• Winsomedoctor (8/5): Great Stay with Comfortable Rooms, but Expensive Late Checkout - We had a pleasant stay at La Reserva Virgin Lodge. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with a nice variety. Overall, it felt like a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The only downside was the late checkout policy. When I requested just a one-hour late checkout, I was charged $100, which felt excessive and a bit disappointing.
• Safari740624 (4/5): Not worth the price - I can't recommend this hotel. Rooms are adequate but restaurant and bar service was the worst I have experienced travelling for 1 months and 4 countries in South America. The bar served gin but had no tonic. No bar snacks by the pool that had families swimming between 6 and 7. Rude staff. There is a lot of options so I advise looking elsewhere.
• alistairb1954 (4/5): Stay somewhere else - This is a strange hotel .it has very nice rooms set in a rainforest setting .They are clean although starting to get a little tired .but overall very comfortable. But the restaurant and pool areas are very tired and in need of substantial refurbishment. Worst of all though is the catering .Breakfast is a miserable affair as is dinner .I cannot imagine the level of incompetence that has led to this situation. The staff are miserable, unhelpful and appear to lack any motivation . Luckily a short taxi ride into town will deliver great restaurants ,people and service. Why bother ,stay somewhere else
• jimsA5043YQ (6/5): Iguana Falls - Very nice however much more rustic than the pictures show. A few bugs noticed in the bathroom and bedroom, one crawling on my pillow in the middle of the night. Pool only open to 8PM which was disappointing.
• louisac79 (10/5): A little bit of Heaven - Beautiful little lodge hotel set in the middle of the rainforest in Iguazu. We only had 2 nights here as part of an organised tour but it was a little slice of paradise. We had a beautiful room in an eco pod with a covered terrace with table, chairs and hammock. It was so peaceful and relaxing just listening to the birds. The hotel has very helpful staff and a lovely pool with pool bar and restaurant serving food and drinks all day. The food quality was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is located close to the entrance to the national park where you can explore the falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides.

Great gateway to visit the falls and relax in the afternoon with the kids and other families at the pool. Food was good in the evening but breakfast even though it is a buffet 80% is full of sugar with unhealthy sweet things.
• Luv2TravelFarNWide (6/5): A long way from town - Decent place to stay, but rooms are strung out a long way from reception. Since it rains often, you'd expect the walkways to be covered, but they weren't. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast waitstaff almost non-existent. Rooms decent, but bathroom poorly designed so anyone using the sink blocked the door shut. Minimal toiletries; yucky shampoo and conditioner. Safe worked, but sliding doors on the closet/shelves didn't. A/C blew right on the bed, making it very uncomfortable. Breakfast buffet was limited but ok. Biggest problem was this hotel was a $10+ taxi/uber from town where the decent restaurants were located. So, dinner each night was a bigger hassle than we had hoped. Overall, decent place, but the claim of "rain forest" location didn't provide any critters, just distance from the town. Next time we'd pick a place in town, or within walking distance.

Please don’t believe there photos stay elsewhere Grubby and definitely showing it’s age, the bathroom I would say is overdue a refurbish there is mould along various edges Dirty curtains and bed mattresses Unfriendly unwelcoming staff Set of strange house rules making it even more unwelcoming Restaurant food extremely average Pool could have benefited from a daily clean Pool seems to be used by locals or staff’s children late afternoon ( definitely not guests as never appeared at breakfast or dinner times) so very noisy Obviously don’t rely on return customers hence the lack of effort from staff and the blind eye to a update refurbish of rooms
• 139anned (10/5): A peaceful retreat near the Iguazú Falls - We stayed here for a trip to see the Falls and found the hotel to be a peaceful retreat in the rainforest setting. Our room was spacious and set a few minutes walk away up a flight of stairs (no lift) away from the central area of pool/bar/restaurant. The pool area was lovely and the bar good for a beer or cocktail; the restaurant is large, family-friendly and served good food. We didn’t find it unduly expensive, but we’re used to London prices! Drinking water dispenser in reception a good touch. Be aware you aren’t allowed to bring in your own food and drink here, unlike most Argentinian hotels.
• CJ-Omaha (8/5): Location was great! - Great location for visiting the Falls. The room was comfortable - temperature was good, it was clean and had what we needed. My biggest complaint was the door. The electronic card reader was difficult to use, took several attempts to get into the room you had to make sure the lock was engaged properly for it to unlock. Extemely frustrating. Our stay included breakfast. It was good enough. Lunch & dinner were okay, menu seems a little limited and would tire of it quickly if we had stayed longer than 2 nights. The Lodge grounds were well kept and perfect for privacy. Great view of the jungle from the rooms.
• antony_h_spencer (4/5): Looks Can Be Deceptive - Website is very attractive but the reality is little more than a backpackers hostel, Bedrooms (think Travelodge) have little sound insulation so able to hear from all neighbours. Pool and bar areas shabby to say the least. Staff, however, are friendly and helpful and food in the restaurant was better than expected.
• 693StephenO (10/5): A great base to explore the falls - We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. All the rooms are surround by lush greenery which is beautiful, the rooms are clean and ours was spacious with a lovely terrace looking out to the forest. The pool area is lovely, a great place to relax, again surrounded by greenery. The restaurant was very good with a good selection and not that expensive as some reviews have said. All the staff were very helpful and eager to please. All in all a great place to stay

