Guest Reviews
- Grant (10/5): - Reception Alberto was a master of hospitality and took great care to ensure my whirlwind stay was the best it could be. The breakfast was also excellent with homemade eggs and nice spread. Will return!
- Eduardo (2/5): Eu não recomendo - communication impossible! I left the hotel, took the subway and already tried to contact them because I forgot my glasses and my earphones... they don't answer the phone, they don't reply to emails, etc. I asked a French couple of friends to go there and they blamed the maid and the next guests and said it disappeared and they can't do anything... I don't recommend it!!!
- Brooke (10/5): - This hotel was great, definitely recommended! They were able to accommodate a very early check in and were always very pleasant. It is located in a great area plus near metro and train station.
- Alice (10/5): - Was accessible to transport, good restaurants, quite clean, friendly knowledgeable staff
J'invite donc l'hôtel à me contacter pour cela.
- Margareta (8/5): - Kleines, sympathisches Hotel in guter Lage im 6. Arrondissement, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
Ulaşım konusunda Paris'in ortasında denebilir.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pro:
- Proximity to Metro
- Clean Hotel
- Friendly staff
- Comfy Bed
Cons:
- Small rooms. My husband is 200lbs, 6’0” tall. Built like a hockey player. Im 5’4” 120lbs, fairly petite. This is to put things in perspective. We had to climb over each other to get to the other side of a standard room.
- Small bathroom. I could not wash my face in the sink without splashing the floor bec there wasnt enough elbow room. Floors were soaked bec my husbad had to leave the door open to fit in the shower.
- Room cleaning happened REGARDLESS of our request to not have this done.
- Small elevator. We barely fit in bringing our
luggage (1 checked 1rolling suitcase)
- Small hallways. Do not arrive when there is housekeeping You will not get through
- Howard (10/5): - it was close to metro and many bus routes. t
There were lots of boulangerie, bistros and other eateries. Concierge and front desk were excellent.
Aldri opplevd liknende.
- genady (8/5): Small budget hotel - Very good location and friendly staff
- Machaela (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Staff were very pleasant, room was clean - couldn’t fault it. Bonus that it is in a lovely neighbourhood with lots of lovely restaurants.
- Gabriel Alfredo Espinoza (6/5): - Good
- Vlad (4/5): - Conveniently located, but very small rooms and the common areas are rather worn down. The room and particularly the amenities are definitely too small for an XL size guest with a partner and some luggage.
- Michael (10/5): Stay here - Very friendly and helpful staff and a nice little hotel in a good area
- Michael (8/5): - Nice property and close to a main metro station making it really easy to see the sites. Only small issue we had was the shower screen leaked and water went on the floor but other than that nice clean property and would stay again!
- Kathleen (4/5): Tiny - Tiny elevator, tiny rooms and not worth the expensive rate.
- Rachel (10/5): - The staff are very nice and the hotel is in the center of everything.
- giuseppina (8/5): - Small boutique hotel in walkable area near lot of restaurants.
Could do with better lighting in room
- elena (10/5): - Hotel molto carino, personale gentile , bella posizione
- Gareth (10/5): Nice cosy hotel - Great little hotel, few minutes walk from montparnasse metro.
Cosy rooms but everyting you need and lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
- Steven (10/5): - Gem in the middle of 100 choices for dining and drink within 10 mins of Eiffel Tower and everything else. Inexpensive high quality. Touch small elevator but welcome to Paris. Nice rooms, new bathroom, safe.
- Margaret (6/5): - Room size as expected in a city, but the whole place needs an upgrade. It is showing its age. Rugs need replacement, wallpaper peeling. TV in my room was glitchy. On the plus side, bed was very comfortable and firm.
Lighting in public spaces is on motion sensor which is great, but there is a really long delay before they go on when you are walking up/down the steep, winding staircase and then the light is very dim.
Sign on the front of the building is often not lit at night. I walked right by the hotel once, and other times it felt a bit ominous walking toward such a dark building.
- Julie (8/5): - Quaint boutique hotel in an excellent location. Many restaurants and cafés in the area. Metro one block away. The rooms are tiny, but with everything you need. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is good.
