• Explore51770551044 (2/5): Terrible Experience – Never Again - I am not happy with my recent stay at this hotel. I have stayed here many times whenever I am visiting Bangkok, and my family the same. But after this trip I will never return. From 3rd to 8th November, I stayed alone on the 10th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and worth the £30 per night – no complaints at all. However, for my booking from 11th to 15th November, things went downhill. I booked a triple room, but instead of a proper setup, they simply shoved a horrible single bed next to the main bed. The room was on the 5th floor, which is in much worse condition compared to the 10th floor, and they charged me c£50 per night for this downgrade. When I raised the issue, the customer service staff told me there were no other rooms available. Yet, when I checked online, I could see rooms still listed for booking. This means the staff were not only rude but also dishonest. The bed itself was awful – hard, with springs poking through, making it impossible to sleep. I even offered to pay the difference to switch to two separate rooms instead of the triple, but the staff rudely refused, saying they could not cancel the current booking. Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve had at this hotel. Poor customer service, uncomfortable rooms, and misleading practices. I will never stay here again.

• _ebkough (6/5): What a pity they let the place become run down. - The location is excellent and the Karen staff are friendly and accommodating. The decor was traditional and it had all the amenities of a four star hotel like pool, gym and sauna. However that is the good side. The hotel was quite run down, the sheets not changed (I saw the same spot I soiled on it.) the plumbing was - crumbling. The electronic locks didn’t work every time on one trip (I stayed several times) that in the end I had to change rooms. The beds gave me a backache every time. In fact in two of the stays I had to change rooms. But worst of all, the breakfast was most unappetizing. If it weren’t for the excellent location and friendly staff, I would stay away.
• Orapin (4/5): - The hotel is clean, no carpet which I like, can walk to the BTS Train on both sides, near shopping and restaurants. The hotel is quite old, the bed moves when you sit down or move, the shower room only has hot and cold water, you can't adjust it to warm, the bathroom has only a sink, no counter to put things, only one towel for each person, no face or hand towel, only one pillow for each person and the pillow is very soft, but we asked for more pillows and they gave it to us and no microwave.
• Michael (8/5): - I have stayed at this property multiple times. It is a good value. While it might be time for a little refresh on the furnishings, the staff is always there and ready to help. It is so close to the BTS station and there are many options for food within a 2 minutes walk.

