Guest Reviews
- Rotana (10/5): - Old and not up to date
- Chong Wa (8/5): - Property is great. House keeper needs to do better job in cleaning. it may need to update
- Peter (6/5): Up grades called for at the Aiyapura hotel - An eleven year gap between stays at this hotel and not much had changed. The place is lacking investment.
Arrival an hour before the check in hour of two o clock proved to be an hours wait on hard seating.
Rooms need upgrading. The area in general has greatly improved and is nice. Lots of good places to eat. Quite a long walk to the station, but the rail system is brilliant.
- Nadia (10/5): - My stay this year must have been the 8th time in 15 years!
The swimming pool, gym, Wongwian yai train, BTS and market makes it very convenient to stay around or go further.
The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful and very quiet.
The staff are all very nice and helpful and the cleaning of your room and water bottles and coffee is given daily.
Will return again.
- Irmgard (10/5): - Stayed twice at this hotel within 2 months. Both times great experience. Great staff. Very helpful when I had questions. Everything in good working condition. A bit dated, but I didn't expect more for the price. Liked location, close to Metro and lots of smaller stores and eateries in neighborhood. Self-service laundry close by. This is an excellent place for a longer stay on a budget.
- Dennis (10/5): - Great price fantastic pool
Professional staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly staff, affordable and not to far away - Really helpful friendly staff, just a basic room set up. Very cheap and affordable for travelling.
- Ian Ernest (10/5): - Although the hotel was out of the way of the main parts. The BTS is literally up the road. Decent priced hotelvwith nice pool.
- jeanette (10/5): - The only thing I would like is for the restaurant to reopen.
- jeanette (10/5): - I loved that they have a small gift shop again. Wonderful gifts small price. I hope they can reopen their restaurant again
- Bruce (8/5): - Dead bugs on the floor, dirty fan over the bed, and a dirty tabletop. Also, I reserved a king and got a queen bed and a non smoking room and got a smoking room. They advertised king beds but they only have queens.
- Randy (10/5): Quiet place with an amazing pool! - The people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and large, comfortable beds, and very conscientious cleaning staff, concerned that you always have water and all that you need. The pool and the gym are as good as it gets. Really amazing. I swim every day, and that's why I'm here. And usually, I'm the only one in this Olympic sized pool. So grateful. There's also a very nice and clean laundromat, coin operated and very affordable with nice new washers and dryers (and detergent for 5 baht.) And there's a Reverse Osmosis water machine next to the Laundromat and Tops supermarket to fill your large water bottle.- for long stays. A 5-minute walk to the right of the Hotel. You won't find a better deal than this, with these amenities, in Bangkok!
- Stephen J (8/5): - The property is good because the cost, gym, and steam room. the transportation is a little out of the way. overall it is good.
- jeanette (10/5): - For the last 9 years this is where I stay every time that I am in Bangkok. The ease of walking to the BTS is great and if you get tried there is always scoter taxis to take you where you want to go. The hotel is great value for your dollar
- jeanette (8/5): - quiet easy to get to BTS. The mao of the area around the hotel included the name of the nearest BTS stop which was so handy for getting tickets back to the hotel.
- jeanette (10/5): - quiet family friendly
- Brandon (8/5): Good hotel for it's price - It was a pretty good hotel for the price. Decent area around, some nice malls and lots of street food, and it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the sky train.
One complaint i had was the shower was off, it was facing the wall, and sometimes the heat wouldn't turn on(i think they turned it off for the night?) so it wasn't very easy to take a shower haha.
Also, the staff were very friendly and even taught me a couple words in Thai :)
- Dennis (8/5): - Great staff clean
Maintenance department needs to clean filter in air con unit
Will return
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I had booked 2 rooms. The hot shower was not working in one of them so we had to pack our things and move to another room. The second room had to be changed on the second night as it was so noisy. There was just loads of packing and unpacking as both rooms had to be changed.
