- Yvonne (4/5): Schöne Stadt, enttäuschendes Appartement - Die Lage nahe der Altstadt und der Blick über das Marmarameer/ den Bosporus. Das Appartement (Pfeil auf dem Foto) befand sich in einem Nebengebäude an einer Baustelle ca. 300 m vom eigentlichen Hotel entfernt. Die Sauberkeit der Bettwäsche und des Bades war nicht ausreichend. Es war kalt, die Heizung im Zimmer funktionierte nur einen Tag, danach liess sie sich trotz mehrmaliger Bitte um Reparatur nicht "wiederbeleben". Die Tür zum Balkon Richtung blaue Moschee ging nicht zu öffnen, so dass nur 1 Balkon zur Verfügung stand. Wir hatten das Gefühl, diese Probleme existieren schon lange und werden einfach ausgesessen. Daran änderte auch die Freundlichkeit des Rezeptionisten nichts. Wir waren enttäuscht.

They changed my room, gave me the room right where the kitchen is, the bathroom was faulty, the breakfast was ridiculous - it's not a buffet, it's cold food they make in advance just sitting around on plates, it was not clean, the staff were not trained as most were young. Despite the staff knowing all these issues and me reporting to Booking.com, the offered no refund or compensation. No shame or decorum at all.

Overall, a place I would recommend for a short stay in Istanbul. The room was quite small and a bit noisy, and breakfast was rather simple.

- D (8/5): MAGICAL - The accommodation was very well located - little supermarkets and restaurants very close by. ALL the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly - thank you Suna and others (I forget your colleagues names - sorry) - for all the wapps and fixing issues as they arose. It was so amazing, when we needed time out, to sit on our two patios watching the Bosphorus on one side and the Blue Mosque on the other side. Bed was extremely comfortable. Was lovely to have a kettle and fridge in room. Really was ideal accommodation for my husband and myself - just note that you have steps to climb up to apartment as lift does not go all the way up on our first night we were confused by the bedding - but that got sorted out. Had to ask for toilet paper quite often but it was given - otherwise not much else that we did not like -

- Lucinda (3/5): Tourist trap - TOURIST TRAP!!! when we arrived, the receptionist told us he has surprise for us (I got excited, because it was my birthday), but the surprise was that they don't have for us penthouse woth two balconies we booked and paid and said it's because some troubles with goverment. Bullshit, I found in reviews then somebody was in our penthouse (review from 25.9., we arrived 24.9.) and gave us a room without balcony in the main building, it was pretty noisy, you can hear anything and also pretty dirty. Hair in the bed, mold in very stinky old bathroom, definitelly nobody ever washed the shower door, or even the tiles around the toilet 🤢. Was about to find different accomodation, but found out, booking doesn't work when you are already in Turkey 😮 so stayed there. Location is perfect, staff trying to be super nice, when I complained about our room, they offered free breakfast, but it was cold egg, fries and not good looking salami and only already made black tee. Nothing for us. Be carefull, don't get trapped as well 😔 if it was true, they should send me e-mail in advance about room changes and not to tell me when we arrived...

- Rahme (1/5): pas pour famille en vacances. - Les personnels ont essayer de changer la chambre pour que je sens avec ma famille plus comfortable - malgré que cela n’a pas aidé mais au moins ils ont essayé J'ai ajouté le suivant après lire la réponse de propriétaire: les tables de terrasse étaient sales, et on ne voie pas la mer directement, le vue de la mer est très loin, la largeur de terrasse est très étroite, pour cela j'ai dis étoufante. de plus si vos clients sont satisfais pourquoi ils ont laissé des commentaire négatif sur google map et ici? votre taverne n'a pas de qualité, les matélats ont de punaises, les oreillers ont une odeur et des taches et les chambres sont très petit comparant les aux photo; et les AC ne marchent pas, on a changé les chambres et le deuxième jours on a quitté l'hôtel pour séjourner dans un autre. et les toilettes de la moisissure et j'ai des photos. L’information sur le site est tout à fait différente du réel. Ce n’est pas une place pour famille durant vacance. On peut dire que c’est une place pas chère pour 1 nuit de logement quand une personne a un travail à faire dans Istanbul et ne veut pas payer beaucoup pour le logement même cette personne n’a pas besoin de prendre un bain. De plus l’hôtel est très fière du terrasse où ils servent la petite déjeuner, c’est un terrasse au dernier étage sans ascenseur et un environnement humide étouffant.

