The included breakfast had a wonderful assortment of delicious food on buffet and the Italian coffee was truly superb! I also loved that they had a harpist performing in the dining area. It made the experience next level. I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely return.

Susan (9/5): Super hotel in a super location - The location of this hotel is perfect. The the main sights of Milan can be reached on foot. The staff are helpful and polite and the breakfast has a good variety and is generous. The Roof Top bar is delightful and a great place for a lunch or evening drink. The Roof Top bar is excellent for both food, drink and atmosphere however it does not match the photos online. Perhaps these should be updated

Nicole (10/5): Great location to explore Milan with a rooftop bar - Great location, a short walk to the Duomo, Galleria, La Scala and the pedestrian zones around La Brera quartiere with all the trattorias and fabulous Pinoteca art museum. Hotel has a really nice rooftop bar/lounge. Room wasn't too large but ok, windows shut out street noise. Really good breakfast spread and helpful staff. Would stay here again. Minor thing - The shower/tub floor is higher than the floor of the bathroom so stepping in or out you need to be careful.
Lynn (6/5): The location was very good, nice roof top bar, and great breakfast. - The breakfast and staff there was very good. The "Jr suite" was just a little larger than a regular room. A small couch without room for a coffee table. The carpet was old and didn't seem very clean. The shower would not drain leaving the bathroom floor with a puddle everyday. The A/C didn't work when we got there, thankfully they for it fixed because I was told there would not be another room to move to.

The roof is beautiful but only open in the evenings, would have been good to have breakfast/coffee up there during the day.

Alejandro (8/5): Nice and well located hotel; would be back - This hotel is well located and good appointed. Rooms smallish but great bathrooms. Quiet neighborhood. A couple of excelent restaurants you can walk to, about 200 ft away. Nice breakfast. But the most important: kind, nice employees with good attitude and ready to help you. You can easily walk to Monteleone strada with plenty of high end boutiques and to the Duomo, which of course, you must visit.

Would stay again - Perfect location for La Scala, shopping and the Brera No bar facility in hotel in evening other than the rooftop bar which was virtually unusable in the rain. Room was rather stark - one small print in corner of room, mostly blank walls, ridiculously high water pressure leading to constant floods in bathroom. Our travelling companions had to move rooms because of noise from lifts.
John (8/5): A very pleasant hotel to rest your travelling bones. - Have stayed at lot of hotels and a good breakfast is important if have busy touring itinerary, the spread at Milana Scala was one of the best and topped with excellent service. No negatives here.

LibragirlPlantCityFL (2/5): Disappointing. Not worth the money. - Very disappointed. We booked a two level expensive suite which looked beautiful but was actually cramped and uncomfortable. There were 14 steps from one level to the next which were difficult and exhausting to navigate. The upstairs bedroom area was so cramped that after I opened my suitcase that left no room on the landing and I worried I might fall down the stairs. Hotel staff were worse than useless telling us to walk in the opposite direction of the Duomo, the major Milan attraction, causing us to get hopelessly lost on our first day. The hotel staff actually told us there were no available tours to the Duomo or Lake Como during our 7 night stay but I quickly found on my own lots of great tours to these sights during our stay. There was no place in the hotel to just relax and get out of the cramped room as their front lobby area was narrow and unfriendly.

antonellacP1723MQ (2/5): Terrible - Extremely dirty and smelly. I asked to be shown other rooms and unfortunately same poor conditions. Unfriendly staff. I left after 30 minutes and they are now refusing to refund. When I left they didn't even offer a solution or tried to amend. This is how an hotel should never be.
Carol (2/5): Disappointing. Definitely not worth the money. - Breakfast had lots of healthy options and as an added bonus a harp was played. Hotel staff were worse than useless. They actually told us to walk in the opposite direction of the Duomo, Milan's major tourist attraction, causing us to spend our first day lost, walking in circles. Then, hotel staff told us there were no available tours to the Duomo or Lake Como for the entire week of our stay when I was able to quickly find and book those tours on my own. The room was so cramped. And there was no comfortable place to relax downstairs with only a narrow cheap vinyl pull out sofa and two hard backed vinyl chairs, more appropriate for elementary school students. Upstairs was so small that when I opened my suitcase there was barely enough room on the landing not to tumble down the 14 twisting stairs. If this room is really the advertised 500 feet I would be amazed as it felt as cramped as a 300 square foot economy cruise cabin. Also, there was no place to just relax in the hotel as the lobby was narrow without comfortable seating and the staff unfriendly. The much advertised 7th floor terrace was always closed. Towels were thin and cheap and the carpet stained. The hotel photos were misleading and lead me to expect a much more upscale experience as I would never have paid such an exorbitant price had I known how the room really looked.

