Still I’d def come b - Location was fantastic, right next to a shopping mall with an entrance within the building. In the basement of the shopping mall is one of the entrances to the subway. Very convenient and central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Slightly old, the place doesn’t look like the Oakwood we are used to as it’s simpler and older furnishings. But still comfortable and clean so we enjoyed our stay. Kitchen not that well equipped, had no cleaning sponge and dishwashing liquid which I thought would be basic for a kitchen. We bought our own at the mall tho, for very cheap.

• Sean (5/5): Great Service, Convenient Location, Comfort level Very Poor - Staff were very accommodating and did their best. Jack shen was a stand out and his English was very good. Imago mall that links to the hotel is extremely convenient. Unfortunately the bed was like sleeping on the ground. My family and I travel 3 months a year and have never come across a bed this hard in a professional establishment. The first night I couldn't sleep at all and there was no foam mattress topper so the solution was to get 2 down blankets folded in half and put them on my side of the bed. What that resulted in was one side of the bed being at least 6 inches higher than the other so I couldn't sleep next to my wife. Overall this didn't fully fix the problem and it was the least comfortable experience I've ever had in a hotel anywhere in the world. Also the place is large but extremely worn out and in need of a renovation so the photos present far better than reality. The patio was extremely dirty and needs to be mopped between guests...I went outside to hang clothes and my feet were covered in dust that signified it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. If the bed was like any other hotel I've been in china then i would give it a 6.5 rating.
• Kim (9/5): Great stay! - Superb location - smack right next to a shopping mall and metro station. Shopping mall is a little small and quiet but has everything we need (eateries, supermarket-hema from alibaba group, miniso, massage, etc). It was easy to get a "didi" (a private hailing app in China) as well. Staffs were extremely friendly, and explained everything in detail upon check-in. Housekeeping were awesome as well. Beds were comfortable with plenty of power sockets. Lots of space for a family of 8 in a 3 bedroom suite. CS is prompt with responses via app and mostly accommodative with requests and they can accept taobao packages on behalf as well. Overall, it was a great and comfortable stay for my family. The rooms were a little dated and bathroom floors were a little slippery for our liking. Internet is a little unstable and is not VPN friendly.

• Tau (7/5): Great service staff but a little disappointed with the aging interiors and - -Very spacious - Comfortable beds and pillows - Washing machine and dryer - Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. - Well equipped gym - Located close to subway station, about 5 minutes walk, Line 14. Also located on to of a small surburban mall with a food court on the lower ground floor, which is perfect for those who arrive from another city late and don’t want to travel far to look for food - Helpful and friendly staff, from the receptionist to the single waitress at the breakfast. - Aging interiors. The rooms smell old but after we opened some of the windows to ventilate, it smelt better - No toothbrush provided or shower cap provided - Location is too far from all the attractions, about 30 mins on the subway to Nanjing Street, so for a first time visitor to Shanghai, I would probably prefer to stay closer. - Breakfast is very very basic. It felt like it was a breakfast spread for their staff, rather than for guests. Very disappointing.

• Yan (7/5): Could have been much better if they provide better self-service laundry solution - Overall the hotel has good, clean, and large rooms. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to dining. The biggest negative is the 2-in-1 washier in the room. The first one simply didn't work. The hotel staffs were very friendly and replaced it within hours. However the 2-in-1 laundry unit doesn't dry the fabrics well. It's kind of NEVER truly dry. I had to set up chairs on the balcony to air dry my clothing. Luckily I was there in summer with sunny weather. I chose a service apartment over a hotel primarily for self-served laundry, which is likely the case for most. The 2-in-1 laundry machine doesn't really meet what I need. I think the hotel should provide real solution for self-served laundry.

Dlx. unit Plus washer. Daily housekeeping among other services makes this a perfect stay. Wish they had long term rate discounts

Because it is so convenient that it felt like a home.great bed ample storage space.comfortable good size living rooms .staff is friendly and happy .most of them are well spoken English. Also we can contact them through wechat .the response is promptly. Local market is across the road .you can shop groceries and amenities in very reasonable price .buffet breakfast is medicore. However it is nice a quiet and cleaned 👌 😌 👍. Would highly recommended for family stay .