- Lubna Nawressy (6/5): - Très déçue de mon séjour. La salle de bain était pleine de moisissures, alors qu’il existe des produits peu coûteux pour les enlever. L’état était tellement mauvais que mes enfants ne voulaient pas utiliser la salle de bain : mon fils pensait qu’il y avait des bêtes, ce qui a été assez traumatisant pour lui. Les meubles étaient en très mauvais état, les oreillers tachés, et il y avait de la poussière partout (sur et sous les meubles). Nous avions payé pour une chambre avec vue sur mer, mais des travaux avec échafaudages gâchaient complètement la vue. À l’arrivée, la chambre n’était pas prête, nous avons attendu plus d’une heure. Contrairement aux photos, il n’y avait pas les petites attentions promises : ni thé, ni café, ni bouteilles d’eau. Les produits de toilette étaient insuffisants (un peu de shampoing seulement, pas de gel douche). Le seul vrai point positif reste l’emplacement, proche de la Mosquée Bleue, ainsi que le jeune homme à la réception, toujours très sympathique et serviable. Il nous a beaucoup aidés dès que nous avions besoin d’informations ou de petits services (stylo, pèse valises, etc.). En résumé, l’hôtel a du potentiel, mais il est très mal entretenu et donne l’impression que les propriétaires ne se soucient pas du confort des clients.

Io ho preso una stanza economy quindi particolarmente spartana, ma comunque provvista di tutti i comfort: phon, bagno privato, prese vicino al letto, materasso comodo, armadio, aria condizionata che non dà fastidio. Ho viaggiato in moto e la zona è comoda per parcheggiare vicino. Lo staff molto gentile per qualsiasi richiesta cerca di aiutarvi. In bagno manca un posto dove appendere gli asciugamani, ma ho chiesto qualche griccia in più e mi sono arrangiato. Io ve lo consiglio.

Sea view. no room service , The air con didn't work for one day and the tv wasn't working. for five days nobody changed the bed sheets and cleaned the room.The annex is not suitable for children.

Le personnel est très agréable et les chambres tout à fait correctes. Un merci tout particulier à Suna pour sa bienveillance et sa gentillesse. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! 😍

I booked 3 rooms for family members including 2 teenage children and one was in an advertised annexe building. My definition of an annexe is on the same property- the annexed building was 5 minutes walk away in another street.

Also the staff in general was nice 👍 They allowed us to leave the baggage at them even after checkout because the plane was at a later hour. I wouldn't have high hopes for the breakfast option. - Mireya (9/5): Great location, amazing service and room value for money. - The welcoming service by the young guy in glasses was exceptional, he assisted my mum and I in everything and was able to answer any queries we had with either our room or visiting points / locations and recommendations. As well as organising tours for us and transport to the airport. Amazing service, and the hotel was in a perfect location - all staff was friendly too and room was certainly value for money. The bathroom, could do with an upgrade and deep clean. While on stay the bathroom was not cleaned so we had to asked for it to be clean as there was also a small from the drain, but it was not much fuss as we were not in the room often and it was sufficient to shower / get ready for the day to tour.

Hardly need to use public transport The apartment provided was two streets away from the hotel beside a derelict site - so technically not the Sur Hotel Payment demanded up front before I saw the room It was a fairly grim experience overall The balcony was on top of the rail line and festooned with barbed wire . The kitchen was the bare minimum - a two plate plug in cooker and short of basic kitchen supplies Not clean. Ants visible. Would not consider again.

- april (4/5): - The property was an average room for the price. At first glance, everything looked OK but then we realized that there was a major ant infestation. We told the front desk and they didn’t seem to do anything about it. The next day due to an extreme amount of ants, I had to clean up the floor and then realized how disgusting and dirty. The floor was. Meanwhile, I asked them the day before to please do something about the ant infestation and to please sweep and mop the room because the floors were disgusting when we went in. That was not obviously done because when I went to clean the floors, they were black and disgusting.. We told the front desk and they didn’t seem to Really care. For booking a four person and one room it was very tiny. It was also disappointing that we had to carry our luggage ourselves from the hotel down the street to another location after a 12 hour flight.

Les ports claqués et c’est fermé pas bien, on attend des voisins parler et passage du train en prime pour réveil à 6h matin, coin salon n’est pas séparer. Salle des bains l’année 80, pression duché très faible. Point fort personnel sympas, proximité du centre.

Hotel has massive amount of mould that is unsafe to breath and also bugs crawls up the wall. When we show them the bugs we were told we brought the bug from Canada to frame them as bad hotel we were insulated and were called lier.

- Andrea (8/5): A hiidden gem! - The apartment, although on the small side, was clean and comfortable. An added bonus was two balconies either side, one overlooking a lovely sea view and the other looking at the Blue Mosque (very close). There was a private lift that would have opened straight into the room but unfortunately they had lost the keys to it apparently. No real problem as there was only a short flight of stairs from the 2nd floor lift. The location is ideal, close to the main centre (about 5-10 min walk) but a very quiet area. No local shops as such but there are little supermarkets just off the main square. They have a 24 hour reception in the next street which while we were there was operated by a delightful lady (I forgot to ask her name - sorry!). I'd highly recommend this place for your visit.