Stayed at the Ava room and each unit was private and very spacious, especially the bathroom. The breakfast options were pretty good. The diners were very good and well priced. We had cocktails and fries one of the days and we enjoyed both. We would definitely stay here again! Waking up to birds singing in the morning was enjoyable.

On the whole: I would not recommend the resort. It could be a paradise but it needs to be renovated and is a bit scruffy.

• Hogan30 (8/5): Comfortable and convenient - Very happy with the stay. Having read other reviews before coming I’d agree with most of them. The rooms are comfortable, quite basic but everything there that’s needed - clean and comfortable. The lodges are arranged in the reserve with a nice walkway around the reserve. The bar area is nice enough and the resturant food was nice when we eat there on the first evening after arriving too late to go into Iguazu. Taxi into Puerto Iguazu easy to arrange - 10,000 pesos by Uber. puerto Iguazu is a very lively town with plenty of bars and resturants. We used the taxi supplier advertised by the hotel - Tierra Nativa - I reccommend them highly for your transfers to the falls - both on the Argentinian and Brazilian side. Our driver for the Brazilian side made passport control very easy. The hotel made our late flight out of Puerto Iguazu very easy, we kept our luggage there during the day and were able to use the facilities by the pool to prepare for the flight and wait for the transfer. Muchas gracias.

• SteveP1874 (8/5): Very pleasant - It’s pleasant and comfortable, a good base to explore Iguazú noting it’s a short taxi ride into town. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel as we were too busy exploring. Breakfast was good, evening meals okay. The pool area is nice but I didn’t like the bar much as it wasn’t tidy. Room was good. A good value option for exploring the area!

• Genc (6/5): - Pictures on the Expedia site are of a newer building they have built on the property. We were put in cabins out back that needed renovation. Dinning hall was new and renovated Ms breakfast options were descent. Staff was helpful with our bags however the early check in was not available on any of our 3 rooms that we had booked. Didn’t get the Expedia VIP beverages or early/late checkins for members. Staff was friendly
• Nelly (6/5): - Room smell terrible. Front desk did not allow us to stay 15 extra minutes. Breakfast very basic. Since it is a lodge, it should has coffee maker. A lot of mosquitos and insects on the bed. Very expensive for drink and dine.

Next day no towels at 4 pm. Breakfast opened at 7am. Very old coffee in the lobby. Location was nice. We could not stay past 10 am.

Hotel Photos from internet don’t match reality It was a case when we booked cozy hotel in jungle and receive something really strange. We paid more then $300 for 2 nights Firstly is the hotel reception. Ugly . Old, and looks like 1 star hotel. Stuff is not so friendly. Agree with a lot of reviews: Room is old. Particularly bathroom, toilet with cracks , the door with holes. Very old furniture , nothing similar from hotel photo in internet. Stuff is unfriendly, only one guy was polite. Personal try to earn money for every case. Only hotel taxi, but price is expensive. Dollar and euro same amount, If you pay card you will pay more. Meanwhile stuff cannot exchange money. No complementary water in the room, price for 1 bottle on minibar $3.5, 1 Americano in a restaurant during the breakfast $4.5 Breakfast is poor, if you would to order some fried eggs oe omelette you need to extra pay again And again stuff don’t want to help you. View to jungles is awesome. However it’s better to stay in other hotel with same option.

