• Fabio (5/5): non all'altezza delle aspettative, managment poco attendo alle esigenze degli ospiti. - la struttura è bella ed è direttamente posizionata sul fiume palestra minuscola allestita in una stanza con vetrata con vista sulla piscina e composta da un tapis roulant, un'ellittica ed una macchina multifunzionale, abbastanza datate, ed una rastrelliera con i manubri. Già due persone vi si ostacolerebbero a vicenda. Colazione a la carte con un menù veramente ridotto e la possibilità di scegliere solo un piatto e due bevande, caffè incluso;o 0gni richiesta in più è a pagamento. Nell'area tutt'intorno alla villa ci sono dei lavori in corso che, come si usa fare in Vietnam, vengono fatti soprattutto di notte, il che rende l'accesso all'area disagevole di giorno e rumorosa di notte.

• Patrick (10/5): Overall this is a beautiful hotel and a sanctuary to escape the city noise, while still being accessible to District 1. - It is a lovely building directly on the river. This proximity was a highlight. The boat transfer to and from District 1 was greatly appreciated. The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. And the staff go above and beyond to assist in a friendly atmosphere. District 2 is a beautiful area and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The pool is delightful and the small gym adequately fitted out. We can highly recommend Villa Song. The breakfast is à la carte and a little lacking in choice. You are allowed one dish and one drink as part of the room price. But what is there is delicious. Be careful if you have trouble with mobility as the central spiral staircase could be challenging if your room is on the top floor. There is no lift.

• Dowling (8/5): Check if the hotel is booked for an event first before booking your stay. A lovely hotel otherwise. - Very pretty property with huge pool. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Balcony was large enough to sit out on. Breakfast was very nice. Room service possible for no extra charge. There was a wedding on on the night we stayed which meant the entire garden was booked out. Options for dinner at the restaurant were limited to room service or eating by the pool which was disappointing. I would check with the hotel first before booking if you hope to eat in their restaurant. Food and drinks are expensive here.

• JUNKO (10/5): 一人旅でゆっくり滞在しました - はじめに案内された部屋はホテル隣地の建設工事の音がうるさかったので、反対向きに部屋に変更して欲しいとお願いしたら、どうやら空室が無かったようでスイートルームに変更してくれました。 1泊目は最悪でしたが2～4泊目は静かで快適な滞在でした。 騒音についてフロントの方がとても気遣ってくれて、他にも何かあったら連絡してくださいねと親しみやすく話しやすい対応をしてくださいました。 フロントとはWhatsAppでチャットできたので、ちょっとしたことでも気軽に問合せすることが出来て便利でした。 朝食はベトナム料理と洋食のリストから選ぶものでした。毎日美味しくいただきました。 ただ、ディナーメニューは気軽に注文できるようなものが無かった気がします。クラブハウスサンドやバーガーが食べたかったけど無かったのでピザを頼みましたが巨大でした。 プールは深さ1.25Mでしたので大人は常に足がつく安心感がありました。ただ、午前中はダイビングレッスンが開催されている日もあり、泳ぎにいくのをためらうことがありました。 ウォッシュレットが無かったのとシャワーの水圧が弱かったことが残念でしたし、冷蔵庫の中身は無料で一日一回補充とチェックイン時に案内されましたが、水以外は補充されなかったところが、残念ポイントです。 でも、また利用したいと思います。

It is right on the river and a nice small quiet hotel. Food is good. They have a water taxi if you want to go into downtown HCM, which is a fun ride. I like that it offers something different to the large, busy “brand” hotels.

I accidentally left my mobile phone behind and they were incredibly responsive and sent it by motorbike taxi to me so I could continue my trip with it. Unfortunately the hotel speed boat was out of service when we were there, but the taxi ride to district 1 was fine.

• Gary (10/5): Lovely relaxing way to end our trip. - The property is nice. It feels like a big guest house which was warm and cozy. The rooms have nice style. And the staff made the experience unique. They were so invested in our trip and making sure we had things to do and good places to go. They offer a hotel boat to bring you from the hotel to the financial center which is closer to stuff to do. The hotel is located in District 2 which is a quieter area mostly higher end residences. The salt water pool is beautiful and clean and large. We used it daily to relax during downtown. And the food at the hotel is really good. Better than most food we’ve had elsewhere in Vietnam. Breakfast was from a menu which is different from the buffets we’ve had most other spots. Nothing really. Maybe it’s a bit far from the touristic stuff to do but it’s a few dollar taxi ride and it’s so peaceful to get away from the chaos.

