to move our room or to upgrade or to simply deliver a fruit basket. It was really inconvenient and I did not think it lived up to a five star rating in any sense of the word. It was a bit conventional and not creative. The staff was lovely but didn't escalate any issues to management And sort of just apologized. Our other lovely hotels in Prague to stay at the four seasons and others and if you want five star service and accommodations I would check elsewhere

The easy check in (with sparkling wine), the superb included breakfast, a prepared box of excellent food for when we’d be out very early, a beer cellar, bar and restaurant that all are excellent with expert staff, the secluded off street courtyard entry, the small number of beautiful, unique and spacious suites, and, most of all, an incredible staff who are uniformly knowledgeable and charming…the list goes on.

V YouTube was not available nor was any other internet outlet on the TV. They did not tell us that before we got in the room. It was very frustrating for me to keep trying to get it to work before I asked the desk. And then I realized I wasted a couple of hours trying to get something to work that didn't work. That's why I rate this hotel not so well.

- Odyssey635271 (10/5): St. Augustine Hotel, Prague- June 2025. Exceptional! - Exceptional hotel and beautiful monastery. The entire hotel and the outstanding service from the staff was superb. From check-in with Ester who accommodated our individual upgrades to Vasilis who made us feel special at the St. Thomas Brewery downstairs (old room of the 13th century monastery) and the scrumptious breakfast and table service from Tigist, Andrea, and Dominic is unmatched with any other hotel we have enjoyed. Topped off with personal tour of the adjacent 13th century monastery by the concierge Michael also gave us a personal view of 16th century books. WOW! We stayed in the beautiful Fresco suite (facilitates with Ester’s recommendation and help). It’s a must stay. We will be back. Thank you St. Augustine.
- imho_zyh (10/5): Book it — fantastiche! - Beautiful property. Beautiful room and if you’re an “urban type” the tram/streetcar on the road side won’t bother you at all. As a matter of fact for us city people, it’s actually comforting because we’re used to night noise! Lovely restaurant, delicious food and lovely staff. When you ask for directions make them be specific if you’re not a local language speaker. Great close-by market for late night needs and local restaurants are perfect. We loved our time here. Highly recommend!

- CK-A59 (10/5): Wonderful Hotel in Lesser Town, Prague - My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a Viking pre-cruise extension in conjunction with Viking's Grand European Trip from Budapest to Amsterdam. The extension was for 3 nights, but we extended it to 4 nights by arriving 1 day early. This hotel is associated with the Marriott chain, so we used Marriott points to book the 4th night. Go to their website to read more. Everything about this hotel is first class! A wonderful hotel..once part of a 13th-century monastery. The bar is part of the original monastic dining room, and has beautiful frescoes on the ceiling. We asked the concierge if there were tours of the monastery, and in fact there are on Thursday mornings, We signed up for the tour and after the tour, the prior invited us to have coffee with him in his quarters. Wow..A unique experience! Also, this hotel is in an excellent location for visiting all the sites in Prague, and is close to a tram stop.

- ludwig1827 (10/5): A precious gem - Definitely a rare gem in the Luxury Collection portfolio. A splendid building nestled in the heart of Prague. Despite my short and intense two days in the golden city I tried to enjoy as much as I could the hotel facilities: enjoyed the bar the evening of my arrival. The cocktail menu looked promising, but I opted for my favourite bubbly. At the time of my visit the gym was going under a renovation, but a small room close to the lobby was conveniently reserved for that purpose. As a city hotel the breakfast was not “wow” in term of food display (but it’s ok, we need to avoid food waste!) but excellent in terms of quality. While the bar is warm and cozy the breakfast room is a bit too “cold” in terms of design, however good as spot for a quick business lunch. Through my Bonvoy Titanium status I’ve been assigned to a very nice junior suite. Super comfy bed and walk in closet. A minus point was the spacious bathroom lacking of a walk in shower (for me a must). Super efficient and friendly staff will make this my next choice when (I hope soon) in Prague again.
- baxmom (4/5): Beautiful hotel but very poor sound proofing. Constant noise and vibration from the tram! - We are staying 2 nights in the Augustine. Our room is on the 3rd Floor facing the courtyard. I can hear noise and feel vibrations every couple of minutes. The front desk tells me it’s because the rooms are above the tram. There’s nothing they can do except we should just wait until late at night when the trams run less frequently. This is very frustrating because we paid to stay in a 5 star hotel, yet we can’t even have a quiet evening. The front desk should have explained this issue to us when we checked in.

