- 725kellyt725 (4/5): Try booking.com - Stayed here for 5 nights and i will give pro's and con's. Pro's The place is very clean and that is a must for me. The cleaners are really nice and friendly and do a great job. Older man in restaurant is very friendly. The shower is fantastic very powerful. The area is not far from everything i.e walking distance to the Grand Bazar and other sights. OLD TOWN The tram is at the bottom of street. Con's The food is terrible if you are English chicken soup, salad, vegetables. A very Turkish breakfast not continental which was a big let down for us. The rooms are so small you cannot lay your suitcase out and move around the room, the pictures are very deceiving so do not be fooled. There is no hanging space hardly, literally a small cupboard the width of hanger (not exaggerating) everything has to stay in the suitcase. Rooms are very noisy. Reception: the man is very arrogant and rude wanted to sell trips, expensive restaurants as people said previously, very unhelpful and unapproachable, would consider getting a lady as this is a massive put off. Always a miserable face like he is doing you a favour. The hotel in photos looks amazing, it is ok, although they keep the lights off in reception and around the hotel which we found a real put off. Honestly I would not go back. Please check out booking.com there are some amazing hotels on there if you can and closer it got for us 5 nights away rooms were coming up so cheap. Sorry for the honest review, hope this helps someone.
- Flyer266932 (4/5): Not trust worthy - The hotel was in a good location and adequate for a two day stay while visiting the city, however we were given such poor recommendations for places to eat and things to do that we felt like an easy mark. We arrived tired and hungry after a 10 hour flight. We took their recommendation for a restaurant under the bridge for dinner. We ended up ordering only one entree and a bottle of wine for $450 (a lot more than we would normally spend. We complained to staff at the hotel for not warning us about the cost only to find they gave the same recommendation to friends who arrived two days later. Definitely can’t be trusted.
- APad_from_Perth (6/5): Overall comfortable, but a bit noisy on 6th floor (immediately below the restaurant), is overpriced and under quality. - Hotel is as would be expected in this price range, comfortable bed, limited hanging space, good bathroom but nowhere to lay out a suitcase. Breakfasts are good (they were included in the room deal by my your company. However, don’t even think about having dinner in the top floor restaurant…. Over priced and under value.. was charged 30 euros each for canned soup, limited Bain-marie hot food (it wasn’t) and a limited range of salads. Take a tip, walk out onto the street, turn left and walk 100m to a range of good eateries at realistic prices.

Breakfast was included which was pleasant on the top floor of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable if a tad small, although we each had a room. It was close to restaurants and a train station
- caramellokoala (10/5): Prime location in Old Town - We spent four nights here, two pre tour and two post tour, and we were very comfortable; it was great and we loved the views from the breakfast room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. It’s located in the old town, perfectly positioned for exploring. The mini bar prices were very reasonable. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul.
- C3228WYrobertp (2/5): Rip off - A total shake down began at the desk when we asked for a taxi could get us a taxi but at 3 times the cost we found for our self tried overcharging on my beers 5 for 4 haha nope and then tried charging us 25 euros for a buffet that closed at 10pm and we arrived at 9.40pm no mention of this until the wife was sat down eating a small plate as nothing left 😀 😄 small rooms try charging you for using the mini bar when we had nothing out of the mini bar a total rip start to finish rooms are clean enough people nice enough just have yours eyes open and mark every thing down or be prepared to be ripped off
- src1948 (6/5): OK but nothing special - We stayed for two nights as part of a tour group and it was perfectly acceptable for a small city centre hotel, but nothing special. The room was small and dark, but OK for two nights. The restaurant was the main downside, with staff pushing the very mediocre evening buffet, and a la carte dishes slow to arrive and disappointing when they did. Better to eat at one of the nearby restaurants. Staff were all pleasant and helpful.

- Colin (10/5): A great stay... - The hotel is located in a commercial area but tbis does not detract from the hotel's eSy access to the Metro and Tram, just minutes away. The hotel is comfortable ans spotless. The room we had was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. The walk in shower was excellent...lots of hot water. The breakfast was typical of Istanbul lots of choices ...cheese, olives etc. It certainly helped set us up for the day. Just to let you know that this was our 5th stay at this hotel. We probably would stay here again if we return to Istanbul.

Das Frühsrück ist leider sehr wenig Abwechselungsreich, auch wenn das Essen sehr lecker ist so ist sie nach 7 Tagen, immer das Gleiche, dann doch ein wenig langweilig. Sehr viele Dinge kosten extra, was leider in der Hotelbeschreibung so nicht explizit erwähnt wird. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und schön ruhig. Trotzdem ist die Altstadt in ca. 15 min zu Fuß zu erreichen und Die ÖVM sind 5 min fußläufig entfernt.