The rooms are amazing, with balconies to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. King-size bed, so comfy. The bathroom and the shower are an extra room with plenty of space. • Rees98 (8/5): Peaceful Hotel to recharge and relax - Really amazing hotel, the jungle is so green and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of cities. It’s a perfect hotel to just disconnect and relax! Perfect location for the waterfalls and the town of Iguazu is only a short distance away. You would need to either hire a car or a taxi to get to places (we chose to hire car for more freedom) but it was a pleasant stay and the pool is really perfect! The prices for the food on the menu of day need to be adjusted, but the breakfast that was included was always amazing! Some staff were friendly, and those that weren’t perhaps they were having a bad day, but it was still a really pleasant stay. One flight recommendation is to have a water refill station near rooms away from reception, but that’s just me being lazy! Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area!

• H5646URdees (10/5): Friendly, comfortable, and great lication - The Reserva was a perfect place to stay while visiting Iguazu falls. The front desk accommodated all of our needs and were extremely helpful. The location was great and the pool area and dining area were perfect for hanging out and relaxing.
• nxca (8/5): Great location - Great location in rain forest and near to Iguazu Falls. Bit of a distance to the main town. Accommodation was great although I would have liked a kettle in the room. Bed comfy, lovely enclosed balcony. Bar was good and I thought restaurant had some good options, although not cheap. Breakfast was a bit limited but fine. Staff very helpful and room was well cleaned and free of wild life!
• Q4174DFheatherj (4/5): Disappointing experience. - The rooms were cool , clean and well stocked with toiletries etc. Comfortable bed and large room. Set in lovely grounds. So why 2 star rating? Lovely pool but seemed unclean and was very crowded with young children. Average self service breakfast. Help yourself to cutlery plates etc. No personal service or attentive, friendly staff. Limited drinks at pool which extended to restaurant. No tonic water and no white wine unless you want a bottle. No draught beer. Inattentive - rely on WhatsApp for food and drink orders and general communication. Poor service - received wrong bill from restaurant. Was charged inaccurately for consuming all beverages and drinks from room fridge when we hadn’t. Received a WhatsApp to say card had been charged for all goods later in the day after checkout. Even though we received an apology no explanation was given. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere so expect a taxi ride if you wish to eat elsewhere. Booked through trailfinders and don’t think it deserves inclusion in their holiday packages. Other guests on our trip felt the same. Attention to service, food and beverages could have made a difference.
• theodoreh524 (8/5): Very nice jungle hotel - Very nice jungle location. Rooms are nice and air-conditioned, but no hot water - tepid at best. The restaurant is quite good, but expensive. Conveniently located between the town and the Falls. Other than the hot water our only complaint was that we had a critical maintenance issue and it took them an hour to get someone there to fix it.
• charleenv2025 (2/5): Disappointed stay in the Reserva Virgin Lodge - Although the hotel is clean and has beautiful walkways between the rooms with a nice location in the rainforest, our stay at this hotel was a huge letdown. The photos on the website bear no resemblance to the reality – what was promised is far from what you actually get (very old furniture, old bathroom, etc). The food was terrible – inedible from start to finish, and the menu itself was also flawed. To top it all off, the pool area was what seemed like the largest wasp cemetery imaginable. All in all, a complete disappointment that I would not recommend to anyone as it's definitely not worth the price!

• Verified traveler (8/5): So So Stay in the Jungle - We recently spent 2 nights at La Reserva Virgin Lodge and there were some good things and not so great things about the lodge. Pros - Great staff; helpful and friendly - Decent food in the restaurant and priced reasonably given this was a 'resort' - Lovely jungle location - Spacious room Cons - I know this is the jungle and a tropical rainforest, but still our room smelled full of mildew and damp. It wasn't a particularly pleasant place to hang out after a day of exploring the falls. (it was clean, but needed better air circulation or something along those lines) -
• Afick (10/5): - We stayed one night at the Reserve Virgin Lodge as part of our trip to Iguazú Falls. We loved the on theme jungle lodgings and quiet luxury of the rooms. The accommodation was very spacious, including the rain shower and bathroom. We enjoyed the bar and pool area as well as the restaurant and think this is a great hotel to make a visit to Iguazu top notch.
• Arelys (8/5): Good experience - The staff were responsive, attentive and kind. Communication was through whatsapp and it was very efficient. You feel immerse in nature. At this moment there is construction going on and it may disrupt a bit the serene atmosphere. The restaurant for dinner is good. For breakfast and lunch the restaurant its ok, restaurant service ok. The shower needs some stand or something to place the hygiene products somewhere other than the floor or the table outside of the shower. Hotel is clean. The staff does help you coordinating transportation anywhere, outside and in property activities as well. Check out it’s a bit early 10am. Overall good experience.

