- Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend trip - Did not stay long to enjoy all the amenities, but I think it was a good value for the price. Though I would not qualify this hotel as 5 stars as it lacks certain details to attentions of 5 star hotels.
- C6774KRleew (8/5): Great location, good food, good extras - Rooms fine, large foyer with bar with a lovely attendant who happily dispenses snacks, coffee, tea and alcohol. Dining room crowded and completely inadequate for the number of guests at breakfast. The dining and seating areas have large couches, benches, chairs and tables BUT they are too low and incredibly uncomfortable. What we would call 10 minute chairs. But the breakfast itself is lovely. Went into the dining room for lunch where I has an amazing salmon and avocado salad with the room almost to myself. Fine damask table cloths with gleaming silver and flatware. Back to the dining room for dinner where I had a lovely stroganoff, Rob roast duck leg with vegetables and Geraldine grilled chops. When they turned up they looked brilliant there were 6 chops on a platter with roast vegetables. The chops looked really nice and she said they tasted great. We had a glass of wine each while Geraldine had water. We finished with ice cream. Fabulous meal also in a semi deserted dining room so it is only breakfast that the room is inadequate for. They have luggage storage and plenty of comfortable seating in the foyer for waiting.

- 991vladimirr (10/5): Everything is perfect - The hotel is well located, between two metro stations (5-10 minutes walk), while in front of the hotel there is a bus stop. A five-minute walk is the square with a mall, fast food restaurants and a 24/7 market. Very nicely designed interior that gives a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff fit into such an atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable and big (wife, 9 year old daughter and I slept comfortably on one double bed). Choice of tv channels solid (mostly russian), wifi excellent, heating more than enough. The spa is the most beautiful gem of this great hotel. The pool is large enough and the herbal sauna is our favorite. Breakfast is a great, wide selection of delicious food. The only complaint is the small number of places in the restaurant which creates occasional crowds and little waiting time. A wonderful experience, we can't wait for next November.

- Candjo9173 (8/5): Good location - Our travel company had booked this hotel for us as part of our package. Our taxi driver struggled to find it as it is nicely tucked away down a side street. The foyer is very traditional - check-in staff were friendly. Rooms are a nice size and were comfortable. It was my birthday while I was there and staff kindly left us a platter of cakes. My only complaint would be the breakfast. Very poor choice of food. Also, because it is served in the small hotel restaurant there isn't much room, even if you shared with strangers. Some people were taking their food out to the foyer area to eat which didn't look good for new customers coming in the hotel.

The SPA was amazing. A big plus. Breakfast was ok with not much change after several days. In our special case it was not bad included (Expedia reservation) which was not common as almost all other guests had it.

- Navigate44195 (10/5): Great Hotel - What a great place to stay in Moscow. Very friendly staff, heated swimming pool and spa area in the basement. Very clean and comfortable. Good water pressure and bathroom. Beautifully decorated dining room. Very regal setting. The breakfast was so divine that you wanted to stay all morning, great variety of foods. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Subway a very short walk, easy access. Nice local bars and restaurants close by. Laundry was expensive but done really well, clothes were clean and without wrinkles. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The bathroom was a good size too, with a shower only. In room safe. The cooling and heating was good and quiet, (we had a change in the weather from very warm to quite cool). Staff were friendly and helpful, two metro stations were in easy walking distance as were a few good places to eat. Breakfast was included, not a great deal of choice but adequate. Would stay again.
- rpu87 (10/5): Great place for your stay in Moscow - We stayed in this hotel in March 2017 and July/August 2018 for each time around one week and can highly recommend it! The double rooms were very clean, the staff at the reception, restaurant, bar and of the house keeping is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is really comprehensive, everyone should find something he or she likes. The rooms where the breakfast is served are very noble, you feel like a Tsar ;-) During our stay in 2018 we also used the Spa zone (small pool, various saunas). It might be small, but for us it was sufficient and we liked it there. From the hotel you can easily reach two metro stations and some small supermarkets are also nearby, if you want to buy some refreshments for you day trip through Moscow. This hotel became for us some kind of standard we compare other hotels in terms of the room and the breakfast buffet against. Therefore, we fully recommend it!