- Aeryn (10/5): - Great staff, great location
- Juliana (10/5): - The hotel was very comfortable. Location is great, easy to grab metro, ubers, bikes and walk around. We stayed in the larger rooms and they were quite spacious for Paris. The decor is quirky, but they were very accommodating.
Paris is loud, we were on the 6th floor and still could hear street noise. Not a deal breaker for me, but if you are sensitive then keep that in mind. They did provide earplugs which was a nice touch. Also, the elevator only goes up to 5th floor, so if you have heavy bags like we did, you will have to carry up one flight of stairs if you are on the higher floors.
All in all, really good value for the size, location and cleanliness.
- Vinay (8/5): - Comfy bed and although the bathroom was small, it was clean and everything worked
- Tristan (8/5): 3 nights in Paris - Our Stay was for 3 days on a weekend trip to Paris. I can’t say enough how friendly helpful the front desk staff was. They went above and beyond to help us out. The rooms themselves were fine but the washrooms and showers weren’t the best. But would definitely stay there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was cozy and unique. The location is amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
- Mahamudul (8/5): - Small hotel but right where you want to be! Excellent friendly staff at the desk. Highly recommended.
- Robert (8/5): Our Paris trip - That staff was always very helpful and friendly. The day before leaving they contacted a neighboring hotel so we could have our luggage tags printed in color. The morning breakfast selections were always varied. Our room was on top floor requiring us to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. For this reason and the price we paid for the room will most likely not result in booking this hotel if visiting Paris again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, safe and nice little hotel. There is a rumble from the trains that can be heard up on the 4th floor - so bring earplugs. Other than that, the room is laughingly small, but it is Paris. We opted to have the breakfast with the hotel and that was amazing - freshly made yogurt, croissants, coffee, fruit, meats, etc... The staff were kind and helpful.
- Shane (10/5): - Right at the top, when booking this trip, I definitely noticed the reviews mentioning the loss of some items by previous guests while staying at this hotel. While it made me a bit nervous when booking my trip, I decided to give it a shot, and I certainly WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.
First, it goes without saying that nothing in my room was ever touched by the hotel staff. I felt secure in my belongings the entire time I was in Paris. I should also note that I travel with several thousand dollars in electronic equipment, so your traditional laptop and possessions will be safe. The room provides a safe that would fit a small netbook +.
Second, the hotel staff was beyond friendly. Easily got an early check-in after our arrival (my wife and I were exhausted from traveling and needed to recharge before venturing out into the city.) When we needed to have some tickets physically printed out last minute, the staff jumped at the opportunity to help - without charge no less
Finally, while the hotel room is a bit small by American standards, the bed was super comfortable after a long day walking the town. The shower had tons of pressure and great hot water. And no review would be complete without mentioning the great location this choice offers. Located on Rue de Montparnasse, there are tons of cafes of all stripes within a few minutes walk and super close to multiple metro stations that can take you to any corner of the city. We definitely plan on returning to this hotel on my next trip.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The building seems to be built directly on a metro tunnel and vibrates and rattles regularly.
- Brandon (10/5): - Such a beautiful hotel, was very comfortable and was very welcoming, staff were so nice and the room was amazing so unique! Would definately stay here again, around a 35 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower which was good and lots of restaurants on the same street!
- Alberto (8/5): - Stay was great! Nice and courteous staff!
- Brian D (6/5): Average for the price in convenient neighborhood. - Good location, but dollar for dollar, not comparable to better local hotels for the price. They did help us access our room a little early, but the room was cramped and needed maintenance.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bare necessities, very small. - The room is awkwardly small. The bathroom sink was plugged the whole time we were there, and started to leak on the bathroom floor on our last day. The staff was unable to fix it. I had to leave a note for the housekeeping to provide clean coffe cups, Kleenex, and face cloths. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- joy (10/5): Great location and good breakfast - Highly recommend to stay here. Good location and great breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We wanted to be close to Gare Montparnasse for trips to Blois and Chartres and access to central Paris. The hotel's location was perfect. Breakfast very tasty and complete, many excellent restaurants nearby. The front desk staff outdid themselves in making our stay pleasant and responding to our needs.
