Algún día nos ha apetecido comida preparada para cenar y sin problema hemos usado el comedor. Nos han dado mucha información del lugar, y el primer día nos indicaron en que restaurante ir a cenar y fue estupendo.El.dia k cogíamos el avión era muy pronto y aun así nos prepararon unos bocatas. Si vuelvo a Estambul sin duda volveremos.Muchas gracias a todos el personal. Lo recomiendo 100%. No puedo decir nada ,todo estupendo.

• Ryan (8/5): If you want a simple an elegant hotel near the Hagia Sophia, it is a great option! - Perfect staff. Very friendly and helpful. Great selection of simple do it yourself breakfast items. The room was very neat and tidy and the bed was one of the most luxurious and softest I have ever experienced! Amazing location for the price. And only a 3 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, right in the heart of the old city! Would definitely come again! My room was on one of the top floors so I had to walk a few flights of stairs whenever I came back to the hotel, as there is no elevator. Also there is a student hostel and bar right beside the hotel, so it tended to be a bit noisy late at night. But as I remember after 11pm (or so) it all quieted down.

Шумно: играет музыка, потом орут чайки, утром мула на всю улицу, дальше начинается ремонт дороги. 4. Завтраки невкусные и ни о чём, вся еда химическая, нездоровая. 5. С утра не было горячей воды пол дня 6. Дали одеяло очень старое без пододеяльника 7. Всё бельё неудобное, старое, застиранное. 8. В номере нет крючков для одежды, курток 9. Очень маленькая душевая, мыться в ней одно мучение 10. Давно не было ремонта, не меняли сантехнику( скрипели ручки дверей, есть чёрная плесень)

Я жила в одноместном номере на 4 этаже -- очень живописно утром звенят трамваи, из ванной открывается дверь на винтовую лестницу, с площадки которой открывается вид на парк Гюльхане, дальние районы за бухтой и на Айю Софию и мечеть Зейнап-султан. Самые теплые впечатления! --

• Luisa (1/5): prima volta che vado ad Istanbul, brutto ricordo - scala scomodissima, camera troppo piccola, non certo come nella foto di pubblicita', camera molto rumorosa, si sentiva tutto anche dal piano terra della reception, una notte alle 2 sono scesa per chiedere che la smettessero di parlare perche' volevo dormire, in 4 giorni NIENTE PULIZIE IN CAMERA. Ma voi come date le stelle di valutazione ??? non c'era uno spazio interno per poter attendere qualcuno, in camera avevo solo una sedia scomodissima, insomma una brutta esperienza e guardate che io ho viaggiato molto ed ho imparato ad adattarmi alle varie situazioni, ma questa e' stata proprio brutta.

Hotel Staff, especially Idris, went out of their way to help out with any plans, and itinerary for the immediate area. Their recommendations were on point and we had a wonderful time. Restaurants and Cafes in the area were delicious.

Still great value. Great location near most of the really important sightseeing sites in downtown Istambul. Very good breakfast with lots of fried vegetables and several kinds of cheese. Extraordinary reception staff members. Nothing.
• Julian (10/5): - This is an older hotel so no lift but it's right next to everything! Walking distance to blue Mosque, topkapi palace, you can see the Hagia Sophia from your windows. The T1 tram stop at gulhane is 1 minute walk as is gulhane park. Easy access to public transit you can be anywhere in the city in around an hour and a half (yes even the airports)

• Juan Carlos (10/5): An oasis amidst a greedy chaotic city - Location is fantastic at a short walking distance from the main attractions. Prices in Istambul are exhorbitant due to the decision of the Turkish Government to raise the entrance fees of all iconic sights so as to attain fhe most expensive sightseeing prices in the World. Downtown hotels, restaurants, bars and shops have followed that path of tourist greed and Modern Sultan Hotel is an exception in downtown Istambul. 45 Euros per night for a single room including breakfast is unbeatable value considering that it is five Euros cheaper than the entrance fee for Topkapi Palace, which costs 50 Euros. All the reception staff members are fluent in English and they are able to talk to you for a while but also to assist you if you are in trouble or have any doubts. This is exceptional in a city where no one speaks English in the streets and where very few receptionists, waiters and shop assistants have the fluency of an English native speaker. I liked breakfast, specially the Turkish dishes. The room was tidy and clean. The single bed was not very comfortable and the bathroom was small.