- jodib120 (10/5): Beyond Exquisite - My girlfriends and I were celebrating our 25 years of friendship and decided to do so in Prague. There is no better hotel than the Augustine. I worked directly with them to book my room - with Veronica B. spending time making sure that I had a beautiful room. I was very fortunate to stay in the Monastery Suite, which is so serene and very quiet as it looks over the private garden and church of the Monks that still live there. Every night I would open the window and just take in the beauty. Prior to my arrival - for many months - I worked with Michal, the Head Concierge in planning the trip. He is amazing. So kind and patient - as I tended to bother him quite a bit! Michal, Lukas and Brigitte made sure all the tours and restaurants were just perfect. The Front Desk staff were always there to make sure we had everything we needed - greeting us with a smile when we left and returned. Many thanks to Katerina K, Ester, Zoe, and Veronika. Breakfast was also outstanding - both in terms of the food and service. Not only is there a beautiful buffet of breads, muffins and cakes, but the regular menu had such a variety of choices that you never wanted to leave. Many thanks to Saeed, Sofia, Polina, Misha and Jan for taking such good care of us every morning - especially Saeed who made sure to fill our water thermoses before we left for our tours. Finally, we took advantage of the tour of the Augustine monastery that is only open to guests. Father William is such a kind man and so knowledgeable. We were very fortunate as he invited us to have coffee with him in his private quarters after the tour. It was the perfect way to end our week in Prague. There are hotels - and then there are hotels like the Augustine - which stands out over all the others due to the amazing team of staff that go above and beyond to make sure that you truly enjoy your time in Prague. I highly recommend the Augustine and hope to be able to return one day.

The historic monetary has been thoughtfully adapted to a luxury Autograph hotel. - Ehsanul_Raj (10/5): True Luxury Experience - My partner and I stayed at the Augustin, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague from February 2nd to February 5th, 2025. We had a great experience at this hotel. As a former Marriott associate, I certainly expected good service from them, to be honest, I found them incredibly friendly and attentive, especially the two ladies at the front desk (Ms. Veronica and Ms. Katerina) who really went the extra mile for us. These two ladies are the true epitome of hospitality. My room was clean, spacious, and the amenities were well-maintained. The hotel's location is right in the heart of Prague, which made it easy for us to visit both Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay or a leisurely getaway. We enjoyed Prague very much, and we would definitely come back to the Augustin, a Luxury Collection Hotel.

- zacharywK4995QA (10/5): Wonderful and Unique Experience - Truly phenomenal experience. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and the hotel was well worth it. The staff is extraordinarily attentive and even loaned me a suit jacket for impromptu opera tickets. The rooms are beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, with excellent views of Prague Castle. The hotel’s location is secluded adding to the relaxing atmosphere, yet is centrally located and only a quick walk from many of the city’s most famous locations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique luxury experience in Prague!
- gdb65 (10/5): Hidden from the Crowds - Visiting the Christmas markets but wanting to be a bit away from the rush of people over the holidays, we booked into The Augustine. What a treat! A bit off the beaten track but quite close to the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, the hotel was wonderful. The team at the front desk and the concierge desk were always able to answer questions and give recommendations. And the holiday treats table (cookies, hot wine, chocolate) that they put out over the weekend was amazing. Best of all, after a day of visiting the sites and being a part of the crowds, the room was quiet and more than comfortable. Highly recommended!

- hdj49 (10/5): A Must-Stay in Prague - The staff at the property is amazing. They greeted us warmly upon arrival, and insisted they deliver our bags to our room. The hotel was formerly a monastery, with the monks still living in a separate building of the property. The architecture and design of the hotel are exquisite and represent elements of the former monastery throughout the property. A must-stay in Prague.

Picked us up at the airport, dropped our daughter at her apartment for her study abroad program & gave wonderful suggestions of what to do! Stored our luggage as we continued our travels since we will be returning to the property before our return to the US. Made great dining suggestions as well! Loved the property & staff!