The only issue we had was the door to enter the room and the sliding door to our balcony had gaps so it allowed for bugs and water to enter when it rained. We definitely got the full jungle experience! The staff was great!
• Rebecca (6/5): - The good: spending time in the forest whilst visiting Iguazu is a truly special experience and this hotel has elements that could make it a great hotel. Some of the staff in the restaurant and reception are friendly and attentive. Some are at the beginning of that learning curve. When something broke in our room the team were very prompt to fix it The bad: the room was so humid it made our clean clothes damp - outside was in fact less humid. The bathroom was tired with dirty grout, broken shower screen and in need of a refurbishment. The pictures screwed into the walls in all corners were unattractive, the stained furniture and the broken lampshades added to the motel vibe. The ugly: the broken flooring in the pool is dangerous and the ongoing construction work should be highlighted to guests at the booking stage which is what other good establishments do

• Rose-Lynne (4/5): - Surprised when our car stopped at the reception room, this nothing like the photos online. This hotel was not what I expected after viewing the photos, very disappointed. There is a "lobby" in a room next to door to wait for tour pickup, just chairs and a/c, they really need to have a restroom otherwise you have to go all the way back to your room or to the restaurant, which is not close at all. There was a huge spider in my pillow and an ant nest on the ceiling, something at night would leave poo droppings on the nightstands. Room service is only available to order at 7pm and the shortest wait time was 45 minutes. The plus to staying here was the food was so delicious. The only way to contact the reception desk is through the whatsapp app. Twice not all of our room service was brought to our room and when I used the app to let them know, it was ignored; they never answered after many messages to them and we did not get our missing food items.

• Peter (8/5): - We loved that the hotel was built into a jungle like area with low catwalks to get to the rooms. The vegetation was lush. The pool, the bar and the restaurant were the center of the property. They have a regular pool and a cold pool- which was welcome in 90 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. There were probably not enough chaise lounges in the shade. There were nice bar stools overlooking the pool for a drink and for lunch. We ate New Year’s Eve dinner and two lunches at the restaurant. The lunches were excellent and the food was good. At dinner , service was quite slow. The lobby for check in is quite small and the process takes some time but the hotel is very nice. There are no telephones in the rooms so you must rely on WhatsApp. The WiFi was good . You sign on in the lobby with a QR code. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the Falls. The hotel is well known so there is no problem in scheduling tours or transfers to and from the airport. I highly recommend seeing Iguazú Falls. All in all this hotel was a good choice for us.
• CARLOS (6/5): - The hotel is located inside a jungle reserve, so better rent a car or have lots of cash for taxis. WiFi did not work most of the time. Be prepared to see bugs, spiders, or small centipedes inside your room, they’re mostly harmless. This place is surrounded by nature, so if you do not enjoy this, I suggest looking for alternatives. Limited options for dining and having food, and it’s far from the main town.
• Raisa (8/5): - It is a very nice place ,but our room has a smell like wet odor, we did not change it because our stay was just 1 night. The restaurant was very good , nice pool, staff very professional.
• stephannie (6/5): - We arrived at 2:51 and would not let us check in until 3:00pm. 9 minutes early., so you are forced to wait outside with no AC or inside the tiny reception area that is no more than 150 square feet , The rooms are very nice if you book a mini suite other ways the standard rooms are very very small., there is only one restaurant in the property and a small pool area., it was a shock to arrive to the middle of nowhere ., there are not many amenities in the hotel., the staff are pleasant., but we would not return., rather stay on a more traditional hotel stay with AC recreation areas
• William (4/5): - This is definitely more of a lodge than a resort. It is in a remote area (not unexpected) and the rooms are small cabins. The lock to the sliding door did not lock - which was a bit disconcerting. Our room was not ready upon arrival (also not too concerning because we arrived at 12:00 and check-in was not until 3:00). They showed us to the dining area and said they would let us know when the rooms were ready. At 3:00 we finally went back to check only to discover that our rooms were ready but because we were not using WhatsApp they gave up on contacting us rather than walking to the dining room and letting us know. Overall it was an average facility in a lovely remote area with service that was not horrible but was definitely a little disappointing. On a potentially positive note, I will say that if you have young kids, it is definitely “kid friendly” - we did not have kids! The most enjoyable person on the staff was a Guarani young man who worked at the hotel and gave us a very nice and informative tour of the local community. He was wonderful.
• Omar Ernesto (10/5): Highly recommended logde in Puerto Iguazu - Great place to stay in Puerto Iguazu, strategically located to visit the falls. You will need a car though... Excellent breakfast. We found going out disappointing to eat dinner, but the hotel has a good restaurant with reasonable prices. We loved the way they cooked our "pacu" river fish.

