Cons: Very weak wifi. You need to pay extra if you want faster speed. Bottled water only supplied on the first day of my three-day stay.

The room itself was clean but very basic. I mentioned to the front desk that the mini fridge was not working but nothing was done about it. The worse thing however was the wifi connection. Considering this was a business trip, to say it was poor would be an understatement. So would I stay again? Unless I had to, No.

The hotel didn't had the reservation and I had to paid to have a room (it was midnight so could not search for another hotel). No solution was given to me and I had to call expedia to get them call the hotel. They gave me a 2 single bed in the room when I asked for a double bed. The lady at the frontdesk was rude and didn't help me at all, it was very frustrating. After expedia call the hotel, they found my reservation and refund me the amount I paid... but they didn't change my room. Very small room.

Verified traveler (8/5): Great value for money - Excellent value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Only thing about the room was that it was very cold outside and heating in the room was EXTREMELY high, so I ended up sleeping with the window partially open. Breakfast is modest but sufficient, served in a tacky/weirdly decorated dining room. Staff are helpful and polite, and there's a Metro station right at the door: three stops and you're right on the Red Square (or the Bolshoi). Would definitely stay here again.

Peter (6/5): Well Located - The Maxima is right at the Metro entrance, and train waits weren't ever more than 2 minutes, so getting to the Kremlin, Bolshoi, Red Square takes about 10 minutes. Plenty Take aways nearby. Rooms on the tight side, and front desk aren't so comfortable in English.
BL (8/5): A share building - The hotel is situated in a shared business building. They have check point behind the lift lobby. It seems secure but there is no internal lock inside the room. In the first night we stayed, somebody opened our door and ran away after discovered that we were inside. I tried to stop him but he ran away to the emergency exit. This made us feel insecure and need to lock our luggage everyday we went out for sight-seeing.

Mike (8/5): Handy for Metro - Stayed 5 nights in small single bedded room. Aircon worked OK, although fridge in my room not very cold. Decided 400 Rbl was decent price for breakfast with an adequate selection. However the restaurant furniture is from the Wild West & dusty. One also have to suffer the music on the loud TV. Useful ATM in lobby & Metro right on the doorstep. There's not a huge choice of local eateries in the vicinity.
US traveler (10/5): Close to metro - Pros: 1. The metro station is right next to the hotel. 2. Decent room size, new appliances in the bathroom. 3. Polite service. 4. AC. Cons: 1. The mattress pad is not attached to the mattress! If you toss and turn in your sleep, the pad will slide off the bed. 2. The wake-up call at 3 am was promised, but they never called. Fortunately I had back-up alarm options, otherwise would have missed the flight. 3. Taxi offered at the reception is x2 overpriced. Suggestion: use "Gorodskoe taxi" instead.
folks from Canada (10/5): Close to the subway - It was great. Super value. Great location. Shopping close by. Subway just steps from the hotel so you could come back late at night and it is safe. Grocery store close by. Restaurant's in the area. Very nice view from the room. We were on the 9th floor. The view of the city is fabulous. Great beds. Bathroom was very new and clean. Next time in Moscow, we will stay here. Very glad we chose this hotel.

D (8/5): One night stay - Stayed here with my fiance for one night before leaving Moscow. Big thing we wanted was close to be close to the Metro. It's right there. Exterior wise it wasn't great but interiors/rooms were good. Looked to be renovated recently. Rooms were small but clean and worked for what we needed. Only negative about the room was it was hot. Too windy to open the windows in winter. Surrounding area was fine. Few cafes, burger king, brewery restaurant and food stores right nearby. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but their prices were pretty cheap for Moscow.

sidney (6/5): Shoppers Paradise - It is a perfect location for ladies, because there are at least 50, if not 100 stores catering to ladies right under the building as you take the stairs to the subway, so it makes the location ideal to catch the subway/train and get to parts of the city that you need too. And don't forget to open the valve to your steam heater in your rooms where Moscow, uses steam heat, considering there are only two warm months(June/July), otherwise the breakfast buffet will fill you up!
Pieter (6/5): Check the details - The reviews and descriptions on the website are a fair reflection of the offer. The website said there was a safe in the room (essential requirement for me) There was not. I had to pay extra for a front desk safe and the staff would not budge on the principle.
Ann (10/5): Nice hotel for first time visitors to Moscow - 2 women travelling to Moscow for the first time - we found this to be an excellent hotel - the location is on top of a metro station meaning that the links to central Moscow are fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful providing info on taxis for the airport (& booking it for us), circus shows etc. The breakfast was more than adequate but standard breakfast buffet to be honest. We only ate the cold food on offer so cannot comment on hot food, if there was any. The breakfast room is slightly weird but it all adds to the experience. All in all, a good hotel, offering excellent value for money in an otherwise expensive city. Well positioned and incredibly friendly. An excellent choice for both business and tourist travellers alike.

