• Eleanor Rose (8/5): Stunning hotel and wonderful staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. - Lovely hotel in a great Oltrarno location, in Santo Spirito. I enjoyed its understated, sophisticated feel in the morning. Amazing views onto the duomo from our room and great staff. The hotel roof terrace bar is very popular (for good reason) and open to the public. It made the hotel a little too crowded for my liking in the afternoons and evenings.

• Joanne (10/5): A wonderful find, stay there if you can. - The hotel was set over the river and it was an easy walk across the bridge to the main sights. Breakfast was good as was the evening drink on the balcony overlooking the square. The lift is small but functional & there was no noise in my room which was right beside the reception area. Bed was comfortable and my room was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole stay was wonderful. Nothing

• Lorenzo (10/5): True authentic charming and priceless place to feel at home in Florence - Lovely! True authentic bonfires but true to how real Florence palazzos are. This is not a made up or refurbished to be slick hotel. This is a real true honest place that reflect Florence in and out: from the furniture, to the tiles of the floor or bathroom, all is 100% Florence as it was, is abd should be. Ok…you will miss the touch screen room automation of the wall integrated flat screens…but you can get that in New York. This is an authentic place full of character, with a delightful breakfast and a stunning terrace for drinks at night. It is Florence at its best…and staff makes it even better, with a personal family feel service! Nice to see them remember us by name, ask how the day went, be true kind and caring staff, not employees. Nothing - it is perfect

Det är charmigt och vackert på ett stilfullt sätt. Rummet vi bokade var De luxe, men utsikten var mot gården, det var mörkt och med ett litet badrum. Väldigt lyhört. Se upp med rum nummer 10, boka inte det om möjligt. Det gick inte att byta tyvärr, när vi frågade första dagen. På så sätt var det absolut inte prisvärt. Sedan lades det mycket arbete på serveringen på terrassen för allmänheten. Det blev något stressigt, kändes som att man var i vägen som hotellgäst.

• FoodWineFunSF (10/5): Beautiful Hotel and Friendly Staff. - Look no further. This is the place.It is truly sublime. I stayed for four nights and found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is excellent: situated on a quiet plaza with great bars, restaurants, and a Sunday farmers market. There aren't the heavy tourist crowds and chain stores of the center.  The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. I was travling alone and I'm always worried I will be put in a closet type or less desirable room. Quite the opposite here, I was given an exceptional room with lovely views.  The only drawback was that there is no discount for single occupants, and I was required to pay for two breakfasts each morning at approximately 30-40 euros each and I'm not a big breakfast eater/ The quality of the room and the overall experience made the extra cost worth it. I particularly enjoyed the terrace, the delicious cocktails, and relaxing in the bathtub after long days of  sightseeing. There was a little street noise, especially on Saturday night but it didn't bother me. I cannot recommend this place enough.

• 888johnny (8/5): Beautiful old palace, but not very convenient - The hotel is a beautiful old palace right next to a nice quiet piazza, with big hotel rooms. The location is amazing being quite calm but still very close to all the major sights. Our room was right next to the rooftop bar, but there was only a very slight disturbance from the bar and it closes at 23 so it wasn't a big deal. Unfortunately on a pretty evening all the tables at the bar were full so even the hotel guests couldn't get a table, which was a bit annoying. The breakfast was very good considering it's a continental breakfast and the views from the breakfast table were amazing. The personnel were also really nice. The only downside was that the hotel reception and the rooms were on the 4th floor with only a small elevator, which got crowded often. Also the rooms were quite noisy. The view from the room was very nice over the rooftops of Florence. Would've given 5 stars but the price was a bit too high. We paid 300 euros per night and it was the off season. The facilities were not quite up to the high price

• Joanne (9/5): A perfect winter break in the Oltrarno in our favourite square. - The location is perfect - we love being in the Oltrarno and on Piazza Santo Spirito. We enjoyed the view from our room of the Pitti Palace. We also liked the overall ambience and feel of the hotel - the opposite of being in a chain hotel. The renovation has been sympathetically done with lovely soft colours - and of course the Loggia! We will definitely be coming back. An armchair or two in our room would have been nice.

Breakfast was delicious and staff were awesome. Not much bad to say. Only thing would have been nice is to have a desk, sitting area in the room with all the space for people traveling for work.

