Guest Reviews
- Mostafa Ahmad Saady (10/5): -
- Jean-marc (10/5): Enjoy your stay . - The location is perfect, the staffs very nice, the beautiful room, the breakfast was pharaonic, the chocolate lounge and the menu, the restaurants and of course the rooftop with the pool and his view, no doubt we will be back to the same hotel . Nothing really to be honest .
- Ahmed (10/5): - The reception team was very helpful and aya was very nice
- Ali (10/5): My 9 nights stay at Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo was excellent in every aspect. The reception team was professional and we - My 9 nights stay at Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo was excellent in every aspect. The reception team was professional and welcoming, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the rooms were elegant, clean, and very comfortable.
What truly makes this hotel special is its flexibility and personalized service, always ensuring guests feel valued and cared for.
What also distinguishes this hotel from other Kempinski properties is that the team is fully made up of local nationals, reflecting authentic hospitality, professionalism, and a unique local touch that made the experience even more memorable. Nothing

- Vladimir Szabo Czech (9/5): - Hotel má úžasný výhled na řeku Nil zejména z vyšších pater. Postele jsou pohodlné. Restaurace a jídlo velmi chutné personál v restauraci ochotný a profesionální. Dlouho do noci v patře nad námi probíhala nějaká oslava a bylo slyšet jak lidé nad námi tancují a duní basy. Musel jsem spát se špunty do uší.
- Maroun El Moujabber (9/5): - Need renovation

