The location is excellent, right in the tourist center, with everything nearby. Shops are within walking distance, and it’s also easy to reach the lagoon on foot. Taxi service is very quick and convenient, which is a big plus. The breakfasts were delicious, and the presentation of the dishes was very nice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and only positive impressions. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

• Athena53 (10/5): Nice setting, close to everything - This hotel is in a good location, close to all the businesses but very quiet at night. It's also a walkable distance from the bird sanctuary. There’s a small gym on the third floor as well as a small lounge with a shelf of books to borrow. I found the selection of languages interesting- Spanish and English, of course, but also Greek, Estonian, German and (I think) Korean. I had dinner in the restaurant with a fellow traveler. Mine was fine but she saw “Milanese” on the menu, assumed it was chicken Milanese and didn’t read the details. It turned out to be a very large piece of beef, pounded thin and fried, accompanied by French fries. Not what she expected at all. She offered me a piece and it was quite dry. The breakfast buffet was good- not as many fresh fruits as we’d had in the north but that was to be expected. They did have a problem keeping the coffee pots filled when there were two tour groups at breakfast. You may want to bring ear plugs if you have a room facing the street and want to keep your widows open since there's some road noise.

La habitacion si bien estaba bien no asi la insonorizacion, se escuchaba absolutamente TODO del resto de las habitaciones, esto ultimo es lo que me hace dudar de regresar a este hotel. La insonorizacion de las habitaciones.

There was a horrible smell in the room every time we walked in and always had to keep the windows wide open for it to dissipate, but outside was too cold to leave open at night. It seems to nave a rotten/ yucky and very strong smell. The coffee at breakfast was terrible. Not strong enough.

• Diana (10/5): Overall the staff made us feel like it was home - they were just great and went out of their way to help when we had iss - The staff (in particular Francisco) exceeded expectations. When our transport plans went awry, Francisco was a huge support. He stayed calm, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was good and the location excellent. Just far enough away from town to avoid noise but only a few minutes walk away from good restaurants and bars. If I had to pick something I’d say the breakfast was somewhat underwhelming. Not unlike most Argentinian hotel breakfast offerings, there were a lot of sweet pastries and although there was fruit, toast and yoghurt, the bacon and eggs were not the best. But this is a small minus in a lot of pluses.

While we found our room to be a bit too warm, the bed was super comfortable so we had a great night's rest! The bathroom was clean, had good shower pressure and nice toiletries. • TravelDispatch (8/5): Great location and stay! - We stayed for one night as we wrapped up our 15-day Antarctica and Argentinian Patagonia trip. The staff was friendly and helpful and our room (201) was spacious enough with good shower water pressure. Our only gripe was the thin walls / loud talking neighbors and the elevator that seemed like it might due for some maintenance (dropped down a bit upon entry and seemed a bit lethargic to get moving). The location provided easy access to main strip (1 block) and parking seemed plentiful out front (free) and they offer garage parking as well. Overall, a great place to stay when visiting El Calafate.

Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld hat nicht funktioniert. Das Zimmer 113 ist alt, inklusive Teppichboden. Das Bad riecht nach Schimmel. Die WC-Spülung funktioniert schlecht. Es gibt keine Mischarmaturen. Eine Bodylotion wäre wünschenswert, da die Luft extrem trocken ist. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum war unfreundlich. Das Frühstück ist lieblos und der Kaffee wässrig. Der Preis stimmt nicht mit dem Angebot überein.
• SpanishConquistador (9/5): Hotel muy acogedor y bien ubicado, ideal para descansar en El Calafate - La ubicación es excelente, a solo una calle del centro, lo que permite ir caminando a todo y a la vez disfrutar de un ambiente tranquilo y sin ruidos. El hotel es muy acogedor, con un estilo de montaña tipo canadiense que encaja perfectamente con el destino. Las habitaciones son amplias, muy cómodas, con camas excelentes y un baño amplio. El desayuno es muy completo, con productos de calidad, bien presentados, y se sirve en una sala muy luminosa con grandes ventanales. La estancia fue en general muy buena y no hay aspectos destacables a mejorar. Quizá podría reforzarse el recordatorio a los huéspedes sobre respetar el descanso nocturno (hablar alto a cualquier hora, tele alta, niños gritando, movimiento de muebles...) pero eso es culpa de la falta de educación y respeto de la gente, no del hotel ;)

