• Fiorella (8/5): - The hotel is really close to the Museum Square, which is a must-see spot in the city. The breakfast was really nice, there was a bit of everything and the staff was kind and ready to answer all our questions. To access the upper floors, the only option is to use the stairs which are very much in Dutch style, so a bit narrow and definitely steep. If, like me, you're traveling with parents over 65 y/o or with infants/young chilfren, this is something worth taking into consideration.

Il bagno pulito e funzionale, ottima la doccia. Le lenzuola erano pulite ed é stato fatto il cambio asciugamani il giorno dopo. Soddisfatta anche della colazione, con una buona scelta sia dolce che salata, anche di buona qualità. Per un hotel due stelle non potevo desiderare di meglio, e sono stata molto bene, dovessi tornare ad Amsterdam lo sceglierei di nuovo. Mentre il bagno l'ho trovato molto pulito, consiglio allo staff di prestare attenzione alla pulizia dei mobili in camera, la piccola scrivania e l'armadio non erano puliti, c'erano impronte e macchie che potevano pulirsi facilmente, ció mi fa intuire che durante le pulizie i mobili forse non vengono puliti, basterebbe passare un panno umido e un disinfettante. Da migliorare anche i cuscini che non sono molto comodi e consiglio di rinnovare gli asciugamani. Sulle scale, visto le recensioni ero preoccupata, ma si fanno tranquillamente (io ero al terzo piano), certo avevo uno zaino, chi ha le valigie soprattutto di grandi dimensioni potrebbe essere problematico.

• florence (3/5): Cet hôtel pourrait avoir du potentiel, dommage que le service ne suive pas. - La situation géographique et l'accès en transport en commun idéal. Très petite chambre au sous sol, lit minuscule pour dormir avec mon fils 1M40, oreillers très inconfortables. Pas de visibilité extérieure, pas de lumière et pas d'air. Les alentours et l'arrière du lit pas nettoyé, énormément de toiles d'araignée même sur le sol. Le petit déjeuné très sommaire pour le prix.

• Andrew (4/5): Mixed blessing - The bathroom was clean. The room was reasonable. The breakfast was as expected.. the location was great. The staff were so so. Tried to charge me for checking in after midnight, despite my warning then ahead of time. Charged me for coffee from the machine. Charged me for renting a bicycle twice - different amounts each time: no explanation. The room was in the basemen, under the kitchen. Not terrible, but no air and not much light. The desk was too small comfortably to work at. There were noises that kept me awake and woke me up. I likely won't go back. If I do, I'll insist on a first floor room., not higher because there's no lift.

Fire alarms woke us up at 3am and then after that residents were loud outside the door. Paid £100 deposit and still have not received it after a month!

• Aaffien Cornelia (7/5): - Perfecte plek om Amsterdam te ontdekken. Ligt vlakbij museumplein, Albert Cuyp markt. We sliepen met 3 personen op een kamer, was erg ruim. We hadden geen ontbijt erbij gedaan, helemaal prima, in de buurt zitten genoeg tentjes. Kussens waren hard. Maar dat is persoonlijk. Basic badkamer, douche wastafel en wc, alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Wel 2 steile trappen op, maar was te doen. Parkeren is vrij prijzig. Wij hebben hem in Qpark museumplein gezet. Waren voor ruim 24u, 55 euro kwijt. Maar dan staat de auto wel afgesloten. Moesten wel 100 euro borg betalen.

Good location, close to tram and easy cycle to center. The room was on 4th floor, I was with a child and there was no lift. No other rooms were available but I was surprised that they assigned a room at 4th floor knowing I’m traveling with child. The room was small, broken window and no blinds on the windows. There was a gap between the corridor and our room, I tripped twice and injured my knee. Very unsafe. Overpriced breakfast.

Safety and Accessibility ​While your description mentions the absence of a lift, it fails to disclose the hazardous nature of the four-flight climb. For a guest new to Amsterdam, a "traditional staircase" does not adequately communicate a significant safety risk. Furthermore, the recurring failure of our room key forced us to navigate these dangerous stairs unnecessarily on multiple occasions. This was not merely an inconvenience; it was a physical hazard that directly led to our need to upgrade to a safer room. ​2. Misrepresentation of Facilities ​Regarding the bathroom, the description of a "separate bathroom" implies a standard level of utility. The reality—a space so cramped it mirrors an aircraft lavatory and prevents comfortable use—was not communicated. A "basic description" should not be used to omit significant spatial limitations that impact the basic functionality of the room. ​3. Refund Request and Deposit Status ​Because the upgrade was a matter of physical safety and basic necessity rather than a luxury preference, I am maintaining my request for a refund of the upgrade fee. ​Additionally, I have yet to receive my security deposit. Please provide the exact date this was processed and the expected timeframe for the funds to appear in my account. ​4. Moving Forward ​I would prefer to resolve this matter directly and amicably with the hotel. However, if we cannot reach a fair agreement regarding the upgrade costs, I will feel it is my responsibility to share my experience—including photos of the hazardous stairs and the bathroom dimensions—on public review platforms and travel forums to ensure future travelers can make a fully informed decision.

• Jonna (7/5): Gut aber teuer - Die Unterkunft war ganz in Ordnung wie man es in Holland kennt. Die Lage war sehr gut da man relativ zentral in der Stadt war. Jedoch finde ich es sehr teuer. Die Parkplätze sind direkt vor Hotel aber unfassbar teuer. Das war wirklich sehr schade

• Jennifer (4/5): I was in my budget at the time, however I would not stay here again. - The location of the hotel was amazing- super quick walk to the museums and easy to hop on the train/bus! I already knew about the narrow, step stair before I booked- so I aware of that. You could hear everything! I heard people going up and down the stairs, shutting their doors and talking on and off all night. My friend who was staying in the room across the hall from me advised that I turned on my fan, however the fan in my room was FILTHY!! There was also a strip of lights above my headboard that didn't turn off. It was just hard to get a good night's sleep.

Room didn't come with a personal bathroom and shower, there was a deposit to pay on arrival that isn't mentioned on the site. Little under whelming unfortunately for what we paid. Size of the room also halved due to the roofing. We stayed on the top floor dont bring luggage as you need to carry it all the way up.

The bathroom mirror is peeling, and the socket and light switch are covered with layers of dirt and mold. Even the toilet brush has no handle. The smell spreads throughout the hotel.

Laute und steile Treppenstufen. Hellhörig, aber es ging in der Nacht. Tiefe Fenster komplett ohne Sicherheitsgitter!
