Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not quite what you see in the photos - We stayed in this hotel for one night and was glad it wasn’t more. The rooms on first inspection aren’t exactly what you expect. It’s probably what the hotel looked like A decade or 2 ago. But it’s acceptable for the price. The main concern was the burn marks around the plugs and luckily our electronics were fully charged. In first inspection the room room looked clean enough, but when we got a little more settled I started noticing bits which weren’t right, stains on one of our towels, a slight tea stain look on the bed and a mirror which hadn’t been cleaned for some time. The stay was made worse by the extremely noisy family next door. However the staff were brilliant when I went down at 11pm to ask the room next door if they could be a little quieter. They rang straight away and apologised to me for the noise and being unable to sleep. Other than that the room was lovely and quiet and we couldn’t hear any of the traffic noise outside! It was a massive positive to the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is very near to Taj Mahal, 8-10 min walk only. Though the room was big, the electrical equipments and sockets were faulty or not functional. The bathroom was not clean and the faucets were old and dirty. For the price Expedia charged, the overall experience was very poor. Our driver told us that there are better hotels nearby Taj about half the price we paid. We feel like we got ripped off.
- cedric (2/5): Avoid at all costs - This hotel is dirty, no hot water or heating do not book you will regret it ignore the good reviews,
- Mayank (2/5): - It Says Breakfast Included. There was two option only Alu Paratha and Pasta.
Outside Foods are not allowed. Resturant does not accepts the Card Transaction its only Cash.
Very Bad bedsheets and cover. TV was operating but no channels to view.
I would suggest not to recommend this hotel in future.
- Pat (4/5): - I booked a deluxe double room with view for 3 nights six months in advance.
I arrived at 10pm after a 6 hour train trip. I was given a room with double bed and an absolutely disgusting bathroom and no view. The bathroom sink couldn't be turned off and water just flowed all night. Elsewhere water dripped all night. Bathroom floor wet all night. It was a ground floor room and down hall people talking loudly and banging all night in foyer area.
Next morning I demanded a new room and staff happily provided room on 1st floor with window onto side street. This room was quite suitable for the price except mattress was so hard sleep was very difficult. If given this room first night I would have made no complaint and happy with this hotel.
No explanation or apology given by hotel.
Location was good, a/c good, WiFi good, safe area, walking distance to Taj Mahal. Restaurant was okay but very slow service even when no other customers.
On 1st floor room shower wets whole bathroom floor and it stays wet. Sheets were yellow and stained but probably cleaned and just very old.
Not sure of better offerings in accommodation in Agra. But if choose this hotel avoid ground floor room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I did not enjoy the attitude or level of service from the hotel staff who were not very welcoming.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok. Great for the Taj Mahal but not really anything else. Customer service left a lot to be desired and booking a trip with them is not recommended
- Nas (8/5): - I liked this hotel overall but the bed was really hard to sleep on. They need to change the mattress!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very close to the Taj Mahal, perfect walking distance.
- Rina (6/5): - Overall an OK stay for one night to see the Taj Mahal and nearby attractions. Bed was comfortable but room and bathroom extremely muggy and stuffy. They didn’t have a record of our reservation when we arrived even though it was booked and prepaid, but still got the room we expected. The restaurant was pretty expensive compared to everywhere else we’ve eaten in india and the food was just ok. Also don’t book busses onward through the hotel.. they charge double what you will pay online or at travel counters and you still have to get yourself to the bus station. Same for private transfers... go with Uber or Ola cabs instead.
- Deirdre (6/5): - Rooms were alright, stay away from the restaurant, food was very poor. We couldn't eat anything from the breakfast buffet and had to go elsewhere.
