The breakfast was delicious, rooms were comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was very close to Dubai airport, we rented a car and everywhere in Dubai was approximately 20 minutes apart to this hotel. I recommend to stay.

The structure is in line with the Holiday Inn Express brand, offering simple but functional rooms, a decent breakfast and a basic buffet for lunch and dinner, with also the option of an alternative pub/restaurant. Staff is OK even though there is a fairly rigid approach and any request that is not usual is simply rejected, without trying to satisfy the customers.

Pretty average furniture in the room. Breakfast was pretty awful too. No Indian food option and even english breakfast options were average. Masala tea looked like a boiled milk with some tea added. Overall, pathetic experience. Will henceforth keep holiday inn express as a least preferred option.

When we don't know how to extend the free stay(Because the background of this trip is quite special. We were stranded for some special reasons.) But with her help, all the problems have been solved!!!🫶🏻 I am particularly satisfied with the housing experience this time. If there is a next time, I will choose here without hesitation!

- panomania (6/5): Booked a king but got a twin as no kings available. - I booked a king room and also put in a request if possible for an airport view. What I got was a twin room with an internal view. I asked to get a king room as that’s what I booked but was told that was the only room they had left. There was no plugs near the bed and there was only 1 plug the other side of the room. We had an early flight and needed to catch the 5am shuttle, so was going to miss the included breakfast. I asked was there anywhere even to get a takeaway cup of tea and was told no. Here’s a suggestion, just for guest leaving between 4am and breakfast starting have a section to have a takeaway tea or coffee. We’re missing out on breakfast so surely a takeaway drink would make up for that. On the whole it served its purpose. I’d suggest if someone books a certain type of room then that’s what they are allocated. As a IHG member I felt let down.

- Vacationer796644 (6/5): Great value for money with free airport and city centre shuttle. - It’s a bit far from the city centre but they have an excellent free shuttle service that runs from the airport, to the Dubai mall and to Deira city centre. The staff is super helpful and quick to respond to questions and requests for help. The elevator lobby on the third floor unfortunately has a horrible smell that is harder to take every time I pass by. The rooms are great and have been well maintained. I would definitely stay here again, it’s worth the cost spent!

- Happiness57514713174 (10/5): A great place to stay in the vicinity of BXB airport - We enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn. The public area and gym was always crowded ( because the athletes and teams of world boxing event were staying in the hotel). That was a bit of inconvenience but I understand that it was an exceptional thing as our dates of stay clashed with those of boxing event. Otherwise, staff was great. Breakfast was wonderful with a lots of options. Zu Zu and her sister plus all the other restaurant team were a great host. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, I would like to bring to management's notice that the Tour and Package guy who sits next to restaurant entrance is a fraud. He charged us heavily for a desert safari, which I paid assuming that it would be top notch. However, the guy who took us to the desert safari took us to a half built camp for the food and entertainment part. There were many well organized camps on the way but he choose this camp, probably because it was cheaper and they could earn more profit. The food was cold, I assume it was made in the morning. Next day, I confronted him but he claimed that we were taken to top 4 camps of Dubai. I felt so amused at that guys confidence that he assumes other to be believe whatever nonsense he would say. Anyway, I m just sharing my ordeal here with hotel's management so that you are aware of this scam that might bring bad name to your hotel. Rest it's upto you to decide. Other than that , I had a great time staying at your hotel. Thanks for the pickup and drop off services to the airport.

Despite this, I later found unexpected and unexplained charges on my card. The hotel itself confirmed that no reservation existed under my name, which made the situation even more alarming. This turned what should have been a simple booking into a stressful and time-consuming problem. I contacted support several times, but I did not receive clear answers or effective assistance. For a well-known international hotel brand, this level of confusion and lack of support is unacceptable. The booking system and customer service need serious improvement to protect travelers from similar issues.

A truly outstanding member of the staff. The complimentary shuttle service runs 24/7 and is very frequent, I’ll definitely return here next time I’m in Dubai.

The structure itself feels run-down and poorly maintained. Upon arrival, we were given only one hair towel instead of two, and there were no small face towels at all. Even worse, the shower gel and body lotion dispensers were completely empty at check-in, and the bathroom drain was leaking water. On the first night, despite the hotel clearly not being full, we were placed in a room that was connected to another guest’s room by only a thin internal door. As expected, the noise was unbearable. Our neighbour was speaking loudly on the phone, and after at least five calls to reception asking for help, nothing was done. In the end, at 1 AM, we had to go down to the reception ourselves to pick up another key and move to a different room, carrying all our luggage without any assistance from the staff. Breakfast was another disappointment. On the first day, I asked for a gluten-free breakfast and was told that it needed to be pre-ordered the day before. I placed the request, but the following morning I was informed that nothing had been prepared for me. The overall quality of the breakfast buffet was very poor: almost no fruit, very little variety of international food, tasteless cold cuts and cheese, and coffee that was simply undrinkable. While the staff was polite, they were completely unable to meet even the most basic expectations. Their lack of organization and attention to detail made our stay extremely frustrating. - GrandTour33766136461 (2/5): Terrible experience. Please read before booking. - I had one of the worst experiences ever with IHG and Holiday Inn Express Dubai Airport. I attempted to book through the IHG app, but the booking FAILED and no reservation was created. Despite that, I was charged multiple unauthorized amounts on my card after I returned to Saudi Arabia: • 108 USD • 108 USD • 135 USD (charged on a completely different day) No booking exists on my account. The hotel confirmed they DID NOT charge these amounts. Yet the money was taken by IHG’s system without my approval. I contacted support multiple times. Chat sessions kept closing automatically, agents kept transferring me, and no one provided a solution. This is unacceptable for a global hotel chain. If this is how the system handles failed bookings, then customers’ financial information is not safe. I’m still waiting for a refund for the unauthorized transactions. Be very careful when using the IHG app — your card may be charged even if no booking is created.