- Aileen (10/5): - Good location close to metro station. There was some noise from the metro going past but the room was otherwise comfortable. Bathroom small (as expected in central Paris) but the shower was amazing. Hotel staff very pleasant and friendly.
- joe (6/5): In city hotel - Based on reviews on Expedia and trip advisor I was expecting a very cool boutique hotel. I was disappointed with the super small rooms, stains on carpet, one room with view to a brick wall. I expected parking to be a challenge but it wasn't too bad with a nearby 5 min walk to garage.
Hotel is on a main street so you have to park in bus/taxi lane with hazards on to unload. Barely fit 3 people and luggage in elevator. Outside of hotel isn't anything to talk about. Buildings across way were charming classic Paris with pretty wrought iron balconies.
Good location of hotel. If you walk out of hotel down one block you can see the Eiffel tower in the distance.
- Halina (8/5): Nice rooms, no bathroom door - Hotel is in a great area. There are lots of really good restaurants within walking distance. The service was friendly. The room is tiny, but very cozy.
My issue was with the lack of a bathroom door. It's a sliding door that leaves about a two-inch opening on either side when "closed." If you're comfortable using the bathroom in a very small space while being able to make direct eye contact with whoever else is in the room, then by all means stay here. I asked where all the rooms in this hotel were like this and was told that they are. I wouldn't book here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Solid 3-star (read 3, not 4) experience. My stay was fine but I'm genuinely surprised that this is a 4-star establishment, especially having stayed at a number of other 4-star hotels in Paris. I will say that the breakfast and location are standouts. The room itself... not so much.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a 4 star Hotel!!! - Rooms are very small, you can hear conversations in the rooms next to you, door key never worked....we had to keep going downstairs from the 4th floor to have them activate it. Sometimes the elevator was not working. We had to change rooms because the shower drain was backing up. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay for me and my wife and added alot of frustration.
- zs (10/5): Perfect hotel at end of vacation - Courteous staff and super comfy bed. Pleased overall. hotel offers a smartphone for guests to use in the city, it is a nice touch!
- Ivan (8/5): Nice place at Montparnasse - Good access to public transport (sadly, no on RER line), plenty (!) of restaurants and shops around. Very close to the Eiffel tower. Friendly and helpful staff (speak good English). Small bar at the site, but no restaurant and no facilities. Room equipped with complimentary coffee / tea set, complimentary cell phone and an umbrella (nice!). Room was very small (central Paris) and the desk was basically useless. Very good breakfast, way above French standards (that was the reason why I picked this hotel). WiFi was pretty slow, though. Spacious bed, four pillows.
- Carmen (8/5): I recommend - Overall my experience was a positive one. The area is excellent. Hotel is beautiful. Breakfast is fantastic. The only negative parts were hallways seemed a bit dirty (black carpet did not help in this regard). The rooms on the superior floors are larger. Also in my bathroom the shower doors were not v well insulated so all the water was going on the bathroom floor.
- JessF (10/5): Unique hotel in good location - Hotel La Parizienne is very close to a metro station, whish allows easy access to the entire city. The area felt safe, and there are many restaurants nearby.
The Eiffel Tower is a 40 min walk away, it's a nice way to get a quiet view before joining the crowd at the tower. And though you can't see the tower from the hotel, just pop across the street and you've got a great view right from the sidewalk! Near the hotel is the Montparnasse Tower, if you go up to the observation deck you get a stunning view of the tower. Beautiful at night with the lights of the city below you.
The bed and the pillows were very comfortable Our room (Curieuse style double) was quite small, but well kept, everything felt new and clean. The small fridge and safe were handy as well. We could feel/hear a small rumbling from the metro going underground, but it didn't keep either of us awake.
The one oddity is that the bathroom door is a sliding door and it never felt entirely closed. We turned on the tv for privacy when the other was in the bathroom which wasn't a problem for us, but not ideal. The elevator is super small, two people and two sets of baggage and it was jam packed full, but of course worked just fine.
