Guest Reviews
- Ernest (10/5): - Convenient location, courteous staff.
- Michael (8/5): - For a quick cheap stay, your not paying for a 5 star hotel. For the 2 or 3 star it is, it hits above its weight... decent stay if your are looking for something more affordable
- 105magnusw (8/5): Hotel Pomezia 11 - 14 november 2024 - My experience with Hotel Pomezia was very positive. The hotel is without elevator, which I was aware of and is for the moment a bit worn around the edges. The staff was lovely and very friendly and helpful. It is a hotel without any luxuries, but this is not what I am looking for. The location is hard to surpass; right in the center of historic Rome. 200 meters from Campo Fiori. Hard to beat that. Since it is located in a back street with not much traffic, the noice from the street is neglectble. Hte rooms at quite a bit worn and very basic, but clean and well managed.
I was told that the Hotel is to be renovated in january, after that it will most definetly be a very good place in which to base your Rom vacation.
I most certainly will be back
- A1983PArichardg (6/5): Don’t expect too much. - This hotel is very rough around the edges, but it is clean and the location is unbeatable. The prices are consistent with Rome and if you want a 4 star hotel at 2 star hotel prices, you are looking in the wrong area. Very safe area, lots of food and shopping nearby.
- N1101BUmichaelc (6/5): Good location - The location is very .very good. Central to many attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes tin the area. Hotel staff are excellent. The hotel itself has no lift, rooms could do with a refurbishment. Ugly decor from the 70s This is not a luxury hotel. The room we stayed in had no view. You get what you pay for in Rome. I would stay here again as I felt safe. The location is good. Aircon worked well.( 37 degrees today.) Had a comfortable sleep. Stayed here with my son. We are out all day. Back to hotel just to sleep. Would I bring my girlfriend or wife here? No..if she is fussy. Yes if I was assured a refurbished room.
- Sayed (10/5): - Great hotel room
- W3338SDbend (2/5): brutal - the cleaning lady stole my wifes makeup bag and lied about it. Not that the owners cared to do anything about it. very small rooms. bad service. would never return there again. in hindsight i should have booked anything else in the area
- Maria (6/5): - Basic 2 star hotel. Beds were comfy, location was amazing. Bathroom with no window or ventilation could get smelly.
Served our purposes as a base for 2 nights in fantastic location.
- Stephen (10/5): - Hotel Pomezia provided world class hospitality and service. An all around gem & I’d love to go back!
- allegras356 (10/5): Kindness & Tidiness - I spent 2 nights in Rome alone for work and decided to go to Hotel Pomezia. I was impressed by the precision and kindness of the owners. I was alone and they welcomed me in a very familiar and friendly way. They helped me with tips on nice walks and restaurants in the area. The location of the hotel was perfect for me! 2 minutes from Campo dei Fiori and the beautiful Piazza Navona, but also great if you want to visit the Trastevere area. The room had everything I needed. It was clean and neat. The breakfast was simple but complete with a little bit of everything. I also liked the pictures of iconic women like Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn scattered around the hotel. Overall, if you want to spend a reasonable amount of money to have the basic amenities you need when traveling and like to adapt to new places, Pomezia is a great choice! :)
- mjdzt (10/5): Staying in a Museum in the Center of Ancient Rome - Very underated hotel with pealing walls, narrow stairs and ancient beds (but very clean). Well you are staying in wonderful museum in the Center of Anceint Rome. This hotel has character. The room's wide windows open into the busy narrow walking street below. The feel of a family run hotel (very friendly) with a perfect included continetial breakfast served in the parlor. Walking distance to all the sites, where you can return to the comfort of you room after every activity. Night life is in every direction; Campo de Fiori, Plaza Novona & Pantheon seconds away. Even the Trevi fountain with its exciting night time energy of the crowd is 15 min walk. Hotel easy to find behind St Andrew of the Valley Church (take alley on west side church, hotel 2 bks on left). Adjacent to site of Caesar death at Tower of Argentina. Tiber Island just south. Vatican to the west. This is a budget Hotel but in the center of all the activity. Best to have luggage less 10kg. Weak Wifi best near room door. Fly in FCO; airport SIT bus or bus to train station 6 to 8 euro.