- Jeff (8/5): - Great location for BTS, nice outdoor pool. WiFi was fair
- D (10/5): - Pool was great. Easy check in .spacious room close to shopping
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location near the sky train for shopping and other events is great, the area is lively, quiet generally, each room is a bit unique in color. The hotel lets clients store luggage for the times you check out and later return, There have been upgrades to door access and new refrigerators for those who stay longer. I would wish for better kettles to heat water for tea;coffee. For those on a budget this works well. Beds were firm, rooms as cool as you choose. Bought extra pillows, hangers and face cloth for personal use. You do your own dishes as you eat in. Fresh water every day and instant coffee. Great staff. Non smoking rooms. The pool is cool, the pol showers cooler.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a short walk to grocery stores and street shopping. Also it is a short walk to BTS.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Area is a bit far from the center, but it’s close to BTS, 24-hour open shops and mall. Great fitness facilities, best I’ve seen at a hotel. Big pool. Big parking area. Decent rooms, comfy and clean. Big minus is the reception. Incredibly slow, unfriendly and speaks very bad English. Has a weird attitude towards guests.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pool great front desk staff
Large hallways good sized rooms
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 2 or 3 ants .
Great place excellent staff.
Air conditioner should be cleaned
- Lord Nicholas (6/5): Needs a make over but could still stay budget. - Shocking internet but very friendly staff always willing to help, very good nice pool. Miss the cafe, needs a makeover but still stay Budget. Great location for Mall and market. BTS so near. Maybe one-floor makeover? Reception area needs looking at too could be nice lounge are?
- kaan (10/5): Best value. Near BTS skytrain. - I come here every time I’m in Bangkok. Big rooms, big showers, big pool. Free baggage storage. It is great value!
- Sarita (8/5): Not a bad hotel to stay at - It’s good for a 3 star hotel
- kaan (10/5): Good location, good price. - Only 10 minute walk to BTS skytrain.
- kaan (10/5): Our favorite hotel in Bangkok. - Our favorite budget place in Bangkok. We stay here every time. Big rooms, nice bathrooms, kitchenette, large pool, helpful staff, free baggage storage.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's an O.K. hotel for those on a budget. Nothing outstanding but nothing terrible either. We would stay with them again.
- Patrick (8/5): Good budget hotel - Clean room with aircon and fridge. Location not so central but has BTS close by for transport.
- Candice (10/5): 10/10 ! - Perfect hotel ! Perfect bedroom, perfect sport room And swiming pool. 10/10. I Will choice this hotel for The next time !
- Leanne (6/5): - Staff was nice, room was outdated but clean but does relate to the price of the stay. What was very disappointing was the fact we could only use the swimming pool and gym for a extra cost not included in the price we paid for our stay, so was very mis leading.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Front desk service is good. They even offer to help sending your postcard so you don't need to go to post office. There are also 3 convenience stores along the street opening 24 hours. Food stalls are also available along the road.
- Nathan (10/5): Enjoyable stay - We have stayed here on four different occasions. Great value. Easy access to BTS. Good gym and great pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): sometimes ok - some rooms are nice, some are not so, some staff is friendly some not so.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bring some Dettol - Filthy hole. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Nothing cleaned properly. Decaying.
Horrible, dirty changing room. One of the receptionists absolutely rude and nasty.
I thought she was picking on me. No, obnoxious to everyone. Every one I saw booking in was treated disgustingly by her. They tell her their name she makes them repeat it 3 times. Then ' Who did you book through?'. Then ' When did you book?'
- Sanim (6/5): Staying at The Aiyapura Bangkok - We could not use the pool which was the main reason of selecting this hotel. Wearing swimming suite is mandatory, and it was not mentioned anyhow to me until I got there.
Hotel room was not clean and staff were not friendly.