Well equiped and cosy room where I slept well my night. Breakfast in Russia is not my favorite. I prefer light breakfast with lot of fruits and wide selection of breads. Anyway great hotel.
- HJrick (10/5): great hotel to stay at - This is a wonderful, small, stylish hotel. Its has an optimal location, just 5 minutes from a metro station. Staff is kind and attentive and speak very good English. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and beautiful. Breakfast are nice. The spa and the pool are certainly a plus during a rainy day in Moscow. We stayed 6 nights and we would definitely return if we are back in Moscow.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel, accessible by bus and/or metro - Good location. It was very close to metro station, the bus stop literally just in front of the hotel. We stayed in 3rd floor which was perfect. The 6th floor was for party and sometimes was very noisy. The breakfast was good, even though we did not eat any cold meat. There were no enough sitting places on the breakfast time (no matter what breakfast time you attended) due to the occupancy of the big types of furniture (renaissance round table that occupied 4 people). The room was spotless clean including the bathroom. Overall, we will come back again to Moscow and order the same hotel room from Garden Ring hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good and welcoming - Breakfast is very very good but the service on one of the days of our stay was poor ( only one person on shift a lot of food types re louded as people came in and there was also a lack of comfortable sitting seats because originally they don’t have enough comfortable seating anyway .
- notthedish (6/5): Visit to Moscow - Beware of taxi costs!!! - This hotel is set off the main road. It is clean and quiet and quite adequate for staying a couple of days if the purpose of staying is sightseeing/museums - but only if you are a walker as it is approximately half an hour plus walk to Red Square. Wifi is free but not available in the foyer - from your room only. One cannot book tours from the reception desk - they will give you a map (not in English and not very informative) so I advise you book a guided tour etc before leaving country of origin. Breakfasts are catered for most tastes. Coffee - my opinion not good but there are other cafes etc. Beware of taxi drivers sitting in the airport arrival terminal with lots of official badges - as we paid the equivalent of US$200 instead of approximately US$20 - go to outside of terminal to taxi queue and enquire cost. Also be aware that a lot of shops etc will only accept cash not 'cards'. Moscow has a very good police presence and one feels safe in public areas.
- Prado4WD (10/5): Great location, value and service - My wife and I stayed at the Garden Ring Hotel for 5 nights. The booking was through Flight Centre as this was out first stop in Russia and we needed the usual Letter of Introduction to Russia as part of our visa requirements. The cost per night worked out at $165 (Australian) which was good value as we had asked for something reasonably central in Moscow (i.e. in walking distance to major attractions) and in the 3 - 3.5 star range. Staff were very helpful and the concierge (Jan) was extremely helpful. Our room was also very good and we had no complaints. A buffet breakfast was also included and the range and quality of food on offer was excellent. Its an easy 30 minute walk from this hotel to the Kremlin and there's lots to see along the way. The Metro stations are also close by which is good. Recommended.

- Willy (10/5): - Place was over the top great. Staff was fantastic and the hotel was beautiful. The pics of breakfast looked great but I chose to eat out every morning so I can’t comment on that. The same goes for the spa. As far the room goes it was great too. Only downside to the room was that the toilet paper could be used as sandpaper too. Nothing I hate more than cheap bad toilet paper at a super nice hotel.

They speak excellent English and can serve people from many countries. Friendliness from reception staff, bartenders, drivers, dining room staff, laundry and cleaning staff. Special thanks to reception staffer Kirill Solovyev. Since by law, you need an invitation from the hotel for your visa application, the Garden Ring hotel acted quickly on my request for the invitation.

Drawbacks - rooms very very hot and unable to alter room temperature and advised not to leave window open , apparent inability to get drinks (except vodka) cold . Advise you to source your own taxi as any journey within Moscow was 1000 rubs with the hotel taxi whereas returns to the hotel with ordinary taxi from the same place averaged 300 rubs. Also told 3500 for airport taxi arranged by hotel but driver then asked for a further 400 for parking ?? All in all a good place to be just a few pointers to consider

- Vusala (8/5): Ok place for business trips. - Generally it is a nice place to stay, especially for short business trips. Staff is supportive and helpful, rooms are comfortable. I would not recommend to eat in bar. I ordered chicken nuggets and I just could not eat them.

- Dmitry (8/5): Nice hotel at Golden ring, great location - Stayed for 7 nights. Good free breakfast, nice clean rooms, great shower. Sauna and swimming pool are great as well. Public wifi quality was not great (I worked a lot using VPN and remote desktop), I asked for dedicated wifi router installed in my room - the private wifi was OK. Unirtunately, they have very limited routers fir private wifi.

Our stay was an amazing experience at The Garden Ring Hotel - 5 stars across the board; from front desk arrival all through out our stay. Staff takes their business very seriously and make people's stay as pleasant as possible. Very clean, delicious breakfast and exelent room service as well as food quality at 1:00am at night. My husband had a birthday during our stay and he was so surprised when hotel Administration send him beautiful congratulations letter and full plate of desserts (he didn't expected it at all). Since I am a travel agent as well as a Concierge Manager for a largest concierge company in USA I tend to look into little things when I travel my self and this time it was one of our best stays at Garden Ring Hotel. Hotel and their staff should get A+++++ on their scale. My recommendations will be posted through out different sites and definitely will be recommended to our clients as well. - John (10/5): Moscow's Hidden Gem! - Garden ring is amazing. Heated bathroom floors, great pool and spa. Staff was great. Good breakfast, strong wifi, perfectly located Away from busy traffic but within walking distance to most things. The bed was super comfortable and they provide free bottled water everyday. I will def stay here again next time I'm in Moscow. It's a hidden gem, really, and for the price the value is amazing.

