- Sey Key (6/5): Good location, rude staff. - - location - big rooms We were disappointed with the customer service during our stay. We had specifically requested a quieter room away from the street side in advance, but the request was not accommodated and we were assigned a corner room facing the street. When we asked about this politely at the front desk (dark-skinned non-japanese female staff), the interaction became uncomfortable and that employee responded with: “This is not China, but Japan.” We found this comment inappropriate and unnecessary. The hotel itself may be acceptable, but the way our concerns were handled left a negative impression.

Se ti piacciano gli Anime è la zona giusta. Rispetto ad altri quartieri è meno turistico. Ci sono molti ristoranti e bar. La stanza di hotel e essenziale ma funzionale e pulita. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en zeer smakelijk. Vriendelijk personeel en de kamer was zeer schoon. We hebben één avond gegeten in het restaurant en de pizza was echt super lekker! Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven!!

- Dean (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was within walking distance. - Excellent location. Very close to train and subway lines in the midst of eating, drinking and shopping, but not crowded like in Shibuya or Shinjuku. Bathrooms have shower stalls making it perfect for elderly and visitors with mobility issues. Can be a little noisy for rooms facing the street, but not surprising given the location. The room is small typical of Japanese “business” hotels.

The room was extremely small, and there was not enough space to fully open a suitcase. The shower water was far too hot, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature properly. Housekeeping also took a long time. Breakfast was unavailable for the entire week due to plumbing issues, which added to the inconvenience during my three-week stay. In addition, the air conditioning and fridge were not working. There was also a lack of communication from the hotel regarding the earthquake, the ongoing issues, and the reduced hotel facilities.

And window cannot opened wide enough for airflow

It’s close to the Ikebukuro train station, the airport bus shuttle stop, anime/manga attractions, 7e right across the hotel. If you need halal food, there’s a few great restaurants closeby too. Hotel provides vending machine, gym, laundry, ice machine, drinks. Room is realllyy cosy. I love the pillows. Might be a little cramp for 2 but great for 1 solo traveller. Front desk staff can also communicate in English and very friendly. I don’t have any complaints :)

Rooms have the small size typical of what one can find in Tokyo but are very well optimized to offer a comfortable stay. Customers look mostly tourists but also busyness men or women. The japanese breakfast is excellent and the location is in a cosy room. I have not tried tje western style breakfast. None