- Brandon (2/5): Filthy and badly smell hotel EVER - The hotel is smelly, filthy and in a very bad condition. Words cannot describe this hotel and do not trust any photos showing as the hotel has not had any renovation (even minor one) or any deep clean since it had been built.
You better stay somewhere else with these kind of money like the Step Sathorn.
- jeanette (10/5): quiet family oriented location - The Aiyapura has been our go to hotel in Bangkok for our last seven stays in Bangkok. The location is ideal for it's quietness. Small family run businesses are all around the Aiyapura.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cleanliness and safety - It quite good except the cleanliness of the hotel i understand that the hotel is a little old but in term of cleanliness is including you need to make sure that all the bathrooms is clean no used product left behind such as soap and also i saw some cockroach in my room ... for me it's understandable but for some other customers in the future they might think this is a big deal. Overall the hotel is nice all the staff are very nice and friendly I like this place Becuz it's close to transportation and all the food and market but for lady staying alone might be a little risky ... the room that i book it's pretty far from the security camera area so it might b better if have one that can see the corner too I m very happy staying in your hotel and looking forward to go back and recommend to my family
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well placed good value hotel. - Ver convenient for skytrain, good eating locally. Swimming pool is good, with adequate sun beds.
- jeanette (8/5): close to BTS - we had another nice stay at the Aiyapura. We stay there every time we are in Bangkok.
- jeanette (10/5): - The hotel staff are amazing, due to an allergy they went out of their way to make my breakfast special.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A great budget hotel with facilities - A good sized room interesting area a little far from the center (but near bts) but if you know Bangkok a little a good place to stay decent facilities pool gym - price is right.
- Mr Cop A Feel (6/5): Short walk from Wongwian Yai BTS - Room was decent size with newly renovated bathroom. Water pressure was strong which I liked. Bed was nice and big, aircon could be left on while you're out so you can come back to a cool room. It may seem like a waste of electricity but it had to be done because the sun shines directly in from the balcony, ALL DAY.
They could do something about the furniture in the room, especially the night table and the draws in the wardrobe unit. The draws' bases were falling out, there was dust and stain.
Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay. I was too busy exploring the city and didn't have the chance to try out the 20m pool but it looked very nice from balcony
- Verified traveler (8/5): budget hotel, great location - the hotel is in great location near to BTS station Wong Wien Yai, walk into alley and during walking there are 2-3 convenience stores
- Dr ZUlfiqar (10/5): NicE hotel Near to city Markets - My Experience Was quite good,
As i arrived on time so the staff received
me with pleasure
- cornelia (6/5): good value for money if you book online - bts close by and boat takes you to the palace - easy to navigate around the city - do not expect the Hilton - it is a simple budget solution in a non touristic average neighbourhood
- Bob (10/5): A cut above the average budget hotel - This is our second stay at Aiyapura. The rooms are basic: clean, not cramped, with amenities such as refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, balcony, desk, seating area, and swimming pool. Housekeeping staff is very friendly and does a great job. The only negative thing is that free wifi is advertised, but only one person can use it. If two people are staying in the room, the second person must pay. This seems a bit petty to me. The only saving grace about the charge is that the room is inexpensive.
- Jovan (10/5): Surprisingly - excellent stay! - 25 m swimming pool is fantastic; you have all you need for very low price comparing with other options. Staff is friendly and effective. Hotel is old but, if you don't need fancy one, but functional and exactly as advantaged. Location is good, not in real center but you need 5 minutes to get sky train and additional 10-15 minutes to be in center. From hotel, just 2 minutes, is market area, very interesting. You have two 24/7 shops around and street food available. Advantage is very busy and narrow street to hotel but you are in Thailand so enjoy this too. Hotel restaurant is good.
- robert (8/5): Good Hotel & Staff - Ngatives - shower floor very slippery low water pressure
no restaurants nearby except street food
didn't change sheets unless asked.
No sun on pool after 1:30 pm
Only one person can be on free wifi. You have to
pay for second user.
