- AHMET EYMEN (6/5): Amazing staff but not so amazing other things - We booked a family room but since there was overbooking, we could not get that. As a solution, they gave us 2 rooms next to each other, and it was a nice gesture. However, fridge in the room was not working and we could only understand that next morning when the bottle of our medicine was still warm. Since it was a sunday, they could not get the fridge fixed but offered to keep the medicine at theirs. Room service was tidying up the room everyday but the room was still full of dust. On the bright side, all staff was really great. For all the problems we have experienced, they were so quick to offer an alternative. Location was also good with basically 15min walk to kaiser wilhelm church.

- cynthia (6/5): Housekeeping hassle - The terrible service we experienced was NOT due to COVID restrictions, it flew in the face of them. “Housekeeping” entered our room everyday to touch our bed. They replaced the towels we hung up to indicate we did NOT want fresh towels. (We’re environmentally friendly.) We got only one bottle of water for our five night stay. Housekeeping would NOT replace drinking glasses that were dirty when we arrived. To try get them changed, we put them on the floor! “Housekeeping” left them there. We added a note in German indicating they were dirty, no effect. They were still on the floor when we left. I wonder if they will still be on the floor when the next person checks in, or the lipstick smeared glasses will just be put back on the desk with the next guest’s ONE bottle of water. Also the bathroom door was balanced to bang into the toilet anytime you left it open and the shower head was only partially functional. Other than that it was a nice, modern, minimalist room. If you stay here, be emphatic with the front desk about your needs. Good luck.

Shower was rubbish and sprayed everywhere. Apart from that, service was good and friendly staff. Hotel was further out than expected and had to get a taxi almost everywhere. Over an hours walk to Checkpoint Charlie.

My scores are based on the fact that my expectations were really high for this place and what I received did not come close. Upon arrival my toilet was not clean and had to change rooms. Both rooms were not as colorful/character as in the pics but really dull as in brown,grey and white and nothing on the walls as in no paintings or colour on the wall. I was requested to leave a guarantee of 50 euros just in case I consumed anything...My fridge only had four bottles of water. We did not feel at all as if we were in a four star hotel. It was really basic.

They allowed us to check in nearly two hours early and with their checkout being at 12 noon, we had nearly 24 hours there. Rooms were spacious and clean. A bonus was that here was a fridge and the air-conditioning actually worked! They held our bags for free after checkout. Hotel is conveniently located. Stop by the bar/cafe and have a chat with Xavi who was a super friendly staff member.

Friendly, helpful, efficient staff behind the reception desk and very clean and large room. We hadn't booked breakfast but opted to have it a couple of times while there and were very impressed with what was on offer. Will definitely stay again.

- gary (8/5): Lovely hotel, staff and location. - The ABBA Berlin Hotel is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and spotlessly clean throughout. Our check was quick and simple and even allowed to check in early. The location is great and less than 10 min walk to either ulhand str or savinyplatz stations taking you in any direction for visiting Berlin. The only negative for us was that the air con in the room was not the best and made it a little uncomfortable given the high temperature during our visit. However this would not stop us booking this hotel again, possibly in Oct when we are looking to return when the weather is a bit cooler.
- Alexandra (8/5): - We stayed in a triple room on the 4th floor. Whilst spotless, spacious and with good facilities, we found it to look a little clinical - it just wasn’t very homely! There were no tea or coffee making facilities (which, with us being from England, we found a little disappointing), and the decor was plain. We also found the room incredibly noisy - it was on the front of the hotel facing the main road and so you could hear the noise/traffic outside 24/7. The location, however, was excellent - Charlottenburg is a wonderful area, with bars, restaurants, shops and the zoo all a short walk away.

Room was spacious, furnished to a high standard and had an internal additional door between main door and bed area which negated any noise, very quiet.. Bed was large and comfortable, pillows a little firm.. TV, safe in room, ample cloth storage and a tidy shower/bath area, minbar in room.. Small hotel bar in lobby, large dining area which serves a decent breakfast with varied options.. Spa and gym on site.. Overall a nice stay, one minor bug bear is, as is common in most hotels, ‘running the smokers gauntlet’ by the front door!

