We stayed at this hotel for a week. We returned here last week to celebrate the 8 year anniversary of our first meeting. The hotel was just as I remembered...perfect! The location is excellent, the room outstanding, and the best feature was and still is the staff. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful...again.

Breakfast is served on the top roof with nice view. The staff at the reception as well as at the restaurant were very friendly. We spent 5 gorgeous nights and enjoyed our trip.

- jonathan (10/5): - Beautiful quaint antique hotel! We did not want a modern hotel and this hotel won us over with its charm. We opted for a deluxe room for the extra gold curtains! Friendly staff, room above the alley was quiet. Walkable to old city tourist attractions. Good rooftop breakfast buffet that changes daily with lovely views of Blue Mosque and the ocean. Coffee shop downstairs has a solid espresso. It is an old building so the wooden floors creak and occasionally hot water is sparse. Good AC, corner store and nice seafood restaurant across the street. The suggested airport shuttle was a good call. Front desk helpful with transit planning. Would recommend and would stay again.

Excellent location, close to Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque. Delicious daily breakfast. Excellent staff (Mr. Irhan & Mr. Ismail in particular) and wait staff. Hotel is clean and well kept. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. A great stay!

Walls were w/ significant cracks, in the bathroom it was the worst. Room I stayed w/ significant dust, especially front of the windows where the beds are located. Cleanness usually is a good trait of people in Turkey, I was surprised this poor cleanness in the room. Staff is kind, breakfast is good. They have to take care of the rooms like the way they do the hotel lobby. I would not chose this hotel again.

If you have elderly persons or persons with mobility issues the walk up the hill to the blue mosque may not be for them but if not you are there in under 10 minutes with easy access to the main transportation links including the hop on hop off bus.

- farhat (8/5): - The rooms were a bit small but since we booked 3 connected by an hallway, all for our family, so it worked out. But what really bothered me was the motion sensor on the lights in the hallway. It was our area where we kept luggage and the light kept going off every few seconds. I asked the staff to turn off the timer or delay the time to every 20 minutes or so but it never changed. That really made our packing and every day organizing in that area hard. Also, breakfast seem very basic. I wish they had an option to update to traditional breakfast spread. But for the price we paid, it seem like a very decent place and location was unbeatable. You can also catch a view of blue mosque from rooftop! Overall good facility and helpful staff.

Its a beautiful little hotel located in the heart of SultanAhmet district where all big istanbul attractions are at walking distances and probably 50 restaurants at 1 to 10 mins walk. Their breakfasts were pretty decent with a beautiful views looking at the ocean from their terrace.

- Steve (8/5): Decent hotel close to Blue Mosque and Hagi Sofia - A good choice if you want to be close to the major tourist spots in Istanbul Old Town. About 10 mins walk from Tram stop but plenty to do in walking distance. Room good size and comfortable bed. Unfortunately air con only on heat mode so room rather warm at night. Breakfast selection pretty good, although no meusli or yoghurt which was a bit surprising. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend it.

The hotel is only five years old so it is very up to date but with a classy look in the room. Shower water pressure was very good. Close to everything. Bed comfort is one of the best of any hotel I traveled to before. I highly recommend it :-).

The hotel is basically a 5 minute walk from the tourist sites, you can see Blue Mosque from the windows, and is on "restaurant row" in Sultanahmet. It could be noisy in the early evening at times but otherwise a very pleasant room and stay.
- Berkeley (8/5): - Overall decent space, clean rooms w nice view and excellent breakfast! There is coffee, tea, and water in the rooms, plus a minibar if you're ok to spend extra. They also have airport pickup/dropoff as well as laundry, however they do charge a fee for those services which I was not expecting. They have AC as well, but I'd advise keeping your curtains closed if you really want it to work. The location is close to a lot of attractions, which is great for sightseeing, but I will say it is quite touristy and accordingly things are a lot more expensive. If you're going to eat or do activities, I'd advise taking the tram to a less touristy area.

- Olga (8/5): - We prefer to stay in traditional Ottoman houses around the old city to be close to the best sites. This hotel was that quiet traditional house with few guests and excellent staff. It was not shiny, modern, and glitzy. Everything was great. The only real negative for us was that the room we stayed in looked very different in comparison to the one online during the booking. In the description it said "partial sea view" and we looked at the white wall of the neighboring house 2 feet away from our window. Some guests would also find the TV size pretty inadequate, but at the end of the day, you do not come to Istanbul to watch TV.

The room was clean, staff helpful, great location, and excellent breakfast. I recommend sitting up on the small terrace balcony and enjoy the view of the Blue Mosque with some Efes from the convenience store across the street. One of our favorite things was that the AC was on 24/7 in our rooms which we hadn’t found at any hotel we’d stayed at. If you’re going to visit Istanbul, just stay here!!!!!!!!!!