- Kumarmanglam Kaushal (6/5): - The property has good location. The rooms are bit smelly along with the passage. The bathrooms need refurbishments. Heating is poor.
- Alex (4/5): Fabulous location, atrocious odor - I'm a pretty easy going dude when it comes to comfort. I read other reviews and think "meh, they're probably fussy" and just power through. Well, other reviews mentioned that this place was stinky, and it turns out, they were not being fussy. We were on the cusp of staying somewhere else due to the smell. We ended up buying potpourri from a perfume store to mask the odor, and that made it bearable, but only just. If you're contemplating another $15 a night to stay in a not-stinky place, it's definitely worth it. The staff and comfort level were all adequate, and the location is really spectacular. But did I mention the smell. Hoo boy.
- Jim (8/5): - Hard to beat the location and price of this hotel in a city like Rome.
- Angela (8/5): - Very clean, it's a tough walk up the stairs. Decent breakfast. Rooms are very small but have what you need. I slept good and they are very close to shopping and restaurants.
- Janer (10/5): Amazing owners - Located just steps away from the fontana di trevi. Walk in distance to coloseum and Vatican City. The friendliest owners in the World. Amazing coffee and croissants for breakfast. Really loved our stay.
- Evan (8/5): - Good value for the price. Great location and friendly/helpful staff. They were able to schedule taxi service as needed. Many ancient sites and great restaurants were easily within walking distance
- Jim (10/5): - If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with all the essentials - but not a lot of frills - look no further. Clean, efficient, solid breakfast. All for less than any other hotels in that historic area of town.
- ALIREZA (10/5): - Pricewise good, close to the best of rome sightseeing attractions and lovely staff
- Corey (10/5): - Incredibly clean, service was amazing, location couldn't be beat.
- Itay (8/5): - Great staff
- gianluca (10/5): Amazing stay - My stay at Hotel Pomezia has been gorgeous.
The staff has been always very helpul and relly friendly.
The location is just 2 minutes walking by Campo de fiori and in the heart of Rome. I was feeling like at home
Value for money is really high.
- gocha007 (6/5): Nice - Really nice and helpful staff. Great localization in the city, 5 minutes to Pantheon. It is great that breakfasts are included. Breakfasts are modest, sweet but sufficient. Rooms and bathrooms need renovation.
- Angelica (6/5): - The property needs some maintenance. The breakfast is quite basic. Probably to at least change the fruit offered every day would be good. The coffee from the machine is horrible.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Small dilapidated room. Bathroom even worse, with a light smell of mold and sewage. The A/C remote controls are removed from the rooms in September, so you cannot use air conditioning even if it’s hot (it was still very hot in mid October). Clean sheets and towels are replaced daily and the breakfast is okay. The location is quite good, within walking distance of most tourist spots.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - close to all tourist ateactionshe, clean. in a nice street
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff very helpful, third floor, narrow stairs and no lift could be a problem. Very clean, basic hotel, interesting area enlist of restaurants
- viviana (6/5): Decent Accomodation , close to Piazza Navona. - the hotel is old. First night better romm. Second time, the sink was wobbly, the TV did not turn on. No elevator. Air conditioning worked well They found a taxi for me. Breakfast reasonable
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Perfect location but the hotel is falling apart. Nothing like the pictures. AC remote was missing but reception was not able to find another one... so we had to climb on furnitures to manually turn it on as the scorching roman summer was unbearable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The customer service, the room, and the breakfast were all great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was perfect. Air conditioning in rooms perfect. Rooms could do with repainting. Shower doors needed instead of shower curtain.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Friendly , helful staff- - Great location , near to restaurants, walk-in distance from major attractions. Spanish steps, Traci fountain, other attractions were walking distances. Simple place with breakfast, friendly staff. Only issue- simple bed breakfast, not many amenities- nothing in room other than bed, bathroom with towels. Our room was at 3rd floor no elevator. So be careful carrying luggage.
