I ripped a huge hole in my pants and Kiu fixed them for me free of charge! So nice of them!!!Thanks to the whole team in guest services too Joe, Roman Johnny, and Kelvin. Room was lovely and breakfast nice too.
• J.M. (9/5): Fantastisch qua comfort en personeel! - Schone ruime kamers, met elke dag schone handdoeken en een opgemaakt bed. Ook gebruikte koffie, thee en badkamerspullen worden aangevuld. In de badkamer rook het iets minder fris, maar dat werd direct opgepakt en was daarna verdwenen. De koffer lag aan het voeteneind van het bed en zelfs dan kon je er makkelijk nog langs lopen. Er is ook een kofferplaats onder een kapstok. Er staat een tafeltje met stoel, wat ook de grootte van de kamer goed aangeeft. Het brede tweepersoonsbed heeft een stevig matras en slaapt verrassend goed. Wij hadden een kamer ver van de lift gevraagd en gekregen, omdat die vaak rustig zijn. Die had een invalidebadkamer, maar dat was vooraf aangegeven en overlegd. Wat beter zou kunnen is een douchehoek in plaats van een bad waar je niet stabiel in staat en als invalide in moet stappen. De douche in een andere kamer was beter en die badkamer was ook gerenoveerd en mooi en praktisch. Drinkwater kun je in glazen flessen tappen op de gang met keuze uit koud en heet. Dat is een goed alternatief voor flessenwater. Klein nadeel is dat onze kamer daar vlakbij was en dit apparaat af en toe bromt. Ook was er 's morgens wat brommen geluid van buiten dat minder hoorbaar is in kamers halverwege de gang. Voor rust adviseer ik kamernummers 3,4,5 halverwege de gang. Die zijn het rustigst. Wij hadden verdieping 3 (ligt op de 8e erage) en bovenin het hotel werd nog gewerkt aan renovatie. Daar hebben we niks van gehoord. Bij inchecken was er goed overleg over welke kamer en mochten we eerst gaan kijken of het ons beviel. De citykant is een stuk onrustiger qua geluid van buiten dan de bergkant. De citykant heeft 2 losse bedden, de bergkant 1 kingsize bed. In het restaurant kun je kiezen uit lopend buffet of a-la-carte. De kwaliteit is goed, maar de gerechten zijn qua samenstelling wat anders dan we in NL gewend zijn. Bijvoorbeeld echte pannenkoek als roti en beef rendang met gekookte aardappel erin. Maar dat is oké. Niks viel tegen dus ik gebruik dit stuk voor nog wat verdere beschrijving. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van ontbijt, maar kochten verpakte broodjes bij 7 Eleven en aten die op de kamer met een zelf gezet kopje koffie/thee. De bus en metro zitten dicht bij het hotel. Koop op het vliegveld de Octopuskaart om mee te reizen en te betalen in winkels. Die is makkelijk op te laden met cash en Visa. De taxi vanaf het vliegveld moet je cash betalen, maar je krijgt vooraf door een host een prijsopgaaf die klopt. Reken op €45-€50 voor een rit van 3 kwartier. Cash kun je opnemen bij een ATM op het vliegveld. Ik zal wat foto's van HK plaatsen en 2 van het hotel. 1 is met gele barkrukken en 1 van het zwembad.

• Thanakorn (5/5): Good location but bed was not clean. - The location within Aberdeen in Southern Hongkong is quite convenient if you work in Wong Chuk Hang or is travelling to Ocean Park or Stanley. The hotel sheets weren't changed from the previous guest's stay. My mother found strands of hair underneath the pillow and between the bedsheets. This was rather surprising since the hotel wasn't cheap, and we expected bedsheets used for different guests to be new.

So happy to see this hotel finally get the upgrade it deserved - I have stayed at Nina Island South hotel multiple times over the years, so I was incredibly curious—and admittedly a bit nervous—to see how the renovation would turn out. I am absolutely delighted to say that the wait was worth it. It is wonderful to finally witness this hotel reach its full potential. The transformation is striking. The overall environment, including the corridors and the rooms, is so much brighter and more energetic now. It has breathed new life into the place. The rooms themselves feel significantly more spacious thanks to the redesigned interior layout. I particularly loved the upgraded cushions by the window—a small touch that made a huge difference in comfort. And as someone who has visited many times, I really appreciate the new quality coffee machine in the lobby; it's a great addition. Of course, the service remains the heart of this hotel. The Housekeeping team welcomed me back with a beautifully displayed fruit bowl. Fiona from the service center was as lovely as ever, offering us desserts even though we were too full from the buffet! There was a brief disturbance from children in the corridor while I was napping, but Manager Cathy was incredibly quick to investigate and resolve it. Later, Manager Roman personally came to greet us in the restaurant to ask about our experience with the new renovations. It made me feel so valued as a returning guest. It's rare to see a hotel get both the hardware and the software so right. Congratulations on a beautiful renovation—I look forward to my next stay!

