• Jane (10/5): Truly tue best windows! - The location is excellent. We enjoyed Piazza San Marco at night and went out early to take great pictures. The view is unmatched! Having to check-in/checkout at a different location was annoying because it took away time from.our trip and got us outnof our route. Also, not having an option to store luggage was annoying.

• Amaris (9/5): - This stay at Best Windows was truly memorable, especially because of the incredible location and view. Waking up and seeing Piazza San Marco and the Basilica directly from the bed and windows felt absolutely magical and was honestly the highlight of our time in Venice. The view alone makes this place worth it. Overall, the room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The location could not be better for exploring Venice. The only downside was the mattress setup, since it felt like two beds pushed together, which was not the most comfortable for sleeping. Also, one of the lamps in the room looked quite old and somewhat neglected, as if it needed more attention and maintenance. Other than those details, we really enjoyed our stay. The breathtaking view and unbeatable location completely make up for it, and we would still recommend it to anyone wanting a unique experience in Venice. ———- Il soggiorno presso Best Windows è stato davvero memorabile, soprattutto grazie alla posizione incredibile e alla vista spettacolare. Svegliarsi e vedere Piazza San Marco e la Basilica direttamente dal letto e dalle finestre è stato qualcosa di magico ed è stato senza dubbio il momento più speciale del nostro soggiorno a Venezia. Solo la vista vale assolutamente la pena. In generale, la camera era spaziosa, comoda e molto pulita. Anche la posizione è perfetta per visitare Venezia. L’unico aspetto negativo era il materasso, perché sembravano due letti uniti e non era comodissimo per dormire. Inoltre, una delle lampade della stanza appariva piuttosto vecchia e un po’ trascurata, come se avesse bisogno di maggiore manutenzione e attenzione. Per il resto abbiamo davvero apprezzato il soggiorno. La vista mozzafiato e la posizione eccezionale compensano completamente questi piccoli dettagli, e lo consiglierei comunque a chi desidera vivere un’esperienza unica a Venezia. • Veronica (8/5): Great location, lovely view, beautiful decor. - Location is excellent you are in the centre of St Marks’s Square close to Doge Palace & 2 minutes from San Marco Ferry port. 60 steps up to the apartment. Shower didn’t fit on hook so had to hold shower head. Bath had no stopper so couldn’t use it. Shower screen over bath too high makes getting in & out of bath very awkward.

• Lourdes (4/5): Enttäuschen - Wir haben am Anfang ein Zimmer gebucht und mit ein paar Wochen bevor wir fliegen wollten wurde uns gesagt dass das Zimmer nicht mehr verfügbar wäre, entweder eine Storno oder die suchten für uns eine Unterkunft mit dem gleichen Preis. Mit zu wenig Zeit hatten wir keine Möglichkeit. Wir sind in einem Zimmer/ Apartment gelandet mit einem alten Ausrüstung . Alles, Die Haustür von dem Apartment konnte man noch einfach schließen, so laut draußen und sehr alt alles.

We did like decor too. And sound of the bell tower 😍 There no AC till the May. Everything is centralized. Same about central heating during cold season. So it may be hot during day if you come in April. Or cold if you come in fall. We had to open windows. And sure you get bugs inside too. Stairs! Get ready to care all your bags up on top floor.

• Kenneth (9/5): Lovely room, great location! - The loction was unbelievable looking out the window over Piazza San Marco, couldn't be better. The room was really nice and spacious. Also very clean and comfortable. No lift which wasn't great with luggage but worth it for the view. Also it was a little awkward getting in and out of the shower. Wouldn't recommend if you struggle with mobility at all.

• Ruta (10/5): The view from the window was amazing. - I really enjoyed my stay at Best Windows Hotel. I have no complaints at all – everything was great. Even if something wasn’t perfect, the view from the window made up for everything. I highly recommend paying a few extra euros for a room with a view – it’s absolutely worth it! One small thing that was slightly annoying was the sound of the bells, but at the same time it actually added to the Venice vibe and a sense of romance.

• Lukas (9/5): Amazing view and location! - Amazing view and location! You are in centre so everything us arround 10 minites max. Room was huge with a lot of space. Furniture needs deep clean refresh especially sofas and bed frame. Pillows are so thin and hard that your slee will not find you here. Prepare yourself that clock tower where are you sleep starts ring at 6am until midnigh.