- 59sofiaz (10/5): Amazing and best experience ever into Cairo and stay in Kempinski Hotel - I came with my best friend from Chile and this has been the best hotel in my whole life travelling in several other countries and continents.
Firstly everything is clean extremely clean, the receptionist, security guard and the staff of the kitchen is so kind. The room is big and bathroom have everything what we need. It is so well think everything.
They are a resolutive staff in this hotel because they resolve and issue that we had with booking application on the reservation. So they really take care of our issue and resolve so this is really customer centricity and customer first.
We highly recommend to come to Cairo and stay in this hotel because it makes an excellent experience
Carlos was an excellent team member for the hotel and support us on the problem resolution with booking application.
The food is amazing in breakfast and also room service
Thanks very much for all
- Alison (6/5): Too Expensive for B&B - It’s a nicely appointed hotel with comfortable bedrooms, lovely roof terrace and restaurants.
The food served is of a high quality I paid £270 per night B&B. I don’t feel this is good value, despite booking 6 months in aft and requesting high floor room, I was given a room of floor 3. There’s extremely heavy traffic 24 hours right below, and this combined with live music a pen air across the Nile , starting up around midnight until about 4am, sleep eluded me.
Having been told by Reception that I was “ Lucky to get early check in “ and request for higher floor ignored I did investigate looking at other hotels for remaining 3 nights however would have lost too much money,
Called Reception at 8 am and the offered me a suite at back of hotel or a move to floor 7 which I accepted ,
It was quite a bit calmer up there thankfully .
My Butler Mahmoot was excellent, professional and friendly, he greatly enhanced my stay.
Overall , I think some staff fall short on acceptable levels of customer service , while others are very helpful and friendly.
It’s a safe area for a stroll around but get your runners on to cross the road!
- Emilia (1/5): Not worth that money. - Not much. I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay here. From the moment I arrived, the staff came across as cold and not welcoming at all, which immediately gave a bad first impression.
I specifically booked a room with a view, but there was basically no view, definitely not what was advertised, so that felt quite misleading.
The cleanliness was also not up to standard. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned, and overall it just seemed a bit neglected. On top of that, some of the equipment in the room wasn’t working, which made the stay even more frustrating.
After reading other reviews, I can see I’m not the only one , I experienced many of the same issues people have already mentioned.
For the following nights, I booked another hotel in the same area, and the difference is honestly huge - a completely different (and much better) experience compared to this place.
The GM offered me a spa voucher, which I didn’t use. I appreciate the gesture, but I would much rather have the basic things I actually paid for meet the expected standard, instead of trying to make up for them with extras.
This is definitely not a 5-star experience, and nowhere near what you’d expect from Kempinski. Honestly, it feels more like a 3-star hotel at best. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- Badru (10/5): - The breakfast was splendid
- Z4261J (10/5): Beyond Our Expectations - Our 12-night stay at the Kempinski Nile was wonderful, from our initial meet and greet at the airport to our final drop off at Cairo International Airport. My emails regarding our planning for guided tours with the concierge were answered promptly. The Kempinski Nile was an excellent choice. We reserved the Deluxe Nile Suite, overlooking the Nile. The suite was comfortable, the view of the Nile superb, and the Executive Lounge that was included in our stay completed a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the enormous selection of the buffet breakfast which were delicious and the offerings at the Executive Lounge fantastic. All the staff were gracious, welcoming, and helpful. Sabry the concierge, Ibrahim at breakfast, Rajeb and Hassan in the Executive Lounge, and Mohamed from the Butler Team. Of particular note, Sabry arranged for our personal guide in Cairo, Sara, an Egyptologist who was the best guide one could ask for, for her breath of knowledge and outgoing and friendly manner, leaving us with a memorable stay in Cairo.
- Jaboutaan (10/5): Amazingly great and by far - The best staff you can ever meet across the globe by far. The moment you are in, you feel like home with friends. Not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms and amazing food, will return soon for sure.
- Ferencz (10/5): -
- davidmY3143FV (10/5): Wonderful staff, beautiful views and a very comfortable Cairo base - I spent a week at the Kempinski Nile and had a fantastic stay.
The location is very central, but in the Garden City district, which is slightly quieter and next to the British Embassy, in a historic neighbourhood. When you step outside the hotel, no one approaches you to sell you something or tries to drag you into a shop, which is not always the case in Cairo.
It should be noted that the street outside is very busy with traffic and there is no pedestrian crossing. However, once you go up to the rooftop of the hotel, you realise you are right on the Nile. I did get used to crossing the road after a couple of days. You are also near Tahrir Square and the original Egyptian Museum, which you should not miss if you are also going to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
I loved the gym, which also overlooks the Nile. It is quite small but very well maintained. The rooftop pool is also small, but it was great having a rooftop bar, and a lot of guests seemed to enjoy relaxing there. In the early evening I liked the Jazz Lounge, which again has beautiful views and a cosy, private club feel. In the foyer there is also the Chocolate Lounge, where they sometimes had a harpist. So there are a lot of places to go within the hotel itself.
I had half board and ate most evenings in The Osmanly Restaurant, a Turkish restaurant run by the excellent restaurant manager Yousaf. Yousaf runs the place brilliantly, and I would highly recommend this restaurant even to people who are not staying in the hotel. I also want to mention Ashraf, who is excellent front of house. He combines humour and professionalism with a genuine sense of wanting you to try everything on the menu, and even prepared a few surprises. My thanks to everyone in this restaurant.
Breakfast was in The Blue Restaurant, which becomes an Italian restaurant in the evening. The highlight for me was the freshly baked Egyptian bread. There is a wide range of international and Egyptian dishes, and it is a real treat to have breakfast overlooking the Nile. Again, my thanks to Adham, Mina and Mounir, who were excellent waiters at breakfast, bringing me fresh mint tea and always being attentive.
Housekeeping was twice a day and the hotel is very clean, with spacious rooms. Both cleaners who looked after my room, one in the morning and one in the evening, were excellent. If you stay at this hotel, you will get to know the staff, not in a pushy way, but in a genuinely charming and warm way that made me sad to leave.
The concierge staff are amazing, and you feel that any issue you have will be dealt with. A special thanks to Hussein and Sabry, who went out and got my blood pressure medication when I had forgotten it in the UK. They had it all ready for me when I arrived, and I appreciated that so much.
A couple of small ideas for improvement:
The hot drinks at breakfast could perhaps be developed a little. It would have been lovely to have the same quality of coffee at breakfast that was served elsewhere in the hotel.
The excursions arranged through the hotel are at a very premium price. While everything was organised very smoothly and effortlessly, I think it would be a nice touch for the hotel to check afterwards that guests were happy with the experience, especially given the investment involved.
Thank you for a fantastic stay. I will be back.
- Dr Fares Makarem (8/5): The perfect hotel for central cairo - The whole experience and staff were excellent The Pool was too small
- Mihaela Ecaterina (10/5): - I loved the professionalism and warmth of the staff plus the timeless elegance and beauty of the hotel. The food and service were all amazing. The location îs Central and it's the best hotel to stay in Cairo
- Sultan (10/5): - Outstaing service , cleanliness and everything was outstanding esp thanks to romm service cleaners and mr Taha and Abdu