- roberthS3218ZL (10/5): Would give it 6 stars if I could - Really great for a couple’s Christmas trip. The building has a lot of character as a former medieval monastery. They offer a black beer that’s based on the monk’s 14th century recipe and it’s superb. Every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner - was excellent. The staff is A+. I don’t know where they find these people but I never experienced hospitality at such a high level. They were really helpful with food allergies. We celebrated a birthday here and they brought us a cake, took a photo, and then turned the photo into a handwritten birthday card! They were always dropping off snacks and drinks at the room, including a really beautiful Christmas cake. I never asked for or expected any of the attention but they were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. Highly recommend.

- myc888 (10/5): Great Hotel - Visited in December 2024 and it’s become one of my favourite Marriott hotels. Was offered a free upgrade to a deluxe room due to Marriott status and the room was much better than expected. Bathroom was big with underfloor heating and the room was warm and cosy. Toiletries were from Byredo. Check in was seamless with the front desk being very friendly. Location : Short walk to Charles Bridge which then leads you into Old Town where you can see the sights and also Christmas Markets. Breakfast at the Augustine Restaurant was one of the highlights of the hotel- with good choices of both food and drinks. Ordered the English breakfast which was very good. Would definitely visit again.
- pcakes1121 (10/5): An incredible journey with the help of this hotel. - We stayed at this hotel through Viking. We were in the Czech Republic to find the village of my father's family. We went to a village the first day but went to the wrong Brezany. Who knew there were so many Brezanys in The Czech Republic. The next day I talked to the hotel concierge and asked if we could find a driver to go to the correct site. Within a half hour he found a driver to take us to the village. I can't thank this man enough. The day was October 26th. I don't remember his name but I will be forever grateful. We found my father's village and had a wonderful time. Oh, and the hotel was wonderful. Best Goulash and rooms were top notch.
- 52SeaRay (10/5): AMAZING! - What an absolutely amazing place!!! Quiet, serene, but close to everything. We extended our Viking cruise from Regensburg to include three days in Prague. This hotel was the 'luxury' choice, and I am so grateful to have chosen it. From the moment we arrived, our Viking representative and the hotel staff made us feel like they were waiting for us and welcomed us warmly. Sparkling wine and information on the grounds, breakfast, and services were given to us. Because of my Titanium Elite Status, we were upgraded to a Castle view room. Our room did not disappoint. Beds were comfortable, amenities were wonderful and housekeeping service very good. The concierge helped get us a taxi to take us to Lobkowicz Palace. Breakfast was amazing, and Lucky our server couldn't have been more attentive or friendly. What a gem she is! We are only sorry we have a 3:30 a.m. transport on our last day and will miss seeing her friendly face for breakfast one last time! If I find myself in Prague in the future, this is the only place I will come and stay!
- LOUIS (10/5): - This hotel was absolutely beautiful and historic. It was in a great location to walk to all the other historical sites. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The beds and rooms were comfortable.
- PaulN480 (10/5): Charming boutique style with a great location. Don't miss it - This is a lovely hotel that is perfectly located. The rooms are excellent in both size and amenity. Room cleaning was exceptional, and its strange to make a comment about how the rooms are cleaned daily, but they are simply excellent, even to the extent they folded clothes for us that we had forgotten ( or were to lazy to do ourselves). Breakfast is great, excellent quality, as are the lunches. Best coffee i had in Europe over 4 weeks ( but coffee is always a personal taste thing). All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Could not fault them. If I have one small recommendation to the hotel, it may be that the shower water was not really hot, it's was acceptable, but after a day our city exploring in the cold a hot shower would have been nice. But again this is a personal thing and may also be a safety thing to ensure nobody scalds themselves if it's too hot. If you want something central, with really good amenities, lovely atmosphere and make you feel at home. This is your place.

- jakejake (10/5): December/Christmas Market Visit to Prague - My wife and I just spent 4 nights in Prague. Such exceptional service we had from the GM and the entire Augustine staff. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, the public spaces were good for working/relaxing (or having a drink), and the breakfast and snack service was incredible. They even left some fun treats in our room during the turndown service! We loved being close to Charles Bridge but being located outside of Old Town and coming home to a very tranquil and enjoyable resort. Thank you, Augustine!

- C344VItoddg (10/5): Modern Luxury amid Medieval Tradition - This hotel is perfection! The staff is warm and attention. The accommodations luxurious yet comfortable. It's a rare blend of tradition and modernity. The Augustine exceeded our expectations at every turn. The front desk staff was outstanding and the concierge attentive and helpful. My family started each day with a lovely hotel breakfast at a table overlooking the interior courtyard and I miss it already. When back in Prague I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!