• Krubee (8/5): Victory Residences, truly authentic real Thai experience!!! - We were looking for a hotel in Bangkok that could offer a room for families or group of friends together in 1 room. There were not a lot of choices but there was one hotel that fits the bill both offering rooms up to 6 persons, near the BTS station, have breakfast but most of all very affordable and that is Victory Residences!!! With its eye catching Pastel Yellow facade it sets the tone for a authentic real Thai style stay at this hotel. We booked a 6 person Comfort family room with breakfast via Agoda at around 600 SGD++ only for 4 nights, which is a very great deal since not all day we would stay at this hotel. The room is one of the most spacious I’ve been at 64 sqm with 5 single beds, a Queen bed, toilet with tub, a kitchenette and a Balcony so we a great deal it was!!! During our first night, we were given a room for 5 person room with only 3 single beds which we didn’t book but the hotel immediately upgraded us the next day where we moved to the actual 6 person comfort family room with tub and 4 single beds. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful all throughout our stay and they even helped us carry our bags into our rooms and from/to our private hire shuttle van. The hotel was located near Victory Monument BTS station and has a nearby Victory mall in Ratchawithi road just across the hotel from Phaya Thai road. To access the lobby you need to take up the stairs similar to traditional Colonial style driveways. Upon entering the Grand Lobby, we were transported in time during the mid-19th century where the intricate decors and wooden layout. The walls and ceilings are finished off with polished Golden Brown Wood, there is a huge chandelier made of small candle lights, warm toned lamps on the wall all over the lobby and a Grey cushioned lounge chairs at the center. The dining area is at the right side of the lobby where breakfast is also served. The lifts are on the left. Check-in counter is at the center and there is a safety deposit of 500 baht upon check-in. It was smooth and easy until we were given a different room from what we booked but nevertheless they changed it the next day. I will review the 6 person Comfort family room we booked via Agoda and we were good with it - space is no. 1 and it was actually very clean. Only thing I didn’t realize when booking is that it only has 1 toilet to share with 7 people including a kid and only 1 TV located on the living area where the single beds are also located. The master bed has too much space and wardrobe and we didn’t even use the wardrobe that much maybe they could add a small toilet here. The rooms were a bit old but still retained the nostalgic and classic feeling of the early 19th century design and architecture with a touch of modernity - especially the toilet which I am quite impressed. WIFI is quite fast, they only have local channels in the 6 person room but the other 5 room has a cable channel working. Airconditioning is cold and easy to use and has 2 one in the living and another in master bed. Floor is made of wood so you got a cozy, warm, comfy feeling walking barefoot which is not found even on newly built 5 star hotels right now. Wall is simple white which compliments the polished Brown wooden flooring. The single beds were soft, clean and comfy but the Queen bed is a bit on the hard side but still clean and comfortable. Pillows are just the perfect firmness and clean/comfy as well. The mini-kitchenette is the one part of the room that could be converted to a second toilet because there are so much space to put the fridge or amenities other than this area. The refrigerator is big and has freezer but a bit old now. They provide complimentary cups/kettle/coffee/tea and bottled water daily and do daily housekeeping. They have 2 balconies one from the living and another from master when you could hang your wet clothes. Dining table is also provided on the living area and a couple of side tables beside each bed. What I loved about this room are the many power outlets provided where you could charge your electronics despite 7 of us here we have our own outlets to charge with. The TV compartment/wardrobe in the living room is also one of a kind which you could not find in modern rooms today even for customised ones. Made of Brown wood it has a wide TV compartment at the center and two wardrobes on each side and another set of spacious compartments on top and at the bottom - what a creative idea it is. It compliments and give a visual to the very spacious room already. Another thing we loved is the toilet/tub - quite modern, clean and spacious complimenting and adding touch to the classic vibes of the whole room. The water heating/pressure is easy to use and manage. Toilet has bidet which is a plus and they give complimentary toiletries except toothbrush. Towels are also clean, thick and soft. We booked our room with daily breakfast and it was served at their dining area which resembles the vintage style of the hotel - Brown & Cream cushioned chairs, Brown Wooden round and square tables finished with Black Glass surface. They offer a modest yet delicious selections of Drinks, Toast, Thai food (Rice/Noodles/Soup), Western (Eggs/Sausage/Ham/Bacon), Fruits, Salad and Cereals. I loved each and every of it especially the Thai selections - Tom Yum, Curry, and Fried noodles are the best and most delish I’ve tried!!! We didn’t get the chance to try the pool and gym but we visited the pool and it was a bit old and deep for my nephew to swim so we skipped it. Victory Residences is the best and most affordable place to be and conveniently located near Victory Monument BTS if you have a big family up to 6 people and would like to stay in 1 room because not all hotels have this type. Other than near the BTS, there are lots of 7 eleven, eateries, massage spa, bars, cafe located around the hotel which is also a big plus. We even tried the Tuk Tuk which is just parked across Victory Mall and they offer a good price if you wanna experience this thrilling ride of Tuk Tuk, the Thai Motorbike. Thank you Victory Residences for giving us a memorable, safe and amazing stay at your hotel and truly recommended for those with big family or group of friends who would love to stay together in one room as well as for those who would like to experience a authentic/classic/nostalgic vibes of the mid-19th century with a touch of modernity!!! The Bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was excellent in the room and throughout the building. Pool also was good only lacking in "dressing" of the area with some umbrellas etc Breakfast was plentiful with good selection which did not change daily. For the price (~A$65 per night) and great service I rate it as an excellent option in Phaya Thai, being only 550m from the ATS station.