Staff very helpful - restauant food was ok and very inexpensive. Mini-mart in hotel lobby was well stocked. Lots of fresh fruit on street. Convenience stores and ATM very close. 4/5 blocks to BTS station. Room was big with large refrigerator. Overall a good experience.
- Ndumiso (6/5): Aiya experience - Gym and restaurant was also great as well as the stuff.
- Jeanette (10/5): Quiet Family Hotel - Although we were told check in was at three pm they allowed us to check in early (one pm). The staff went out of their way to accommodate us for our room requirements. wonderful stay again and a hotel I us every time I am in Bangkok!
- BISWAJIT (6/5): - The Hotel rooms are pretty good and well furnished. But the maintanance of the hotel, Room service and House keeping is not good. It is situated quite far from the main city Bangkok. The locality is also not very good.Smoking is not allowed in the hotel. For that you have to go outside, no smoking zone is available as well.
- marc (8/5): i ll be back - it was confortable , nice swimming pool, nice fitness, located near sky train
- Verified traveler (10/5): quiet - a good place to relax, close to shopping, BTS system,
- jeanette (8/5): Quiet comfortable - A quiet Thai neighbour, very family friendly. It may say it is budget hotel but the hotel is not budget in staff.
- jeanette (8/5): The hotel is close to the BTS, major bus routes - Friendly staff wonderful cafe, walking distance to major routes and transport, taxies bus took tooks. Not a party hotel but very family friendly. This is my third time staying here and I will return here everytime I come to Bangkok.
- Thawatchai (8/5): worth to stay - Nice room with low price
- jeanette (8/5): The Aiya may say it is a budget hotel but it's not - When we arrived we were show a standard instead of a deluxe room the staff corrected the mistake and had us in the in the right room with in minutes. Considering we arrived after midnight the went out of their way to settle us in to there hotel. Our stay was so pleasant we will always use the Aiya every time we go. The restaurant food is very good and reasonable price. For the claims of budget hotel, it is a first class operation.
The Aiya is in a very Thai neighbourhood, but we found the Thai people to so friendly and helpful.
- AJ (2/5): Don't stay here:( - Wi fi 150 BHT a day, gym 100 BHT a visit, pool was not clean. Rooms are nasty and surrounding streets made me cut my trip short. Staff unfriendly.
- Jeanette (10/5): Peace in the heart of Bangkok - This hotel is on a busy street but is so quiet inside you wouldn't know it. The hotel is only a couple of blocks from the BTS and from there you can go almost anywhere in Bangkok. The neighbour hood is very Thai, but you have new friends instantly. You also can shop and eat where the Thai people shop and eat. This is a very family oriented hotel and it is low cost without low quality. We look forward to going back again and again.
- Karen (6/5): Best budget accoms you will find near the city - Ive stayed at Aiya several times. The budget rooms are very basic but not uncomfortable. TV with english movies, hot water, a large fridge. The only complaint i have is that my room wasnt clean and obviously had not been properly cleaned as a rule. I did ask for it to be cleaned again but there were still long black hairs all over the bathroom floor!
Its around what you would pay for a back packers so its cheap, which is great, but you can expect to get what you pay for.
The facilities are good...i use the 30meter pool for laps and fitness swimming and their gym is very well kept and modern. Sauna and change rooms are great. Gym comes with the more expensive rooms and you pay for the gym if you just get the budget room.
The food at the cafe was authentic Thai and not too bad. They also have western style foods and american breakfasts.
The friendliness of the cafe staff was good, and they are very helpful. The staff on the front desk were overall helpful, although it depends on who you get on the day.