- Stephen (10/5): Decent. - The hotel is idea for visiting The Taj, nice big rooms and a great warm shower (the shower is timed and only warm at certain times). Staff are helpful, we booked two nights but only stayed one as apart from The Taj, there’s not really anything to do in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Amazing location, can walk to Taj Mahal and stores nearby. Front desk staff can speak English very well. Restaurant is fairly priced. Only complaint is the washroom needed some updating as the room was modern and lovely, while the washroom was very old, outdated and felt like a dungeon.
- Alastair (8/5): - Good hotel, close to Taj, friendly and helpful staff, condition was good (not excellent, but above average).
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unclean hotel - Unfortunately the rooms were made to look clean but when we went to go to sleep the beds had been slept in with food stains and rice in the bed. YUCK.
They moved us to another room but we still felt beds weren't very clean.
Breakfast services were slow, and my husbands coffee never arrived after asking for it twice we left.
Don't stay here
- Ian (6/5): - The hotel was probably a little bit run down with an extremely basic bathroom we were also disappointed it didn’t have its advertised safe as that is one of the items I specifically look for when choosing a hotel. Having said that for a 1 night stay to visit the taj mahal it was ok as it was clean and no more than a 10 minute walk away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastically located for Taj Mahal - Clean, good standard hotel with a lovely , large bedroom . Was such a perfect base for staying over and visiting the Taj Mahal. I went with family of 4 and our large room was spacious and clean. thanks
- Justin (8/5): Nice budget hotel with excellent staff - It was an excellent experience with very preasent staff. Mr. Pathak and other staff members went above and beyond of what can be expected from the hotel staff. These gentlemen got us in touch with a photographer at Taj, who had given us a wrong CD and had no contact info. The photographer was of no help, but the staff from the hotel phoned us again to see if they can be of further help to us. Thanks you all very much!
- mic (4/5): Family trip in Agra - Dirty and hot water don’t work well in family rooms
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible place - The room has ZERO sound proof capability. By that I mean, I can hear the staff talking loudly, and shutting the doors like it's an abandoned place. At 2am in the night, there were music playing loudly out side the window from a low quality speaker. For the entire night, their staff were making noise constantly. I lived in room 305, the telephone was not working at all so cannot call the front desk.
- Donnie (6/5): Simple hotel, in great location for the Taj - Simple, acceptable and affordable hotel in great location to walk to the Taj Mahal. Beyond that, the room and hotel itself do not look as nice as the pictures, and the staff encouraged us to instead stay at a partner hotel down the street despite booking our stay weeks in advance. Despite that, the room was clean, there was hot water (after asking for it to be fixed), and it was just fine for 1 night and to visit the Taj Mahal. I also booked a car through the staff which worked out well.
- Sam (2/5): Worse location - Hotel is close to Taj Mahal but the location is terrible. Area is extremely busy with lots of localpeople, cars , loud music, street beggers, thugs and dirt. Hotel photos are misleading. I would rate it 2 star. Its a cheap looking hotel and area. Not recommended for families with kids at all. Area not safe either.
- Preethi (10/5): - The hotel is about 800 m from Taj Mahal which makes its location awesome. The service is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful. Room service is fast and food from hotel restaurant is good. The bath water was cold to lukewarm but other than that we had a very comfortable stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very close to the east gate of Taj Mahal, nice staff, clean room.
- Heidi (6/5): Clean hotel very close to taj mahal - Room was clean with nice clean sheets and towels. Room service food was nice and the staff were very helpful (because their English was not good they would come up when I called to check they had my order correct). Hot water was only on demand and sadly had to wait about half an hour before it was warm/hot after calling so I missed having a hot shower because we were in a rush to leave (this dulled my experience because I was really looking forward to a hot shower, had only had cold ones for almost two weeks because of staying with locals). My advice is ask for hot water about 40mins before you want it. There were no menus in the room when we arrived and we had to visit the restaurant to get one to order room service. For the price we were happy and it is very close to the taj.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful and accommodating to our needs, however the bathroom was a little dated and the room lack storage for clothes and a small fridge would have been handy for keeping bottled water cold.
