Guest Reviews
- Fearless689077 (2/5): Poor hospitality. - Samer, the receptionist is not helpful. He took a long time check us in. Very disappointed.
He was also on his mobile while we were waiting.
- 618souravb (10/5): Best of Best . Neat and clean . Staff is really good @ mohmmad irfan( security), @ omaar ( reception) and all cleaning s - Best of Best . Neat and clean . Staff is really good @ mohmmad irfan( security), @ omaar ( reception) and all cleaning staff.

- jennifertheexplorer (10/5): Convenient Location and Friendly Service - This hotel apartment is ideal for families or friends who want to stay in the heart of Abu Dhabi. It's within walking distance of the Corniche and conveniently accessible to everything. Misheryl at the reception was very accommodating from check-in to check-out.
- belled868 (10/5): Wonderful Experience - We were upgraded to a one-bedroom for free, which was a wonderful surprise and made our stay even better. Misheryl was really friendly and helpful throughout our visit—she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Great service and a great experience overall!
- Antoine (10/5): - The property location is near by the heart of Abu Dhabi and easy to get a bus to almost anywhere you want to go
- 721akmaralm (10/5): We’ll come back again - If I ever come to Abu Dhabi again I will definitely return to this hotel. A wonderful hotel with the best service. Spacious, clean apartments and very friendly staff. Special thanks to Asaad, a professional in his job. I wish the hotel prosperity.
- 485sajidj (2/5): Not a very good hotel - I will never recommend someone to stay in this hotel. Duty manager Hari is totally a disappointing person. Without physical ID he created alot of issues for us. We had our IDs in our mobile phones but he really disrespected us and dis not allow us for check in.
- Sajid (2/5): Terrible experience - This hotel is terrible. Hari disrespected us. They need physical ID such as physical Passport for checkedIN. We showed passport in our Phone but they did not allow me for checkedIN this is ridiculous. I also gave a call to police.
- omaralmahdib (8/5): Very good experience - My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I encountered a welcoming atmosphere. I would like to highlight the work of the reception staff in general and especially Mr. Asaad, who was not only professional but also showed great human warmth. His friendly demeanor, patience, and willingness to address any questions or needs made our stay truly enjoyable.
The rest of the staff also deserves recognition, as everyone was kind and attentive. I highly recommend this accommodation without hesitation. I would also like to thank the entire cleaning team, especially Mr. Sandip, for their excellent work. I will definitely return soon!
- mariodebes (4/5): A poor hotel with a good price - A poor hotel with a good price.
If you are reserving a room with a sofa bed, don't expect to be able to sleep on the Sofa bed as it will give you back pain.
Raised the issue couple of times to the front desk with no action.
Cleanliness is not great as well.
- 637maridelt (8/5): Unforgettable experience - Dear Ms Sheryl
Thank you for your kindness and helping us,very nice and clean room.Hoping to come back again 😊.The view was amazing.Quiet and peaceful ambiance.People are kind and helpful.Nice place to stay with family or friends. Thank you.
- rjha929941 (8/5): Good appartment hotel - Other than parking issues everything was perfectly fine it was neat & clean, room was specious and location was good
- Explore56929632121 (2/5): No comment 🤷♀️ - Been there in November 2023. It was actually a great experience, everything was nice: clean rooms, great stuff. So we booked the same apartments in July for November 2024. A week ago they started cancelling our credit card on Booking.com. But it worked perfectly with other hotels. So we called them, texted them several times. No one answered. A couple of days ago they cancelled our booking completely. Only after that someone managed to gift us a reply, that they “cancel bookings with invalid cards to make sure we’re not robots”. But only after we called them 10 times or more. They didn’t listen to arguments and questions, just kept on repeating the same. The only thing to presume here is that our booking was way too cheap for them to manage. So we had to look for another place to stay in a short time. Horrible experience communicating, resolving problems.
A part of our holiday was ruined, a lot of money spent, had to change our plans. Very disappointed with the attitude
- Citizentfa (2/5): Dirty, unmaintained, disappointing to say the least! - My stay at Uptown Apartment Hotel was unfortunately disappointing, especially considering its 3-star rating. The level of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall service was far below my expectations, particularly when compared to even 1-star motels in Egypt.
Specific Issues:
* Maintenance: Leaky plumbing, broken shower head, and slow internet.
* Noise: Construction noise, elevator noise, lack of sound isolation between rooms, and noise from the street despite being on the 15th floor.
* Cleaning: Discrepancy between advertised daily cleaning and actual twice-per-week service, with indifferent housekeeping staff.
* Room design: Uncomfortable bed design with protruding wood pieces, and limited seating options for watching TV in the smaller room.