Hosam Andijani (8/5): Nice hotel - This hotel is very nice considering it's rating as three star hotel. I can rate it 5 for value for money. The best thing about it is being two steps way from the metro station and having lots of servicing stores in the surrounding neighborhood. Fast food, mobile stores, bars, bakery, and supermarket are all around. When you are in Moscow in a vacation and you are a metro user, you have all Moscow when you have direct access to Metro. Considering other hotels (5*) I stayed in Moscow, this was better for me due to location. However, you should be carful during late night time as I could not feel safety in the street. We had two rooms each are business rooms in good rate. The hotel does not have two business room in the same level to serve our need of connecting rooms. We could manage it staying in different levels in the hotel. Beds are separated in business rooms (no queen or king size bed). All levels has a safety door that opens with a room key. Reception staff normally are trainees who speak little enough English with a fluent supervisor comes on a need.

Jenny (10/5): Unexpectedly great! - This hotel was a great surprise! Although it's not much to look at from the outside, and the lobby was excessively smoky, it was a great place to stay and the rooms on our non-smoking floor did not smell like smoke at all. The hotel was extraordinarily close to the metro and only a few stops from downtown, so we definitely feel like we got what we were looking for. This hotel is probably best for those who have some Russian language ability and perhaps those who feel comfortable in Russia. Room service was probably the weakest point of our stay, in that the food we wanted was not available through the regular room service and they didn't have enough staff to bring our order to us in our room or to pick up the dishes afterwards. So room service consisted of us making several telephone calls to try to order (in Russian), then going down to the Lobby Bar to order in person, waiting for the food, and carrying it to our room ourselves. After eating, we returned the dishes to the Lobby Bar. That said, there are other restaurants within a few blocks and some kiosks where you can pick up food on the go.

The exterior and surroundings of the area are not very appealing, but the hotel is literally a few paces from the Metro and two stops you are at the Kremlin/Red Square. The rooms are exceptionally clean and fully equipped with all you could need. The dining area is site to be seen, the decor is not in keeping with the rooms and to describe it as kitsch is an understatement. The buffet breakfast is well stocked and offers great value. Overall for the price, location and convenience to the metro, I think this hotel is very good value. The staff were also very helpful and all spoke excellent English.
MikeyPo (2/5): Maxima oh my - Was looking for hotel close to metro, about as close as you could get, just outside door. One stop to train to DME. Had early flight and Metro starts at 545, and train to DME is at 600. Great location, got there on time for both. But now the rub. Went to front desk and did the passport registration. Clerk asked for my companions ID also, ok, can live with that. Then he wanted her to sign paperwork to allow them to share information, opps that is not going to happen in Russia. He only need to verify her information not put address and all in computer for others to see. He said it was hotel policy and she would have to sign, said nope, not going to, he said if she does not sign she cannot stay there, said if she cannot stay neither will I, get manager!! He again said wait, I said bye, then wait she does not need to sign, ok, but will need to put all her information in computer, said again, bye, he said wait you need to pay, said nope, bye, walking out door and said ok no need to sign. Ok gave card and paid. We were upset if you can imagine, (Konstansi? was his name?) Went to room, more euro design, contempory room with two twin beds, Opps wait on I booked a king, not two separates, called down stairs, told no got king, said paid extra for it, said no we put you in room we have, looked at booking info and yep had requested 1 King non smoking. Too tired to argue and move around so told him fine, not staying again. When leaving asked for a receipt from K and looked like a deer in the headlights, you want receipt? Yep, not want to be charged again. Good place to catch Metro if early flight. Rest is up to you.

Verified traveler (10/5): On the steps of the metro - I stayed here with my two children recently for a short 5 day vacation. It was incredibly convenient. When we stepped off the metro we came up the steps and into the hotel. May I add we found the metro very safe at night time as it is always crowded. The business class room was very spacious and well equipped. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. There is a currency changing machine in the lobby which was very convenient. The hotel organised our airport transfers and this we found both efficient and reasonably priced. The breakfast was adequate but we found the restaurant surroundings quite depressing. If I was visiting Moscow again I would definitely stay at this hotel. Good value for money in a very expensive city.

Jane (8/5): Clean, modern hotel in good area - This hotel was reasonably priced in comparison with other hotels in Moscow which is an expensive city. It was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. A metro station is right on the doorstep and the metro service is better than any I've seen in Europe or America.
K (10/5): - Very convenient, next door to subway station. Taxi was expensive from Domodedovo airport. Room little small, nut its normal for Moscow. Breakfast was very rich and full and included into the room. The only problem I found id that they don't have gym.

StacyM (8/5): Comfort in a convenient location - The decor was nothing special, but the room was super clean and dead silent -- great for getting a good night's sleep. And the metro station was literally right outside the door, which made getting around really convenient. Staff were efficient and courteous -- we managed to blow a fuse, and the maintenance man was there instantly to get the electricity back on. Complimentary breakfast was buffet style and very satisfying. Overall, great value!