• Ankit (10/5): - It was overall a great stay at Virgin Lodge except for the experience we had with the massage. The lady who came for massage did a horrible job. We have never had such a bad massage experience before. Though this person is not an employee for the hotel, they should contract a better masseuse. Part from this, we had a great experience staying at the hotel with great service and very courteous staff.

The room was nice and clean but some of the facilities in the room was old, example the toilet flush button was about to spoilt and the balcony door was hard to push open as it seems to not been oiled or lubricant enough.

• Verified traveler (2/5): This hotel is rundown - Don't let the pictures fool you - this hotel is rundown and in need of some serious repairs. Our room could have used a good scrub (brown bathtub) and it smelled like they pumped a sweet mango scent into the rooms all day long. The pool tiles are half off, the pool chairs have exposed rusty bits on them - and the restaurant has a strange and unusual smell so we chose to go out to eat. We planned to stay two nights and *paid extra* to move hotels the second night.

Loved the front desk staff, very friendly and helpful with suggestions of the places to eat and things to do (and they all spoke English which was helpful too). The offerings of bike tours and nature hikes was a nice addition to your stay as well. The hotel uses the what’s app to communicate with any question you have or reservation you need and that was amazing to have access to the hotel staff 24/7. Will definitely be back!

The common areas and pools are incredibly in need to maintenance. This company is building a new hotel nearby and are obviously deferring any care to this property. Could be really nice stay, but it has gotten so bad we expected so much from photos, in person it doesn't match at all. They should update their descriptions and photos to reflect what is actually available at property. Over promise, under deliver :(

• Anthony (8/5): Good hotel, great staff, BAD restaurant for dinner - The hotel is showing some age, but it is a great environment. The staff were exceptional, efficient and very friendly. The restaurant was a serious fail. We ate there the first night, I had a steak and asked for it medium rare and it came well done, meat in Argentina is usually respected. My wife had a vegetable dish, it was basically rice, some of which was cold, with some shredded carrots and lots of oyster sauce, almost inedible. The next night we went early enough to have the snack menu. My burger was great and my wife’s chicken salad was good. They can do food just not fine dining. It was the only letdown of our stay. So we suggest you eat early.

We only stayed for one night but I wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful tropical grounds! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Really need to change up the selections... Room had a tin roof and whether rain or strange things dropping on the roof through the night, was a little much. Bathroom ceiling had mildewed ceilinging... The staff made the difference for us. Would not recommend base on the location or hotel conditions. A little misleading base in the ratings when booked
• Yanina Szenkman (6/5): def been to better - the hotel was nice and clean and comfy. the staff didnt really do much for helping us. and the restaurant was disgusting. not only did it take 2 hours to get our food - it was all wrong and was THE worst tasting meal ive ever had at a hotel. skip the food and just stay the night. the lighting was also pretty bad. just stay for the bed... the place is WAY overpriced for what it is.

On top of that, the jaccuzzi was out on a mesh covered patio to keep the mosquito out so it's really romantic and relaxing. The bungalow was quite spacious and tastefully decorated. Staffs were very helpful and nice. Good breakfast with good cheese and fruits.
