Guest Reviews
- Anita (10/5): - Wonderful hotel, great location & staff.
- Jose (10/5): - Enjoyed three great days in Vienna while staying at the Imlauer hotel. Beds were very comfortable, excellent bathroom, spacious for European standards. Well located in safe area, not far away from downtown Vienna. Friendly staff, definitely recommended.
- ??????? (10/5): - The room was very spacious and staff very courteous. There are a couple of dinner places around the hotel. The area felt very safe. There are multiple metro stations nearby.
- Emmanuel (10/5): - Great location with friendly staff and very comfortable beds.
- James (10/5): - Only about a 15 minute walk to St. Stephen’s but in a very quiet location. There many good local options for dining.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Great location. Small markets close by. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
- Stephen Thomas (8/5): - Good location quiet area5 min walk to tram or metro.
- Tanya (10/5): - We had a fantastic time would recommend!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Human insensitivity - My mother passed away and of course we couldn't get to the hotel.
The hotel flatly refused to address the situation, refund our payment, or change the booking date
- Dan (10/5): - Quiet location but still near to any relevant point in Vienna
- Ricardo Arreola (10/5): - The location is perfect. The room has all you may need. It is comfortable and clean. I would be back for sure!
- Joshua (10/5): - Great hotel & short walk to public transport. Would definitely visit again.
- paras (10/5): -
- Bonnie (8/5): First visit to Vienna - Overall, it was a good experience. Room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable; however, the pillows were very flat and had no support.
- Robert (10/5): Overall a lovely hotel - Hotel was excellent. Great facilities, clean and nice rooms/bathroom. Good location. Would stay again.
- Xueling (10/5): A good stay for a city trip, will stay again - It’s great location, very clean room, staff are very helpful. Breakfast a bit expensive if book it on arrival but was nice with good selections.
- Theresa (10/5): - Nice hotel room. Location very good for transportation.
- ?????????????? (8/5): - The only complaint, it was too hot in the room and the thermostat did not work.
Also, TV not able to connect to any apps like Netflix. So if you do not speak German, you can only watch the news channel in English.
- Darcy (8/5): - Very pleasant staff - convenient location
- Tallulah (10/5): - Well priced hotel with everything you'd need for a short stay in Vienna. Only thing for me is it is about half an hour to the city centre, but it is well linked by transport
- Eric (10/5): Wonderful! - Fantastically well managed, clean, modern, great location. Absolutely best staff.
- Andrew (10/5): - Good experience. No issues.
- Usman (10/5): - Well maintained, quiet, and clean room, although some issue with water drainage in the washroom shower. Overall, excellent experience and be happy to stay here again.
- Dale (10/5): - I've stayed here before and I will be back again! The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood outside of the more touristy parts of Vienna and is within a short walk to two UBahn stations, multiple grocery stores and several good restaurants. The breakfast buffet, though a little pricey, provides a varied selection, and I believe it is worth it. My room, particularly the bathroom was roomy and very clean. Staff were extremely helpful.
- suzanne (10/5): - Excellent breakfast choices … staff friendly and helpful… very easy to walk to all the main tourists spots…. Would definitely stay again.
- Chana (10/5): - Excellent customer service
- Danyang (10/5): - We liked the hotel. Would recommend it to our friends.
- Tania (10/5): Good location - The check in was very professional and we felt welcome.
The room on the 6th floor was easily accessed by an elevator.
We had booked a junior suite which was meant to have a queen bed and a sofa bed. We were a little concerned when the website didn't show the sofa beds in their photos, but as the booking was for 4 adults we relied on the fact that they would be sufficient. Unfortunately they were not. The sofa beds were more small single narrow couches that folded out with a very uncomfortable top "mattress". For adults to sleep on, it was not suitable. Short and narrow so it was not possible to sleep comfortably and with very restricted movement. All website photos need to be updated to accurately show what the bedding situation actually is. Simply showing the 2 couches is very misleading.
The room itself was large, very clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the bottled water.
We did not use the mini bar, but it was well stocked.
The bathroom was clean and modern. The toilet needs some attention in that it would continue to flush and the cistern drip until you hd to tap it several times to stop. This was difficult when it was being used in the middle of the night.
The hotel is conveniently located, a short walk to the metro which was the same line straight to the heart of the city.