We specifically put in a request months ago for a room overlooking the square. Consequently we go t a confirmation that our request could be arranged However, upon reaching the hotel we were told the room overlooking the swuare were not available and the request would be denied.

The room was too warm and we couldn’t turn the heating down. We opened the window which was fine until the bells started ringing on the hour from 4am.

• Julie (1/5): Didn't get to stay at Best Windows as hotel chain moved me to an inferior hotel, making complaint - I carefully selected Best Windows some weeks ago for a trip celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, but less than 48 hours before our stay I received a message saying the room was no longer available due to 'big problems' with the property. I was offered an alternative 'superior' room in another of the hotel chain's properties at a discounted rate and was told this would be the Hotel Antico Panada. When I arrived to check in it was chaos and I had to wait more than 30 minutes. The room was dark and shabby and I had to use the lift and stairs to reach it and go down a dark, narrow corridor. The person at check-in was unable to tell me what discount I would receive and said I would need to email 'the management'. I went back to reception to check on the room rate and was belittled by the person on reception in front of other guests. He said he couldn't tell me as this might contradict management's response. I asked him to call his 'management' and he said he had no way of contacting them. After some discussion he did make a call and offered to show us a different room at another hotel. This was a room at the nearby Hotel San Zulian and it was much better/newly refurbished, but still not what we had paid for, i.e. no view onto San Marco square, no balcony, hardly any furniture, etc. The final insult came at check-out. I had asked the day before whether reception was open 24 hours per day, as I needed to check out at 5am for my flight. I was told yes, but when I cam to check out there was no-one there and the door was locked. I rang the doorbell numerous times but no response. I made my way to Hotel Antico Panada, as I knew they were the same hotel chain and their staff also worked at the Zulian. The person at this hotel's reception refused to take the key and said I would need to go back and keep pressing the bell.

La camera pulita, calda e silenziosa nonostante la posizione centralissima. Personale cordiale e disponibile! Consigliatissimo!!! L’arredo un po’ vecchiotto, il letto non comodissimo e i cuscini un po’ duri. Lo scarico del bagno funzionava ma non benissimo.

Mencionan que hay una sala de estar en el segundo piso con vista a la plaza San Marco que ya no existe pues se convirtió en habitación y también mencionan un hidromasaje que no funciona. Podrían aclarar ese aspecto pues sigue siendo un muy bue lugar. Pero no tiene recepción. Hay que ir por las llaves al hotel Panada a unas cuadras, allí me atendió una persona muy desagradable en el check in pero en el check out otra persona estaba de turno y fue super amable. No se puede bajar la calefacción y estaba un poco caluroso.

The room was lovely and toasty, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was very well maintained and a nice size. The mattress was very comfy. Room cleaned daily. It's on the third floor so expect stairs. The bells ring till midnight and start again at 7. Bit of a surprise the first night but you quickly get used to them and they add to the oldie world charm.

• 77stefanis (2/5): Find another place to stay . - Unfortunately, our stay was significantly impacted by poor handling of a basic comfort issue. On the evening we checked in, the room temperature was set to 21°C, which was uncomfortably cold. We immediately went to reception and were told that the hotel uses a central system that allows staff to adjust room temperatures remotely. We were assured the issue would be fixed, so we returned to the room and went out, assuming the matter was resolved. When we came back a few hours later, the temperature was still unchanged. We then called the emergency number left on the door and were again told the issue would be taken care of. By the next morning, the temperature had only increased to 22°C, which was still not comfortable. We returned to reception the following morning and raised the issue again. Two staff members were sent to the room, but they only looked at the air conditioning unit, did not speak English, and clearly did not know why they were there. Nothing was adjusted, and the problem continued. It took four visits to reception and multiple phone calls within less than 24 hours before the room temperature was finally brought to a comfortable level. What made the situation worse was the attitude of one staff member, Paolo, who made dismissive and inappropriate comments, stating that the temperature was “comfortable for everyone” and implying that we should not complain given the price paid and the view. This was unprofessional and unnecessary. A simple issue took far too long to resolve and caused unnecessary discomfort during our first night. While the location is great, the lack of effective support and the way the situation was handled left us very disappointed.