- Rob (8/5): Surprisingly Good - The room was large, comfortable, and reasonably well decorated. Location was quite convenient, about 500 meters from the Taj Mahal.
- Jovan (10/5): Good hotel and excellent service - Immensely professional staffs from start to finish, and they were very polite too with our every requests. Good location, the beautiful Taj Mahal is just 5 minutes walk from this hotel. The restaurant was a bit small, but it was still fantastic and served excellent food. I also loved my room, not too big, but comfortable and clean enough for my need.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Truly delightful stay
- Very courteous staffs. They’re knowledgeable too.Nothing was too much trouble. Centrally located to all attractions. Hotel was spotless. Well equipped room with free Wifi, desk, comfortable beds and most importantly a clean bathroom.
- Koen (8/5): Just good enough
- Wifi worked well throughout the hotel and room. Good location, near Taj Mahal and Agra fort too. Staff was very helpful. The only criticism is that the curtain could not be fully enclosed and seemed a bit dull, need to change. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.
- Galen (8/5): Very happy with the stay
- Breakfast was delicious, very friendly and helpful staff and the room was nice with excellent beds and a tea kettle. The location was great, literally 5 minutes walk from the taj mahal. Very happy with the stay.
- Elena (8/5): Very nice experience
- All round, a very nice experience, you get what you pay for. The rooms were very good in term of cleanliness and size. Travel desk staff was incredible - they actually helped us arrange most of our trips. Everything was absolutely perfect here - can't wait to go back.
- Jannis (8/5): Convenient place with good rooms - Hotel is located not far from Taj Mahal, it is within walking distance, you can walk to Agra fort too in 10 minutes, or you can also take the hotel taxi if you do not want to walk. Another thing I like about the hotel is its clean, simple - sober room and perfectly adequate for 2 people.
- Allison (8/5): Short but great stay
- Short but great stay Feel like we were staying at our own home. The rooms and other facilities were very nice and comfortable. The quality and variety of food was great, and the taste was very nice. Location quite nice. Within walking distance there are many places to see including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
- Michael (8/5): Would recommend this to everyone
- My partner and I loved this place because it is very inexpensive and conveniently located near the taj mahal, our main place to visit. The staff at this hotel were so polite, helpful, welcoming, and also all spoke very good English. The food we had at the hotel restaurant was too affordable and amazing.
- Lionel (10/5): Pretty much faultless
- Hotel was pretty much faultless and it offered excellent facilities, including great breakfast and fast WiFi. Staff were excellent. They were willing to assist you in every way possible. Rooms were well furnished and spacious. Would definitely stay again.
- dayananda (8/5): Good quality accommodation - Good quality accommodation with very dedicated and helpful staff, and is conveniently located; just 5 minutes walk from the Taj Mahal. Our air-conditioned room was very clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was good, and it was nice that we were served in our room, as the restaurant was very crowded.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, value for money but bad restaurant - Stay was comfortable, however the service is not up to the mark. Also the restaurant is way too expensive. Also they charged GST on water bottles.
- Debra (2/5): Do NOT stay here! - Excessive street noise
Spotty wifi
Air conditioner dripping on bed
Dirty sheets and towels
Cigarette smell in non smoking room
Shady people in and around lobby
Mattresses like slabs of wood
Disco music outside at 5am
Outdated fixtures
Strangely ripped up lower level (i.e., chunks of broken concrete lying around?!)
Appears as if squatters are living in a room adjacent to lobby area
- Vikram (8/5): Perfect hotel in every aspect
- Absolutely perfect hotel in every aspect. The staff was very attentive and helpful all the time. WiFi available in the room as well as lobby and was free. Bedroom was good. The surrounding area was very nice, full of locals and small shops.
- Sameera (8/5): Extremely comfortable stay - Location is nice, especially if you are traveling with family as all major sites in this city are nearby, and you do not have to travel long. Breakfast was adequate and delicious. The facilities were good, WiFi was reliable.