• dailow (10/5): Awesome hotel and staff! - I always stay at Oakwood whenever I visit Shanghai! This hotel is right on top of a shopping center so that theater and supermarket are so close by! The hotel it self is well maintained, managed by the best general manager Jimmy. Jimmy is a wonderful person who takes his guests seriously! Someone whom you can count on that will solve all your needs and works out solutions! Under Jimmy’s management, all other staff are awesome as well! I would love to thank Susie, made my staying so much nicer and enjoyable! Love the gym, top line TechnoGym! Comfy mattress! Will definitely come back!
• KBSG90 (10/5): Great service and lovely atmosphere. - Oakwood shanghai is a lovely serviced apartment with access to breakfast and. 24h gym. Their service is great and the atmosphere is lovely. They are cursed by an awkward location as it is central in the city, but still far to get into the parts you want to go. Would recommend staying here for business and long term.

• Balibagai (10/5): A warm, cozy and comfortable place to stay. - Jimmy, the General Manager, has been leading a very successful service team by treating their guests as family members. Wherever I was in the building, they recognize me, greeted me, chatted with me and smiled at me. It's a really warm, cozy and comfortable experience of a busy trip which makes me feel relaxed. Thanks to the driver Mr. Zhou, the room attendant, the breakfast attendant, the front deak team, the security team and Jimmy!
• damiankristy (10/5): Fabulous Team & Beaut Place - What a great experience, from checking in to checking out & hopping in the car to the airport. Starting from Jimmy Teo, the GM personally greeting us at reception when we checked in. Being a sceptic I was wondering if this personal touch was an exception but we happily proved wrong. All the team members are so nice and made us feel so welcome, no request was a problem and the team always helped us with smiles and such a positive can do attitude. From the House Keeping team always wanting to play with our 2 year old and puppy while cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces so carefully. The patience of the engineer helping to explain the functions of the apartment appliances to us and how to use them. BTW, appliances aplenty, fully self contained and what a beaut full sized fan forced oven. Certainly gave that 1 a work out! Also the dishwasher was so handy. Another mention goes the the concierge, what legends. Our luggage included everything including the kitchen sink and smiles all the the way up at checkin and again all the way down again at check out. To make this happen across all functions I guess it is Mr Teo leading by example. He was always engaging my family at brekky, even made a little card for our son with a hand drawn cartoon and sent him some yummy biscuits. Really made us all feel so welcome and at home. Would we stay again in the Oakwood Shanghai Residence, you bet! Would we recommend it to other family’s, you bet!
• GreggHerrin (10/5): Great long-term residence for us, and short-term accommodation for visitors - We stayed at the Oakwood during an ex-pat assignment to Shanghai. The apartment itself was very comfortable, with all of the necessary furniture and amenities, and still plenty of space for our belongings. They were even able to reconfigure one of our rooms to serve as a home-office, which made it far more comfortable on many late-night calls with the Americas. On several occasions we had guests visiting from various other countries, and the ability for them to book short-term stays in the same building was perfect. The location was also perfect for us - a little bit away from the busiest parts of the city, but with many good restaurants in the adjoining mall and several nearby grocers, fruit markets, and other vendors. And with several metro stations nearby, we never had any trouble getting anywhere in the city. The staff was always available and extremely helpful (in English and Mandarin), and common areas were always clean and tidy. The management also hosted several fun events, which made it easier to meet other residents, who came from countries all over the world. We would gladly stay there again - we really miss our Shanghai apartment!
• davidlim11 (10/5): Wonderful Experience! - I have lived in Oakwood Residence in Shanghai since last year. The one-bedroom apartment size is pretty big compared to other service apartments. Everyone, including their service staff and management team are super friendly, warm and helpful. It’s a nice place to live in for me. You could tell that the General Manager and his team made sure that they create an environment that their guests feel at home (away from home). Jimmy who is the General Manager is a great host, he is very helpful and attends to every guests, he shares all he knows about the area with his guests to make their stay a memorable one. The apartment I stayed was just perfect - I loved the apartment layout, in addition to the beautiful skyline of the city, with a kitchen that contains everything one needs. The bed is comfortable, bathroom is spacious and functional. I found this place to be very clean, comfortable, and perfect sized for 1 to 2 people as well as a family for 4 or 5 (2-bedrooms or 3-bedrooms size apartments). Location is incredible, it’s literally a 5 minute walk to the metro station. The neighbourhood outside the apartment had a lot of life within walking distance to awesome bars and restaurants. I have lived here for 8 months, and in that time, I have experienced on numerous occasions, the hospitality and excellent service of Oakwood Residence whereby ‘nice, cosy, friendly and a warm living community’ is an understatement. Would absolutely recommend to stay there! Recently, I have relocated back to Hong Kong from Shanghai. I had a great stay! I am looking forward to staying here again one day.
• donkeytales (10/5): Comfortable stay with baby - Stayed in studio executive room with 7.5 months baby for 18 nights. Good location 5-10mins walk to Caoyang Station and direct access to Imago shopping mall. Room facilities were adequate in terms of preparing milk and meals for baby and there is washing machine too. Bathing baby was a bit troublesome as there is no bath tub so we bought a stool from nearby Carrefour as an improvise. Staff were friendly and helpful. We received a hand written postcard and welcome fruits when we arrived. I like the personal touch they strive to give their guests. Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The service is impeccable and the size of the rooms so clean, huge and nice that I could invite friends over for drinks every night.. Honestly after this experience I won't go to any hotels.. It's spacious and security and convenience of locality were great. It's just a Stine throw away from the mall that has numerous retail and restaurants to choose from.. I'm coming back this year to Shanghai and spot on I will definitely stay at oakwood residences again for sure

