- Hamid (8/5): Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich top und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten si - Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Die Blaue Moschee ist in ca. 7 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, die Hagia Sophia und der Topkapi Palast in etwa 15 Minuten. Zum Großen Basar und zum Hafen läuft man ungefähr 20 Minuten zu Fuß, und die nächste Bushaltestelle ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Das Personal war ausgezeichnet ,sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir waren mit einem Kind unterwegs, und besonders beim Tragen des Kinderwagens haben sie uns sehr unterstützt, da der Hoteleingang einige Stufen hat. Das Frühstück war gut, könnte aber etwas abwechslungsreicher sein. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden Allerdings gibt es einige Punkte, die verbessert werden sollten: In unserem Zimmer haben wir viele Ameisen auf dem Tisch gesehen. Die Fußleiste an der Wand war beschädigt, der Wasserdruck der Dusche war schwach und der Griff am Toilettenschrank war locker und Steckdosen auch.Außerdem war die Glasplatte auf dem Tisch beschädigt. Solche Dinge könnten mit wenig Aufwand behoben werden, hätten aber einen großen positiven Einfluss auf die Gästezufriedenheit. Das Waschbecken im Bad hätte sauberer sein können. Auch der Zimmerpreis könnte etwas niedriger sein. Der Rooftop Bereich (Bar und Restaurant) war geschlossen. Das ist allerdings verständlich, da das Wetter noch nicht stabil warm war ca. 14–17 Grad. Es wäre außerdem ein großer Pluspunkt, wenn der Eingangsbereich barrierefrei gestaltet wird besonders für Gäste mit Kinderwagen oder Rollstuhl.

- David (6/5): Lovely friendly staff. Amazing fresh gözleme for breakfast! Rooms could be spruced up a bit - Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a normal enough buffet but was lifted enormously by the Turkish lady who made fresh gözlemes to order in the little courtyard - kneading the dough, loading it with fillings and then cooking it fresh on the gas hot-plate stove. This was a delicious highlight to start the day! The location was convenient for walking to the main sights in Sultanahmet/Eminönü (e.g. Hagia Sophia, blue mosque and the grand bazaar) and the Sultanahmet tram stop is an easy walk from the hotel for getting across to the Beyoğlu side of town. The bedrooms felt a little bit grubby and could do with a deeper cleaning. For example lint/dust balls in corners and the walls had lots of marks on them. The rooms weren't dirty, but they didn't feel fully fresh and cleaned. The rooftop bar was closed and doesn't open until end of April, which was a bit disappointing as that was one of the attractions of this hotel when I booked it, but maybe I missed the small print. Also understandable as Istanbul can be chilly when we visited (early April). Sultanahmet itself is a bit too touristy - fine for a first short visit to Istanbul, but I'd be more inclined to stay on the Beyoğlu side the next time.

Extremely friendly personal, that is ready to make everything that your stay would be enjoying. We had an issue in our room - some tiny sound every 10 seconds, however it was not possible to sleep at all, because of that we have got a room upgrade. Because of the rain and bad weather could not have breakfast on the rooftop. But it is not hotel's mistake. The hotel is marvelous with nothing negative at all.

- IGolfer2 (8/5): Great Place to stay in Istanbul - The Hotel Amira is well located in the old district. walking distance to all the sites, like the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Haghia Sophia, Arasta Bazaar, etc. The staff is fabulous and so helpful whenever I needed directions or had questions. They are always eager to help. The breakfast is fabulous and very interesting to watch, with an experienced Turkish mom who knows how to make their traditional Gozleme. The rooms are very clean. The only reason I gave them a 4 is that we had a very uncomfortable, hard, and lumpy bed; fortunately, we were able to change rooms, which made our sleeping experience better.

Small but workable fitness room, spotlessly clean everywhere and a fantastic included breakfast. Close enough to all the sites (even though Istanbul is huge). The manager Voltan was helpful with everything and the rest of the staff was so kind. We’ll be staying here when we come back!

We were there with a 1-year old and had the best experience we could have. The staff was so helpful, always cheerful, supporting and friendly. Our little boy loved it. He loved seeing all of the guys there every time we were to go out or come back. His smile when he sees them and their interaction is the best review you can get. Varied, tasty breakfast served in downstairs lounge was great way to start an active day. Also played rummikub here at night. All-male staff was respectful, friendly, helpful and conversational when we reached out. Took terrific care of us. Quickly texted when we departed and I left passport in safe (do we all do that once?). Reasonable walk to many landmarks (Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque), bus service and shopping. We would absolutely stay at Amira again. Thank you, gentlemen!