- Shyam (6/5): Medium budget hotel - Indeed close to Taj - This indeed is close to the Taj Mahal. It is a 2-minute walk to the Taj Mahal ticketing counter. Room offered was exactly what we wanted with the correct number of beds. However, the bathroom could have been slightly cleaner. There was no running hot water and they had to bring it in buckets. We were 4 of us and was annoying to having our privacy invaded in the morning. Room service was good. Pleasantly surprised with the grilled cheese sandwich. Reception staff were courteous and efficient. Wi-Fi does not work in rooms once doors were closed - had to keep it ajar - explains why people were standing outside in the corridors with their phones.
- Moser (8/5): Great value in a convenient location
- Every member of staff was friendly and polite. The room itself was pleasant and well equipped, and the decor of the room was nice. Very close to the eastern gate of the taj mahal so it is easy to get there without taxi.
- Marnix (10/5): Good experience, thanks to Mr. Saurabh and team - Received a great service from the front office staff, Saurabh. He helped us a lot when we encounter some problems with our debit card, and also when it comes to introducing the nearby eateries and sites. Room was great as well, everything was in good condition and the housekeeping was also did a good job in keeping our room clean all the time.
- Harry (10/5): Good hotel value for money - VThis is our second stay here and we really enjoyed it. Hotel staff were excellent, especially the staff at breakfast, could not do enough for you. Room was better than our previous stay. Location was a little far from the train station, but it was not a big problem because they offer a free taxi service from the train station to the hotel.
- luciana (8/5): Excellent and relaxing stay - Perfect room for my family, very clean and comfortable. Excellent service, they also offer free pick up from the train station. Great location, close to all historical sites. I can not wait for another relaxing experience at the hotel. Thank you very much :)
- Allen (8/5): Comfortable hotel at a good price - Affordable price, great location, amazing staff, good food and top notch service. No dislikes. We already plan to return in December :)
- Violet (8/5): Great location and friendly helpful staff - It is located in a very convenient area, which is close to everything, within walking distance. Well decorated, and clean rooms. The staff were very nice, friendly and all spoke good English, and if you need directions, recommendations, or have any questions, they are very willing to help you with it.
- Priti (8/5): Nearly perfect - Breakfast was not so rich, but quite enough for what we needed. We could not ask for more. The staff at the front desk were very nice and polite enough to answer all our questions. Room was quite good, but the only thing that bothered us was the tap in the bathroom which was leaking all night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not book this hotel. Shady business practice. - We booked this hotel for a night and what a disaster it was. We booked a room well before we arrived based on the pictures shown on Expedia. when we got there, they couldn't find out booking even after we showed them print out of Expedia confirmation. After about 15 minutes and multiple phone calls they to God knows where, we finally got a room.
They gave us a room on the back side of the hotel where construction was going on and the room looked like it was used for their hotel workers. We couldn't close the windows because they were broken and there was so much noise from the street. Bathroom was dirty and shower head was broken so they told us to use a bucket to take shower. Linen on the bed were dirty. We were tired after a long day outing and all we wanted was a good night rest but didn't expect this.
After several complains to the reception around 11:30 pm they told us they can move us to a different room. The new room was like the ones they show in the picture. What we didn't like is they had all these empty rooms yet they gave us a dirty, nasty room. I think they save the good rooms for emergency. The staff at reception requested us that we give them 5 star review on Expedia because they took care of us. Are you kidding me.
Worst experience ever. Please do not go to this place.
- Emma (6/5): comfortable stay - comfortable for one night
- Syed (10/5): Most honest staff & convenient location
- Was a perfect hotel for us as we only had one day in Agra and got to visit the taj mahal, agra fort etc only in a single day .. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and outgoing. I was very impressed from their honesty, when I forgot my cell phone in the reception area at the time of check-in and they came to give me back my cell phone, it was a really great touch and totally unexpected.