- yaccov (9/5): The hotel is beautiful. The service is perfect. Next time I will request a higher floor to avoid the noise. - Perfect Hotel
I loved everything
The service was perfect ! I stayed in the fifth floor, and it was a bit noisy at night.
- Kirill (10/5): -
- Jan Willem (9/5): -
- Full-time Expat (10/5): A truly exceptional four-night stay at Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo - The location is hard to beat, right on the Nile and perfectly positioned to explore the city. After long days of sightseeing, it was the ideal place to return to and recharge.
The food consistently exceeded expectations… Quality, variety, and execution were all strong. Breakfast was buffet with limitless options and the other dining options and evening meals exceeded our expectations.
What sets this hotel apart, however, is the service. It is not just good, it is proactive, thoughtful, and highly personalized.
A special thank you to Raed our concierge, who flawlessly organized three full days of tours for us. Everything was seamless, from planning to execution, and the ability to have it all coordinated and charged to the room made the experience effortless.
Equally, Sabyr, Elhussein, and Bunduq along with the entire pool team created a perfect environment to unwind after full days out. Attentive without being intrusive, and always one step ahead.
If you are looking for a stay in Cairo that combines location, comfort, and genuinely outstanding service, this is a strong choice. One area for improvement would be the pool setup. Seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Given the limited space, this can make availability challenging at peak times, particularly when larger groups (families with children) occupy multiple areas simultaneously. A more structured approach could improve the overall guest experience.

- nithsp (10/5): Exceptional, Amazing experience in Egypt! - We arrived early in the morning at Kempinski on the Nile in Cairo. Checking in was swift and pleasant. The atmosphere was so welcoming. Rooms were luxurious. Mr Ragab from the Executive Lounge and Mohammed Sayed from the Butler team, served my family and I with exceptional care. Their professionalism, warm and friendly disposition was deeply appreciated. They contributed to our overall experience in Cairo. They have enhanced the reputation of Kempinski Nile hotel.
- TerrynSP (10/5): Authenticity & Exceptional Hospitality - What sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and memorable. There’s an authenticity to their kindness that can’t be trained—it’s simply who they are. Ragab's kindness, responsiveness, and pride in his work made all the difference. We left feeling incredibly well looked after.

I would love to mention particularly Mr Ragab in the executive lounge- he was amazing! That was the best service we have ever experienced in any hotel. He was so kind, attentive and took care of every single thing, nothing was impossible for him. Thank you once more Ragab!
Additionally, I want to mention also Ms Aya who we met at the reception. She took care of any request we have with such profesionalizm and speed that we were truly impressed. Top quality service. Thank you again Aya.
Also, Mr Mohammed who cleaned our making it spotless and bringing us joy whenever we saw him.