• laurabX4961ZA (10/5): Great stay at the Oakwood Residence - The service at the Oakwood was simply exceptional: everyone, from Jimmy, Helen and Jack, the team at the front desk, housekeeping, security, engineering and the rest of the staff was always ready and eager to help, no matter what it was about. The location is very convenient, as the Oakwood Residence is connected to a shopping mall that provides everything one needs and there are two metro stations nearby. The room size was more than sufficient and the rooms were very well equipped. What I liked best about my stay was that everyone made me feel very welcome; they really did a lot to provide a home away from home, not least events like the Christmas party, which was also a good opportunity to meet other long-term residents.

• 286204 (10/5): Amazing stay - We have stayed here for business several times for about 4-6 days. The rooms are huge, clean and has everything you need. I used the gym every day and ate their wonderful breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend staying here.

Check-in/check-out was a breeze and the staff was very experienced to ensure everything went smooth. Particularly pleased with the airport transfer service as well and it made the experience all the more better!

• Verified traveler (4/5): 내가 알던 오크우드가 아님 - 오크우드라길래 기대하고 갔는데 정말 별로였어요 방은 넓고 큰데 주방이나 테이블 등등 먼지에 위생상태가 별로였고 특히 욕실은 벽도 지저분하고 물때가 껴있어서 샤워하기 꺼려질 정도였습니다 수건도 바꿔줬는데 자국있는 지저분한 수건이 오기도 했구요 지역자체가 레지던스 지역이라 외국인 투숙객 거의 없고 중국분들이 장기투숙하는 레지던스, 아파트 느낌이었습니다. 조식도 그럭저럭이었는데 거의가 중국인 노인부부들이더라구요 ㅡㅡ 근처에 있는 지하철 11호선은 지옥철입니다 출퇴근시 이용시 넘 사람이 많고 혼잡한 노선이었어요

• KAORI (10/5): 広くてゆったり。安心できるホテル - 観光中心エリアではないけれど、静安寺などへバスで1本で行けるしタクシーもすぐつかまるエリアなのでちょっと静かにステイしたい人にはおススメです。60平米超とお部屋も広くキッチン、洗濯機もついていて自分の部屋のように使えます。ベランダに椅子もあり夜帰ってきてゆっくりできるので定宿にしています。 隣のモールには地下にスーパー、パン屋さんもあり、上にはカジュアルなレストランにカフェもあるので、 ご飯にもお茶にも困りません。一人でも入れるので、ビジネスで行く人に向いているかもしれません。 中国ではシーツやタオルがよくよく見ると汚れてる等、結構ありますが、ここでは一度もなく、安心できるホテルです。

