• Lovettavel1 (10/5): Could not have asked for more! - I emailed the hotel numerous times before our trip and always got prompt and helpful replies. The rooms are exactly as advertised and spotlessly clean. The rooms are well designed and absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast is fantastic, as is the location. There are loads of restaurants, cafes and shops around the hotel. It is the only hotel in the area that I could find with an elevator, which we desperately needed for our elderly mom. I do have a friendly suggestion about the breakfast area, which can get a bit chaotic during peak time. It would be more efficient to have a "one way" through the buffet area so that way people are not bumping into each other constantly. My family had a great stay and we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris. In the meantime, I am telling all my neighbors and friends about this lovely hotel.
• mary (9/5): Tasteful hotel in a great location - The location was really nice - very easy access to all areas of Paris. The room (and bed) were both comfortable with a great view. Most of the staff were friendly. We had a strange mix up with ordering breakfast in our room. The staff said we could and that we needed to select our hot and cold beverage options as well as our pastry. We didn't think twice as that's typical, along with all the other French breakfast items (baguette, jam, butter, yogurt, maybe ham, etc.) The next morning we received only the beverages and a tiny mini croissant - not the full French breakfast experience you expect while in Paris. It got sorted out but we had to get our clothes on and go downstairs to request all the other breakfast items (kinda defeats the purpose of breakfast in bed). The staff got it together for us, which we appreciated, but they weren't very friendly about it - they said "all you ordered were those items so that's all we brought." It was odd.

• Leila (2/5): Dark and small room - The location of the hotel is very central (but that also means that it's noisy with people drinking outside the rooms until after midnight). I booked for 2 nights. The first night was horrendous. According to the hotel, it had a water leak, so some of the rooms weren't available. So we were placed in the WORST room in the hotel. It was SUPER tiny and incredibly dark (the 1 small window looked out onto the airshaft). In addition, the room was near the elevator, so it was noisy. It was a terrible room. On the second night, we were moved into a nicer room, and we were fine with that. BUT the first night was a disaster. When we complained, we were told that rooms in Paris are small and expensive. As this was my 5th trip to Paris, I know what comparably priced rooms are like, and I never stayed in such a tight and dark room. (For the record, I travel to Europe 3-4 times per year, so I have reasonable expectations.) The pictures on the hotel's website and social media are misleading. While SOME of the rooms are nice and bright and very pretty, some are terrible and overpriced. If a hotel has a water issue and moves guests into the least desirable rooms, then accommodations (like reduced rate or complimentary breakfast) should be made. Oh, and be careful with ordering a taxi to the airport. We asked the hotel and was told the price was $110. When I questioned the price (a taxi from central Paris to CDG is never over $100), they immediately said, "oh, I can drop the price for you to $95." I had the distinct impression that the staff was trying to scam us. With so many great options in Paris, this is one to skip.
• tomermi (10/5): Location location - Location is so convenient. Literally 1 minute walk from the Bastille Metro and so close to place des vosges and La Marais. The only problem we found is that it's very easy to be locked outside your room, and that our room on the first floor was quite noisy due to noise from the street (restaurants, cars).
• larsma2026 (10/5): My favourite hotel in Paris - I have been visiting Paris at least four times a year for over 15 years and have always stayed at the Hôtel Bastille Speria, for the simple reason that I cannot think of a better hotel in Paris. It is a small hotel where you are looked after by exceptionally friendly staff at the reception and in the morning in the breakfast room. The location is very good, close to Place de la Bastille with its metro station which takes you all over Paris. But you don't have to go far to experience the fantastic atmosphere of Le Marais and the beautiful Place de Vosges.

• jrc-esq (10/5): A Gem at the edge of Place de la Bastille! - This 3 star hotel is on the edge of the Place de la Bastille and Marais areas of Paris adjacent to the legendary Bofinger, which means it is centrally and extremely conveniently located. Additionally, it is a small boutique hotel with a 24 hour/day front desk that is wonderfully run. The rooms are typical size for Paris, quiet, very clean and very nicely appointed with comfortable beds. The price is very reasonable especially since you get more than you pay for because everything you would want to enjoy about Paris is surrounding you including, lots of shopping (both art and fashion), jazz clubs, legendary restaurants, numerous bistros, and a vibrant nightlife. The energy of Place de la Bastille is palpable and radiates into the surrounding area including this hotel. Special shout out to manager Eric Lassovani for his wonderfully attentive service. I have returned and will return to this gem of a property. Go and enjoy!

Very close to a Metro Station and places like Notre Dame, Grand Palais and Musee D'Orsay are within walking distance. The rooms are small but well furnished and clean. The shower is wonderful and does not spray water all over the floor - which I have found in other hotels. Breakfast good choice and all staff friendly, helpful and patient putting up with my schoolgirl French! Would highly recommend

• Marielle (7/5): The staff was nice and helpful. Would visit again but I wouldn’t pay any extra for a deluxe room - The rooms were really clean, nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. We stayed in two different Deluxe double rooms, and they were not like in the picture which was pretty disappointing. The rooms looked pretty much like a standard double room, especially the first one. We then complained and luckily got moved into another rooms for our last night (we stayed 3 nights). The second room was a bit wider but still nothing like the pictures.

I would revisit the same hotel! - The hotel was in a quiet and nice neighbourhood, the stuff was friendly (especially Cecilia at the front desk when we arrived) and the room was super comfortable and big. The bathroom was even nicer than the one I have at home. The decor/design was also very beautiful. The only drawback I can find is that the room was not very soundproof (I could hear the toiled being flushed from the room next door). Our room was also next to the housekeeping storage area, and the frequent door opening and closing (normal for hotel operations though) was clearly audible inside our room.

Die Lage vom Hotel ist gut, denn in der Umgebung findet man zahlreiche Cafés, Restaurants, Shops, Galerien und Museen. Also eine Ideale Lage für die die den Stadtteil Marais entdecken wollen. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist gut, jedoch sind die Zimmer sehr klein und für einen längeren Aufenthalt oder für Reisende mit viel Gepäck weniger geeignet. Gäste die etwas lärmempfindlich sind könnten sich an der Geräuschkulisse der gegenüberliegenden Bar stören, denn täglich versammeln sich vor dem Lokal auf der Strasse jede Menge Menschen bis in die späte Nacht. Uns hat nicht gestört, aber sollte man wissen. Ich persönliche finde das Hotel etwas überteuert. Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt wirklich gefallen. Sehr klein und für einen längeren Aufenthalt oder für Reisende mit viel Gepäck weniger geeignet. Hotel ist aus meiner Sicht zu teuer.

• Muja11 (10/5): Convenient hotel for Marais - Excellent service and assistance from Beni at the front desk with bags, getting checked out, and a taxi for the airport. The room was well appointed and hotel centrally located just a few steps from Bastille station. I would definitely stay here again.