However, after many attempts, I was unsuccessful and found out by calling the hotel that they were fully booked. The evening manager, Fannie, was very understanding of our situation and helped us communicate with Yi, a colleague from the restaurant, to coordinate and arrange a room for us. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to celebrate the New Year together with a delightful lunch. I am truly grateful to Fannie and Yi for their customer-oriented approach and dedication to serving their guests.

The rooms are spacious, and the family rooms are ideal for families, offering plenty of comfort and space. • Charmaine (9/5): Overall not bad & value for money. - The room I chose actually comes with 2 separate rooms inside. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. We have nice view on high floor. The lift lobbies lightings are very dim in fact dark which we can hardly see. The 2 different levels we stayed are the same. There is no mineral water bottles in the room. We have to the glass bottles provided to take water at the end of the corridor which is inconvenient.

The adjoined rooms had some wear and tear and could have been a little cleaner. There were no mirrors aside from in the bathrooms.

The team went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and special. Due to my night shift before check-in, Manager Cathy kindly allowed me to check in early right after work so I could freshen up and rest before meeting friends for the hotel’s lunch buffet. This flexibility was incredibly thoughtful and set the tone for the entire visit. Fiona from the Service Call Center also deserves special recognition. She proactively arranged a private dining space for our group of five, ensuring we could chat comfortably and privately. Although we didn’t end up drinking, she even offered complimentary wine for us—a gesture that felt genuinely warm and welcoming. Additionally, I had arranged a surprise cake delivery for my friend. The hotel team handled everything flawlessly—receiving the cake, storing it in the fridge, and delivering it to the room at just the right moment. The execution was smooth and perfectly timed. Since my friends and I booked two rooms separately, Fiona, Cathy, along with front desk colleagues, ensured our rooms were adjacent and exactly the room type we preferred. Their attention to detail and proactive communication were deeply appreciated. The dining experience was another highlight. Chef Kenny still remembered me from previous visits and, along with Manager Ken, made sure we felt exceptionally welcomed and well taken care of even during a busy service. Their personal attention and warmth truly stood out. Special thanks also to Sammy, Cindy, Kelvin Chiu, Julia and housekeeping team for their attentive and coordinated service throughout our stay. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where the staff remember you, care for you, and consistently deliver heartwarming, personalized service. I cannot recommend it enough and will definitely return. • Scenic26696822720 (10/5): Good service, clean and comfortable! - We chose this hotel because it is close to Ocean park , just a station away. We dropped our luggages earlier than the check-in time , and to my surprise the room was ready for us ! Cathy and Kris were being very helpful that they even upgraded our room to the highest floor with a beautiful hill view. The room was clean and comfortable. And it’s quiet, the room is sound-proof well. The hotel has a gym room which open 24hr, unfortunately we were too busy to use their gym. I also realized they have buffet deals for hotel guests, but we’ve had plan for our meals so we didn’t have time to dine here. Right outside the hotels are bus stops going to Central, Causeway Bay and Kowloon. We took the bus and head to Causeway bay the next day which was easy.

Their staff were so warm and considerate; like Jack Siu, from the front desk, who kindly arranged safekeeping of my delivery (which had arrived before my arrival) to be delivered to my room directly. Not to mention the housekeeping team, who always made you feel like home.

• Andrew (8/5): A good and comfortable place to stay in a district where choice is limited - The room was fine. The location isn't particularly attractive, with street-level access more or less under the expressway, but it is where we needed to be, only a fairly short walk from Wong Chuk Hang MTR station and Mall. The hotel's elevator system in complicated, with taxi access on level 3 and the Reception on Level 6, requiring a change of lift to access the higher floors. We experienced a blockage with our toilet (but staff were very quick to respond and fix it)