Dot (8/5): - It was very good to stay at a Green hotel. It was quiet and the staff worked hard to make our stay good. Unfortunately the food at the hotel let it down. Breakfast had a good range and I was delighted to find gluten free bread routinely available. The upstairs bar was a delightful place to be but I am afraid the food was sometimes dreadful. I sent back the risotto for instance. Service up there was a bit chaotic at times.
Quiambao (8/5): Lovely stay. - Staff were very nice, especially the breakfast and lunch crew lead by Violetta. The food was amazing too. Wish the rooms are bigger.

Nao (8/5): - We had a decent stay at Milano Scala. We booked two rooms, one for $440 and one for $456. The positives: the staff were polite and professional. They always tried to help with our stroller when we had to go down the three steps to get from the entrance to the hotel lobby. The breakfast buffet was in a nice and airy room with the harpist. The critical feedback: one of the rooms (309) smelled bad. It wasn’t enough to complain about but it was as though something rancid was being covered up by very heavily perfumed cleaning products. I don’t usually mind when hotels have a signature scent. And I’m realistic that a lot of unfortunate things happen in these rooms unbeknownst to us guests. I would just suggest a deep clean. I believe it was either coming from the couch, bed or small bedside carpet by the bed. Otherwise, I thought that the large jacuzzi tubs could be attractive to some guests. Because it was quite elevated my 80-year-old mother found it difficult to get in and out. I imagine it can be a bit dangerous for older guests, although it does look attractive. The pillows were very flat and hard. I usually am not very discriminating when it comes to the bedding. I find most hotel beds to be comfortable. Both me and my partner, also pretty low maintenance, found these pillows to be very uncomfortable. It would be nice if there were a few different pillows in the closet if guests found this to be uncomfortable so they wouldn’t have to request for new ones to be sent up.

Linda (8/5): - How lovely to have a quiet nights sleep in the centre of a busy city and only a short walk away to the major attractions of Milan. The reception staff at this hotel were exceptional. Friendly and very helpful. I had a classic double room on the 2nd floor. I found it very dark — had to have lights on all the time! The weather probably didn’t help, it was overcast and rainy. Not the hotels fault! Nice to have breakfast included in the price but will not recommend the hot option, it was cold and didn’t look appetising. All in all though as a single and well travelled lady i would recommend this hotel.

Aslı (9/5): Good location nice hotel - ask for a room with inner garden view - Location is great. Staff is friendly. We had to reduce our stay for a day. Hotel kindly accepted to do it without penalty. Appreciate that. Bathroom door was a sliding door that didn’t properly close. The person in the room could hear all the biological activity in the bathroom/toilet.
Gary (9/5): Superb - Location is excellent - in the heart of Milan. A great place to stay if you are going to a show at la Scala theater and very close to the Duomo. Plenty of good food choices within walking distance. We spent 4 nights and did not need a car once.- Friendly accommodating staff. The room was appointed. The only issue was that the spa bath was not working - not a major issue

651ellieb (8/5): Decent hotel in great location - Nice clean hotel excellent location close to everything. Enjoyed fresh food at breakfast and the lovely harpist in the background. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was fine, bed was comfy. Only downside it was a little noisy, could constantly hear water running but we might have just been unlucky with being directly under water pipe, not sure. Cute little balcony with foliage outside. Loved the rooftop bar, very pricey but all rooftop bars are. We paid £550 for 2 nights which I felt was expensive Overall really enjoyed it.