- mike (8/5): i like it !! - first time in thonburi area close to skytrain and shopping only drawback there should be a balcony but there were not, if I had get a balcony as they write I give it a 5 for like 20 dollar night.....mike
- Exoticfruit4 (8/5): Great Location - This is more like a guesthouse than hotel, but you are paying guesthouse rates. The owners are savvy; this was obviously a down market "service apartment" with permanent residents. When the BTS was to open, they kicked out some tenants, added some new items to studio apartments(chairs, tv, new mattresses) and advertised as hotel. I felt comfy enough, though the duvet was well worn and had repaired rips in it. The smell is bad, so bring some odor-kill spay, or incense. Large fridge, nice shower, fairly clean for a place that has most likely been lived in for 20 years. There is a sign at the elevators warning that injecting drugs is illegal on the premises. If you are finicky, or overly worried about security in this safe city, not for you. You get what you pay for. Local neighborhood delightful! Wholesale shoe, and purse supply district, with local food market. Foreigners are new here, everyone was very friendly and sweet; let's keep it that way. You get what you give, wear a smile and be polite and kind or else this will end up like Nana.
- subkingdom (6/5): Nice room for the price, but... - Nicely sized room for the price (actually more like a serviced apartment), but pretty run-down and we had plenty of cockroaches in the kitchen/bathroom area (we suppose the room hadn't been used for a while). The location (near Wong Wian Yai railway station) is nice for those who want to go to Maha Chai and Mae Klong on the commuter train, and also for those who want to avoid backpacker ghettos.
- Sonny (8/5): Value for Money! - The room is very spacious, surprisingly they have a normal refrigerator. The furniture seems to be old. I personally love the swimming pool, quality of the water is great! Walking distance away from BTS, Robinson Supermarket and the yummy food prepared by the road side hawkers. Overall I feel it is value for money.
- jenandpaul (4/5): ok room - As long as you're willing to take the skytrain these are fine rooms.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good basic accommodation - I stayed at Aiya Budget Hotel for one night. The room was very basic, but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool looked great, but unfortunately I didn't have time for a swim. I felt that the location was nothing special, so perhaps not the best choice for first time tourists - it felt more like a 'normal neighbourhood' than an area with good sightseeing, nightlife etc. However, it's quite close to a train station which makes getting there quite easy.
- scott (2/5): poor poor - the sports hall was a building site and the hotel in a poor area. this was the first time i have ever booed out of a hotel early due to the state.
- uhriahx (2/5): BUGS BUGS BUGS - This hotel is filled with bugs. There were swarms of ants and baby roaches would pop up here and there. They gave me a bug spray to use, but didn't take money off of the bill. This hotel is fairly close to the BTS and it is close to some great shopping. So enjoy!
- ishiidobie (6/5): You get what you pay for: Budget Hotel is correct - Nice hotel, not so modern, but not bad. Out of the way from just about everything. At only $20 a night I cannot complain, but if you are the complaining type you might want to splurge and extra $50 and get something more modern and closer to town.
- Verified traveler (2/5): bad hotel for a family or business people - this hitel is 45 minutes friom the airport and is located in an alley ware not even a taxi cab drive around the staff of the hotel no placent i supose staid 6 day bath only staid 2 day it was bad hotel
- Don (6/5): - Very good value for the price. This was my third stay at this hotel.
- Andy (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Excellent value for money
- Twiggy (6/5): Decent Hotel in the Middle of a Nowhere - Pros:
1. Quiet location
2. Hotel staff are helpful and courteous
3. Less expensive
4. Free swimming at pool with very few people.
5. Cheap and good wifi speed ($ 8 for 1 week, 3 mbps)
6. Printing services available at lobby
7. Taxis are easily available
8. 2 blocks from last BTS train station
9. Within the vicinity of wet market
10. Restaurant serves good food
11. Rooms are cleaned everyday including changing of pillowcases, upon request
12. Very spacious room with laundry sink
13. Lots of cabinets
14. Water is fine.
Cons:
1. Very far from Airport, about 40 kms, and difficult to find.
2. No other decent restaurant in the area, except their own.
3. Located in an area where anyone hardly speaks english.
4. Local residents are having siege mentalities around 9:00 pm. Looks like an abandoned ancient chinese market after that.