GP (8/5): Decent hotel, next to Metro - This hotel was conveniently located next to a metro station only a few stops from the city centre. The room was fine, quiet at night and fabulously warm after returning from the freezing weather outside. Reception staff spoke good English. The selection for breakfast was pretty reasonable.
Serge (4/5): stay away - This hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The only 2 good things are: subway station proximity and free breakfast. The most ridiculous thing you will find out after booking a Double room is that you actually get a room with 2 twin beds put together - very uncomfortable!! Most of the the Double rooms are that way. And if you complain at the front desk they will simply tell you there are no other rooms available. I would not recommend this hotel. For the price I paid ($199 with tax per night) I could get a better hotel, like Holiday Inn.
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice location - The hotel is located just next to metro entrance, that's very comfortable. The rooms are quite and comfortable. The only thing is old fashion restaurant, I would rate restaurant 2 from 5 but the hotel itself is modern and comfortable.
Marcus W (10/5): Great hotel in a convenient locations - Located right on top of a Metro station only a few stops from the centre of Moscow, the price was much less than hotels in the main tourist area, while still being of excellent quality. English speaking staff were happy to process our visa registrations. Breakfast was a typical Russian-style hotel buffet, the previously mentioned dance music was still there, but wasn't an issue for us. A number of convenience and food stores were located in the area, but nothing much else of note for tourists. For eating out you'll need to eat at the hotel restaurant or catch the Metro to the middle of town. or settle for something from a Russian fast food joint nearby.

Susana M. (6/5): Good bargain - The hotel is very conveniently located with a metro station right out of the front door. Easy and fast connections to the center of Moscow (10 minutes to Red Square). The rooms are not spacious but clean, beds are good, and the hotel has several non-smoking floors. The staff speaks English, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful. I would definitely stay there again.

Elena (8/5): good inexpensive business hotel, great location - The hotel is a very good deal for the location in Moscow, and it's entrance is just right next to the subway station. It is clean, bathrooms, towels, TVs are new. However, it is kind of minimalistic: there was no shampoo/conditioner, but only shower gel was provided, bed has very cheap (yet clean) mattress and pillows. Room service was provided after my second reminder. Breakfast is good for the price. Safe is located at the reception and can be rented for 50 rubles per day. There is no even simple coffee maker in a room. You can order it if pay extra 150 rubles (5 $) for room delivery, sounds quite ridiculous.
Dawn (8/5): Maxima Panorama in Moscow - This hotel was easy enough to get to by train from the airport but difficult to find once we were on the street. However, once we were there, we found that we had a clean, comfortable and safe room. There was no safe in the room but the front deck locked up our valuables in a safe behind the reception desk. I had a key for it. Breakfast was excellent.
Pavel (6/5): Overrated by other reviews - Maxima Panorama hotel is located next to the metro station "Avtozavodskaya", which is a plus. Rooms are clean. However: 1. There is bad smell in bathrooms, due to the sewage design. I had to put a towel over the drain in the bathroom to partially remedy that. 2. The food at breakfast in the restaurant, and in the cafeteria, is mediocre. 3. Hotel TV has Euronews in several languages, and BBC, but reception is bad.

mark (8/5): very efficent - walk out of hotel straight onto metro reception very efficent asked for kettle in room arrived by 10 min and sent up maintenance man to fix my suit case in 10 min.cleaness of rooms excellent towels even spelt out hotel name when hung no safe in room which i was expecting so that's the only bad note as breakfast was excellent which we thought was not included in our booking salmon fillets one morning.payed a little more for this hotel than usual but at start of day and end of day a shorter journey on metro to and from hotel 3 stops was worth it.
Michael (6/5): It was OK, fine for staying for a few days - One great thing about this hotel is that kids stay free if you don't need extra bed. Book a room for 2 adults rather than 3 people and save lots of $. Hotel's location is good, 1 station from circular line, right near the metro. The restaraunt is good, FREE full breakfast buffet has lots of choices. Some services were moved out into more expensive band this year. I booked standard room, this year safe is not for standard rooms, so I had to rent a deposit box (50rub/day). Also WiFi was free 3 hour/day is (never reached the limit), got a bit better (4 bars vs 1 bar last year), but still it's very slow (~250MBps). Room service was kind of strange. Usually they make your room around noon, in this hotel they did that after 2-3pm (not sure exactly when). One time they forgot to put soap so that we had to wash hands with shampoo, ordered soap came an hour later, surprisingly they forgot to put shampoo/shower gel next day. Rest/shower room was OK, although for my wife it was impossible to shower without lots of water on the floor (little attempt to arrange shower curtain fixes that), shower soap shelve was always taking off/didn't stay in. There was plumbing-like smell coming out from restroom which seems to have been fixed by always closing the toilet. Fine. The reception staff is friendly and speak English well. Reception area is near bar and it's quite hard to stay there for long time as air is full of smoke. Overall stay was OK, acceptable for a few days.

Tricia (8/5): Great location, looks are deceiving - We stayed at the Maxima Panorama in July and were very happy with the hotel. It is is a great location, close to the Metro and the staff were unbelievably helpful. We would definately recommend this hotel and caution that you may be concerned by its location and lack of 'street frontage' but it really is a very good hotel.