- LB (6/5): Box room! - A sweet hotel and nice location.. but having paid out for the 'bigger' room, I just couldnt get over how small it was! Especially for the price, it was not reflective. I've since moved to another hotel in Opera for the remainder of my work trip and it's about three times the size, natural light and I'm not worried about getting cabin fever.
It is a good location for exploring... but more than one/two nights and it's just too small!
- Amy (6/5): Comfortable bed but everything else average - The hotel is close to metros which is great, and the bed was comfortable. But after that it's all pretty average. The housekeeping was average, shower hot and cold intermittently, mini bar didn't work and old carpet.
- Pamela (8/5): Pretty and convenient hotel - Stylish hotel in the middle of the Montparnasse neighborhood-lots of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Its also very close to the big train station, convenient for the Metro and travel to other parts of France. The staff were very friendly. The décor is modern and lively-a good choice for a small hotel. The rooms were pretty small, and the bathroom was very tiny-you can barely turn around in the shower. But the room was well heated (it was in the 30'sF) and great hot water and water pressure.
- Henrik Juhl (8/5): Newly renovated, hip, clean and comfortable hotel - Had a lovely 2-night stay at La Parizienne in October 2016. Rooms and hallway are trendy decorated, newly furbished room and bathroom, super clean everywhere. Room was rather small as is typically the case in Paris, but well proportioned. Small quiet hotel, neatly located close to major transport links (Montparnasse plus metro and RER) and local communities - shopping streets for all tastes etc. Running/walking distance to Luxembourg gardens etc. Helpful and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cozy little place. - Tiny room but staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is super close to metro with plenty off places to eat around the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): wonderful place - THis is a wonderful place. 30 minute walk to everywhere (Louvre, tower, notre dame, great city streets, Pastuer, etc). fantastic and helpful desk staff as well. The rooms are small, at least mine was, but you are in paris...don't spend time there anyway. Room was clean and comfortable and upn entering had a joie du vie unlikely to find in other chain places
- Huce (10/5): It's just perfect ! - I came to Paris from Ottawa. I stayed at this hotel for about 12+10 days. The hotel is just perfect. The staff are multilingual, very helpful, friendly, and professional. I reached the hotel at 9:40am, and was allowed an early check-in ( with no extra charges). The hotel is located in the center city of Paris, just few minutes walking of all the touristic areas ( with plenty of restaurants and commerce...). The area/neighborhood is very safe.
The room is super clean, and very modern. It has everything that one can need, including a mini-bar, and a large TV with cable networks. The bed is large and super comfy. I strongly recommend the hotel.
- Lisa (8/5): Perfect location - We were there for a romantic short break and the hotel location was just perfect.
The room itself was pretty compact and the bathroom quite small and there was a slight issue with the shower door (it had half a glass partition) which meant the floor got completely wet.
However, it was a minor issue and we were upgraded to the only room with a secluded and cute terrace which was a lovely touch. Staff were great and very helpful.
Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Gare Montparnasse - While we had a cute little balcony the downside was the lift shaft and the sound of lift through the evening and morning.
- kim (10/5): Small and cozy - Loved the neighborhood because it was not too touristy but near everything. Staff super friendly and clean rooms.
- Rebecka (6/5): - The room was clean, spacius, very nicely decorated and designed. The staff very charming and helpful. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Bathroom was very well planned and clean as well. only minus was - the noice from the underground could be heard in the room. Paris was very hot during my stay and the A/C was not very efficient.
- Robab (10/5): Lovely Hotel - lovely hotel
- Ann (8/5): - Had a wonderful stay for three nights. Room very clean, and staff very helpful. Lovely area walked everywhere.
- Melissa (10/5): A great stay in Paris! - Staff is amazing, great location and handy made the stay top notch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay in Paris with friendly and helpful staff and access to restaurants, bistros and within walking to distance to the Metro!
- Violaine (8/5): Great stay, great location! - I had a great time at the hotel La Parizienne, the hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well located. It is a great deal for the price! I would recommend it.
- Yusuf (8/5): Good hotel - Conveniently located near gare montparnasse. Very neat hotel and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - small hotel, but staffs are friendly and helpful. rooms are clean and chic.