- Smitton77 (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - I was worried when I saw the reviews but do not let them put you off staying here. Came here with a couple of friends when travelling around Italy last month. Service was impeccable, food was great, coffee amazing! And the rooms were decent.
It’s also so close to most landmarks, being in the heart of Rome. But the best part was the hotel itself, so beautiful. And it’s historic heritage was so amazing to hear about.
Would definitely come again!
- errol20 (2/5): I wouldn't come here again - Where do I begin the Wi-Fi is only in the lobby. There isn't grout between the tiles in the bathroom. The wooden furniture and the doors are rotting. Seems like the carpet is old and worn out. Didn't like the food so I ordered pizza for the 2nd day. The decor is very very old. Not something that you would expect from a 4-star hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Our first night we had to take a shower with cold water.. terrible!!
Good location..
- Marcos (10/5): - I got no complaints, was amazing stay. Close to the centre. Really good stay
- Khaldoon (2/5): No lift - No lift
No hot water
No good breakfast
Noisy at night
Not cheap
- Verified traveler (6/5): Shabby hotel, but good location - I knew from the reviews that the hotel is not in nice condition. Room had smell and our room had temperature issues. We booked two rooms and they gave us rooms at two different floors, even though we told them it's one family with kids. The staff on the other had was courteous, which compensated for that. I saw bad reviews about breakfast, but I think was reasonable. Location is a big plus. Major areas were in walking distance. So if you are going to spend entire day outside, like we did, then just for sleeping is acceptable.
- Shay (6/5): Good location but not a pleasent stay - There was a big difference in the service. Most of the personnel were unkind. at our last day, the person in the entrance was very pleasant and kind. There was an issue with the loo, which didn't solved by the housekeeping. The beds were not cozy (like military beds). The safe in the room buzz all the time, even in the night.
- Carmen (10/5): - Location, location and excellent customer service . Mr Franco is very friendly and always provide excellent customer servive.
Hotel is very clean and walking distance to everywhere. Free WIFI and good continental breakfast.
AC and heater availabel
- 783carmelav (10/5): LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was very clean with shower and AC.
Location as superb, walking distance everwhere within 5-15 min.
Continental breakfast and fresh capuccino every morning. A lot of restaurants and coffee shops around.
Bus, taxis and tram in 2 min walk!!!
Excellent customer service , thank you Franco!!!
- Carmen (10/5): - Excellent Location, 5 min walk to Tratesvere and Plaza Navona. 20 Min walk to Vatican. Hotel is located at 2 min to a main street that you can take bus or taxi.
Customer service excellent there were so friendly and polite.
Breakfast is continental and they serve you fresh capuccino.Free Wifi
- Daniel (8/5): Great location - Excellent service, was allowed to check in early and even eat breakfast on that morning. The only two things were the street noise could get a little loud in the morning and the air conditioner wasn’t so great. But overall, the location and hospitality... I’d stay again!
- williambU2879UQ (6/5): Great location; inexpensive but personally wouldn't stay again - My wife and I stayed here for two nights in mid July because friends were also staying there. It is not a place I would have chosen myself. I didn't really check to see how other hotel rooms for under EUR 100 per night compare, so this may simply be what you get for that price.
Hotel is in a great location. Front desk was efficient. We had two heavy bags that I had to drag up four flights of stairs (no elevator/lift). The room itself was small and the relatively small size of the windows made it feel smaller. It looked onto an air shaft. The room had an air conditioner, but the room never felt cool. It had a tiny tv, but we never turned it on. Breakfast was basic with nothing really healthy on offer. Shower was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to all the important sites - Wifi was terrible except in the breakfast room. Breakfast was barely adequate.
- Tyson Zane (8/5): Amazing value and location - Perfect location right in the centre of the old town (a hard place to find a room). The room was cheap and had everything I needed. Yes it is a tad basic but the value and location make up for this. The only downside for me was the room staff were very loud in the mornings, talking on their phones and talking loudly to each other at quite early hours in the morning.
- P & L (6/5): Won't repeat - Location is very bad unless you know the area. Staff was abrupt when checking in, no people skills.