- Albert (6/5): NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE - The overall stay was ok.. We were coming from Salzburg where we stayed at the IMLauer.. Night ad day compared to the Vienna location.
Breakfast staff was not friendly at all. We have an 8 months old baby and when i asked the lady at the front if they had apple compote, she said NO. But when i went around to check, there it was.. I was not happy.
Breakfast was very basic, not great at all like the Salzburg location.
High chairs for babies were dirty.
My bathroom sink was not cleaned at all, you can see dirt all around as we stayed 4 nights.
Overall staff was not very friendly and welcoming. Just very cold!
- Shimmy (8/5): - Helpful staff. Clean and well kept facilities. Close to city center and transportation.
- Chinweike (10/5): - Such a beautiful hotel this is
- Loredana (10/5): - N/a
- Angel (4/5): - Pros: Property is convenient located with easy walking to restaurants and shops.
Property is well maintained.
Cons: the a/c in the room I got was not working properly. Outdoor temperature was around 90F (32C) and room temperature (at nights) was around 75-76 F (24-25C). Very uncomfortable to sleep. Bed mattresses are uncomfortable not providing good rest. Temperature in common areas of the hotel was warm and unpleasant.
I complained with front desk about the temperature but the problem was not addressed. The first night I asked to a man at front desk (day shift) if they can provide portable fans to mitigate the hot and he said they don’t have fans. Later around 2:00 am I came to front desk and ask again for a fan because we were sweating, and he provided me one fan. Very upset with the first employee.
Second day there were a lot ants in the floor and my daughter bed. We asked for cleaning. When we arrived that evening a lot of ants were still in the room. I went again to front desk and the employee did not took seriously our complain.
We spent 3 nights in this hotel and the experience was terrible.
- Marin (10/5): - Good location
- Nuri (10/5): Comfortable, clean stay central in Vienna - Comfortable, clean stay central in Vienna. The staff are very friendly. The facilities (sauna, bar area etc) are well looked after and pleasant. Note the parking garage is some distance from the hotel and does not have step free access. This hotel is a short walk to the sights of interest in the city.
- john (10/5): - .
- Victoria (10/5): - Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Very easy to walk into the main tourist area and good transport options nearby, including train to airport. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a birthday treat for a friend and she had a great time. Thank you to all.
- Emil (8/5): - bad internet wifi
- Carlo (10/5): - I always like to stay at this hotel whenever I am in Vienna.. it is in a quiet location within walking distance of the city centre. Nice modern spacious rooms.
- Timothy (8/5): A week in Vienna - We stayed for 4 nights in order to see something of Vienna. The hotel was well situated, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room quiet and well equipped. Free wifi was good.
- Janet (8/5): - The reception staff were professional, the breakfast and service was exceptional. Rooms are clean and modern. But the shower set up means the whole bathroom is soaked (curtain is too short and the shower set up is awkward!)
- Qing (10/5): - The breakfast was very good
- San (8/5): - Hotel was very conveniently located. Close to train stations and restaurants. Very friendly staff.
- Lisette (8/5): - Lovely staff, clean, convenient. Perhaps a social room would help for people to socialize
- Sarah (6/5): - The hotel was as expected and as pictured on Expedia.
However we found the hotel very hot, especially at night. We would open the window and cigarette smoke would blow in from the court yard.
We had to ask to get a fan, but it was still very warm. It did mean we didn’t sleep great.
- Suzanne (8/5): Nice modern hotel - Nice clean hotel not too far from the city centre and the metro. Reasonably quiet area
- Robert (10/5): - The hotel and staff was superb, friendly efficient and very accommodating. Communication before our stay was good albeit the taxi pickup was problematic, the driver being hard to find. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast food and service excellent. Highly recommend the Imlauer.
- Ali (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Elevators need an upgrade. No iron in room.
- Gordon (10/5): - Great location, excellent service. Highly recommend.
- Sherrie (10/5): Two night stay - Lovely. Staff friendly and professional
If you are tired and just want a bite to eat and a drink at the end of the day the gentleman running to little cafe was wonderful
The suite has an extra bath and priced fair
- Brandon (10/5): - Amazing all round, they were able to check us in early and we were blown away with the room. We would highly recommend staying here
- Iren (8/5): Excellent value for the money - Very nice hotel , close to downtown , easy accès to public transport . Clean and confortable.
