- doniczkaa (9/5): - Bardzo miły personel, czysty pokój wraz z łazienką. Dużo ręczników do użytku, darmowe mini kosmetyki w łazience. Śniadanie wliczone w cenę, dość spory wybór jedzenia i smaczne.

- Novruzov (9/5): -
- Menna (8/5): Very good -
- Hadžić (4/5): Disappointing - The location is good– just a short walk from Sultanahmet, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, and many other attractions. Although the hotel is situated on a hill, it is reachable on foot, though it may not be ideal for elderly guests or those with limited mobility.
The staff is very kind. The room was very small, with an unpleasant smell from the drains and a cramped shower cabin. During the stay, there was no water for one full day and no electricity the next day.
The walls are thin, so noise from neighboring rooms can be heard.
There was a lot of dust, the curtains were dirty, and the balcony was not clean either.
The hairdryer didn’t work, although a replacement was provided.
There were visible damages to the walls, indicating that the hotel is in need of serious renovation.
The food lacked variety, and the bread seemed to be from the previous day.
- Peko59 (8/5): Good and Happy - Convenient transportation near Tram T1 / Metro M2 , near food street ,market local , Bayazit Square , Sultan Muhammad. Grand Bazza The way up is a steep hill. Breakfast is too local.
- Dalibor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reeves (9/5): Superb -
- Mirjana (10/5): in love with Istanbul - Everything was great, stuff and service and terrace with amazing wiew. You need to add traditional Turkish coffee in menu. Everything else was great.

(4/5): Disappointing -
- Meer (2/5): Very poor -
- Abdul (2/5): Friendly people. We were not happy. - Breakfast was very good. The person who looked after the breakfast was just exellent We were placed in a room with a double bed between 2 walls so there was no space to walk . We literally had to get on to the bed from the bottom of the bed. When I booked my reservation I told them for 2 twin beds I was not happy with what they gave us.I should get a refund for it. The second night at 3:00am there was a drill noise avery ten or fifteen minutes. So we could not sleep soundly. We did complain about the noise they told they were sorry.
- Strahinja (10/5): Evrything was good,I have very nice memories. - Breakfast was delicious and nice. Room also was good.
- Omar (1/5): Bad - The manager was quite helpful and that's about it really Nothing about the hotel was good at all or as expected as per the descriptions and photos
The room is very small and not very clean with a lot of issues with the bathroom ceiling
The area is extremely noisy all day and windows don't isolate much
Wifi was so slow and not working properly
We had to book another hotel and move out from first day couldn't even stay there for one day
Booking.com doesn't work in Turkey for some stupid reason so we couldn't request cancellation online but discussed it with the manager and he agreed
- Yousef (8/5): Very good -
- Enida (7/5): Good -
- Mhamunkar (4/5): Disappointing -
- M.p. (7/5): Good - staff, price everything was old
- Nazmin (10/5): Staff at the Hotel were excellent in their service - I arrived to the hotel very early in the morning as checking was at 2pm, I was told when Nezir, the manager, arrives which is at 8am only he can make any Decisions. So as soon as Nezir arrived he told us to have breakfast, which I did not have to pay for and by 8:30am we received our room. I can’t complement Nezir enough for his warm welcoming and very kind nature towards me and my family, He is one of the best manager that I have come across. He is such a lovely and considerate person
The staff at the hotel were all, so welcoming very friendly and and very accommodating.
- Saleh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anzhela (5/5): Passable - Locations is good. Staff takes additional commissions for taxi and excursion prices. Breakfast is the same every day.
- Ahmad (9/5): Superb - Very helpful and friendly staff, spotless clean rooms and comfortable bed. Overall a good value for money
- Islam (8/5): Very good -
- Eglon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ziad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anna (10/5): Short stay near Beyazit - Wifi is good. Roof terrace has a nice view to the Marmara sea. The T1 station Grand Bazaar is nearby even though the road is uphill. The price is really affordable. Breakfast lacked diversity and some dishes weren't refilled even though it was 1.5h before the end of the breakfast.
- Mara (8/5): Very good - La terraza arriba con vista al mar.
- Imran (3/5): Poor -
- Ashrafsadat (5/5): I arrived very late night and As I booked fot one night they leveled up my room to a 4 bedrooms room - Breakfast was not good at all. The poorest part was breakfast 🫤 Having new bed sheets and renew the bathroom and make it more clean
- Omar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Babrou (8/5): Very good -
- Luka (9/5): Superb - I liked how simple and easy everything is, how nice and helpful are staff, how everything is clean.
Breakfast is also really good, its swedish table and there is variety of foods available, simit, milk with cereials, all kinds of marmelades for bread, watermelon, different kinds of vegetables, eggs, etc.
Also nice thing is terrace on rooftop, its possible to take coffee or tea from kitchen (comoletely free all the time) and go to drink in the terrace and enjoy view, hang out with cats which are all around and bring your own snacks from outside.
In surroundings of hotel there is plenty small shops to buy candies, traditional food (which is cheap, deserts).
Lots if important sights in Istambul are walking distance from hotel, there is also metro station 10 min wqlking away which is cheap and easy to use, so there is almost no need to use taxis or private car.
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional - I stay 18 days This is the best Hotel in istanbul best price breakfast was very Good mr suliman and nazir very friendly and mr ahmed 🌹every thing is clean relly i recommended this hotel all my greetings and respect for the staff thanks for every thing ❤️❤️