Breakfast was excellent on the roof top, but enclosed so you can enjoy the view in all weather. Staff was great, especially Ismail at the front desk!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet hotel close to the main attractions - Had a very friendly welcome with a cup of tea. The room was on the ground floor and could have been used with the adjoining room for a family as there was a private lobby between the two rooms. The room was quiet as didn't face the adjoining road which was busy. The breakfast was varied each day and they would make an omelette for you on request. A good location for restaurants and visiting the main attractions. There were long queues at some of the attractions so we used the Istanbul epass which meant you jumped the queues. Would use the hotel again.

The service at the hotel is very warm and friendly and the receptionist gives good advice on how to make the best from your stay. The rooms are slightly old fashioned with the decor but it's clean and room amenities are sufficient. Overall, a lovely hotel with great breakest at the rooftop terrace.

Na recepção são todos muito solícitos, o hotel tem um serviço que leva você no inicio do passeio onde tem acesso a Pamukkale que é onde estão as piscinas termais as ruinas de hierápolis e aos castelos de algodão. É bem próximo o retorno você faz a pé é muito próximo do hotel. Café da manhã com muitas variedades e um ambiente muito agradável.

They were all highly professional and were dedicated to ensuring my stay was the best it could possibly be. The hotel is located just a short distance from the masjids and has a free breakfast on the terrace every morning until 11am. There's a corner shop opposite and plenty of food options locally but be wary of pricing! The hotel comes with en suite and has a hairdryer which was nice. The rooms are spacious and I enjoyed the decor. Ismail was extremely helpful and booked our taxi to the airport and offered information whenever I asked. The only downside is the Tv that came with the room was quite small and was not facing the bed, but other than that I enjoyed every aspect of this hotel and to be honest if you are looking to go to Istanbul, the last thing you will do is watch Tv. However, it would have been nice to be able to connect my fire stick after a long day of walking. The room service was excellent, the bedding smelled fresh and I was happy with the general cleanliness of the place. If you are staying in Istanbul and would like to do all the tourist activities this is the prime location, get yourself an Istanbul kart and you can get around the city pretty easily and visit the grand bazaar or even use the ferry to cross over to the Asian side.
- Hajera (10/5): Extremely attentive staff - We really appreciated the personal touch of the hotel staff, they really made it comfortable and enjoyable for my kids. The rooms were wonderfully clean.
- Marisabel (10/5): - Very convenient to visit all sites. Morning breakfast was delicious, and with a marvelous view of both the Bospherous strait and the Blue Mosque. Highly recommend. The only negative was the wifi was not great in the rooms.

- David (8/5): - Very convenient for the main tourist sites. Reasonably quiet though it was near a car park which brought some noise but probably a lot quieter than hotels further along the street which were next to late opening restaurants. Staff were friendly and the housekeeping was very good. The shower was excellent with lots of hot water. Overall we would recommend for a stay in this part of Istanbul.
- Ariga (10/5): - We stayed for two nights and were satisfied with everything. Just five minutes walk from Aya sophia and Blue mosque. Though the street nearby is busy, it’s very safe and quiet because it’s one street away from the property. Staffs respond quickly, and were kind to explain the detail of available tours. Breakfast was amazing too. Enjoyed the local food unlike local-ish foods that some busy restaurant serve in the centre of the sightseeing city.
- Allison (10/5): - We would stay here again. The room was a great size, but the bathroom was very small. It was fine though. Some of the grout in the shower needed a good scrub, but i also notice these things and some may not. The area around is outatanding with sea views.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for sites, food and transportation. Excellent location within just a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Many options in the immediate area for restaurants and shops.

- Hugh (10/5): Superb stay!! - We just got back from Istanbul after a 9 day stay at Darussaade. From start to end our stay at this hotel was nothing but a pleasure. The staff at the front desk, Ismail and Irfan, were efficient, pleasant and very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, that we got to where we wanted to go, and inform us of the ins and outs of navigating Istanbul. We booked three tours thru them and each one was superb. In nine days it felt like we were friends. When leaving, we were hugging and promising that we will come back, like we were family. The rest of the staff were just as great. Birgul and Shakeera made sure our room was immaculate and well supplied each day. Mert, Ali, Zahide, and Zahire work on the terrace where breakfast is served. They provided excellent service each morning. Overall, the hotel was a very pleasant stay. It is 5 min walk to the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Jami) and Aya Sofia, therefore, a 5 min walk to the Sultanahmet tram station. Very convenient!! Right accross the street from the hotel is a restaurant, As You Sea Seafood&Kebab, which is excellent. The food is of great quality, unlike some of the restaurants on the busy street further on. Ridwan is the guy who works there. Its a must visit.
- David (10/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent hotel. Location is great, service is exemplary, breakfast is excellent. Room was quite small but had a great view of the Blue Mosque. The external company used for airport transfer was disappointing (hard to find, left us waiting well over an hour, and then turned our private direct ride into a 2hr multi stop odyssey)
- Kishver (10/5): - The staff Ismail in particular were excellent. The location is fantastic we could walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. There are loads of restaurants nearby and food was fantastic. The cleaning staff were also friendly and brilliant. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again.