* Amenities: Old and broken clothes drying rack, lack of sufficient outlets, and outdated furniture.
* Hygiene: Insects, rotten fruits, smelly and dirty towels and bed linen.
* General upkeep: Old and dirty furniture, and dirty and unmaintained windows.
Additional Notes:
* While the reception and security/bellman staff were helpful and friendly, the overall quality of the hotel's services and facilities fell short of expectations.
I have three more weeks of my reservation. I hope that the hotel will take steps to address these issues and improve the overall guest experience.
- larcv2024 (8/5): Family friendly place to stay: Uptown Hotel Apartments, Hamdan Street - If you're looking for a homey environment during your stay in Abu Dhabi, Uptown Hotel Apartments on Hamdan Street is a great choice. The apartment provides all the basic amenities you'd need, from a washing machine, electric stove, and utensils—everything you would typically find at home. While it may not be as fancy as other posh hotels, it's perfectly suitable for families, offering comfort and convenience.
The customer service is where this place truly shines. During our 4-night stay, we received exceptional service. Special thanks to Misheryl, who took great care of us, Suzette, who kept our room spotless, and Muhammad, who cheerfully assisted us in moving rooms without any hassle.
I highly recommend booking online, as they offer good discounts for early reservations.
Overall Ratings:
Room: 7/10
Customer Service: 9/10
- Abhay55 (8/5): More than expected - I had one night stay in this hotel. I had to travel to Abu Dhabi alongwith my wife for a visa appointment. I wanted to be close to the place of work to avoid any delay in reaching for the appointment. I found this hotel through an online booking site.
I had booked a studio but was pleasantly surprised to get an auto upgrade to 1 BR. The apartment was quite spacious with all facilities.
The front office staff was very friendly and helpful.
He also allowed us a late check out that proved quite helpful due to the delay at the visa appointment centre.
Overall a very satisfying experience and more than what I had expected.
- H9664HMaprila (10/5): Little perfect stay - Staying in hotel for one night , fast check in process reception are very accommodating especially Ms.Misheryl, accessible place walking distance for shipping mall and bus stop .definety will recommend this hotel to our friends and family .
- sa20202010 (6/5): Hotel stay experience - The hotel is excellent but the cleanliness of the beds was not good. The bed covers were not clean and had hair residue.
- Mohammed (2/5): No parking available at hotel - Contrary to advertising, no parking available at hotel. Hotel refused outright to provide, assist or arrange parking in a very busy location with little public parking during day and none at night.
Cannot stay at such a location.
Hotel should be upfront about facilities / amenities available and should never lie on their advertisement to misguide customers. Terrible experience. Did not stay at hotel due to their attitude.
- Yogesh2708 (10/5): Excellent - I like the stay, cleanliness, hospitality, everything is excellent
The Madam at reception is very helping nature.
- oalham584658 (10/5): hotel - perfect hotel for staying very nice stuff and good location.
everything it's perfect and thanks for stuff
- Companion34205691173 (8/5): Hassle free stay Abu Dhabi - Uptown hotel apartments is a good place to stay providing a relaxing family friendly ambience in Abu Dhabi.
- mluktu475421 (6/5): Overall Value for Money - A major hassle is lack of parking facilities . Overall the location is very down town with lot of eateries nearby and within walking distance.
- jwisni590294 (10/5): Nice - Thank you for your interest. I don’t wanna other things to write or rate. Most of all staff is very friendly.
- Rafael (10/5): - All well staff is the best friendly and helpful
- Sardor (10/5): - Administrators were very polite and helped me with any issues
- Kiana (6/5): - The property is old and needs a renovation. The room was not as clean as I expected. Reception was really helpful.
- Alain (4/5): - 1) furniture was worn out and not clean
2) there's no towels or dishwashing liquid or sponge to clean dishes
3) I found small cockroaches in the bathroom
4) Bathtub was not clean
5) Water shattaf was leaking so I had to turn off the water
6) Water heater was off so I had to wait an hour to take a shower
7) Both central AC's were fully on at 20ºC and the apartment was freezing when I checked in
8) There's no parking for the hotel, so i had to roam around and find paid parking on the street away from hotel
- Marie Fatima (6/5): Unimpressed - Cons:
We tried to contact them before checking in, but the phone was ringing but no one was answering. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that their phones in the room were also not working. As there is no way for you to contact front desk, you have to go down and tell them in person, which is quite a hassle. Only two pillows were provided in the room, and the room and refrigerator smelled extremely unpleasant. Additionally, there were cockroaches in the bathroom and in the drawers.
Pros:
It is located near the mall, coffee shops, and other places where you may need to purchase items.
There are taxis available everywhere and getting one is not a problem.
It is easy to communicate with the staff at this hotel.