- Jon (10/5): Quiet and clean hotel close to Kurfurstendamm - Very clean room with excellent service and good value for money catering. The rooms are basic but provide everything necessary for a comfortable stay. My only criticism is that no tea or coffee making facilities are provided in the room.

- Tomas (10/5): Super spacious rooms in a great location - This hotel is amazing - the rooms are spacious and it is in a perfect location. There was a bit of a mix up with them putting me and my friend in a double room when we requested a twin room but they were quick to change that and although they weren’t able to change our room that day they offered to take care of all of it the next day even moving our belongings to another room - they gave us free breakfast for our stay to clear up this issue. The rooms are very clean and come with all that you’d want for a perfect stay in Berlin. Plus it’s right across the road to a LIDL so perfect for buying food and drink for your days out in Berlin if you’re going on a budget

- sleeps2go (10/5): Easter in Berlin - A modern hotel the ABBA is well located for transport and shopping, it is well kept, clean, and staffed with pleasant and helpful staff. A slight disappointment is the bar \ cafe area closing at midnight, ourselves and quite few others returning from a night out found we could not get a drink of any description, a shame as the bar area is very pleasant, midnight was possibly just an hour too early, something for the management to think about.

- Stuart (2/5): Abba......Take a chance on this. ....not again - Welcome ok and the staff was friendly; but they wanted passport and deposit on arrival. The only hotel to require this during our Germany travels. Room given was for a disabled persons and thus the bathroom was a wet- room which would not have been bad if it wasn't for all the disabled- person features and the sink. The tap in the bathroom was operated by finger sensor. As soon as the finger moved the water stopped. Further there was no method of containing the water in the sink. In the end a member of staff brought a bowl up from the kitchen in order that I might have a shave. The fitness area is a complete joke. There are no lockers. There are no hooks on which to hang even a bathrobe. All goes on the floor. The jacuzzi was well below temperature and many of the jets were faulty. Unusable! At best only 3 persons could sit in it if they should want to. Tiny. The sauna was a joke. The temperature was so low. After 15 minutes I left without breaking a sweat. The toilet and sink very shabby. The sink had no plug. I was getting this complimentary because of the hassle prior, but they actually charge to use these non-facilities. The bar looked ok and served the lighter snacks of the restaurant, but it, like the restaurant lacked any sense of atmosphere let alone a German experience. There are plenty of places at which to dine and be entertained close-by. I doubt if i would ....take a chance on...Abba again. Better can be had for £90 per night.
- Danise (8/5): Two weeks in Berlin - We stayed from July 28th to August 11th. The front desk personnel were always courteous, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The room was immaculate as was the bathroom. The only slight issue was the fact that the toiletries provided on the first day were not replenished until we asked. We also ran out of toilet paper a couple of times but these issues were remedied quickly by the front desk. Breakfast was wonderful. The buffet had something for even the pickiest eater.

The position of the hotel is ideal being only 300 meters from the U Bahn and only 200 meters from a bus stop, very convenient. We did not use the eating facilities as we preferred to be out most of the time. We did use the spa facilities most nights (Jacuzzi) which was free and a good way of rejuvenating our aching feet at the end of the day. Rooms were very clean and well serviced each day with fresh towels. Good air conditioning. I would not hesitate in using this hotel again and would highly recommend it to all.

Location was good, in a neighbourhood that felt safe with easy access to public transport. The room as big, far bigger than other European city-centre hotels. The only (minor) let down was the bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable and the air conditioning was awful. The window only opened narrowly and the street noise was too loud to keep the window open through the night so the room became very hot and stuffy. Would definitely choose to stay here again - but only in the winter time!