- Rashid (2/5): Terrible hotel with rude staff - My stay at Yigitalp Hotel can be summarised in one word, horrendous. We booked two standard rooms but got two different rooms (one was much smaller than the other), the morning staff were very rude and refused to change the room on the first day. The air conditioning cooling system is turned off by the hotel in the early morning hours. The elevators got stuck and were never fixed. The rooms smelled like bad perfume and the cleanliness was ok, not to mention the really small TV’s ( I’m talking smaller than a laptop’s screen). The roads leading to the hotel are closed in the daytime. I would not recommend that anyone stays at this hotel.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Average - I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in December 2017. As a Turkish traveler, I didn’t like the way personnel behaves towards native tourists. The rooms were quite narrow but i don’t see it as a big issue. Bedclothes have rips and tears on them. Food was not fresh and tasteful. If you only look for somewhere to sleep in, I’d recommend considering price - performance.

Die Zimmer sind großzügig gestaltet jedoch sehr hellhörig. Man kann den Zimmernachbarn quasi beim schnarchen hören. Unser Zimmer roch nach Zigarettenrauch was für uns als Nichtraucher sehr unangenehm war. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig uns lecker.

- Jürg (8/5): Schönes Hotel im geschäftigen Stadtteil Laleli - Ich war sicher schon das 5. Mal in diesem Hotel und kann es bestens weiterempfehlen! Es liegt im geschäftigen Viertel Laleli mit unzähligen Geschäften für Kleider, Lederwaren, Apotheken, Schmuck etc. Der grosse Bazar ist maximal 10 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Der Weg zur Strassenbahn beträgt vielleicht 3 Minuten. Zum goldenen Horn mit der Strassenbahn vielleicht 10-15 Minuten. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr freundlich. Ich konnte eine halbe Stunde früher einchecken und eine ganze Stunde später auschecken und das unentgeltlich. Speziell zu erwähnen ist der sehr freundliche Chef beim Frühstücksbuffet, der schon seit 20 Jahren im Hotel tätig ist. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet ist für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse sehr gut. Generell hat das Hotel ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich werde noch viele Male in diese Hotel gehen. Ideale Lage zum shoppen und für Sightseeing. Bestens weiterzuempfehlen!

We stayed in a room with three beds which are all European sized. Can't ask for American size rooms or beds.....Very nice, clean and odorfree room... Staff was very friendly...The complementary breakfast was two thumbs up. I rated it 5 in all categories.... Highly recommended
- Ahmed Elamawy (8/5): Good location - The Hotel is good overall with convenient access to all attractions in the Old City. The main Issue I had was the smell of smoke in the room. I do not smoke. The room smelled like it was occupied by smokers or maybe the smell of some came thru the A/C vents. The rooms and furniture are old but clean. All in all it is a good value for the money.

- Ivan Iz-vanov (8/5): Great Hotel for Historical Visitors - Helpfull Personel and very Clean Hotel. Location is ver good and Metro is only 100 m. far from Hotel. Good and quality Breakfast with lot's of variant. You can find what you want in 4 star Hotel.
- Patrick (4/5): Topkapi, Blue Mosque, St. Sophie - Nice little Hammam in the hotel (not cheap, but convienient), They charged my room (1.5eur) for a call to reserve a table - first time that has happened to me in my life. but is says all about the service on the hotel and most places in Instanbul. If they can they will rip you off - so be very careful you have insist on paying market price and you have to know before or they will take your money. Especially taxis - if they see you with a suitcase they smell blood.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Breakfast was the highlight - The room was good and clean, nothing flashy, but good quality. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The wireless connection, however, was slow, so I had to pay for the use of their computers. Breakfast was better than most American hotel cont'l breakfasts, nice intro to Turkish breakfast. The neighborhood wasn't the best, in the downtown shopping district. Not the safest to walk around later at night.

Hotel was very clean, and reception staff were ery helpful. breakfast was good. room was small but had every thing you need. a short distance from all the main sights. Like a very good 3 star city hotel in Ireland. would vist again
- John (6/5): A bit off to the side - Hotel is OK but situated a bit far from dining and attractions.
- Christine (2/5): Bad Experience - The room was terrible. We will never stay at this hotel again. The room didn't feel clean and it was not like the picture on the internet at all. We found the front desk personell very rude. The window looked out on an alley full of garbage and into the building next door. I can't tell you how disapointed we were.