El hotel está ubicado en una zona tranquila y silenciosa, pero al mismo tiempo muy cerca de bares, restaurantes y comercios. ¡Top! Como sugerencia de mejora, sería conveniente retirar la moqueta y renovar las baldosas del suelo del baño, dado que algunas se encuentran rotas.

Lobby and overall hotel looked nice but our room was disappointing. Very spartan looking and beds were very small. Lot of noise from outside was heard in the room from people talking and hanging around despite windows all closed. Not to mention the roosters crowing at 4 am every morning. Staff was indifferent. Very good breakfast.

• simons843 (8/5): Slightly disappointing for a 4* - The standard rooms vary in size, with some having separate seating areas. As we booked way in advance, we would have liked one of the slightly bigger rooms. We stayed here twice in January 2026 and both times we were very happy with the reception staff, who were very responsive to our requests. For example, it was unseasonably hot and our request for a fan was answered within minutes. However the breakfast staff were miserable and made you feel unwelcome. If you arrive for breakfast near the cutoff time of 10:00am they were not happy and did not replenish all the breakfast items. Having said that, the breakfast was good. No complimentary water the second stay. Dodgy lift broke down. Location is excellent, close to the main drag with lots of bars and restaurants. Little things could be done better, like making sure of collecting our luggage when the lift was out of order, actually providing complimentary water and pastries offered. It doesn’t really feel like a 4 star hotel, more like a 3+. If we return we will be looking for other options.

O café da manhã é suficiente para começar o dia. Os quartos tem aquecimento, mas não possuem ar condicionado. Quando estive lá (jan/26) fazia calor mesmo à noite, o que foi desconfortável para dormir. A TV do quarto não era smart e a internet era lenta.

Más de 350 dólares la noche y no tienen ningún detalle de cortesía en la habitación no cafetera, no tetera, no botella de agua, ninguna amenities. Todo muy básico … menos la tarifa. Solo aprecio el trato de la Srta de recepción de la mañana al check out. El desayuno es muy pobre sin gusto .. sin productos de calidad. Muy básico. Insisto para un hostel hubiera estado bien, pero no para la tarifa.
• Melina (9/5): Hotel ótimo - Café da manhã muito bom, com produtos artesanais e variados. Quarto amplo com 2 ambientes. Tivemos um problema com o quarto reservado e foram super legais nos mudando para um quarto que atendeu super bem nossa família. Tem elevador e estacionamento. Não usamos o spa mas a banheira e sauna pareciam bem mantidos. Localização boa, perto da rua principal, mas distante o suficiente para não ter barulho, com acesso fácil também ao lago. Não tem ar condicionado, fomos no verão e o quarto ficava bem quente a noite. Isso é um problema meio geral da Patagônia no verão… poucos hotéis tem ar condicionado e principalmente quando o quarto tem sol da tarde na janela, pode incomodar quem é mais calorento. Outro ponto que desagradou foi a cortina no chuveiro. Mas, no geral, o hotel é muito confortável e voltaria com certeza.

• YONG (10/5): Beautiful and Heartwarming Runaway Hotel at El Calafate - All the receptionists (especially François) are very helpful with information on how to get entry tickets to National Parks on line, on how to exchange money and on how to choose the local restaurant at EL Calafate. What I like best also includes their heartwarming smiles, their beautiful English speaking and their competences. The decoration of the hotel is also pretty and chic, with excellent taste.