- Brent (10/5): I will definitely be back next time I visit Berlin - A very good feel to the room. Faux-chandelier was a nice touch! Good bathroom. Everything just right. A reasonably large charge for a very small sauna with jacuzzi in a different area seemed a bit odd so I didn't bother but regretted this. Breakfast was excellent however.

- Mac and Jools (8/5): Location, location! - My wife had been to Berlin before the wall came down and had fond memories of the place and it is one of the cities on my bucket list. So, with four days to play with, off we went. First, the hotel is clean and modern and just off Kuffurstendamm - so, handy for most things posh! Staff were polite and VERY helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied enough for most tastes. As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel scores really well for its location. The underground is five minutes away and the nearest stop for the tour bus isn't much further. The transport system is efficient, fully integrated and relativey cheap - wake up London! Berlin is a big place with lots to see so we used the tour bus to get our bearings and list the things we wanted to get back to. We didn't manage it all in our four days, so will have to go back at some point to finish it off. We used public transport for things further afield - like Sachsenhausen concentation camp - and had no problems finding our way at all. Multi-trip/day tickets are worth thinking about if you intend to get out and about beyond the city centre.

- Anna (10/5): Best hotel we stayed at in Germany - We had a fantastic stay at the Abba Hotel in Berlin. The hotel is beautiful and staff was very accommodating. They also have a great bar. I wish there was an Abba Hotel in every city we visited!

It was inconvenient but we were give free breakfast as compensation. Rooms large bed was extremely comfortable. No mini bar (it was empty) No tea and Coffee making facilities
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel close to transport. - Decent hotel, clean and comfy beds. Wouldn't say it's amazing but for a short stay perfectly fine. No tea and coffee making facilities in room is a drawback as is the double bed being two singles pushed together (that's a twin)

- Nicki (10/5): Brilliant Break in Berlin!!! - Very central for the Ku'dam area and very close to the U-bann and other transport. Superb hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included and was an amazingly good spread served at good times. Bar food very tasty and desserts beautifully presented, with fun cocktails to bout!!! Would definitely recommend to others and would certainly go back.
- Laura (10/5): Modern hotel with good transport links - The hotel is located within the Charlottenburg district with good transport links to the city centre. We arrived at the hotel for 12pm but check in is not until 3pm and had booked a 3 single bed room. The staff were very helpful and were able to offer us a room that was already available but had a double and two single beds. Food at the bar was very good- Ham and Cheese toasty with chips was €6.50. Cannot comment on the restaurant or buffet breakfast as did not use these. There is a gym and jacuzzi available free of charge to guests but the sauna is a €5 surcharge
- andy&poochie (10/5): Modern, stylish hotel. - Fantastic, clean, modern hotel in a lovely area. Close to many restaurants and bars and a few minutes walk to the k'dam-shopping !! Best subway to use for this hotel is the savignyplatz (S Bahn) although the zoologischer stop is also handy. Highly recommend the tapas in the hotel restaurant, lovely food, great ambience and staff very helpful. Will definitely return here soon. A great 4 star hotel.
- Robert (10/5): Great value for money choice - I travelled to Berlin to experience the city for the first time, visit a former colleague and to attend the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. The hotel was chosen because it is close to my friend's home. I was not disappointed. It represented excellent value for money.
- Georgina (8/5): Abba hotel - The hotel was nice, located in a lovely area. Food at the restaurant was also surprisingly very good. Easy to transport around the city via metro or walking not as far as we thought from the city centre.
- VB (8/5): Good hotel for a short stay - Hotel close to underground and many shops. A number of buses also to the city centre. Clean spacious rooms. Only problem was soap was not provided in shower or sink after second day. After informing front desk this was rectified.

Familiarity with the U-bahn and S-bahn trains allows you to go anywhere in the city conveniently- the trains do run on schedule- and stations were easy walking distance. Hotel had free Wi-Fi, from now on a requirement for my travel. Rooms were large, very well maintained, hotel was in a good neighborhood. An excellent value.