- Alasdair (9/5): An excellent stay with incredibly kind and helpful staff - Well done - I had an excellent couple of days here,
Probably the warmest welcome and kindest staff I have encountered in my many years of travels around the world. Cairo is an extremely challenging city for Europeans and it is very nice to have a place to retire to- with such helpful people.
As an example, I was a little disappointed when I arrived hot and tired from a work engagement on the Sunday afternoon to find the rooftop pool, with its simply amazing view, was quite small and unfortunately all the chairs and beds were unavailable. Potentially my problem, with a busy time wanting some relaxation- definitely a first world problem! I mentioned this at the front desk. They insisted on summoning the Hotel manager who solved the problem! I returned to the rooftop intermittently for the next couple of days enjoying the sensational views, more of a plunge rather than a Long pool and if there wasn't a Sunlounger available immediately, read my book on the chair for a short period and then one always came up.
In terms of room decision it's either Nile or city view. The former really spectacular, but of course with a lot of traffic on the Riverside Road beneath........ The latter without the drama, but nevertheless cheaper and with a really interesting city building behind as its next to the historic part of Cairo with embassies et cetera, I think next time I might opt for the city with a little economy and a change
Breakfast and light lunch by the pool were excellent In terms of the hotel nothing… However, Cairo is an exceptional city in terms of crazy traffic everywhere and in particular no pedestrian crossings whatsoever. Although it's possible to walk to Tahrir Square in around five minutes, anything more than that take an Uber… Which works extremely efficiently, is amazingly cheap – nb cash only.
- LoveParis2019 (10/5): Encourage to stay in - Clean, very helpful Staff, big room, beautiful view of the Nile, very good breakfast,
Niente, tutto perfetto!

- David (10/5): Excellent hotel in all respects. - Comfortable suite (upgraded). Very attentive and friendly staff. Rooftop pool overlooking Nile. It’s located the other side of a busy road so dangerous to cross if you want to walk along the Nile.

- anardi7 (10/5): Amazing Hotel with great views of the Nile - My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Egypt and stayed at the Nile Kempinski and had a fabulous stay. The entire staff was so friendly and attentive. Our Executive suite overlooking the Nile was a beautiful spacious suite. We enjoyed our visit at this amazing hotel. The Lady's in Red are always so friendly and helpful. The concierge services were extremely helpful when we thought Egypt Air cancelled our flight to Luxor- the concierge contacted Egypt Air for us and was able to get everything handled- I wish I could remember the concierge representative's name- be he was so helpful and we greatly appreciate his help. We enjoyed drinks and light bites in the beautiful Jazz Bar overlooking the Nile with stunning night views of Cairo. Overall it was a great place to stay- we have never been disappointed with our many stays at the Kempinski Hotels throughout our travels.

- sallybW6340KH (10/5): Would come here again - Our tour operator recommended this hotel … it’s been great. Ideal location. Very fair price(we stayed 3 nights). The food is excellent in all restaurant’s and very good value. Breakfast is exceptional, as are the staff. The staff are all friendly, professional and extremely efficient. Make sure you pay the extra for a river side room…
- Sightseer08495839176 (10/5): Great Cairo Hotel - We bought a Discovery Tour with Gate One, total of four days at the Kempinski Nile River Hotel. The first stay ( two nights ) we found the room to be very good and clean, though slightly smaller than we expected… however on the second two night tour( after 5 nights cruising the Nile and two in Luxor) we were upgraded to a suite and it was excellent… very comfortable and with a great view of the Nile River. The staff was very friendly and eager to please us ( Abeer at customer service was great). We received our luggage immediately and were able to arrange our airport transfer very easily with the concierge services. We had already stayed at the Beijing and Istanbul Kempinski years ago and felt equally pleased with the Nile River Kempinski. Highly recommended!!!
- anniemE8217HC (10/5): Exceptional From Check-In to Check-Out – A Faultless Stay - From the moment we arrived at the Kempinski Nile Hotel, we were enveloped in luxury. The Night Manager and Assistant Night Manager set a perfect tone for our stay, providing an exceptionally warm welcome and a seamless check-in process. The property is stunning—everything is clean, shiny, and maintained to the highest standard.
Our room offered incredible comfort, specifically the beds and the thoughtful selection of pillows. We were equally impressed by the dining; the breakfast was gorgeous and was a variety of restaurants on-site. Even with its bustling city location, we felt completely taken care of by the friendly and efficient security and door staff. I truly could not fault a single aspect of our stay.
Misschien grotere roofbar een must
- Wagih (10/5): - the stay was very nice and aya from reception was very nice nice

- naa862 (10/5): Our stay at the Kempinski Caïro - Our stay at the Kempinski in Cairo was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth, welcoming, and well taken care of.
We spent 10 days in Cairo and experienced so much, but coming back to the hotel each day made it even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Zaineb, Ibrahim, and Christine, their kindness and genuine hospitality did not go unnoticed. They made us feel comfortable and valued throughout our stay.
One thing I really appreciated was my morning coffee always being served on time, a small detail, but it made a big difference to start the day right. The housekeeping team also deserves recognition; they were consistently friendly, attentive, and kept our room spotless. We always came back to a clean, fresh space, fully stocked and perfectly maintained.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm, elegant, and relaxing, exactly what you need after busy days exploring the city. The staff’s professionalism combined with their warmth created an experience that felt both luxurious and personal.
We truly lacked nothing during our stay. Everything was handled with care and attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo and would gladly return again.