- Yasmin (8/5): My best visit yet
- This is my first visit to Agra with my family, and my best visit yet. The service was outstanding - right from check-in to check-out. Standard of the hotel facilities was great and the room, restaurant and staff were all excellent. Location is very good and convenient. All sites are nearby.
- Jochen (10/5): Good location . Nice staff
- Totally loved the fact that it is near to the all the city attractions, including the Taj Mahal. Our room was on the top floor and was clean, functional and of a decent size. The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit dated and small. On arrival our room air conditioner was not so good in cooling, but after a few minutes everything was fine. Hotel staff were always extremely helpful, and willing to help with a genuine smile.
- Maria (8/5): Good value, nice accommodation - Staff extremely helpful and courteous. Registration and check-out was done quickly without any problems. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient. The restaurant was very nice and the food was great.
- carlo (8/5): Great place, will be back soon - Close to everything, including the train station and the taj Mahal ... Clean and comfortable beds and rooms. The only problem we had is that the air conditioning in the room did not work properly at night, but after complaining they fixed it as soon as possible. Very happy overall and will be back soon.
- Marco (6/5): Nice hotel within walking distance the TajMahal - Reasonably priced hotel, the pictures look better than in person, the shower in the bathroom gets everything wet.
At the restaurant we waited a long time for a "non-spicy" pizza that was too spicey which my wife could not eat.
For a fee, the hotel manager was able to book my train tickets and taxi cab to the train station.
- Shawk (8/5): Good for short stay - Decor of the hotel was pleasant and modern. The service was very good as was the room. Obviously, the location cannot be any better. Very near to all the historical sites. Staff all nice.
- Narayan (8/5): Good first visit to Agra - Reception staff were generally very efficient and most were friendly. The location is good, many sites are within walking distance. The food was excellent and our room was great, kept immaculately clean and furnished to a very good standard.
- George (10/5): Very accommodating and clean
- Stayed here few days back and found that the hotel was very accommodating and clean. The rooftop was good and it has an amazing view of the Taj mahal. All staff were impeccable and spoke great English.
- Sunil (8/5): Budget friendly hotel
- Budget friendly hotel and we have found it to be a good choice for families, the staff was very attentive and courteous. The room was quite large and clean and the food was very good. The hotel is located right next to the Taj Mahal and a short walk to a great cafe (CCD).
- Douglas (8/5): In short, outstanding stay
- Just perfect for a short city break. Spotless rooms, nice service, friendly staff, and good amenities make it an exceptional place to be. Location of the hotel was great, very near to the Taj. In short, outstanding stay.
- Yashant (10/5): Great location, service and value
- Hotel has a wonderful location that allows you to walk around the area. The room was well furnished and they have all the amenities you need - mirror, shower, kettle, WiFi, chairs, etc. Breakfast was good with lots of choices and freshly cooked. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were exceptional. We highly recommend this hotel for its location, service and value.
- Jorge (10/5): Perfect location and attentive staff
- Location of the hotel is perfect, especially if you come to Agra for the first time, because all the famous parts / sites are in the city on walking distance. The hotel staff was incredibly warm, attentive, helpful and made your stay a good one.
- laurent (8/5): Great situation, best food - The food was the best we have had at any budget hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is right in the heart of the city, very close to everything. Hotel building looked very old from the outside but from the inside it looks good and all the decor was simple but nice. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Agra.
- Vdrew (6/5): Good hotel but needs renovation
- Excellent location for all tourist sites within the city. Everything was easily within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. The room has a very cozy atmosphere and was very comfortable. A little disappointed by the broken basin and the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work.
- Mario (6/5): Mosquitos and smeell - Very friendly staff but had to change the room 3 times because of the conditions there: smell, mosquitos, flies. The staff did their best but still wasn't enough to compensate for the quality of the rooms.