- Vivek (6/5): Decent stay but pathetic air conditioning - It was a good stay but air conditioning was weak. I don’t understand why the air conditioning is so bad that it doesn’t cool the room to the desired temperature. I see this as a problem with lot of hotels in Europe where they say “ open the windows etc”. This hotel needs to look at their air conditioning. Otherwise the hotel stay was ok, decent location etc. But the air conditioning is a major let down.
- Rado (8/5): - Great location and cozy hotel. Room could have been cleaned better.
- TAE HEE (10/5): - I enjoyed 7 nights staying last week in April, 2023. Very clean and recently renovated hotel. A little bit small room for me and my daughter, but we did not stay much in the hotel. It also has many classic features in the hotel (like unique terrace) with very good breakfast buffet option. Very convenient place for both dining and a city tour, as well as from the airport (S7). Very friendly staffs too.
- David (10/5): - Th
- howard (10/5): good value - good location. good service. clean. all good
- Jacob (10/5): - This is a very nice property, top rating for cleanliness, absolutely a great stay. Thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): Money Stolen - The overall stay was fine. We did have $200 euros stolen that was in an envelope, placed under a bag. It was our fault for leaving the envelope out but you couldn't see the money unless you opened the envelope. Just a word of caution.
- Jose (10/5): Nice, confortable and werll located hotel - Nice and confortable hotel, well located and very good breakfast.
- Miriam (10/5): - overall great, most of the the staff were super friendly & helpful.
they are also very accommodating for religious purposes.
- Jeff (10/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): - Very clean. Basic hotel - 10 minute walk to the city center
- Matteo (6/5): - All good, BUT there was no parking available despite two distinct mails received by the hotel stating that there would have been parking on site available
- Dale (10/5): - Good location, decent sized room and bathroom. Professional and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
- Aryeh (10/5): As recommended as ever - My 3rd stay. Lovely as ever, wonderful staff, super clean, very comfy, altogether it is my favorite place for that area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient location close to the Prater and river. Clean and confortable rooms. We decided to skip hotel breakfast because of the content and price. Breakfast restaurants are near by offering great selection of food. I suggest to use public transportation which is extremely good in Vienna.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Unfortunately due to our citizenship and the Covid 19 pandemic it was not possible to make our trip. We couldn't find the option to postpone our reservation and have all of us help each other. Santiago Minotta
- Daniel (8/5): - This hotel, situated a few metro stops from the centre of Vienna, has all the modern conveniences and comfort one expects from
a city hot. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very enjoyable, with lots of choices. Overall, we had a great stay.
The only negative things we can really say are that 1. the pillows provided were extremely flat and didn’t offer much support, and 2. it was impossible to keep water from the shower from spilling onto the floor and completely soaking the floor towel.
Other than that, we were satisfied by Hotel Imlauer Vienna!
- Jason (10/5): - Fantastic hotel just a short walk from Vienna city centre, clean, modern, quiet, friendly staff and great value for money, was very happy with our stay and would stay again. Well done Hotel Imlauer and Thank you :-)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely room thanks for your service. Stayed here many times
- MJM (10/5): - We arrived a bit early, but they had a room available. When we saw it was not a courtyard view room, we asked whether a courtyard room was available, and they immediately made the change for us. All the staff were very pleasant, and the hotel is beautiful, our room had a lovely new bathroom, comfortable bed and was all very clean.
- Fiona (8/5): - Great staff, location is great with only a short walk to the city center.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was in a great location. It's a quiet area, while still being close to the central areas and many restaurants. Our room was recently renovated and beautiful and the staff were all super friendly. The hotel has a system for each day you don't have your room cleaned, you get 5 euros towards the hotel restaurant/bar. At the end of our trip my partner and I had enough for a couple drinks and a dessert!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel is just perfect! Very polite and nice people at reception, amazing ambience and at perfect location. You also have parkings for your cars across the street for 24euros/per day!
- Christopher (10/5): - Hotel was excellent & the staff amazing. Nothing too much trouble. Room was very good overlooking the inner courtyard & with seating area. It was to the rear of the building & away from any road noise. Bathroom large & modern. Breakfast had a wide choice & included hot food. We also ate in the Bar a couple of evenings where the service was outstanding.