- M (10/5): Exceptional - The service was excellent ,every day nice cleaning.the receptionest Mr Sulaymon was very helpful and polite.
meine gesammtbewertung in ordnung.
- peter (2/5): - hotel was untidy . We would rate this hotel 11/2 stars only
Wij moesten 8 uren wachten totdat onze kamer vrij was.Hotel was zeer gehorig en personeel zeer onvriendelijk. We raden deze hotel dus niet aan.
- Shahd (6/5): May Hotel perfect staff
- Very nice and helpful staff; Nizar and Ozz and the others.
The hotel geographic location is good, very close to Grand bazaar and local restaurants.
The problem was the area(streets) were dirty.
And you have to be fit to go up hills reach main road/ metro.
The tour was wondrful.
- Nikolay (4/5): May Hotel give you fake extras - May Hotel offering free parking. It is not true. Hotel haven't parking. Hotel area is prohibited daily for cars. We have booked 2 triple rooms in this hotel but we got 2 single room with one extra large bed and claustrophobic room. For this room the hotel may receive only one star. 3 stars is a joke with clients.
- Q (2/5): Worst experience ever - Hotel is situated on a hill 20 minutes walk from the central sultan ahmet area.
Hotel staff decently friendly however rooms are tiny, dirty showers/bathroom.
The beds are terrible and require changing-staff are you paying attention!!
Bed sheets were dirty and when they got changed, which they did after 3 requests, the new sheets were also dirty.
I travelled with my pregnant wife so I required a hotel with breakfast...their breakfast was terrible. I had to spend extra money every morning to buy food from outside. We fell ill after eating the fruit the first morning. Bread was awful and the only decent thing to eat was the bread. Tea was so string and tasted like wee.
Overall, regardless of what your budget is, do not book here. Trust me, you will regret it. If I had the money to, I would've checked out the following morning and booked elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice hotel in a somewhat scruffy area - the hotel was really very nice. Situated in a somewhat "authentic" if not scruffy, but very safe working class area, the hotel was a little oasis in the midst of it. Don't need an alarm clock - the call to prayer at 6.00 will probably wake you - but that's part of the Istanbul experience!
- Peter (6/5): Difficult to find but worth it in the end - A nice little hotel, the pics make it look better than it is but it's in a pretty good location for Sultanahmet albeit tough to find at first - especially in the dark! It's on a very steep hill so beware if that's an issue for you. Aside from that it's clean, comfortable and cheap. The rooms are a bit small and it's not plush by any stretch but if your here to see the city rather than sit in your room then this will do you very nicely ( to sleep and pit stop).
- Gábor (10/5): Tiszta, jó elhelyezkedésű hotel - Kellemes négy éjszakát töltöttünk a hotelben.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good location - A good location with walking distance to all the tourist attractions. Its a 10 min walk however a hike up the hill so would not suggest to the elderly. The hotel is small but clean and friendly staff. The street gets busy in the night with trucks unloading and garbage collection which can get quite noisy. However the location, price and cleanliness offsets this.
;( personal distanziert freundlich.
für kurztrip okay
- Usman (8/5): Decent place to stay in middle of Fatih - Was cheap, right in the centre of the Fatih and if I am travelling alone for a few days will not mind staying again. Staff was helpful and even helped me traverse the Istanbul with helpful directions and tips. Just recommended to a colleague who would be staying with them in coming February.
- shimon alfassy (4/5): few issues you need to resolve - i had this hotel for overnight stay even the fact its far from airport (close to the fish ,market and grand bazar).the reason to do so was that in the website and in resevation i was promised free transfer back to the airport so it made it more economicly to me .when i arrived there, they told me that even i have it written, they will not suply it to me beacuse its a mistake !!! even it was written both on site (diferent ones) and also in resevation.room was nice but in 4 in the morning you get to hear the muazine calling and its not so nice (unless you muslim) ...
- Andy (6/5): Not a bad hotel, but... - The May Hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's in a pretty good location for all the historical sights (about a 15min slow walk). The room was pretty small (especially the shower), but well maintained... breakfast was nothing special (cold selection, bread, stewed tea). The main issue is that the street it is on is pretty noisy (bring earplugs!) and that no taxis seemed to know where it was. Once you got your bearings however you didnt really need taxis to see most of the sights...