• Benty24 (8/5): Good value for money great location - I am astounded by some of the negative reviews of this hotel that make it seem like it is uninhabitable. Based on those reviews, I arrived with some trepidation but was pleasantly surprised. For the price paid, the hotel is very much value for money located in a side street close to lots of excellent restaurants ,street food outside the Cineworld Mall, and coffee shops. The rooms are furnished in darker wood and whilst not new are presentable and clean with comfortable beds, decent shower and small balconies. Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the King Power Mall and specifically the air conditioning units and the noise of those is very loud. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the pool area is nicely presented. The hotel is ideally located a few hundred metres walk to the Victory Monument BTS Station so this makes the hotel a good option to explore BKK. The breakfast buffet does look unappealing but with so many food options on your doorstep I would select a room option without it. Housekeeping cleaned our room and provided fresh towels daily. If you want USB charging points and modern matching furniture there are plenty of hotels in BKK that will provide that at a premium. If you want clean comfortable accommodation with good aircon in a good location at a reasonable price then Victory Residence ticks all the boxes and after 5 days NO sewer rats evident whatsoever just to alay anyones concerns!
• SydneyBill (4/5): Not as good as I had expected. - My Agoda booking did not go through for some reason so when I arrived I had to rebook a room at a higher rate. The safe in the room did not work and the bathroom door locked me out when I closed it. The breakfast buffet was OK and cost 200 bt. Some of the staff were helpful but I would not stay at this hotel again.
• Michael (10/5): - The staff was always available and attentive. It seemed like there was additional staff performing repairs on the property. I asked about using the laundry (self service laundry) and was directed to talk with the staff nearby. The attendant was prepared to replace some coins for cash but everything worked out in theend. I tried the buffet breakfast and it was okay.
• dsbel (4/5): Disappointing - Location/ easy access from Victory Monument BTS down what looked like a one-way side street. Room/ very old, basic mismatched furniture. No usb charging points and barely any plug sockets to charge anything. Kettle lead very short and difficult to find a plug socket suitable. No hooks to hang anything on, what do you do with damp towels? Very small safe which wasn’t secured to anything and could easily have been picked up and carried away. Small fridge which was so cold it was more like a freezer. Bed was good size and comfortable, shower good with plenty of hot water. Lots of glass in the room, look out for the glass shelf between the wardrobes, I smacked my head on it twice. Breakfast/ very disappointing buffet. Plastic beakers for the cold drinks and no mugs for the coffee, wasn’t sure how long the coffee had been there anyway. Couldn’t face breakfast here again after the first morning. General/ There is off street parking at the front and under the hotel. Would I stay here again? Probably not.
• Tim (6/5): - From the website, the hotel looks amazing. That being said, it isn't what it may have once been. When we arrived, I did not find reception to be very helpful at all. They were not willing to work with me to make a few needed changes. In my room, a tissue had been stuffed into the peephole for the door. I guess it was broken and they did not see the need to repair it. The shower head in my bathroom had mold clearly growing on it and it made me fearful of even showering in the bathroom. The breakfast is very limited and is the same every day. I ws there with students for an academic competition at the King power Center. There were other schools staying there as well and the other chaperones were not keeping an eye on their students. There was a couple of rooms of boys at the end of the hallway and they were constantly in the hallway making noise and unsupervised. I would not choose to stay here again.

Bathroom toilet has issue . the water will no go off after shower the next person had to wait 10-15 min before it clears. Request room change but was told room fully book . However rooms were still available in Agoda and booking . Com Big time con hotel .
• A9593MNanthonyd (2/5): there are too many sewer rats in the hotel, there are garbage rooms on the floors. it smells so bad - The hotel is on a narrow side street, the exterior is newly painted, but the interior is disgraceful. sewer rats roaming in the hallway There are a lot of sewer rats on floors 1 and 2. I changed my room to the upper floor. The pool is very small, the depth is around 1 meter. It's not a pool to swim in. Also, there is no locker room or shower on the swimming pool floor. The breakfast is very simple on the reception floor. Reception and hotel staff do not speak English. I called Agoda Booking site and said there is a sewer rat in the hotel. Agoda customer service asked dlye in the room? I said no, there are sewer rats in the corridor on the floors. Agoda booking customer service can be a sewer rat at the hotel. He said it's very normal. If the sewer rats aren't in the room, it's okay, they replied. I asked if a sewer rat would come into my room, then they warned that please do not let the sewer rats into the room. :)))
• ewanprimrose (8/5): Great comfortable stay - Excellent location - 2 minute walk from BTS station. Staff go above and beyond from check in to check out. Room was spacious and very clean. Unfortunately fridge was noisy at night and there was no hand towel as only negatives. Great value for money. Rooftop pool is incredible in the day and at night

• Shana_Cherryholme (8/5): Ticks the necessary boxes - Great location, lively lobby, spacious bedroom, provided everything we needed. Met our needs with extra water, towels and bedding and a cute cot for our baby. Bathroom could have been designed better (water pools behind bath and drenches floor). Breakfast was satisfactory to us and probably considered very nice to SEA people. We can’t expect them to cater for the minority. Corridors are noisy but that’s due to other inconsiderate guests. Bed and linen was clean and comfy.