- 371mubeenl (2/5): Disaster holiday inn express DXB - My recent 11-night stay at this hotel in November 2025 was a bit of a disaster. I had to switch rooms four times due to various problems. Some red flags to watch out for: - No hot water for showers - it's either warm or cold. - Cockroaches were found in two of the rooms I stayed in. - The bed mattress was old and uncomfortable, giving me back pain. - The shower's liquid soap dispenser was out of order on the first day. - Room service was disappointing. Considering these issues, I'd rate this hotel a maximum of 2 stars. It's lacking in basic amenities.
- mkyni (2/5): AVOID! Better alternatives nearby. - Globally, my worst Holiday Inn Express experience… ever! - Rooms are in extremely poor condition – see my photos. The hotel is renovating rooms (Oct 2025), but slowly, so expect a bad room and possible disruption during your stay.. I was woken by workmen outside my room in the early morning. - Zero/poor recognition for top-tier Platinum/Diamond IHG members. I was not given a renovated room, or indeed even a good room, or a higher floor. In fact, I had to move THREE times so finally find a room which was acceptable and even it was in poor condition!!! - Prior to check-in, for some bizarre reason, this hotel may charge your payment card a higher amount that the cost of your booking. When checking-in, the refund and re-charge process is unnecessary. When queried, the reception team couldn’t explain why they had charged a higher amount than my room rate. - Water temperature fluctuates, so don’t expect a hot shower. Extremely uncomfortable. - The hotel’s online information regarding the airport shuttle is inaccurate and not comprehensive. It should be every thirty minutes, but often runs late. There is a timetable, but the hotel doesn’t provide this information online. Also, there is not a complimentary shuttle to Emirates Metro as stated online, this is completely false. Other airport hotels have more frequent shuttles. It took me over an hour to get from the airport to the hotel. I could easily have travelled into central Dubai in this time, so why stay in an airport hotel?! - I wrote a complaint to the hotel manager, Ahmed Abdel Nabi, but he never replied, even after two emails. I eventually received a reply from a guest service supervisor. This tells you all you need to know about how badly the hotel is managed. AVOID!

- _satulagi66 (6/5): Good 4 Transit ! - An ok transit hotel conveniently close located to the airport. The shuttle service is good and runs twice an hour. It leaves the hotel at the whole and half hour, transit takes 10-15min max. Friendly drivers helping you with your suitcase in a little trailer that the buss pulls. How to get there? Upon arrival take the elevator to departures, exit the terminal and cross the road. On your left is an area where all hotel shuttle busses are waiting. The buss is clearly marked Holliday Inn Express. I stayed two nights on my way to Asia and 2 nights on my return trip. First stay a clean room on the ground floor and a good bed, clean bath room. On the return haul, it was not that good. Matress was worn and the cleanliness of the room poor. Stains on the sofa the bed the wall you name it. Breakfast buffet has a large selection of food that caters for all those that are in transit. Not fantastic but you will live. A selection of tea and good coffee. The hotel has too many positive reviews by single contributors with the one review only. Enjoy your transit and behave in the hotel as if is your own home, as this is clearly what every hotel has to overcome. That includes our behaviour at the breakfast buffet, loading up our plates and then leaving them untouched. If you find the review useful please give me the thumbs up.
- I2315GAchrisc (10/5): Very happy with our stay - Very good location for an early morning flight out. We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Dubai Airport. The room had two single beds which were very comfortable. Our room (12) was on the ground floor and was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great. Everything in the room was clean and well maintained, however, the mini-fridge was not very cold and we didn’t really like the paper coffee cups and plastic cutlery. Room service meals were prompt and very good. The shuttle bus to the airport was on-time and comfortable. Everyone we encountered at Reception was friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel is in a good location with a convenience store nearby.
- Alicia (2/5): - My party reserved a room to be closer to the airport and to rest before taking a late-night flight from Dubai. Upon arrival, I went to the front desk to give my name/passport to begin the check-in process. The lady sighed very loudly and rudely said "I cannot do ANYTHING until I have passports from everyone in your party". This was the start of the unprofessional behavior and tone that we experienced during our short time there. The security overseeing the property was speaking rudely to other patrons as they attempted to get carts and bring in their luggage (the front drive is a very short, narrow, circular drive). Once we got to the room, it was dark and some of the lighting did not work. The room had a musty smell, worn furniture, and the sofa couch had visible stains. We decided to check out of the hotel after less than an hour. We opted to just sit in the airport until it was time for our flight.

Much to our delight the staff was super friendly and professional. The room was on the small side but perfect for our needs. The only complaint was not much hot water. The absolute diamond was the complimentary breakfast buffet. I expected far less and was stunned by the amazing variety of food and beverages. Easily the breakfast would have come at a charge at home but was free. Very near to the airport. Highly recommended and I would stay here again.

- Hodo (2/5): - I stayed on the 4th floor. I had a 20-hour layover, so I thought I would catch some sleep. They were doing construction everywhere, and it only said there was construction on the 3rd floor, but there is no fifth floor above the room I was staying in, and hammer banging above me. Don't stay there. The place looks like it is under construction, good breakfast. I paid 50usd in cash for an early check at 6:45 am and could only actually sleep for four hours. Doesn't look like the Holiday Inn, only the lobby looks nice.