whisper-cat1 (2/5): Terrible room and experience - Booked and paid ahead of time $1,452 for 4 nights in a supposedly Superior Double Room in a 4 star hotel....$363/per night (not including the 56 Euros city taxes at checkout). In photos, the room #509 we were put in for our two first nights. The unprofessional and arrogant front desk clerk first explained that it was "because I wanted a walk-in shower instead of a tub," this room that he described as - Superior of 28m2 (300 sq ft) - was the only one available for the weekend of our arrival even though we had pre-booked in advance. I was firm and answered that there was no way for that room to be that size (I am used to the sq meters!), this room was no larger than 20 m2 with bathroom (215 sq ft) ... and I wanted the Superior room I paid for, not the tiny shoe box he gave us ... I insisted he was not being truthful with me and I did not accept to pay $363 for that Standard small room. I showed him the hotel website gallery of pics and the "Superior room" I paid for: large room with two windows, larger bathroom with two sinks, larger TV screen, etc. I told him he was certainly mistaken about the size of the room, adding the terrace shared with the next door room patron....(terrace facing a wall & window of the next door room). Full hotel, no more room available was his finale answer. On Sunday morning, I asked again to the young blonde woman at the front desk for a change of room ... she also lied about the room size 28 m2 and again repeating our request regarding a walk-in shower ... that this was why her colleague picked this "Superior" room for us .... however, she was unable to find an answer when confronted about the shared terrace being included in the size of the room: She did not know!!! ..... a terrace that nobody could use during a winter day with rain each day. I choose this hotel because of its location near the Duomo and the positive reviews. It was interesting to see this business pretending to be "green" that provide: - made in China cheap paper sleepers that are so static that we lose them while using on the very used grey rug around the bed. - dispensers of shampoo/shower gel and hand soap products are dermatology tested according the tags!!! that means tested on animals....this hotel is "worried about the planet" but not much about cruelty on animals! Have to add that the only sink in our room was not draining: have to brush our teeth in a full bowl of used water. Breakfast was average with the "hot food" nearly cold or cold ... scrambled eggs were always cool....industrial products, no fresh orange or grapefruit juices available. On Monday morning, I met another front desk woman - professional - who immediately moved us to a Superior room that we could choose . It was very different: larger room, two sinks in a bigger bathroom, two windows with view on the street, better and higher quality mattress, larger TV screen! Proof this place cheated us for two nights .... they never apologized for their attitude and did not credit the difference on our bill for the two first nights spent in a very low standard room at the high price of a Superior. From all our trips in Italy in 4 and 5 stars hotels. This one was a terrible choice and I can't believe how the front desk employees were so arrogant and seemingly not at all interested by doing their job correctly and making customers - who paid high price - satisfied.

Julie (8/5): Outstanding service; the room left a little to ber - The service and cleanliness was excellent. The layout of the room was confusing and a bit inconvenient. The light switch layout takes a couple of days to figure out – – there are no labels as to which lights are being controlled. In addition, I found the lighting to be substandard, especially for a room with stairs. The shower is typical for European showers, but does not have any safety features like grab bars for older adults. Otherwise, I found it to be a lovely hotel.

Jane (9/5): Great hotel in a great location - The hotel is in a great location. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony area. The bathroom was large and really nicely done out. The bed was super comfortable. And the breakfasts were fantastic, made even better by having a harpist playing for us during our meal. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Nothing!
Michaela (6/5): Nice but noisy - Location was great, central, close to Brera. We heard a compressor or similar through the wall, every 10-15 min it went on, sounded in different speeds and switched off. Day and night. We were at the end of one of the corridors. Sleep was only possible with ear plugs and white noise. The AC was gurgling but still better than the compressor. We told reception and they said they would look into it. Nothing happened.

Jiří (10/5): Beautiful hotel near the very centre of Milan. - Everything was as good as possible. The hotel is close to everything; Milan Dome is a 7-minute walk. The hotel service is awesome. We loved the breakfast; they also have gluten-free options. We booked the hotel because of its proximity to Teatro a la Scala, where we visited the opera. We couldn´t do better!

drax (8/5): Perfectly located, but needs updating. - Overall it was ok, but room was very dated and overpriced.,bathroom needed a refit. Can't fault the service, it was very good, all the staff were helpful and welcoming. Hotel itself was ideally situated, only 5 to 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Breakfast was fairly average, plenty of choice but lacking in quality. The live harp player each morning was a nice touch. Would stay again after some modernization.

The bathing area has glass screens, which might be good for the able-bodied. But a cotton screen would be better for wheelchair users like me.

Hope the hotel can import the room’s condition - bath tube has no staircase and it’s too high which you need to climb in and out, after shower it’s too slippery, when I wanted to climb out from the bath tube after shower I almost fall down

drogren (10/5): A lovely spot in Milan - What a lovely find in this part of the city. A very chic boutique hotel we had breakfast included and it was lovely with a live harp player each morning. So civilized in today's hectic world. We would definately stay here again as it is convenient to much of the city the Duomo, LaScalla (obviously) and wonderful resturants and shopping. Staff is top of their game.