• Susan (10/5): I can’t wait to return. - It was breathtaking— the view of Florence from our window made me gasp and stop to savor it. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable, with good reading chairs. The location was superb— a shirt walk from plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and wine cars. A short walk to all main attractions. Extremely warm and kind staff.
• Catherine (10/5): A truly memorable stay in a special hotel. Would love to return one day. - The ambience and location of this hotel were exceptional. Fantastic views from the wonderful loggia and understated and tasteful rooms with lofty ceilings. The layout and architecture of this historic building was so interesting and it somehow encapsulated our experience of the city. I could have happily spent many more hours on the terrace, or browsing the market stalls in the square below. No plastic to be found, and a delicious healthy breakfast with warm options. Loved reading the books left in the rooms by previous guests. We live in a Victorian house with high ceilings and were very comfortable, but it was exceptionally cold in Florence during our January visit (near zero) and we did notice some American guests wearing their coats at breakfast.

• de Mos (9/5): Onvergetelijk verblijf in stijl in het mooie Florence - Prachtig rooftop hotel (met terras) in het centrum, geslapen in stijlvolle kamer met uitzicht over Florence. Luxe ontbijt in stijl. De receptie is uiterst vriendelijk en valet parking is heel prettig. Er was geen aparte douche en het raampje in de badkamer kon niet open. De weg naar het hotel had wat uitdagingen en je moet niet claustrofobisch zijn voor kleine liften. Anders flink wat trappen lopen om bij de receptie te komen.

• 447iaint (10/5): Wonderful place - For us, Palazzo Guadagni is a very special place. We have stayed there many times in the last 10 years, usually for a 2-week stretch. We were there in Sept/Oct this year, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff could not have been more kind or more welcoming. There were flowers when we arrived and a bottle of their own Negroni - all of this was immensely kind and greatly appreciated. We are aware that the dynamics have changed. It is an historic building (built c1500) with a small number of large bedrooms. Instagram has made their stunning Loggia popular - that is understandable and commercially sensible. If ever we wanted a table, we simply asked and we were well looked after. Breakfast is plentiful and outstanding and a time when one can linger and enjoy the views. We always asked for Room 7 with its spectacular view of the Palazzo Pitti. It faces away from the square and is a large room and very quiet. We won’t go back - we are old now and less mobile, but we wholeheartedly recommend it as a very special place.

• marthao316 (6/5): We wouldn't go back. - The room that we were given was not welcoming. It had a musty smell and dust under the furniture and near the walls was visible. The bathroom was clean. The room did not look like the advertised ones. No art on the wall, a simple curtain and poor dull lighting in the bathroom area. We had asked fir a view and a nice room since we were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary. The view was roof tops. There was no acknowledgment of our special event. The bed was comfortable though the mattress was on a board which had rough pieces of wood that snagged my pants when I sat on the bed. The air conditioner stopped working on our last night and nothing could be done till we left. The people at the breakfast service were very good as were the staff on the balcony food service in the evening. Most front desk were kind and friendly with the exception of one woman who was there in the mornings. On a cloudy day I asked if we should take an umbrella and her reply was how am I supposed to know, I don't have time to check the weather. We needed a ride to another city at check out and we were given an phone number from the internet that didn't work. They did not seem to have services that they knew and trusted to be able to help us out. The location was great and the cleaning staff solved a light that blinked and one that did work and helped us with our bags when the front desk was slow to respond. This was a very spotty experience and left us feeling that we would not go back again. We stayed 4 nights and it was not value for the money we spent.

Roof top patio is rated top 5 in Florence which we got to enjoy every morning with breakfast. The staff and team held spots for hotel guests for peak times for cocktail hours at night. Restaurant recommendations were personal and fantastic. We enjoyed one of the best steak dinners that didn’t break the bank. Family room was large and had a separate area for the kids. Fresco on the roof just adds that you are in Florence. A “palazzo” in Italian literally means “palace”, but in practice it usually refers to a grand, historic building, often from the Renaissance. In Florence (and much of Italy). 100% would stay again.

Le parking annoncé comme privé de l’hôtel est en fait un sous traitant payant, le service était bon mais il aurait été bien de le préciser avant (ainsi que le prix: 30€/jour)

• Kristine (9/5): Alter Palazzo mit toller Ausicht über den Dächern von Florenz. - Perfekter Blick über Florenz , Zimmer ordentlich und für 2 Tage alles bestens. Unglaulich schöne Terrasse mit einen sehr guten freundlich , netten und aufmerksamen Service. Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang sind - Profis ! Haben bei dem großen Zulauf an Besuchern für die * Roof - Bar * alles im Blick ! Ein klein bisschen müsste man das Frühstück besser gestalten , aber es war alles da und man wird freundlich berdient. Im allgemeinen würde ich aus persönlicher Sicht dem Hotel ein kleines Update ans Herz legen . Nach dem Motto + Alte Pracht mit etwas mehr neuen Design. Aber wie gesagt das ist alles Geschmacksache.Würde schon wegen der Lage immer wieder dort buchen !