- John (10/5): A most pleasant stay - I had a three-night stay in this lovely hotel. It is really very comfortable and clean. All staff are charming, efficient and very friendly. The room wasn't immense but perfectly adequate with a most comfortable bed and lovely bathroom which had a super shower. I would certainly return.
- Matthew (10/5): Fantastic Boutique Hotel - I love this hotel. The staff is fantastic and the best review I can give is that I am staying for another five nights there next month.
- John (6/5): Hotel nice, good location. - Hotel nice, good location. Rooms a little small and only limited storage. Tea and coffee making facilities would be a nice touch
- Eland (8/5): Nice Boutique Hotel - This was a nice cozy hotel in the 6th with many restaurants and shopping in the area. Rooms are typically Paris small, but that did not pose a problem for us. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location; very clean; great staff.
Very close to pretty much everything and some metro stations if walking is not on the day's agenda :)
- Clay (8/5): Yes and yes! - Everything was great. Extremely well designed property. Elevator shaft noise a little irritating. Great location!
- Melissa (8/5): - The hotel was clean but very tight for 2 people.
The neighborhood was great close to the metro.
If the price was right would consider staying there again.
- Vicki (8/5): Awesome stay - Was a fantastic location for us to explore Paris. So close to different metro stations and loads of places to eat. Would definitely stay there again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient, Courteous and Clean - Very nice location with plenty of restaurants and transportation located right there. Only issue would be the Tony size of the room. My husband and I could only open the suitcases on the bed. Overall a good experience though.
- Jazz (10/5): Nice and close to the city centre. - Very comfortable and close to the city centre. Staff were very very professional and friendly. They were very helpful when needed.
- Shifteh (10/5): Gorgeous, quality hotel, superb location! - Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter for her 20th birthday. We love this hotel and would highly recommend it. Very stylish and trendy, with very good quality furniture, our bed was amazing. Fantastic ceiling shower in our room! Lovely breakfast, polite staff. This hotel is a gem in the centre of Paris, in a great location with great food and shopping literally a step away. Thank you, we loved our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay! - Overall a great stay! Just had a little problem one evening, they lock their doors after a certain time and the receptionist needs to open the door for you. We arrived back at the hotel around 1:30am, and had to wait 15 minutes before there was someone to open the door for us.
Other than the above, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern and clean hotel with good location - Really nice hotel with polite staff. Good location with lots of restaurants nearby, a franprix across the road and 5 min walk to loads of shops. You can access all the paris landmarks by the metro which is close as well.
- Sham (8/5): Good - First of all the staff are absolutely brilliant, really helpful. The room size is rather small, me and my partner managed to cope. Another con - do not touch the chocolate and drinks in the mini fridge if your up for paying €25 + (ridiculous prices) and we also got extra tax (city tax)
- Verified traveler (10/5): GREAT HOTEL - The staff was very helpful and understood English that was good. The room was small but it didn't matter because the bed was so comfortable. It also had climate control. The staff was able to help me book my tours also. there is breakfast in the morning alai if you choose.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Despite having booked a wheelchair accessible room, we were sent to a normal one where the person in the wheelchair couldn't even get in the room as the bed was blocking his entrance. It was a long while before they allocated us to our room (which was fine as it had plenty of space). So, if you are booking a wheelchair accessible room, maybe give them a call before you get there to confirm your room. Also, bear in mind that the room is right opposite the reception and whoever is there can see right through your room. Otherwise, very clean, friendly staff and a convenient location for sightseeing/food.
- A (8/5): Great Hotel! - This Was A Pleasant Hotel Right Near Shops And A Mall. There Was Even A Subway Nearby. The Staff Were Great And Most Importantly, The Room Was Clean And Stocked With Toiletries. We Would Stay Again. The Only Downside Was The Room Was Very Small, BUt We Weren't In It Much.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Neat place to stay! - Location of the hotel is great. 2 mins walk to metro. rooms are small but very neat, tidy and comfortable. The only downside is faint vibration coming from metro. It is not much to disturb you or wake you up from sleep but while awake one would notice it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small hotel with great location. Friendly staff with good English. Best for single traveler or couples since the room is small.