- amraG342TO (10/5): Highly Recommended - Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and the hotel exceeded all our expectations. The Suite was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bed incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the stunning river and city views from our balcony was a highlight of each morning.
The location was ideal for sightseeing, and the staff were exceptional — consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient. A special thank you to Mr. Ahmed Suleiman, who supported us from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, as well as the concierge team for organising our attraction bookings.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the kids especially loved spending time in the pool. We would happily return.
- olabN8042NQ (10/5): Exceptional 5‑Star Stay With Stunning Nile Views - We had an incredible stay at this 5‑star hotel in Cairo. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the rooftop pool was absolutely amazing — a beautiful place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The concierge team were outstanding, helping us with attraction bookings and offering excellent advice throughout our stay.
Our suite was spacious, extremely comfortable, and beautifully arranged. The view of the Nile River and the city from our balcony was breathtaking — one of those moments that makes the whole trip feel special.
Breakfast each morning was excellent with plenty of variety, and the Executive Lounge offered great food and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff across the hotel were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel genuinely welcomed.
Special thanks to Mr Ahmed Suleiman for his outstanding service throughout our stay.
A fantastic experience from start to finish. We would certainly choose this hotel again.
- soumayae435 (10/5): Wonderful! - We had an absolutely wonderful time in Kempinski. Location on the Nile, city center. The crew was incredible. The breakfast very good. The rooms very confortable. We felt really secure. The concierge service (Mr Sabry) was so kind, he made many reservations for us in classy restaurants, boat trip on the Nile... we enjoyed our stay and I definitly recommand it! We'll be back in our next trip to Cairo
- sarahsD4711YA (10/5): Five-star service with a five-star view - The Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo was fantastic. We arranged an airport pickup through the hotel, and the driver was punctual, informative, and incredibly kind. The staff were accommodating, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The restaurants and bars offered great options to suit any mood. The view of the Nile was beautiful (I suggest getting a room with a Nile view). I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thanks to the fabulous staff for making our trip to Cairo the trio of a lifetime!
- ariane (9/5): Geweldig.
Locatie zeer centraal. Alles was uitstekend in orde.
- Gillian (8/5): Good hotel for a few days stopover in Cairo! - Good location, lovely room and very friendly staff. Sometimes the music at the pool was too loud-particularly when people want to chill out after a day of sightseeing. However, the staff turned it down when asked.

- 552denes (8/5): Cairo mini break - Lovely hotel, with great rooms and exceptionally friendly staff, only downside would be breakfast which at times was manic .. too many guests and not enough seats and staff ..didn’t get offered a coffee/tea on a couple of occasions - food choice though was great
- Jessica (10/5): Absolutely Exceptional! - My stay at the Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo was nothing short of exceptional. As always, Kempinski delivered absolute perfection, going above and beyond to meet my every need. Every team—from concierge and the Red Ladies to front of house and food and beverage—was incredible. The staff truly make you feel like you are their only guest, offering such a personal and attentive experience.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views of the Nile and a fantastic location just 30 minutes from the airport. Fresh flowers throughout added a luxurious touch and the food was outstanding, especially at their Italian restaurant. What stood out most was how every staff member knew my name and consistently went the extra mile to ensure I was looked after.
As a solo female traveller, it can sometimes feel daunting being in a new country, but choosing Kempinski always gives me peace of mind. Their attention to safety—even noting my Uber driver’s details—made me feel completely secure and cared for throughout my stay. A few dogs barking outside the hotel once or twice throughout the night, possibly from close by houses of the local community, which woke me up once or twice.