The only change I would have made for a future visit is to have been a little closer to the old city area,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We liked the location as it was quiet and easy access to public transport and local amenities.
We feel that the room was small for four adults.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very Central
Clean and the beds are lovely and so comfortable
- Frances (4/5): Horrible attitude.Tiny rooms.bad food - Not so good reception staff . Horrible attitude & behaviour. Rooms are tiny and temprature control doesnt function.
Breakfast is mediocre and most items are cheap qualify.
Its a 2 star not a 4 star
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel and staff lived up to expectations, rooms were spotless and comfortable. All staff were helpful and courteous, would recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely comfortable hotel. Walking distance to city Centre and Christmas markets. Did not have breakfast but had snack in bar and it was very good. Room spacious. Had coffee machine but with one of us a serious tea drinker cups were too small so bigger mugs and kettle needed as well but we still managed so only small point. The only problem we had was we had booked two activities before we arrived and when reception staff realized this as they were promoting other company activities they were not very helpful or knowledgeable to show us where to go but good old mr google helped us out ourselves. Would still recommend it though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff at this hotel we all so friendly and really helpful.
The downside was that I didn’t get one good nights sleep! The first two nights were spent in a room on the same side as the hotel entrance. The road outside was very noisy and quite busy, and before 7am on the first two days, we were woken up to workmen drilling and digging up the road. We could hear the noise even with the window shut although we would’ve liked to have kept the window open as the room was so hot!
We were moved, with no hesitation from the staff, to a quieter room. The outside noise was much better but another issue in both rooms was the pillows. They were the softest flattest most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on.
So on my holiday, I didn’t have one good nights sleep.
The showers were good though and the rooms were a nice size.
- Monica (10/5): Highly recommend to other travelers - Great location, easy check-in, nice staff. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room was basic but roomy and comfortable . The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and with a shirt walk to the underground,it was perfect for sightseeing .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and very close to the city centre also close to public transport.
- Bethany Rose (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The hotel was in a good location for a city break. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
- Dale (10/5): - The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and roomy. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price of my room, was more than adequate. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The location was very good. Although not in the central part of Vienna, it was a short walk to the Ubahn at Taborstrasse from which one can go anywhere. There was also a street car stop nearby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location: walking distance
Rooms are spacious ans clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super suite room. Location was an easy walk to the city centre. Well located for public transport routes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property had really good, clean rooms. However, when I arrived I expected to receive what I saw on the Expedia images for my hotel. I was supposed to have a view of the courtyard and a cute balcony but this was not the case. The hotel also had multiple different steps to get to the room which was a bit inconvenient when you have a large suitcase and need to carry it up stairs even after coming up the elevator.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice clean room with balcony, good walking location, close to Danube
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I always stay in this hotel whenever I pass through Vienna and will continue to do so.
I really like this hotel a lot.. This time I was given a top floor suite with rooftop terrace.. what a fantastic Room.. I like the quiet location of the hotel.. only 10 minutes walk to city centre.
- James (10/5): - Friendly staff
Lovely room and bathroom
Great location
Highly recommended and good value
Bar was great esp cocktail happy hour
- David (10/5): City break - Excellent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very neat and clean and the workers were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again. We purchased Vienna City pass and the hop on hop off bus (blue line) was only 1 block away. Perfect for my family
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, not in the main centre but near enough that you can walk into it easily.
It was great that it was walking distance to Prater ammusment park too.
Very friendly & helpful guy working on reception (sorry i forgot to get a name!)
Clean and spacious room with a bath & shower & also a mini bar.
- Kasey (10/5): - This was a good location. A short walk across the river to the hop-on, hop-off bus stops. Several coffee shops near for breakfast, too. The staff was excellent! Michael at the front desk suggested we rent a car to go to Salzburg, instead of taking the train. THAT was the best thing we did - we were able to go see 2 mountain towns that he also suggested (Melk and Hallstatt). They were beautiful towns and we saw a bit of Austria that we never would have if we had taken the train.
- Winnie (6/5): - Hotel was ok. Location quite central. However there was nothing special about a deluxe room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, clean rooms, easy access to the centre of Vienna
- Ariel (10/5): - The hotel was very good.
Good location and very kind staff.
Will come again!