- Ryan (10/5): - After what I experienced at other hotels and hostels in UAE, I was very happy to have changed some plans to stay here. Upon checking in, I found out Expedia had made a mistake in my booking. This hotel handled everything. They gave me a room and called Expedia themselves to handle it, which I greatly appreciate. I needed that after some other issues that happened during my trip.
Hotel is in a great location and has plenty of parking (albeit they are paid), and places to eat and check out. Uber had great access to it to, and it is a great stepping off point to other areas. Hotel was clean, well air conditioned, and very comfortable as a whole. Would absolutely stay again.
- Waqar (10/5): - Good
- Linda (8/5): - It's was central friendly staff cleaners were very helpful 😀
- Moheb (10/5): good - fast visit
- Verified traveler (8/5): - الاقامة لم تكن سيئة والموقع ممتاز
لكن كان يجب التعامل مع البرد والحشرات
- Ahmad (8/5): - Satisfied...convenient...city center location...highly recommended
- Nabeel (10/5): Great hospitality - Awesome place great customer service very clean hotel + apartment, great stuff except telecommunications issues...! You can’t dial the room telephone outside
- Malik (4/5): Not the best experience - When your entering a hotel after a long flight to meet friends and family, you expect that the hotel or the hotel apartments to be understanding and lenient about the check-in process. I had all my documents with me with me when I checked-in but my friend did not. The hotel staff did not allow visitors to enter my room or guest that will be staying with me with out proper original government issued document. This was a hassle and we had to wait over 3 hours to speak with top management about letting my friend in. Its only after I pointed out that it is not Expedia policy, but the hotel policy that guests are also required to have proper identification and that the hotel is responsible due to their policy which is not stated on Expedia and I would like a refund, that they pulled some strings and let me and friend in. The hotel staff was only following orders but they were not as friendly as they could have been and did not provide us with any other possible solutions other that to ask for refund. I would think that if you are travelling to and have friends in that country, that they would be expected to spend some quality time with you no matter where you are, and the hotel did not provide that for me so I am a little disappointed. However, after we got in everything was good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's ok for the price - It's clean and tidy bit old bathroom, room is large it's ok, pity no parking, you need to parking 15dhs for 24hrs. It's ok for the price since we been there during F1.
- BR (6/5): - Appartement spacieux, amenage simplement. Hotel correct.
- Verified traveler (4/5): I will not advise you to stay there - Was awful. No parking is available. The room looks horrible. couples are NOT allowed!
- Ergu (6/5): Bien placé, mais chambres moyennes - OK, bien placé, mais certains chambres sont mins bien agencées que d'autres.
- Katy (10/5): Lovely Accomodation - Very nice apartment and lovely staff.
- Greig (8/5): Family accommodation - Very helpful staff, clean and quiet rooms, good location in the city. Abu Dhabi seems to be well planned and has some beautiful architecture.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice affordable hotel apartment - In general the hotel is all right, it is not luxurious, but it is fine for a couple of weeks. The rooms are spacious and nice. The only downside is the bathroom that is a little small and could have better finishings.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The sum of 150 Dirhams was charged for Airport drop which I considered was on the high side. Other hotels can offer this service as complimentary
- MNS (10/5): Nice and comfortable hotel - I stayed at the hotel for two days and was a nice experience. Although they state on the website that they will cancel the booking if the person doesn't check-in by midnight, they don't.
Friendly staff providing excellent service (including Free Wi-Fi) ....
All in all, the hotel is worth for the price ...
- Baghavathy (8/5): My experience - Due to some issues I could not check out from the hotel and they have promptly delivered the luggage to the airport. They are very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - it was nice stay and good stuff .
- Alan (10/5): great value hotel - If looking for 5star maybe not for you but looking for excellent value for money accommodation then this is pretty perfect.
No far from beach, kitchen could maybe have been better equipped.
But great having fridge, cooker, washing machine, kettle etc.
Was cleaned every day, really cant complain
Cheers
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I found the hotel very clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a very central and busy part of abu dhabi, having said that the hotel is very quiet and noise from street is non-existent. I travelled with young children and found the hotel very family friendly. I would certainly recommend it to friends and family
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good basic hotel
- SHERIEF (6/5): Not a hotel for leisure. It is as good as to sleep - It is a good value of money hotel for the short passing comers to Abu Dhabi. It is considered a very basic level hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable
- Jay (8/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay
- No coment (2/5): Nothing - When i booked i mentioned 2 person but when my girl came tovisit me then she has to book an additional room, very bad and un acceptable as well very stupid.
Regards.
D Angella
- MASRI (6/5): Royal regency Abu Dhabi - Clean rooms, big enough. Quiet
Breakfast is very modest
NO PARKING!!!, you have to search for your own( paid of course ) they told me: upon availability!!! They should make that clear in their info.
