Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dont book!! - This hotel is closed down.
Dont book this.
- Eduardo C. (2/5): Scam - After flying for 20 h, I arrived to this place to find nobody except for clouds of hungry mosquitos. I called, ringed the doorbell and waited for two hours until the mosquitos and the sun were unbearable. We went with my 80 plus y/o parents and my 10 y/o daughter to a hotel and as you can imagine, finding a hotel in Rome in the middle of the summer without reservation is not easy. We end up in a cheap hotel after paying the taxi 50 euros for taking us hotel hunting. I went back to villa magnolia relais for three consecutive days to find the same scenario. Nobody answer the door or the phone. I called homeaway to get my money back ($1510) and although I paid through the secure payment option homeaway has not refunded my money.
- Henry (8/5): - Wonderful boutique hotel with the comforts of home with its lovely garden. The breakfast was fabulous and always so fresh and we were well attended to. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for all that was stated but also for it’s close proximity to the Vatican.
- salvatore (10/5): Tranquillità ed eleganza a due passi dal centro - Ottima accoglienza, ci hanno offerto the e caffè all arrivo. Camera spaziosa e silenzio e, colazione ottima, buon rapporto qualità, prezzo
- Fadi (10/5): Great customer service - The place is gorgeous!
Once we arrived we learnt that's unfortunately our room wasn't not available due toprevipid guests breaking the lights. Thankfully the je amazing staff hadn't already provided us with a booking at another 4 star hotel and a taxi to get there !
- karen (10/5): Nice hotel, very worthwhile. - Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Great villa in lovely location. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rome. Made us very welcome.
- Urfan (10/5): - The front staff is excellent.
- Eyal (10/5): - There are big rooms at the front side of the Hotel and smaller ones at the back.
I you care for WiFi reception ask for room at the back of the Hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tolles Hotel, zentral gelegen - Sehr freundliches Personal, gemütliche, landestypische Zimmer
- Mark (10/5): Superb location and beautiful accomodation - So many hotels to choose from and all I can say arrived in paradise. Would always return
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sante was an excellent host. - He will go out of his way to help educate you about Rome and where to go. jeff
- Jim (10/5): Excellence in Rome - We were very pleased with this very nicely kept villa in a secluded area near the Vatican. Our host was extremely helpful and went out of his way in assisting us in every manner. We enjoyed a quiet comfortable stay. Our main regret is we were so busy with tours all three days we were there we had little time to relax at this very nice setting. If we get the chance to go back to Rome, we would definitely stay here again.
- Karen H (10/5): A Romantic Roman Holiday - My husband and I recently spent 3 wonderful nights at this beautiful and romantic small hotel/bed and breakfast. The grounds were gorgeous (like a secret garden), the room quiet, comfortable and charming, breakfasts delicious, location wonderful--incredibly close to the Vatican and Travestere (restaurants), and our hosts friendly and extremely helpful. The owner, Sante, helped us buy tour tickets online, gave us invaluable sight-seeing information and directions, arranged transportation to the airport for an incredibly early morning flight, and even cooked us a "pasta of the day" dinner on our last night.) It was a truly delightful experience! Would we stay there again? Absolutely yes!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good but overpriced - Very nice property and staff friendly when we saw them. However, need to change their pillows as not good standard and was difficult to sleep. Also a lot of noise from traffic. No iron & ironing board facility which is ok if you are staying a few nights however should be available to guests without charge for ironing service for longer stays. Should offer advice on local restaurants when checking in and also leave torch in each room as the road to the villa is not well lit and there is no footpath. Not a good location unless you like to walk or take taxis.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Villa Mangolia Relais - This was a beautiful villa in the Giancarlo section of Rome very near Travestre and the beautiful sights of Rome. Comfortable room and gracious host & hostess as well as staff who were always accomadating. Would definitly recommend a nice quiet stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommended! - We had a super stay in Rome thanks to Villa Magnolia. I took my boyfriend there for his 30th and we had an amazing time. Granted the steep hill home was not the best part of the day, but it didn't take long before reaching this Roman oasis. It was romantic, secluded, and elegant. Breakfast was such a morning treat, I loved the beautiful decor, great coffee and tart of the day with the birds tweeting in the background. We would come here again and certainly recommend it for anyone who is not afraid of hills.
- Anders (10/5): Oasis with garden - After a long hot day touristing in Rome, it is a true blessing to come back to this wonderful place. If you don't have to stay smack dab centre, we can really recommend it. Very calm, large garden, relaxing and cool. Rooms are top notch, very fine breakfast and most helpful staff & owners. Ten minutes walk to the bus 64 which brings you to the very centre of Rome (passing by the Vatican en route). 15 minutes downhill to Trastevere. The only thing we could wish for was a pool. We were here during five really warm days in late September, and will not hesitate to come back to the Villa.