- Grahame (8/5): Very close to the Taj - It was so close to the Taj East Gate that we walked with our guide. The hotel staff and owner were extremely helpful and the only disappointment we had was the lack of hot or even warm water and the power-points were bordering on dangerous.
- Wang (8/5): Place we will certainly return to !!
- The staff was friendly and we found the rooms were lovely and welcoming. The location allows easy walking access to many popular sites. The included breakfast was a delight, and the value was really amazing.
- Ailbhe (8/5): Great position, sweet and kind staff - Hotel located in a great position and accessible to most of the attractions of the city. Everyone at the hotel was very sweet and kind, they strive to give you a great experience. I can not wait to come back here.
- Debashis (8/5): Good price and convenient for short stay - Quick feedback for the hotel management: please install shower curtains or shower stalls. Otherwise, the entire bathroom floor area gets too slippery after showering. It. It could lead to accidents.
- Josefa (10/5): Well placed property
- Well placed property for all the city sites. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and any requests made by us were swiftly taken care of. Room was clean and bathroom was fine. Will definitely stay here again next visit to Agra.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Budget hotel, however still not well maintained based on the cost of the room. Breakfast is not worth it.
- Sacha (8/5): Out the door to the Taj Mahal - All the other hotels in this area are really expensive fancy places. This hotel not being part of any chain, is great value for money. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The food is brilliant. The room itself is average, but for the price, acceptable.
- BEE LIAN (4/5): - Strong odour, old towels.
- Michael (4/5): Convenient to the Taj ... BUT many disadvantages! - We booked two separate rooms, but on check in there was only a family room available. The bedding was damp making for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The only window in the room was frosted and broken. The lights next to the bed were broken and hanging off the wall. The door to the wardrobe was broken and unusable. The heating in the room was not working. The walls in the bathroom were filthy and there was no hot water in the evening. There was constant noise of building work (drilling, hammering and sawing) throughout our first night's stay. On reporting this to the reception in the morning we were told it must have been the chef preparing food in the kitchen! On further investigation, we discovered that the pipework on the roof of an adjacent building was being replaced ... why this had to be done in the middle of the night beats me! The hotel's one saving grace is that the chef can prepare a decent curry. However, our meal in the restaurant was marred by a mouse running across the room!
- Alex (10/5): Very comfortable stay !!
- Bedroom was large and well designed to offer a very comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and always take the initial to offer any kind of help or assistance. Hotel restaurant was very nice and the food is a must try.
- Joe (10/5): Simply a great place to stay
- For a couple of days with family or friends this is simply a great place to stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and cooperative, and the main advantage is, this hotel is very close to the main train station and the Taj Mahal.
- Silvia (8/5): Definitely an excellent 3 star hotel
- Definitely an excellent 3 star hotel in this city. If you want a great hotel near the Taj Mahal, we recommend 'Tara Palace' for your stay. It was just great for this purpose and we can not wait to return. Hotel room was simply nice and the staff from the hotel manager to the front desk to the housekeeper, were so hospitable and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Could be better - Unfortunately I had a very poor experience here. The room had smoke coming through the window which would not fully close, the toilet and bathroom were not well cleaned and the sheets were dirty. When we asked to move to a new room they were very quick to get us a new space which was great. The new room was more updated but had old rice on the table, dirty sheets and the toilet would not flush. The good thing is that the pizza was very good. I just felt that the explaination and photos of the hotel did not match what I received. There are many better hotels in the area.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It was freezing cold, delapidated, no wifi ,power - Lousy had to check out within hours better to leave and find somewhere else.
- Kimberly (8/5): All in all nice stay
- Room was well designed, all the plugs, the switches were in the right places and the WiFi was very fast and reliable. The staff throughout the hotel were very warm and friendly. They went out of their way to satisfy all requests.