5. Most staff are struggling with English but they are trying their best.
6. No nightlife in the area. Linen stores are everywhere for miles around.
As you can see, I am not mostly concerned with the appearance or furnishings of the room because I planned on going about the city for most of my stay and I just needed a place to sleep and take a bath. In most accounts, this hotel did not serve my purpose although I would say that as a place to stay, it has lived to my expectations.
This hotel is OK for an overnight stay or two, but beyond that, it's your call.
- Andrew (10/5): Stay here for best value and best comfort! 5 STARS - I don't know why everyone does not stay here. The location is excellent, 3 min from subway...10 min to downtown. On a quiet street but close to action if you want it. The hotel is lovely, beautiful pool, large room with fridge and cupboards, ability to make tea/coffee. The restaurant is great with a lovely terrace. The staff are excellent, fairly good english and they will try to do anything for you. The housekeeper went out onto the roof/canopy with a stick to get our shirt that blew off the balconey. I cannot give this hotel high enough marks. The only thing is do not look at the map on Expedia, it is near Wongwian Yai subway stop, NOT Krung Thon Buri, next station over but when you arrive for directions go to the proper subway station.
- Ma (6/5): Awesome swimming pool; Basic accommodation. - Room had a water kettle and a fridge. Bed was hard to sleep in... Overall quite reasonable. Had to pay for wifi but worked well. Only one device allowed on wifi.
- Mia (6/5): Not very nice place - Area around the hotel was pretty bad... But if you want to see how locals live, it can be intresting. I saw cocroaches in the street near seven eleven. Hotel is in a very dark alley and in the end of skytrain line. Not very safe feeling. Room was not very nice, old furniture and not so clean. I cannot recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The appartment is large and very comfortable.
However it is located in a nothing-to-do neighbourhood, and the staff (non-english speaking) is correct but does not offer a great service quality (you sometimes feel to disturb them).
- Alalal (8/5): alalal - This is a great place at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed my stay 100%. I recommand it and I'll definitely book it in my next trip.
- Elvis the one (8/5): just nice - quit clean and nice place to be. Very good value for that price. I have been in Thailand many times and this is one of the best value hotel where I have been. Easy way to Centrum with skytrain. When I go to Bangkok I will take that place again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Was nice. - The hotel itself is at the end of the rail line. Which I actually found to be a nice little escape from the madness of Bangkok central.
It's still easy to get around and the locals don't hassle you at all. The rooms were modest but clean and secure and the staff friendly enough.
I'd stay there if I was ever in Bangkok again.
- Benny (8/5): very cheap and close to everything - I was very surprised how comfortable this hotel is, taking the low price in consideration. It is very close to everything - about 200 m to BTS. And in a nive thai neighbourhoud, with no tourists. The street is busy as it is everywhere in Bangkok, but we like this place very much and will come back for sure.
- Carrie (6/5): OK hotel, great location - If you want to get out of the tourist hoard on Khao San Rd, this is an interesting place to stay. It is located right near the skytrain line, so you have easy access to destinations around the rail transit system throughout the city. It was also an interesting neighborhood with vibrant markets, food and bakeries. If you're looking for a place where the tourists do not out number the locals, this location was great.
The hotel itself was minimal. We didn't feel overly welcomed by the staff. The room was minimal but had working AC, a decent shower, a table, windows and a large refrigerator. We stayed in two different rooms, one had a safe and the other didn't, so if that is important make sure you double check that.
All together, we thought the service and slightly under maintained rooms in the hotel were worth it for the neighborhood. Oh, and having access to the pool (part of a health club attached to the back of the building) was an added bonus at the end of a hot, humid day walking around Bangkok.