No elevator, stairs very small and steep. Room was tiny and the TV did not work.
When we inquired, we were told that most of them don't work.
Except for the croissants, skip the "breakfast", go to McDonald's.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, simple amenities - Great location
- Trevor (6/5): A basic hotel in a very nice location - The hotel is located in a very nice location and the staff are very nice however the hotel has no elevator which i missed when i was booking (or it was not mentioned) and we were on the third floor with steep stairs. In addition we were three in the room and they gave us an extra bed which was broken and tilted all the time. Bathroom was ok.
If you are looking for an affordable hotel in a an excellent area and don't care about the room (just sleep and bath) then it's a good choice.
- gordin (8/5): Excellent location - Excellent position, 20-30 walk from a Romes main must see attractions. Very close indeed to quiet Bar + loads of restaurants.
Hotel is certainly not 4 star but we enjoyed it and the continental breakfast was very good.
- Linda (10/5): - Fantastic location! We didn't spend much time in the room because we were there to see the city. Rooms were clean and had the necessities. Front desk workers were very helpful and accommodating!
- Dave (2/5): reconsider your options - ignorant staff pretend they do not speak English. Did not actually clean the room just remade the bed. after cleaning left door room open. loud guests kept us up. Front desk staff did nothing. no elevator and we stayed on the third floor. asked for help carrying our suitcases and they pretended to not understand what we meant. Did not apologise for leaving our room unlocked.
- Nicole (2/5): Worst hotel ever booked - We checked in fine but the problems started as soon as we got to our room. It smelled musty and very damp. The room itself was dimly lit and sparsely furnished. The bathroom was covered in a black mold and was tiny and disgusting. The shower should have had a glass door but instead had a flimsy ratty curtain that did nothing to stop the water flowing onto the floor. We woke up and immediately booked a different hotel. Which was difficult considering that the free wifi is not actually in the rooms. Do not stay here.
- Benjamin Henry (2/5): The area of Campo de Fiori is great. - This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in while traveling in Italy. Third floor( which is 4th to Americans) walk up, no elevator. Light bulbs out in bathroom, methane gas smell, walls needed paint as they were spattered(?) and marked up. Room was so small that you could barely get around the bed. The desk clerk with the white beard was curt, brusk and unfriendly EVERY TIME encountered. The breakfast area had a coffee machine, and day old rolls, bulk cereal, no fruit or meat or cheese that is typically offered at breakfast. The key comes with a card to stick in the light switch so when you leave all elec went off in room, mine did not work so he shimmed a piece of paper in it. View from room was a wall 20 feet away. Toilet was dirty and stained.
- Javier (6/5): Convenient, clean (maybe ugly) hotel - Wifi was only available at the Lobby. The rooms are not very charming but they are extremely clean. The location is excellent for visiting all the main attractions.
- Brett (8/5): Great location
- Great location, walking distance to things such as Colleseum, Pantheon, etc. Nice room, though no lift was a bit if a trial with luggage. Other than that, fine.
Right in the heart of the old town, and taxis found it no problem. Easy to get a taxi, too - staff called for one, was there in minutes.
Would stay again
- Sunil (2/5): stay away from this hotel - I had never given a negative review in my life, but was compelled to write this to alert fellow passengers Stay away from this hotel.
We had two rooms booked and I must say that this is a terrible place. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location.
Rooms were very small with beds occupy wall to wall no space to move around. WC / bathrooms were ugly and tiny, it is difficult to turn around within the shower. No lock for the door. Water leaks to your room if you take a shower.
Broken power outlets in the room. Tv power and cables were unplugged. They have -19in tv in the room but does not work and there were no remotes. Air conditioners did not work. Breakfast is a joke. don't get deceived by the pictures you see on the Internet.
I prepaid for this thru Expedia and they did not allow me to checkout early and refused to return money. If you book thru Expedia, the property owners gets around eur 90. So expect a quality of such. This hotel was the only downside of our entire trip.