- Shamim (8/5): Not in the centre of i - The Garden ring hotel is situated about 40 minutes walk from what I would consider to be the centre of town. The staff are professional and helpful although the overall ambience of the hotel is a little dated. The lobby is a little too dark for my liking and seemed lifeless. The room was to a good standard and clean & so was the attached bathroom m. I would say this hotel is good but not plush. The breakfast was not what we expected and was rather limited in choice. The breakfast room itself was quite retro with their wallpapers and sofas dominating rather than chairs and tables. Although that created a different Ambiance it was not that practical. The choice of the breakfast items can definitely be improved. Overall I would say nice hotel but don't know whether it deserves top rating but it is certainly a nice place from which you can explore Moscow.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location is between 2 metro stations - One metro station is about 6 minutes and the other (which is the direct station for the airport train) is about 8 to 10 minutes with the luggage. My standared room was spacious but at second floor just on top of a building, there was drainage beside the bed from no water came through. The breakfast selection is quite good but be prepared that it will be the same everyday. Can order cooked eggs from the kitchen. Bottled water can be obtained from the breakfast too. Sauna and the pool is free for one and half hour they say, pleasant to use if you have time.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient and clean hotel - I've stayed here quite a few times and doubtless will do again as it's a nice warm hotel that has a bit of Russian feel about it and it's very clean. There are a number of decent restaurants nearby. However the breakfast could really do with some attention. I love pancakes and they always have them but all the hot food is basically cold unless you get it when they just bring it out. They are using old burners under the trays and they are simply not adequate. Hotel has a spa but I haven't used it so can't comment on it.

- Traveller (8/5): Getting more expensive - I've given this hotel better writes up previously but this time felt things had slipped a little which is a shame. On each occasion I've stayed the allocated room has got smaller and the price has gone up and that isn't just to do with currency fluctuations. The room I had was fine and clean etc but I've cancelled a trip here in October as the Holiday Inn (which admittedly is a little further out) are doing much better rates. I would still stay here again but not while prices are so high (weekend rates are better value)

- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable beds - good value hotel - My standard double room was large and very comfortable. Good sized bathroom with nice toiletries. There is a swimming pool and spa which I didn't get to use but looked good. Breakfast the usual spread of cold meats and cereals/fruit with hot choices also available. Wifi worked well everywhere. Staff pleasant and spoke English. Hotel is about a 35 minute brisk but pretty direct walk down to Red Square for those not wishing to go on the underground. It's 5 minutes walk to the Botanical Gardens and that's worth a look. There are a couple of restaurant/cafes just outside the Gardens which are nice. Also close to Katie O'Shea's pub if you want a solid plate full of something and some beer!

It is about a 35 minute walk from red square but taxis outside all the time if you prefer to ride. The rooms were big comfortable and very clean. Breakfast included everything you could want.

- Pairoj (8/5): Urban nice hotel, good for business and tourists - Recommended. When booking we had no idea of hotel class and thought it was a typical tourist hotel. But it is actually 4 stars hotel which is good for business travelers as well as tourists. Everything was as expected : clean bathroom with full amenities, clean room with full minibar services, fridge, TV, etc. There was indoor swimming pool and spa services too! Very unfortunately that we didn't have enough time to enjoy them. Breakfast was very good with food varieties. There was no tourist group (at the time we stayed) so it was quiet and nice during breakfast time. Hotel is about 200 meters from Sukharevskaya station. It was convenient to take metro from this station to tourist attractions. Unfortunately, there was nothing along the way, all were business premises such as banks and offices. Anyway, there were 2 small supermarket which we could buy everything. There were also local fast food restaurant at the corner in front of metro entrance, not bad taste but no one understood English. There was local bar/cafe but we had no time to try. Walking to opposite direction, we could take metro at Prospekt Mira station but much longer distance. About 300 meters from hotel, there was a hidden garden. We almost walked pass it as we couldn't read Russian. Entrance fee was small and we could get free cake from the ticket! Beautiful garden with large trees and various plants. Very good restaurant and cafe in front of the garden.

- Tan (10/5): A great hotel to enjoy the Spa, sauna and massage. - I was attending a conference at the Moscow State University but booked Garden Ring Hotel. The travel to get to the university was not a problem at all each day. I enjoyed my stay at Garden Ring. My friend and I would like to thank Peter who found my friend's passport at the lobby and returned it to her. Peter thank you. We would like to thank Maria and Irina at the reception counter. We had an early check in. The spa, sauna and all kinds of water splashes were great and relaxing.

This is particularly to appraise Petr. He is so helpful and considerate to tired clients who walked into Garden Ring. Irena and Maria are also wonderful.

Breakfast is OK considering the price of the hotel but not many tables so can be difficult to get a table. Chairs in the room are well worn and could do with being replaced. Bed comfortable.

- Catherine (10/5): Nice, comfy hotel! - We really enjoyed staying here. It was a short walk to the metro. There was a little shop very close that sold basic provisions, beer and wine. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and tried to answer any questions that we had, The room was comfortable and there was bottled water each day in the room. The breakfast was more than adequate. I ate in on the first evening - my Caesar salad was fine and reasonably priced. The swimming pool, although a little cool in temperature, was an all singing, all dancing spa with thermal showers along side - great fun! All in all, a great place to stay for the money!
