A gym that is fully stock with all types of equipment. The friendly staff keeps the gym clen and neat. The gym has large picture windows that looks onto the pool and the lush garden. The Cafe serves very good breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. The Sha Tin 18 Chinese restaurant serves the best dim sum and Peking duck in town. The Spa is a great place to get a refreshing treatment for the tired body. The cocktail offer life entertainment nightly. The rooms are spacious and kept it like brand new. The hotel is staff with cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. This is a perfect location to celebrate all occasions.

He brought our bags up to our room on first day, opened doors most days on us arriving and leaving hotel, and engaged in conversations with us. His English was very good and his helpfulness shined through often. Rianne at front desk was helpful with getting an additional key for our hostess to Hong Kong. Jacqueline in the Patisserie was delightful. Jelita who works in cleaning was such a joy. Cleaning but also engaged in conversation ensuring our every need was taken care of by asking thought-provoking questions like, did you enjoy your stay, was everything as clean as you would have liked, is there any areas that may need our attention....I was blown away by her curious nature to make sure we would be a returning guest if we are ever in the area. We also had a great experience at the Cafe as well as when we ate with friends at the Shatin 18. My only slight concern was that the price quoted online and the price we paid was quite a difference even with us doing the exchange of cost between HK dollars and US dollars. We were expected to pay $1146.00 with taxes, but when we checked in the pay was quite a bit more at $1800.00 US dollars. Overall, our experience was spectacular. We were treated with kindness and respect throughout our stay. Lin was the person who cleaned our room daily and she did an incredible job. Staff was always helpful and pleasant.

Though the location of the hotel is a bit remote, and nearby dining or shopping facilities are very limited. we were happy with their very friendly services and swimming pool facilities. The breakfast buffet at a discounted price for house guests is impressive with a lot of choices and tasty dishes. Will be back whenever we have a chance to visit the New Territories, Hong Kong again.
• Frenchapple2014 (2/5): Disappointing Decline in Service Standards - As a long-time supporter of Hong Kong, I truly hope to see the city regain its strong reputation and ranking in tourism following the challenges of COVID-19 and recent political turmoil. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Hyatt shatin suggests that parts of the service industry are still struggling to recover and adapt. While the room itself was clean, the overall standard of hotel service was disappointing. The courtesy and professionalism of the front desk staff, including the membership line, fell short of expectations. Similarly, the restaurant’s food quality and service attitude were underwhelming, and the booking process lacked professionalism. Overall, the hospitality experience has declined to a level that was quite upsetting, especially given Hyatt’s previously outstanding reputation.

• hubertsG9772AQ (10/5): Conveniently Located yet Peaceful retreat. - Had an extended stay with my Grandma whilst we had some renovations happening at home and the staff were incredibly courteous and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure there were some non-slip mats in the shower room and provided a shower stool too to assist with bathing. The house keeping staff were also incredibly polite and caring . The food at the lounge was excellent, and she enjoyed the congee and egg selection in the morning (which was made to order). Rooms were spotless and well maintained and it was very peaceful with minimal noise. There is a nice little podium garden connected to the pool next door for peaceful walks and the hotel is conveniently located next to the University Station MTR for access to the East Rail Line and there are plenty of taxi ranks, mini-bus stands and bus stops in the area in front of the hotel.

• Shcc69 (10/5): One of the hidden gems amongst the Hong Kong hotels - The hotel is located near the Chinese University in the New Territories. The locale has the feel of a university town in the United States. However it is very convenient and a 30 minute train ride would take one to the center of Hong Kong. The train runs very frequently, every 4-6 minutes which makes access to the center very easy. The hotel is well kept and well run and extremely good value.

• RossiSetchi (10/5): Great experience - Good location, near the Chinese University of HK and the underground station. I was surprised how fast it was to get to the hotel from the airport by car. The rooms are spacious. Very clean. Breakfast is fabulous. The seafood at the dinner buffet is exceptional.

• sant0224 (8/5): A globalist feeling underwhelmed - I returned to Hyatt Regency Shatin 13 years after I last stayed there. Staying there as a globalist, I have a few comments about the consistency of the privileges for a WOH member of this level to enjoy. I will try to be as objective as possible, taking into account what is and isn’t guaranteed, Check-in experience: on all three occasions, I checked in after 10 pm. While the wait was not long at the dedicated WOH counter, as it was the only counter open, it didn’t feel dedicated at all. Complimentary amenities: On two of the three occasions, there was no complimentary fruit platter or snack. I was therefore not sure if I was just lucky on the occasion I got a fruit platter. (In Hyatt Centric North Point, I get complimentary fruit or snacks waiting in the room 90% of the time). Room allocation: On the most recent stay, access to the lounge for breakfast would have been a lot more convenient if I was allocated a room above 16th floor. As the lifts are rather slow and could call at many levels, I opted to have room service breakfast to save time. Don’t get me wrong, I had a very comfortable stay on all three occasions and at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were all spacious and clean and the food was of superior quality. It’s just that my globalist status didn’t take me as far as I would expect.
• ZHIYU (10/5): - 房间非常大，窗外海景也非常美。由于2天时间需要在酒店内复习功课，宽敞的环境让人非常舒服。同时房间内设备设施也很新，没有遗憾的是没有机会去体验健身房以及泳游池。酒店位置离东铁线很近，徒步5分钟内。另外，如果喜欢郊游徒步的，这个酒店是个好的选择，可以方便达到西贡。