The hotel room are nice size. staff are very friendly and nice always reslove any visitor problems quicklu. Many rooms have been renovated and the the room that the staff work on during the day, the staff is carefuly to quitely. The hotel is very close to local resturants with good food.1000 feet to mall with theater and 1500 fett to BTS stop roof top pool and resturant for breakfast only

Roof top pool is a plus and almost never crowded. I think the staff should mention the other amentities like gym, sauna, massasge etc on site but not advertised. • niranjanglobal (6/5): An OK hotel - Good things first: It is bear is BTS train line. It has big rooms which are cleaned well and everyday. They have coffee facility in room. Linen quality is good. Bathroom fittings are good and clean. There is a pool on the top floor. 7 Bad things: It is in a very narrow street where people pee on the side walls making the walk tough with vehicles approaching from behind. The hotel also charged me extra money for the extra bed before check in though i had booked it online. The pool is too small. No room from the window.
• Dan0-2019 (8/5): Great Hotel close to BTS and Shops - This is a great hotel for your stay if you like easy access to the BTS and shops. About a 4 minute walk to the Victory Monument BTS and Central Movie Mall and about 7 minutes from the Victory Monument Circle Many local resturants within an easy 3 to 5 minute walk. Close to King Power Duty Free shops. The hotel is very clean and neat. Rooftop Pool and Garden Area. On sight Spa as well. Staff is very accomodating. Hotel serves breakfast only for a small fee. I have stayed here multple times every year for the last 5 years and the staff and quality continues to be very good quality and a value

Looks like a 3 connecting rooms. Dining table provided. It’s like a studio type unit with 2 bedrooms. 2 table & bath. No toothbrush & toothpaste provided nor slippers too. No bathrobes. Ref provided. Complimentary coffees & waters. Bath tubs & faucets too old. Breakfast buffet too few choices. Not happy with their breakfast. 150Baht per pax.
• Gwiedje (4/5): Mediocre stay in Victory Executive Residence - Pros : Location just 3 minutes from the skytrain station Victory Monument. From there it is one stop to the airportlink if you want to take that one. A friendly lady arranged early check in for me. For the price I paid (special offer 1000 baht, room only) it is OK, not more than that. Breakfast is 150 baht, but tasteless and limited choice. I would definitely not pay more, there are beter options. There is a swimming pool on the rooftop, big enough for a swim. Con's : · Big difference in staff attitude : most were very friendly, but some were not : when I left to Chiang Mai for 1 night, I wanted to leave a bag and pick it up 1 day later, something that hotels in Thailand do normally without any problem. The lady told me that I could only do this if I book a room for the day after, and that this was hotel policy. I refused and came back to the reception 30 minutes later. There was another lady, very friendly, and for her it was no problem. So, are there 2 different hotel policies? Rooms worn out, in need of renovation, at least the one that I had. Airco in the room worked well. Breakfast : limited choice, no refill of fresh vegetables when I arrived at breakfast at 8.30, fresly made omelet was fair. Hot dishes mainly Chinese. Why is it so difficult to offer yoghurt without added sugar? Quality of coffee so so. Late check out cost 1000 baht, from 1 to 6 pm. That was the same price as the hotel price I paid for a night. Definitely my only reason to come back would be the excellent location near the skytrian, just a few minutes walk. If you have to walk to it with your suitcase, it is wise to go into the shopping mail when you come out of the soi on the opposite side, in there there is an escalator, so you don't have to carry your suitcase outside up the stairs.Be aware though that the mall is open from 1o am to 10 pm.