- Kathy (10/5): Royal Regency Hotel Apartments-excellent service! - We stayed at the Royal Regency Apartments for one night during a stop over in Abu Dhabi and booked an apartment room for 4 people. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. We were amazed at the size of the apartment and full kitchen, including a dishwasher. The apartment was very reasonably priced and the staff only too happy to accommodate us with extra towels, roll away bed and extra sheets at no extra cost. As we had to leave early for the airport the porter kindly left to find us a taxi as booking one from the hotel incurs a fee payable to the taxi company. He arrived several minutes later in our taxi, loaded all our luggage and all with a smile! A full breakfast was included in the tariff. I would highly recommend this apartment and will be booking it again if we head to Abu Dhabi in the future.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Visit For Formula 1 race November 2012 - hotel was ok for the price considering it was the weekend of the formula one race. The internet service was horrible. I would use again for the price.
- Michael (8/5): Nice hotel nice people will use it again - Clean room but outdated could do with modernising other that not bad at all
- Peter (8/5): Good for a business trip - Had a problem with my room condition on the first night there. They moved me immediately and the following morning offered an upgrade to a suite for the rest of my 2 week stay. A disappointing start but an excellent recovery!
The hotel is in a great location for business but would be a bit bleak for a holiday. Central to one of the main city streets. It has no bar but is within a couple of minutes walk of other hotels that do have bars
- Kathy (8/5): Simple but comfortable, good value hotel - We were satisfied with our stay and thought the room was a good value compared with the prices we saw at other hotels. The location is convenient and fairly close to the Corniche. Staff was friendly and very helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a request. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It was good to have a refrigerator and hot pot but a microwave would have been a nice feature instead of the stove. Bathroom lighting is not good for applying makeup, and a full length mirror woud have been nice, too. But overall we were satisfied and we would stay at the Royal Regency again.
- Nath & Khalil (6/5): Royal Regency Abu Dhabi - It is not a 5 stars hotel, but it is convenient for someone who would like to be around the center of the city
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great value - Excellent value for money. Centrally located. Friendly staff.
- laurie (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities and service.. I was surprised at how lovely it was. The king size room was inexpensive and it had a kitchenette with a washing machine built in to the kitchen. Restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. The only disadvantage was you could hear the water in the drain to the room above.. apart from that it had been an extremely pleasant stay! Recommended!
- ian (10/5): clean, central and quiet. - for a the price this hotel is central for everything, there is no bar but there is two nearby hotels which do.staff really helpful on anything you questioned and did make the stay so easy.room was huge, clean and the fridge helpful.a/c brill, would use again.had small breakfast /coffee in their cafe on ground floor(outside)to start the day great).
- Verified traveler (4/5): The Royal Regency hotel Abu Dhabi - This Hotel has the potential to be very good, it falls down on very simple and stupid things like the internet access is dreadfull the worst I have ever encountered and when you report the problem nothing is done.
Come on guys people are paying good money to stay with you, make an effort put some nice furniture in your rooms and sort out that internet, you would have a great hotel that could cater for the business traveller.
- mark (8/5): new, clean serviced apartment type hotel - new, clean serviced apartment type hotel, rooms were slightly sparse, i had a 1 bed apartment and there was only TV in the living room, but was clean and compared to many other hotels was good value and centrally located on Hamdan St. i will certainly use it again
- Charlotte (8/5): Royal Regency Hotel Apartments - We were really pleased with the hotel as it was clean and staff were very helpful. The only issue we had was the kitchen facilities were very limited and there wasn't a cooker or enough utensils to really cook yourself a meal. Even so there was a fridge, sink, hob and washing machine - all clean and in good condition. We found the local restaurants were reasonable and plentiful so ate there in stead. The hotel restaurant is not cheap - we paid 60dhms each for scrambled eggs on our first morning, but the local coop has a great bakers for a continental breakfast. One of our main concerns was about being allowed to stay in a double room as we are an unmarried couple, however, the staff didn't even ask if we were married and we needn't have worried about this throughout our entire trip.
The hotel is located centrally a few streets away from the Corniche, and the public beach is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Taxis are plentiful around the hotel, though parking isn't always easy if you plan to hire a car.
We would recommend this hotel if you want something on a small budget and central.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Regency in name only - I chose this hotel for its proximity to my office and for its price. It calls itself an apart hotel but in truth you couldn't prepare a meal as there was only one electric hob working out of four and they provided only one small pot to boil water and one small frying pan. Their was only a kettle and a small refrigerator. The AC had one setting which was freezer mode so I had to turn it off. The water was either boiling hot or tepid - nothing in between. There are better options.
