• Nina (4/5): - Very bad checkout experience despite a pleasant stay While the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and I’d like to highlight the exceptional kindness of the young man who helped carry my luggage and assisted with deliveries — my overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by what happened during checkout. Despite having fully paid for my stay, I was not allowed to leave the hotel when I returned the room key. I explained that I was running late for a flight, but the staff insisted they had to “check the room” before letting me go, even though there was no minibar, and they already had all my personal information — my phone number, ID, and payment details. They literally told me “you cannot leave,” which was disturbing and inappropriate, and honestly felt like detention. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. This caused be an immense amount of stress, my taxi driver cancelled my trip as I didn’t show up on time. Additionally, I’d like to note that the gym was uncomfortably hot, despite the A/C being on. The equipment was decent, but the layout was strange and unsafe — the floor is uneven, with multiple levels and hidden steps. I nearly tripped several times. For guest safety, I strongly recommend adding brighter visual markers to the steps. I would not stay here again, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who values speedy checkout.

• Ryan (10/5): Recommend - It was a nice hotel in a decent location. 10 min walk to the brand new metro and lots of shopping. As for the hotel, the room was nice, breakfast was decent enough, and the staff was very friendly.

• Robin (4/5): Not a great experience - I arrived early and was charged an additional half day, i requested a cab to travel to leap 2025 they provided the hotel car which i was charged 300 pounds, on the first day, the porter give the driver the wrong address. When checking out the bell boy Accused me of stealing a towel. Which left me so annoyed, i opend all my Luggage in the middle of the street and showed him.I'd never stole a towel, all he could say was sorry sir Repeatedly which annoyed me even further. I AM NO THIEF. AFTER all the personal time and money i spent to go to Riyadh, my first experience was very bad. This hotel experience was the worst ever. Also the breakfast was poor, next time i will pay more and stay at the double tree or four seasons, going to a hotel like this not worth the stress and being treated like that. Its not 4 star, 2 max !!

• Rami (10/5): - This is an excellent hotel that combines value, cleanliness, comfort, great breakfast, and good staff. But to be clear, this is not the 5 start luxury hotel. Riyadh is a bustling city with either very fancy and expensive hotels or lower cost non-brand hotels. This makes it tough for travellers to choose value / lower cost options. This hotel is very recommend.
• Luay (2/5): - This stay in this hotel was a very bad experience. Power outage from 5:30 am till 9 am. Not even internet and basic services. The staff made it even worse by not facilitating help when they were able to.

During three nights it went off at 3 or 4am, resulting in a sleepless night. The point of booking a hotel is to have a place to sleep so I asked for a refund. • David Martin (10/5): Business trip Riyadh - The hotel is easily accessible and is short walk away from shops and local eateries. The check was quick and straight forward and the room itself offered plenty of space as well as a jacuzzi bath which unfortunately I did not have opportunity to use. The room was comfortable and offered the nice touches expected of this category of hotel. The only drawback from my stay was the noise outside at night which can keep you awake if you are attempting to go to bed early. An enjoyable stay and would recommend for a business trip stay, although be aware of heavy traffic during peak time during morning.

• Nipun (2/5): Worst experience! No room available at check in. - Horrible experience. Reached the hotel at 1am. The receptionist says that there is no room available. He says that you have to check in before 9pm or the reservation will be cancelled. Absolutely zero customer service or support. I would have understood if he said that they were oversold for some reason and if he helped me find an alternate hotel. But he just blatantly told me that there is no room available and turned off the lights in the lobby to make me leave the hotel. They haven’t ever processed a refund. They are telling hotels.com staff that I didn’t reach the hotel. Liars!

• Jason (10/5): Good value, friendly staff. - I ended up staying at Al Waha on two different bookings because it was a good value. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quite. The bed was great with really good pillows, and nice black-out curtains to keep the room dark at night. Breakfast was pretty good as well, with some variety each day. The staff were all very friendly.
• Branimir (6/5): KSA stay - Hotel on itself is quite old and deserves proper refurbishment. Pool was unusable as the floor around pool was very dirty and water totally cold. Food choice for breakfast and dinner is not great, mostly arabic meals were served and no many drinks on offer too. Free parking around hotel is benefit and it is close to Olaya Road (one of the main roads in Riyadh).

Dislike: Elevators were so slow and small, old furniture, no hot water in my bathroom!! fridge not cold, AC with two fan speed options only High and low and the low was as the high, parking is outside and it was not enough for all guests and finally the breakfast buffet was lower than normal I didn't like the options at all. I will not comeback again.

• Neil W (6/5): Short business trip to Riyadh - Hotel is located centrally and very convenient for cess to the business offices we required. Upon check in we were informed they had issues with Wi-Fi and also the door pass system, so a porter let us into our rooms. We only stayed for 2 days and in that time the problems were not fixed, hence the porter became our door keycard for our rooms. Not having any Wi-Fi was a costly experience has having to use roaming data on phone to access emails and internet. This fluctuated during our stay and attempts to resolve only lasted 30mins or less. The hotel is 4 star rated and probably about right. The restaurant service was not very attentive and the waiter more interested in watching the live T-V feeds than attending the very few guests in the room! The food however was good and the meals we selected cooked very well.

The staff is very polite & helpful during my late check-in. The room and toilet is very clean. All and all, I'm very satisfied with Al-Waha Palace, and glad to stay there for my next visit.

Very clean. 24x7 room service which works well since we arrive at all times of the day and having restaurants closed is a pain. Very helpful and prompt staff. The room service messes up order despite making them repeat the order. But when called and complained, promptly replaced it. So very satisfied. Will definitely stay here again on repeat visit in case I travel to Saudi Arabia again.

Also the hotel facilities i.e. GYM and swimming pool were somehow bad as they don't have people there, services and also the swimming pool was dirty and the shower room didn't have any soap or shampoo!!
• Steven (10/5): Gem of a hotel in downtown Riyadh - A small gem of a hotel, with good service and a good lounge. I had to spend a couple of days here between trips and it was relaxing and pleasant. A mixed client base of Arab and western guests. I stayed in a smallish but fairly luxurious room on the 4th floor - I saw a larger but plainer room on the 1st floor when I freshened up for my trip onwards. Didn't use the gym. A good breakfast menu and a good selection of Arabic and international food on the 24 hour menu. About 30 minutes from the airport - the only disadvantage for me. I usually stay much closer to the airport where my clients are.

Great amenities, courteous staff going out of the way to make you feel welcome and reasonable rates make this an ideal location. Will be staying there again for sure.
• Jeremy (8/5): Great hotel, great location - This hotel was a good find. Prices were much lower than most other hotels in the Olaya area of Riyadh and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were generally attentive and helpful. On the negative side, the restaurant really doesn't match up to the quality of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was rather limited and of dubious quality (stale croissants, badly bruised fruit, only sugary cereals - no muesli, plain yogurt only, etc). The dinner buffet looked even worse, with dried-looking meat and some tired desserts, so I went next door to the Holiday Inn instead, which was perfect. Also, the bathroom was odd (in a Deluxe room). The bath had a fixed glass screen meaning you couldn't reach to turn taps on or drain the bath without climbing into it! The shower door didn't close properly, resulting in a very wet floor but luckily there was a floor drain not too far away.
• Abdul (10/5): Excellent Hotel for Business - I absolutely loved this hotel - the room was clean and the staff courteous. The fitness center was decent, and equipment was reasonable enough given it was a hotel fitness center. Best of all, internet was fast and allowed me to work in the evenings without being impacted by my travel. The sunset cafe was open till 1AM, providing god food at a reasonable prices. All in all, a great deal.