The gentlemen at the front desk were extremely knowledgeable and friendly helping to arrange taxis and providing tips for taking the tram. They provided extra insight into the Turkish culture and answered my numerous questions without hesitation. We had a room with two queen beds that was extremely spacious and clean. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was delicious with a combination of Turkish and standard choices. I especially enjoyed the honeycomb and the Turkish options. And breakfast was not complete without a tea and Turkish coffee. Be sure to go into the other room for a made to order Gözleme. The location is also ideal and 5-10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Basilica Cistern. The square offers plenty of shopping and restaurant options. When I return I plan to stay here again.

Although it wasn't open when we were there, a roof-top bar and restaurant with amazing views completed this excellently located hotel. (It is located within a 5 minute walk of the Blue Mosque) The breakfast was also very good with a range of hot and cold options. However, what put this hotel head and shoulders above others was the staff. To a person they were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to help with even the most basic questions.

La ubicacion es muy buena, a menos de 10 mins andando de la mezquita azul y Santa Sofía. Las habitaciones limpias, con servicio de habitaciones diario, los baños nuevos con ducha buena, hay nevera con agua y te (con hervidor de agua) gratis. Nosotros reservamos una habitación para 3 y la única pega que podríamos tener es que la cama supletoria es más bien un sofá y es pequeña (pero yo dormí muy bien y no tuve problema). La habitación daba a la calle y tenía doble ventana por lo que no se escuchaba nada desde fuera. Bufet libre en el desayuno con mucha variedad (fruta, tortitas, bollería, huevos, embutido…), hay pan sin gluten. Además en la habitación contigua hacen un plato típico de allí muy rico. El personal fue amable y atento, y puedes contactar fácilmente con ellos por booking. Si no pagas el suplemento para tener habitación con vistas probablemente vayas a una habitación del “sótano”, que tiene ventanas pero estás pegada a la calle., aunque no se escucha nada. En invierno la cafetería de la terraza está cerrada, pero igualmente puedes subir y tiene unas vistas preciosas.

Завтраки хорошие, но немного однообразны и совсем не было зелени. Женщина которая печет лепёшки очень приятная. Парень, который помогал отнести сумки, отзывчив и приходит на помощь, молодец! Серьёзных замечаний нет, только ванная под уставшая. И персонал кухни не очень приветлив, не всегда здороваются. Также на ресепшен, когда мы узнавали о возможности продлить пребывание, у них не было единого решения. Один сотрудник сказал, что возможно за ту же плату, но с заменой комнаты. Второй сказал что можем остаться в той же комнате , но уже немного дороже.

- TheSavageExplorer (10/5): Wonderful Hotel in Quiet Location - My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Amira! The staff was polite and very attentive to our needs. A wide variety of quality food choices were available for breakfast and we highly recommend the gozleme flatbread that a woman baked fresh for us each morning. We chose this hotel in part because its location is relatively quiet in an otherwise busy tourist section of Istanbul. In 5 minutes, you can walk down to the waterfront and catch the sunset. You are only about a 10 minute walk from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and countless stores and restaurants. There is an awesome rooftop restaurant that's worth checking out just steps down the street. The rooms were reasonably sized by European standards. When we needed room to just hang out, the staff allowed us to use the breakfast area. We also used the hotel to arrange airport transport which helped simplify our journey, especially as we arrived at IST well after midnight. I would highly recommend Hotel Amira when visiting this part of Istanbul.
- agentbooguette (10/5): perfect for a short stay - I was on my way to Ankara for a conference and decided to spend two nights in Istanbul for a quick tour. My flight got in very early, and the gentleman at the reception offered me breakfast. It was a very nice gesture even though I just got fed on the plane. I was happy to have a place to sit down for coffee before places open. And I received a text on whatsapp before 1am that my room was ready while I was out touring. The hotel staff spoke perfect English and was helpful in every way. I enjoy the breakfast very much as well - turned our to be better than a much ‘fancier’ hotel i stayed in later on the trip in Ankara; where very few people spoke any English. The room was a bit on the ‘old and rundown’ side but perfectly clean and sufficient and comfortable. It was a perfect stay all in all. Most of the major sights were within walking distance, Uber worked just fine when I ventured beyond the ‘neighborhood’ or decided that I needed a break from walking.

The Hotel Amira staff was warm and genuinely friendly from beginning to end, and at any time of day or night (my airport transfer was at 1am). They took time to answer every question fully and even add their own personal advice. I felt like a welcome guest. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, very close walking distance to important sights. Both taxis and public transportation are immediately available. Tucked into a quiet corner, the building is cozy, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast (included with my room) was the best I’ve seen. Hot and cold options, lovely cheeses and sliced meats, eggs in a variety of presentations, fresh fruits and vegetables. Flatbread made to order was the icing on the cake. My room (standard) was on the smaller side, but well equipped and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the bath. My friends were traveling with children, and their triple rooms were much more spacious — both families said they were very comfortable. The red velvet curtains you see in the photos are effective blackout curtains… a welcome perk when fighting jetlag! In short, this is a great choice at a good price.