• subc2017 (6/5): Excellent location for best convenience and value of money - THe hotel is best at its location , its centrally located to anywhere in Bangkok . Its at Victory Monument sky train depot and from there you can go anywhere in Bangkok with little hassle . The cheapest way for you to come to the hotel is ride the A2 airport express bus ( 30 B ) to the final depot Victory Monument , and from there walk on to the flyovers and walk all the way to the hotel in 15 min . The location is a bit difficult to find for first timer as its main door is in an alley , and there is another drawback is the staircases are too many and there seems no wheel chair access to the maon door , or even to the roof top pool , there are stair cases for you to climb , which is not easy if you have a weak knee or an excess baggage. The staff are friendly and nice , the rooms are OK not to say luxury but basic , but everything works and clean .. THere are malls nearby and many eateries just outside the hotel , so shopping and eating is not a problem . I would stay there again next time I am in Bangkok , value for your money and time , this is it !

The hotel is very conveniently located as discussed in previous reviews. Hotel has a good pool on the roof, a useful and functional gym. I didn't choose the breakfast option as there is many many eateries in close proximately to cater for all tastes. Would stay there again.

• TropicalWanderlust (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Our family of five stayed here in July 2019. We booked 2 rooms, one for our teenage daughters and one for me and my husband. Our daughters room was nice, recently refurbished I would say. Our room was very worn and was in desperate need of updating. Things like mouldy grout in the bathroom and very dated furniture let it down. However, both rooms were clean. On arrival staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was adequate, plenty of European and Asian dishes to choose from, eggs cooked to order. Hotel is in a good location, not the centre of town but near the MRT/Sky Train. All in all a pleasant stay.

Just make sure you keep all the 10baht coins to be able to operate the washing machine and dryer. Hotel location is great. Walking distance to the mall, restaurants, convenient shops and only a few minutes walk to the BTS Victory Monument station.

I would suggest to book on the Deluxe room with windows but still no view. The hotel can be rated as four star if facilities upgraded. Lobby area not very impress and furniture look old. Transportation not an issue.
• Jill (6/5): Grotty decor , good location - The location is excellent, very quiet for sleeping but the rooms look like they were last decorated in the 70s and since then , everything has been painted badly in cream gloss apart from the walls which have been left dirty white. The bathrooms are all equally ancient worn out and leaky. The beds are creaky and worn out It looks grand from the outside but needs gutting . The breakfast is passable but the coffee is disgusting and that is a basic requirement surely ! The staff are all friendly and helpful :) Considering the state of the place I think it is overpriced.

• Peter (6/5): central location near the transit stop - We spent 6 nights there last week. it was kind of concerning when the cab driver from the airport had no idea where this hotel is. he had to stop the cab and called the hotel to get the direction. it is an older establishment. no frills. very basic but clean. we had a two bedroom suite, spacious by any standard, with a kitchen, balcony, a queen size bed in one room, and two twins in another with TV. otherwise, just bath towels, no face towels, no tissues, but we picked up everything from convenient store across the street. centrally located in city of bangkok, transit stop is across the street. small night market with food vendors are also across the street. AC works really well in 90 degree days. swimming pool is small, the photo on line is deceiving. but would definitely stay there again, can beat it for the prize that we paid per night.

• Gary (6/5): Great location & staff, hotel room a bit outdated - The hotel staff was very friendly, but the overall condition of the room wasn't really that great. A bit outdated I would say. We have stayed in room 921, there was a loud buzzing noise every evening / night from another building nearby, which seemed like a turbine-powered facility. It was hard to catch any sleep even with ear plugs, since we were both light sleepers. I would not stay at this hotel again in the future.

• Linda (2/5): Dirty hotel room, old building, and rude staff - Worst hotel experience. Rented a family suite with 2 rooms. Rooms were filthy, walls had splattered stains, shower was in a bathtub that had an ugly ring of greasy dirt, fridge smelled horrible and was old/dirty, and the clothes cabinet smelled like rotten fish. Asked staff to change rooms, but they would not allow it. They only offered to give me cleaning supplies to clean the room myself.

• nastasha (4/5): worse hotel - a pillow each when hotels of 3 stars that i've been to would have 2 pillows each. staff wasn't willing to give extra pillows. there was a cockroach in the room, a big one. fridge was filled with ice cubes at the edge of the door, so the door had to be pushed with force to close it. receptionist wasn't friendly at all. only the lobby was nicely decorated, not the room. differs from photos online.