Bedrooms very comfortable, bathrooms very clean. Inside Hotel clean generally apart from upholstery. The location is great and the speedboat in to the city works well. The Air Con was great Lovely swimming pool. 20 metres or so. Great location to walk down the road 15 mins to spa's, a large array of fantastic restaurants, ATM'S, Supermarkets. Cat Cafe too! The Laundry Service was excellent. The Hotel is very well photographed - It is VERY tired and in need of investment. We almost left and went somewhere else. The reception desk looks like an office and could do with smartening up. Most of the upholstered chairs and sofas in our rooms were stained and furniture was chipped and bashed - and burnt from straightening tongs. Our bedding was ripped, clean and unstained, but old. ALL the fabric sunbeds by the pool were very dirty and stained, some sagged as were broken. The parasols were very dirty. The chairs and tables by the pool are rusty and old and the buckets and hose etc need tidying away by the pool. The pool shower barely worked. Pool towels stained with bleach etc. We had a chest of drawers outside our room where everyone's used room service trays were left on. It's not the hotels fault but there is presently in Jan 2025 a construction site next door which is noisy everyday very early from 7ish (they don't stop on the weekend). We weren't informed of that when booking. They hosted 2 Weddings, 2 of the nights of our 4 night stay which are disruptive and the level of service for Hotel guests drops. We were told about those on the day! This hotel has a huge amount of unrealised potential. I would love to smarten it up, it wouldn't take much!
• Jacqueline (9/5): Will stay again when in Ho Chi Min - Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was chosen from a large menu choice. Staff were very helpful. We were moved to a suite and the view over the river was lovely. The free speed boat transfer to the centre was fun. Building site next door started early and continued till late. When we first arrived we were put in a room overlooking the building works but we asked to be moved and the staff did this straight away. It wasn’t an issue for us but be careful which room you book if the building is still happening

• Julia (8/5): An ‘old, colonial-style Saigon experience’ with a riverside location at an excellent price - Excellent restaurant - great menu, v good chef. Lovely friendly helpful people. Great riverside ambiance. Characterful property with a feeling of ‘old Saigon’ about it. It is a bit too far out of the way of the main tourist centre in Saigon. There is no passenger lift and so it is completely unsuitable for travellers with mobility issues or lots of heavy cases!

• Fiona (9/5): Lovely small characterful hotel outside the centre of town. - Friendly and lots of character We chose to stay out of town at Villa Song on the river because of the expected ease of travel into the centre by the hotel speed boat which is offered as a facility when booking. We were disappointed to find it was not working doing our stay. Otherwise we liked the hotel a lot.
• Ben (6/5): 4 night stay - Pros - Staff were friendly and helpful when asked anything - building looked historic and nice - rooms were comfortable Cons - free boat shuttle wasn't operating for the whole stay (the easy access to the city was the reason we booked here. Ended up having to pay taxis to and from the city each day) - pool area was a thoroughfare for staff and people coming to the hotel for meetings. Wasn't relaxing at all. Pool lounges/cabanas were a bit weathered. Lots of mosquitos - calls to room service were unanswered sometimes. Had to walk down 2 floors to order room service - no english speaking channels on the tv. Even though the channel list provided listed plenty of english speaking channels

Nice salt water swimming pool exceptionally clean - great for doing lengths. Lovely having breakfast alongside the river. Food well presented and tasty. Not much.

Everything we ate was delicious and not bother if you wanted room service. Staff were helpful and friendly and happy to organise anything for you. The boat was a major plus to get into the city with ease and for a lovely addition to the day! Beds were not as comfortable as expected for a high quality hotel. Also the mosquitos were always in the bedroom and we got bitten a lot. This has not happened in any other hotels on our Vietnam tour. Otherwise everything was perfect.

• Melissa (10/5): Villa Song exceeded our expectations and is definitely worth 5 stars. - The photos of Villa Song do not do it any justice. It is a beautifully unique hotel with lovely grounds, spacious and well furnished rooms....and the pool area was a perfect place to rest from the heat. It was lovely sitting near the river for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. (Vicky was so sweet and always happy to help with anything we requested) The shuttle boat to the city was a fabulous service....an added bonus to a wonderful hotel. We would definitely return to Villa Song.

The staff are all so lovely, helpful and so friendly. Couldn't have been nicer. Dairy alternatives (eg oat milk) would have been really appreciated but didn't spoil our stay
• François (8/5): Very good - Villa Song is a very special place located along the Mekong in a quiet and upscale neighborhood of Saigon. Wide choice of food, efficient and friendly staff that will do his best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Villa Song needs a little refreshing, the years have passed and left traces that taint a little my stay in a place that used to be magical 7 years ago.

• Catriona (9/5): Superb boutique, heritage hotel but lacking a boat captain! - Loved the heritage aspect, on the river away from the centre. Superb staff, particularly at the front desk. Lovely big, secluded pool and nice restaurant with tables on the river. The main reason for choosing the hotel was the promise of a complimentary boat down the river to the centre ( lovely way to travel rather than the crazy traffic) unfortunately the boat captain had disappeared and the one trip he took me, which was delightful, he failed to pick me up again at the designated time! This seems to be an essential element that needs to be sorted.

I really can't fault anything - umm no USB-C charging points?

• Lisa (9/5): Superb - The hotel the food the staff were excellent The breakfast was lovely The service was great We had booked this hotel as it looked and was lovely, but also it stated that there was a boat suttel service to the town. The boat wasn't in service, as they were waiting on a licence, so we had to get taxis . Because of this reason the location of the hotel is just a bit too far from the main part of town, so that is why we gave a 9 out 10
• Chris (8/5): A little disappointing - We booked a twin room but none available, but was given a suite for the last night. The first room had plumbing issues, could not control the hot water! and the shower fitting was broken. A noisey building site next door. Mouldy fruit in the room. Breakfast was not a buffet, the staff had never heard of cereal (cornflakes), only one dish allowed together with only one drink. This is strange as the minibar was refilled daily at no charge. We had to sit for breakfast overlooking the Saigon River which would have been great but for the rubbish. They should invest in a permanent barrier to stop this. We got the impression that they would cater more for their outside guests rather than residents.
