- Jenny (8/5): Fun is Soho. - I liked the general vibe of the property. The room was large and well appointed. Housekeeping did a great job. The staff in general were helpful and friendly. It was very busy at times and the lobby is not large so it could feel overcrowded. The elevator system is hopeless.

The lifts were awfully programmed and at one point I was waiting with a woman to get out to the building who had been staring at the lift for 14 minutes… !! We could t get down form our floor because there was an event on the top floor and lifts weren’t stopping to take us down to lobby!?! Awful. Very scary.

Чтобы воспользоваться лифтом можно сначала ждать его 5-7-10 минут и потом ехать на нем 5 минут. Очереди. На 7 этаже дикий запах кухни круглосуточно, даже не стали проходить никуда, настолько воняет. Второй этаж мезонин очень скромно и безлюдно. Места общего пользования откровенно слабые, не было никакого желания там провести время.

L’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement idéal, juste à côté de SoHo, parfait pour profiter des boutiques, restaurants et de l’ambiance new-yorkaise. Les chambres sont spacieuses et offrent une vue magnifique sur la ville, surtout en soirée. Le lit est incroyablement confortable, un vrai bonheur après une journée à découvrir NYC. L’hôtel n’est pas le plus moderne sur certains détails, notamment la télévision et quelques équipements, mais cela ne gâche en rien le séjour. Le point fort reste clairement la qualité du service : le personnel est adorable, professionnel et toujours attentionné. Petit plus très apprécié : les crèmes et produits mis à disposition étaient excellents ! Une très belle adresse pour séjourner à New York, avec beaucoup de confort et un accueil vraiment chaleureux. L’attente des ascenseurs…

- Brian (3/5): Beware - Outdated - Location was great - very central to shopping, restaurants and subway system. The hotel feels very dated—most of the furniture appears to be original from 20+ years ago, with visible scuffs and scratches throughout. Even the small TV in the bathroom feels like something from the early 2000s. Overall, the space just feels worn and outdated. I stayed in a two-bedroom suite, which was particularly disappointing. The main entry door wouldn’t fully shut or lock, so I had to call maintenance. They ended up installing an old-fashioned chain lock because the door had warped and couldn’t be properly secured. Not exactly reassuring. The room also had a strong cigarette smell, suggesting it hadn’t been properly cleaned after a previous guest. When I raised this with management, I was told there were no other two-bedroom suites available. Instead, they tried to upsell me to a penthouse, which felt like an odd response given the situation. Overall, not a great experience.

- Adelaide (6/5): - J'allais dans cet hotel pour la première fois, essentiellement pour les vues proposées. J'avais pris une suite pour pouvoir en profiter. J'avais demandé spéfiquement une chambre dans un étage élevé. J'ai eu une chambre dans le premier étages des chambres, avec une vue sur un immeuble gris. Les petits déjeuners sont extrêmement chers ( 100 $) , dans un espace ou il fait vraiment froid, avec la musique à fond. Pas d'autre possibilité.
- 661jeffreyk (4/5): Elevators are a mess!!!! - This was our 3rd time at this hotel in the last 2 years. It is very close to our daughters apartment so the location is convenient for that. That is the reason for 2 stars not 1. The rooms are large but a little dated. HOWEVER, the elevator situation is a F MINUS!!! DO NOT ask for a view floor you will never get an elevator in any reasonable time. My friend was on 41 and she had an amazing view but took 20 plus minutes sometimes to get the elevator. We were on 16 and for the 3 nights, we had to walk down the steps many times. Every single time I walked down the steps and my wife waited for the elevator I beat her to the lobby. You come back from a long day of walking around and you want to get up to your room and you come around the corner to the elevator bank and it is packed with people. Everyone is upset and frustrated and talking about the elevators. The hotel should have staff there helping people and directing traffic. Sadly we won't be back:(

Starting with the absurd situation of having only four elevators, which generate massive queues—it’s honestly hard to believe. Waiting times reach 10–15 minutes, and when they do arrive, they are completely overcrowded. The situation is so bad that we gave up on even going up to see the rooftop pools. The entire furnishing is heavily worn, basic, and morally outdated. Upon check-in, our suite wasn’t ready for nearly an hour after the official check-in time. We had booked a large suite with a skyline panoramic view, yet we were placed on the 20th floor. When I asked at reception if there had been a mistake, I was simply told, “that’s the situation”… no further explanation. No comment.