• Michael (2/5): Wow you lied to me? - At first glance you kind of see the Hotel as something between a welcoming 30's type of hotel and the haunted mansion. The lobby has a wonderful old feel to it with lots of dark wood and a little Art Deco feel. After we got to the room l requested two twins and was now looking at a queen. They switched me rooms quickly. The room is spacious with lots of places to put your clothes, but this was a an old hotel, and checking out the bathroom was an experience. I didn't think you could put that much caulk on a bathroom fixture, but l was wrong. This would have been a nice hotel but everywhere l looked l realized if they would have put a little money in the place it would have been a much nicer hotel, repairing something that should be replaced is just a cheap way of doing business. I also didn't take notice of the building being built across the alley. Construction noise all day. Now if for all these things about the hotel you don't know about till you get there, l would have rated it much higher, l actually liked the hotel, but the first morning l was awakened by drilling next door. That morning l asked if they would continue work next door, and the staff said no. The next morning the drilling was even louder. I understand work has to be done and it's done during the day but you could have also moved me away from the work being done. So, if you lie to me, you get the lowest rating l ever left for a hotel.

• William (6/5): Just adequate - I chose the property because i had a need to be near Victory Monument BTS, so in that regard it was great as it was less than a 5 minute walk away and 1 minute from a modern mall and local restaurants. The hotel presents well but was a let down by the detail, from having to leave a cash deposit, no bath mat or hand towels, no working plug in the hand basin and the real annoying one being very slow wifi which made it difficult to get anything done. They also refused me a late checkout even though the hotel was very quiet with about 3 people at breakfast. So other than the lication for me it was an underwhelming experience.

It's in a good spot but the air con in the room did not work on the first night, there are a lot of cracked and damaged tiles in the bathroom, most of the taps were sticking, gaps around the windows and the bed was really uncomfortable and the breakfast was pretty basic.

Wonderful experience. - First of all, my family and I have stayed in a lot of mid-range hotels that are barely hanging on, so we were not expecting much when we booked. However..... Victory was a pleasant sursprise! It is aging nicely, had great service, and was in a easy location. The Family Mart nearby, self-service laundry and proximity to the BTS train made it even better.

However the hotel needs some renovation in the bathrooms and need to improve their walls as you can hear a lot of things from people walking and chatting down the hallway, people talking in the room next to you, and every small thing can be heard. Otherwise its a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff and a nice small pool.

• Ed (6/5): Nice hotel, great location but limited services - Comfortable room, clean facilities, friendly staff. No elevator from street to lobby (have to climb stairs, hard on arthritic knees). Basic room includes all you really need but must request microwave or iron if needed. Not all items available (e.g., no DVD player available when requested). Stayed in 2 different rooms and had different TV formats (basic PAL vs. flat screen) with varying hookup capability (HDMI, USB, RCA cable, etc.). Breakfast buffet is limited compared to other hotels stayed at during other trips to Bangkok. Only breakfast is available, no lunch or dinner service or room service. This is ok if you're familiar with street vendors, who are plentiful along Soi Rangnam, Late night soda/snacks takes a little planning; there is a Tops Supermarket and food court in Century Plaza, nearby 7-11 and Family Mart next door. The rooftop pool is small but comfortable and very clean; good for a light workout. All the staff are very professional and courteous, and the front desk usually has someone with stronger English skills. Good wifi throughout the facility.
• budsaba (10/5): Welcoming and enjoyables stay at a great location - The service from the team was very good, what you would expect from a welcoming hotel. The rooms are cleaned everyday and refreshments are topped up. There is a swimmimg pool and fitness room which are available for usage until 10.30pm which was a great bonus. Would love to head back to this hotel as down the road there is plenty of food in the morning and night, plentiful convinience stores and easy access to the BTS and bus stops.
• Ed (8/5): Convenient location near transport - The desk staff are very helpful, even if their English is a little limited. Easy check-in. A great location a block from the BTS Skytrain and Century Plaza mall with many shops, restaurants, snack places in many styles (Western, Thai, Japanese) and a good food court for the very budget conscious. Also has a Cineplex. It's easy for friends to find as it is between two major landmarks (the BTS and King Power Duty Free shop) right off a well-known street (Soi Rangnam). And it stands out as a tall yellow building. There's tons of street vendors for fresh fruit and hot take-away. Also a lot of restaurants. Close to the Saxaphone Jazz club and vendors of every ilk (clothes, shoes, gold, jewels, etc.).