• Glenda (2/5): Very Rude Night Front Desk Staff - The reason I am rating this Oakwood a 1-star is because of the night front desk staff. She was extremely rude~I have never encountered a hotel staff this rude and I travel a lot for work and pleasure! For almost $250/night hotel, I wasn't expecting this terrible service. We got to the hotel late at night (almost midnight) to check in after a long flight. We're a family of 4 (2 kids of 11 and 16 years old). It is our first time in Shanghai so we had a few questions about the area but she said she doesn't speak English (and did not even try to help answer any of our concerns). We also had a flight to Beijing early morning, and we had to leave the hotel at 5 am. This same rude front desk staff was so upset because we had to wake her up to ask for help with a taxi to the airport. I will not stay here again~very disappointing for we stayed at other Oakwood in different Asian countries and the service was so much better than this one in Shanghai.

• Yen ling (8/5): 令人愉快的住宿經驗 - 飯店人員服務待度良好,有耐心接受詢問,但一樓服務人員經常不在,有事時還是要回五樓大廳請服務人員協助,一房三室非常適合好友同遊,有共同空間也可以有私人休息的臥房,酒店旁有我格廣場想購買食物或東西也很方便,房內的整潔有些沒有做好,備品置放的地方有灰層,客廳地上有一點點前房客的食物屑殘留,但整體是令人愉快的住宿經驗

• Sushil (8/5): Business stay at Oakwood Shanghai - Stayed at Oakwoods' 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment looked nothing like the photos on the website so that was very disappointing. But were still very nice. The description says 3 king size beds but realistically the apartment had one master bedroom with a king size bed and the other rooms were very small with much smaller double beds, which would not be very comfortable for two. Staff and service was very good, with really helpful and polite people. The Hotel is conveniently located and you could go anywhere in almost 20 mins.

• DAESIK (6/5): 권하고 싶지 않음 - 3개월 정도 있었습니다. 신천지와 인민광자 근처이라는 점, 객실이 다소 넓다는 것 말고는 별로입니다. 근처 클럽이 많아 시끄럽습니다. 리뉴얼했다고 하나, 히터를 틀면 머리가 아픕니다. 가격을 고려해 볼 때, 별로 권하고 싶지 않습니다. 조식은 메뉴가 아주 단초롭습니다. 5~6가지 매뉴 중 하나를 선택해서 매일 먹어야 합니다. 다이어트를 원하시거나, 건강식을 원하는 분은 좋겠네요. 보증금 취소와 리펀드가 제때에 처리되지 않아 애를 많이 먹습니다. 11월초에 퇴실했는데, 12월말 현재 아직도 처리되고 있지 않습니다. 안내데스크의 관리자들이 고객을 대하는게 엉망임. 고객에게 오직 보증금, 선불 납부만 원하지 고객서비스에 대한 다른 일체의 관심이 없음
• MarSur (10/5): Good value for service apartment. - I like the service apartment. Utensils were clean, bathroom good condition. Washing machine/dryer was very good condition. However when I checked out, the service was very fair. The front desk staff looked sloppy. One of the staff ( a young man) was disheveled looking, had his coat draped on the chair and looked as if he just woke up. The other staff (lady) was working at slow rate. The front desks allow other checking out clients (local clients, not foreign) to cut queue while I queued for a good 10 mins. When it comes to my turn, I was asked to hand in the key card & leave and they will do the check out (cancellation of deposit) later -( like what they would do to the cut-queue clients,) in my absence! What an unsatisfying and disappointing way to conclude an excellent stay! Your staff looks demotivated and unhappy at front desk. I had better check out experience in 2-3 star hotels in China. I hope you will improve your service, after all you are a 5-star internationally branded hotel.