If you are pressed for time, good luck. This location has 4 guest elevators and it is common to have a 20 minute wait for an elevator.

- annmT2532WM (6/5): Elevator problems a huge problem - The overall hotel is great and clean BUT as the other reviews say the elevators are often broken and while they say that they are being fixed we saw no sign of more than 2 operational elevators meaning you had to call an elevator and assume a 10 min wait and sometimes the elevators were so crowded you couldn’t get on and had to wait another cycle

Subway entrance is literally in front of the door and Tribeca, SoHo and WestVillage/NYU are in walking distance. Rooms are modern, elegant and spacious - all of which is not typical in NY. - PamATX (8/5): Mostly good - Staying as a FHR member decided to give it another try after last summers glitches. Got an email after that visit inviting us to try them again with promises of upgrades and discounts but after probably 4 emails and 3 calls no one got back to me. My last voicemail reached the reservation manager finally and he gave me a spectacular upgrade which I appreciated. Pros of the hotel- large space for NYC for more reasonable prices and the location is amazing. Cons which don’t make this anFHR is the slow elevators (improved from last summer), quality of breakfast foods (at least have organic options), cleanliness (nuts under chairs and grapes in the sink when I checked in). I would still highly recommend this place but it does not qualify IMO as a FHR

One was broken, and the other three were poorly programmed causing long waits. We could truly walk the 20 floors from/to our room faster than the elevator many times. Hoping it will be fixed as we consider another stay for our next visit.

There are 4 elevators for all the rooms in the hotel which means everyone is waiting everyday for 15-20mins to get into the elevator either to go up or down so your morning is at least ~1h wait for elevators if you had the misfortune to eat on site. We went as a family and booked the suite and asked prior to arrival for a baby crib. We got confirmation at the time of booking and then directly emailed the reservation manager to confirm the crib prior to our stay which they did confirm. We arrived at the hotel, they had no cribs in our room and none available...

I had a sprained ankle and when the doorman noticed I was limping he asked what room I was in and had ice and zip lock bags sent up. Truly wonderful exprience!

- 389staceyk (6/5): Elevator Horror - This hotel is in a prime location in SoHo and the hotel itself is lovely. Our issue was with their elevators! 3 out of 4 working elevators for 40+ floors. We waited 28 min to get on the elevator to go to dinner at 7pm on a Saturday evening. The average wait time for the elevators is 10+ min at any given time of the day!!!! This is not an exaggeration!!! They have a new elevator system that clearly is working. We had to bypass our designated elevator twice bc it was so full we couldn’t get on! It was unbelievable! We had no hot water on the last day and were never given notice even though they said they left a letter in our room. I had a spa appt the following day and after enjoying all the amenities I wasn’t able to shower since the hot water/showers were not available!! Everything we had at breakfast was fantastic but again it did not make up for the elevator fiasco!

Morgens starten, jede Menge Bagel Shops um die Ecke und super Anbindung in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Gleichzeitig auch sehr viel zu Fuß zu erkunden. Wer sich hier die höheren Zimmerkategorien gönnt, braucht keine Aussichtsplattform buchen. Jeden Morgen mit dem Blick aufs Empire State Building aufzuwachen ist einfach ein NYC-Traum… :) Staff und Gäste sind so wie man es aus Luxus Boutiquen kennt ;) Zimmer hätte sauberer sein können. Housekeeping aber sehr lieb.

The gym needs urgent update and partly renovation, but more new technical equipment and please more than 2 gym mats when 10 people are doing training between 06:00-09:00