- Pat (10/5): Beautiful roof top terrace - Front desk person was very helpful. He called rental car agency and arranged delivery for me. The included breakfast was tasty and the terrace was upscale with a great view over the historic district. We are so glad we stayed here.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Almost got my stuff thrown out of the room - So the majority of europe check out is at noon, didn't realize this one was at 11 am and came back from having walked to the colosseum to an angry man waiting for me outside the hotel room asking me why I was late. I got back at 11:30, he said he was about to throw my stuff away ... I don't appreciate that
- Amir (8/5): A lovely place to stay - I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Pomezia. First of all the staff there are very welcoming and helpful. Maurizio (the owner) as well as Fabio and Franco made sure I was well accommodated every day. They also made it very easy for me to store my rental bike in their storage room every night. Breakfast every morning was great, and the room was always kept in good condition. I washed my laundry in a launderette a minute walk away form the hotel as well. Overall it was a great place to stay in a great location and a great daily price. Also, there is no elevator, so if you have a ton of luggage make sure you ask for a 1sr floor room. I stayed on the 3rd floor, but I travel lights, and personally enjoyed teh exercise a few times a day.
- Magnus (2/5): Very dirty room, really careless staff - The location is awesome (Next to Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and Pantheon) and that's the only nice thing about the hotel. Some of the staff are quite crazy and really careless about the reputation of the hotel. They actually recommended me to write a bad review so that's what I have done.
- Connie (8/5): Canadian family on vacation - Great value. Fantastic location at a great price that also included breakfast. You are in Piazza Navona area and in walking distance to many of Rome's fabulous sites.Air conditioning worked really well.
- Marlys (10/5): Most Helpful Staff - Owner Maurizio was most helpful to take me to a courier service to deliver an important package to Turino.
He also replaced bath mats to prevent slipping on wet tile floor.
- Mako (10/5): Great location. Basic hotel, but outstanding value - This hotel is around the corner from a place I stayed last year at 4 times the price.
If you want gold taps and uniformed staff you'll not find that here.
Breakfast is cereals, pastries and juice/coffee from self serve machines - adequate for starting your day.
In a nutshell, good value.
- Chris (8/5): Small family owned hotel in a great location - We had a short stay in Rome and our family of 3 just needed a basic hotel that was in a good location. Hotel Pomezia was exactly what we needed, also provided wifi and basic continental breakfast. Clean room and bathroom - staff organised taxis for us when we needed them easily.
- Tammy (6/5): Safe hotel close to restaurants and attractions - The hotel is an older building that needs some updating. The staff were helpful, but not all staff were proficient in English so it was hard to communicate at times. The hotel was quiet and I felt that is was very safe. It was a little hard to find as there isn't much signage. The picture on Expedia doesn't really match what it looks like in real life.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Conference stay in Rome - Very close to conference. Great price friendly. Small rooms good breakfast
- Ilan (10/5): Great Stay! - Great time, great stay, great hosting and in the Middle of the city!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great Location; Nice People; Room a Disappointment - The hotel is in a excellent location in the heart of old Rome. The room was small and did not look like the photos on Hotels.com, which I found disappointing. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful (with one solitary exception)...The street is mostly quiet at night and the bed was comfortable enough, but it was made up of two (single) beds pushed next to each other. The bathroom had either mold or mildew on the ceiling and on the shower curtain. These issues could easily be addressed by the hotel ownership (and frankly should be.) We stayed for a week and enjoyed our trip very much - and as I mentioned, the people were really nice - but because of the bathroom issues I can only recommend this hotel if you are on a very tight budget.
- UK Traveller (2/5): Outdated hotel with grim depressing rooms. - The location is perfect and central to all the attractions and the owners are polite and friendly. The first room we were given was incredibly small, we had booked a triple room and this was in no way adequate for the three of us. Another room was offered which was slightly bigger which we accepted. The décor was grim depressing and outdated and within ten minutes one of the beds collapsed. On lifting the mattress discovered that the bed slats were held together with gaffer tape. The bathroom was old, cramped and dangerous with nowhere to stand when stepping out of the shower. The bidet was pointless as it didn’t work. Breakfast was poor by European standards and consisted of coffee, tea, custard filled croissants and some sort of course cereal. Cakes for breakfast just wasn’t for me. So I didn't bother with breakfast. We won’t be staying there again.