- jimmy (2/5): Avoid it avoid it avoid it - Worst hotel i ever stayed in..bathroom was dirty. Asked 300 extra for heater even though air conditioning was included in the bookings. U need to pay extra for parking, beds were small with dirty sheets.ever coming back..
- Manish (4/5): Wet towels, dirty linen, poor front desk - Checked in later in evening at the hotel for a one night stay and was utterly disappointed when I realized that there were not fresh towels in bathroom. Couldn't call reception as the PABX system were down so had to call their main number to be told that due to "weather" towels were not dried. Check in at the reception was very cold. Didn't feel welcomed at all when asking for parking spots or directions. Bedsheets and pillows had stains on them.
- lindsay (2/5): Damp and smelly rooms. - Convenient location was the only positive. Otherwise, the room and hotel was unclean, and had a general bad odor. The linens were damp and moldy. The hotel staff was neither knowledgable or helpful. Terrible experience!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location for visiting Taj - Nice place, clean and comfortable. We had a family of four, and got a room with 4 beds. Nice clean toilet in room. Location was wonderful and felt very safe for wandering around even after dark.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The hotel was a terrible one. - The hotel was really bad. They charge extra to provide basic necessities. The bed sheets were stinking. Even the towels provided by hotel were stained and dirty.
- trini visitor (2/5): Place is a dump. - Place is an absolute dump. Bathroom cold, dated and dirty.
Had plumbing issue and still waiting for someone to arive.
Booked with complimentary breakfast which was acknowledged at check in, but had to haggle with staff when time for breakfast as they insisted on charging me! Had I not been firm, they will try to scam you.
No breakfast at the stated time and had to wait at least half hr. Terrible service.
- Jacob (8/5): Can not wait to return
- My family and I had a great time at this hotel and can not wait to return. The location is excellent for walking to all the nearby attractions. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and the restaurant staff was very attentive.

- James (10/5): A pleasant stay
- I stayed at Hotel Tara Palace for only one day, the hotel was very comforting and the staff was very helpful. Room service was up to the mark. Nice location and easy access to the train station and the market. In short, the stay was pleasant and the services requested were provided instantly.
- Teija (8/5): Perfect place to stay
- We stayed here for just one night and found it to be the perfect place to stay. Hotel staff were really great and everything in this hotel looks so good. Room was excellent and the beds were possibly the best in a hotel we have ever experienced. We also loved the hotel restaurant which serves good quality drinks and food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 10 mins walk to Taj Mahal east gate - Free Wi-Fi for any number of devices.
No elevator.
The hotel is quite old but the room is still in good condition and clean.
Food is OK with cheap price.
There is Ola cab not far that you can call.
- Bogdan (8/5): An amazing relaxing stay

- Gregory (8/5): Great Place!! - Highly recommend this hotel! Staff were extremely helpful when it came to everything we needed! Food was delicious and the location could not have been better for walking to visit the Taj Mahal. Also spacious room/bathroom and fast wifi.
- Marianna (8/5): Nice place - Ok
- David (8/5): LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! - Great location, walk to Taj Mahal. Nice staff. Room was just ok, bathroom not glamorous at all. Restaurant has great food!
- Matthew (10/5): I loved it and will return soon
- Excellent location for the sightseeing since all the major attractions of the city are within an easy walk away. Room was really lovely, clean and the attentiveness of the staff was second to none.
- Thomas (10/5): Top notch staff & perfect location
- Hotel staff was top notch and so nice and helpful. Location is absolutely perfect: within walking distance of the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The room was good and the air conditioning was very efficient and the shower was excellent.
- Ken (2/5): It's a scam! They don't give what you booked! - We booked this hotel and when we arrived the told us our rooms were not ready until the next day! They showed us to 'staff' rooms that's were disgustingly filthy and very unsafe, no locks, the doors had been kicked in and nothing like the photos! They were rude and unfriendly and most unhelpful so we had to find another hotel in the area! NOT HAPPY! Hotels.com have not responded to our request for a refund!