- Anonymous (8/5): Near BTS, good location, Receptionist - Near BTS, good location, Receptionist no smile to greet customes
- Ray (6/5): adequate low budget hotel in Bangkok - Considered "on the other side of the river" by local taxi drivers and tour companies. Tour companies will not pick up at this hotel and made us meet at hotels closer to city center. Is within walking distance to MTR train. Taxis and took tooks (motor tricycle) available out front. Older neighborhood with work shops and food shops lining the streets. Overall, a good cheap, clean hotel for the budget minded. No frills.
- Rashmi (6/5): We liked it! - We liked the stay at Aiya Resedency, Bangkok. The hotel had all the facilities we expected during our short(3 Nights) stay, very economical. The rooms are spacious, neat and tidy. Excellent room services and well behaved/helpful and friendly staff. Though the hotel is located bit far from the main shopping areas, BTS station is only 250 Meters walk. if you are out shopping better return after meals, the restuarent is closed at 2100hrs.
Disadvantages: Rooms are poorly lit. Distabce from main shopping center and communication(you will have to be patient with the staff - English not well spoken.
- Davis (10/5): Thai trip - it was great place to stay away from the traffic and many people, i took the train in the mornings to the central part of the city only 12 minutes to MBK and Siam.
- Christian (8/5): great place, great pool... but bring your poolcap - The hotel is fine, very close to BTS so you can take the skytrain to the city without being stuck in a taxi in a Bangkok traffic jam at 5 -7 pm.
Pool is great by you have to get a stupid pool cap for 120 bath to get in... and they were out the first day. no pool cap no pool. The staff at the hotel did not tell us this when we checked in. just buy one for 60 bath at any store and avoid this little annoyance. But rooms are ok for the price
- Josh (4/5): Would not go back - Too far from the city centre, feel as though information was slightly misleading
- bert (8/5): choice spot with quick access to all good city locations. - expedia reservations were found promptly.
clean room a good size with kicking a/c & good size refridge,
excellent huge swimming pool,
very good proximity to the BTS skytrain (about 2-3 blocks),
lobby computers are fast and cheap
quick efficient attentive & nice staff.
I returned a month later for another week (3 total) before leaving thailand.
no problems at all.
- Cait (6/5): A classic you-get-what-you-pay-for - For our trip to Bangkok, we chose this hotel for its location/price. It is fairly conveniently located off the Skytrain line, but it's about a ten minute walk down a somewhat sketchy alleyway to get to it. Service at the hotel was mediocre...we asked reception to call us a taxi one night for the following morning, and they never followed up with us/called one.
There was cheap internet access in a decent lobby, but there were fees to use the pool/gym. Our room was decent size, but there were small bugs everywhere. The bathroom was also not what I would consider clean. It did have AC/a fan on the ceiling.
Probably wouldn't stay there again, but if you are looking for someplace cheap/on the Skytrain line and don't mind some minor inconveniences, it's not too bad.
- Christopher (8/5): Cheap place, very far away from - Cheap place, very far away from central bangkok but right next to the skytrain so you can get there in 15 minutes.
- Philip (6/5): Had to ask for a room change as - Had to ask for a room change as I wanted nonsmoking and they gave me a dirty smoking room, second room was okay.
On the website they offer FREE gym, not so, I argued with the manager at paying 100baht each visit, but as the gym is small and open to non-residents it got busy at times but as you pay, you can't leave and come back another time without paying.
I suggested guests pay 100 baht and visit as many times as they want during the day, or even a weekly pass, the manager ignored me.
As I am a manager of a London hotel I found it poor organization and bad customer service.
- Brian (8/5): Modestly priced but above expectations - Great hotel, love the ability to go for a swim at the pool, which is big enough that you don't feel crowded by other people swimming aswell.
Area is great, although Taxi drivers have some real problems finding it, and it would have been nice if it was a little closer to the main Bar areas (Patpong / Nana Plaza etc). But it's close to the temples which is handy, also it has a BTS station around 5 mins walk away which is extremely convenient.