- Vera (6/5): Perfect location, great staff - I have been in this hotel 2 summers in a row, and I would recommend it to my friends, the staff is so nice and helpful friendly and warm, this is a family run hotel by 2 brothers and a daughter, the hotel is centrally located with in walking distance to the best sites, to those that are interested, it's 5 min walk to the ghetto.
- Mat (4/5): Small, good location - Really nice location, not far from Pantheon. Tiny room with tiny bathroom with the smallest shower cubicle ever. Modest breakfast with spread cheese (the same) every morning
- Ripudaman (8/5): - All well except that it had no elevator and we got second floor.
Too many tight stair case to take luggage up.
Excellent location. walking distance to most places.
- Lauren (6/5): Nice Place - We chose this hotel for its location and price and were not disappointed with these. The room was certainly adequate but not particularly charming--just basic. The staff was helpful to give directions and call taxis. They also quickly fixed a couple of minor problems we had in the room. Breakfast, like the room, was basic but adequate with juice, cereal, croissants, coffee. The best part of this hotel was the location. We could walk to almost all of the major sites--Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Forum and Colosseum for example.
- Leah (6/5): Nice hotel in a good location - The hotel is ideally placed, ten minute walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, also walkable to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain (though currently under construction!), Colluseum etc. We took the bus from the airport (€4) to the Termini and paid €10-12 euro for a taxi to the hotel. Breakfast was fine, from 7.30-10.30, just simple pastries, cereal and drinks. We were on the second floor, no lift but not an issue for us, the room was good, slight strange smell once entering but the bathroom smelt nice and clean, air con worked great, a bit worn but no real complaints at all. Wifi was a bit on and off, but useful for a weather check and planning the next day. Staff were pleasant. I would return to the Pomezia, good price for a couple wanting a good location and a clean/safe place to stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Overall bad experience. I would not recommend this hotel. Dirty rooms, small room, bad service
- ANDRE (8/5): Perfect Bed... - A very clean room, the bed was perfect! It has free WiFi....friendly mgr and owner...good location, great price...about 5 blks from the Pantheon..safe neighborhood ...
- Verified traveler (2/5): ground floor room, not clean, very dirty bedsides - Worst hotel experience in europe. Especially room...not clean, humid, floor dirty, bath was broken, not clean
- Stav (6/5): - At the heart of historical centre, Piazza de Fiori and Torre Argentina, it is fine for a 2 star hotel given the age of the building. As regards the disadvantages: very narrow inner stairs and not very good breakfast, especially the coffee. Staff is friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): a few noisy neighbours - it was a basic hotel which didn't have a lift.
the breakfast was good
close to the shops
- Carlos (8/5): Don't expect anything fancy but great location! - Rooms need a critical update but the location its great, they also need to add the wifi in the rooms and not just in the lobby that's annoying for sure, breakfast its ok! but in all honesty you don't go to Europe just to stay in the hotel so to me that wasn't a big deal, once again the location its wonderful!!
- Matt (6/5): You get what you pay for... - I was traveling with friends and we were gone except to sleep. If you plan on staying in your room more, this might not be for you. The wifi only works in the lobby it won't work in your room!! Breakfast was juice, cereal, coffee.. Hotel is not close to train, either take a bus, walk or cab it. Decent location, close to some sights, expect to walk to others!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location could not be beat for this price. - Best deal for families in Rome. Wife liked the simple breakfast. Perfect for the kids (aged 11 and 8). Wifi kinda sucked as it was only available in a 10'x10' square lobby.
- mayz945 (2/5): Overpriced - 150 Euro/night for a very poor hotel. I've stayed in 2 star hotels in the middle east that were 10x better than this. The first room stunk of chemicals so we switched to another, which stunk of mole. Neither shower worked and the toilet seat was broken. The tv didnt work because the satellite wasnt set correctly. The wifi they advertise is only available if you sit at the reception desk. If they only put in a little bit of effort, they could make this a decent plane - instead the owners are obviously too lazy to fix anything, no matter how small a task. Location was pretty good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location,Roman holiday - This location was ideal for all of our sightseeing. The area around the hotel had a wonderful selection of terrific restaurants. The hotel needs to freshen up the rooms/bathrooms.The walls of our room were dirty and needed a fresh coat of paint. The bathroom needed shelves to put toiletries on. The breakfast lacked fruit and yogurt.
- lynik (6/5): great location - Hotel location great but room was very basic stuffy and towels were more like table cloths, continental breakfast okay and staff helpfull.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ideal location in Rome - The front desk was very helpful. The room & bathroom were both clean. However there is no room for your luggage and the walls are very tired and dire need of attention. Wifi in lobby only. We have spent a month in Italy and this is the only place we experienced a terrible breakfast. Very disappointing, dry bread, no toaster, no fruit or yogurt. The breakfast table cloth was very dirty and looked liked the pastry was just dumped in this grubby looking container. However, the location was good.
- Anon (2/5): Horrible! - Hair in the bidet and scum in the shower when we checked in! We were to stay three nights but left after one. We would have left immediately but we arrived late and could not get another hotel for the night.
- Typical family (10/5): Fantastic location - The location was second to none as all places to visit, e.g. the vatican colosseum pantheon etc, were all within a 20 minute stroll. Plenty of restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore rome..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Piaza Verona and Pantheon - The location is great within walking distances to major sites and restaurants. Our room had a balcony that over looked the narrow stone paved street and tiled roofs from the third floor. Could not have asked for a better ambience of Rome. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and they help you with luggage storage if you need to check out earlier than your flight departure. They also arrange a cab for you to get to the airport if needed. Overall, I would recommend for someone looking for budget hotels right in the heart of Rome.
- janet (6/5): okay - great location. No lift and we on third floor. We are pretty old lol
- MR (6/5): Perfect Location - This is an older hotel. By that I mean it has not been renovated recently. With that said the room was clean although the bathroom was a bit moldy. As far as location you can't beat it. It is right in the heart of everything. Close to shops, cafés and attractions. I don't think you can find a better hotel for the price. If you plan on spend your time in the room you may want a more plush hotel. If you plan in seeing Rome and only sleeping in the room then this is the perfect hotel.
- Sue (8/5): Great Location in Rome - Pomezia Hotel has good rates for being in the center of Rome, close to all the sight seing places. The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful & friendly when we had inquiries. We got a 3rd floor room, the only thing is that there is no elevator, but they offered to carry our laguage to the room.
- Richard (6/5): Nice hotel, center of the city - Room had a little mold in the bathroom but otherwise it was nice. Centrally located makes sightseeing easy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): scruffy hotel in great location - near campo fiorli market-- fun location. hard to find. also just 4 blocks from plaza novona NO PARKING IF DRIVING
- Verified traveler (2/5): My review - Mould on the wall and roof, booked a double room arrived to single beds, air conditioning didn't work. Pretty bad really. Good location is about best thing going for it...
- Phil (8/5): decent and reasonably priced - a little noisy at night due to location and slightly ill-fitting windows but pleasant helpful staff, adequate continental breakfast
- Tara (8/5): Great Location - Very good location and helpfull staff!!! Close to all sights and easy walking around once you get ur bearings. No fridge in the room to keep water/juice but otherwise good condition, would recommend to others
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic, perfect, affordable - Other reviewers made comments about the steep stairs, small room or nonchalant attentiveness of the front desk. Yes, the stairs were steep; no, the room was not a suite, and I didn't get a welcome hug. But this is a Solid choice. Very affordable. Neighborhood perfect. I stayed by myself whie attending a class and so for me a small room and stairs were not a problem. Very nice, very clean, I'd definitely stay again.
- Dana (8/5): Great location - We had very positive experience in Pomezia . Room very spacious, same for bathroom, there were 4 of us. Very quiet at night, lively streets outside. A/C worked great ( it was in August). It is great deal for short time 2-3 nights stay.