So it's super convenient and walkable to all the major sites: blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, topkapi palace, Bsilica cisterns, grand Bazaar you name it. Staff is helpful and goes out if their way to care for you. They helped set me up with a sim card for my older phone.
• Asiya (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staff who are knowledgeable of Istanbul. They gave loads of tips and advice regarding best mode of travel. I was shocked at how close the main tourist attractions are. The tram is only 2 mins away and there are many local convenient stores and eateries available on foot. Breakfast was ok but we had no time to enjoy it as there's so much to do. Towels were changed daily, hot water always available. We were on the top floor with a view of the Hagia Sophia which was amazing, there's no lift so be aware. Fridge in the room was handy to store water bottles. The call to prayer can be heard clearly from the room, the night was quiet, some music can be heard from next door but all quiet after midnight. My stay in Istanbul was magical and the hotel were part of that.

• Alessandro (9/5): - Il punto forte di questa struttura è decisamente la posizione, hai a portata di mano tutta la città vecchia. Abbiamo girato a piedi. Staff disponibile e cordiale sempre pronti ad offrire un buon thé o caffè, soprattutto Idris e Eren, che Salutiamo con piacere. Le stanze sono davvero piccole. Mancano le tende da giorno.

• Mir (8/5): Decent place for a decent price. - Clean place, near the main downtown center. Smokers everywhere. They should be more Cautious about people who dislike the smoking odor or have allergy is health issues.

• Roshan (10/5): - The Modern Sultan Hotel is in a great central spot for a great price. It is boutique, has a lot of character yet has the amenities you need. A large shower, good working AC, and very walkable. I see the Aya Sofia outside our window. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the free breakfast is exactly enough to start the day. 24 hour coffee and tea is also available at your service, and they have a nice front porch to sit and enjoy it! I would recommend if you are looking for something different than the typical hotel; a unique experience for sure.
• Yu hui (6/5): - It was hard to find because it was in the back of an alley, and I was tired from walking all day, and it was hard because it was located in a high place and the room was the highest, so I couldn't rest quickly

I had issues with public transport due to national holiday on 1st of May and they gladly helped me with arranging alternatives, served tea and called taxi. The room had great view and bed was really comfy. Location was perfect, close to main attractions. the breakfast could be more diverse but it was fine for me especially for the price

• JONATHAN (6/5): - The rooms are large, and ornate, but lacking in maintenance. The air conditioning did not work, fittings were loose, or did not work. The staff were lazy, on their phones all the time. Breakfast poor, a cling flim covered plate of cheese, tomato, pink meat of some kind, but plenty of bread.

• Salima (10/5): - The staff was amazing. They treated us like part of their family. They were very helpful in finding us private transportation as I was traveling with elderly parents. One of the family rooms we had booked was being renovated, so they gave us an additional room for 2 nights for free. It is a very small place but very cozy and comfortable. This place is very close to all the places we wanted to visit.
• Antje (10/5): - Kleines mit viel Herz geführtes Hotel mit Blick auf die Hagia Sophia und zentral, in einer kleinen Seitenstraße gelegen, zu den anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Blauen Palast, der Zisterne und dem Topkapi Palast. Die Zimmer sind individuell mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war lecker. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen.

The hotel staff were fantastic and made the stay enjoyable. Noise during a few nights when there was work going on nearby late at night. The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable to sleep in.

• Sioueng (10/5): Gulhane option - Super location just off Gulhane tram stop. Staff / Idris..were friendly, & helpful with local food suggestion (Kosh Kebap), breakfast was decent. Will stay here again. My single room is very compact, good for me. May be a squeeze for others

• Eufemia (10/5): We had a great time and amazing stay here at Modern Sultan Hotel. - Location is very near the tram like 2 min. by walk and near the tourist spots like Hagia Sophia, Sultahnamet Square, Topkaphi Palace like 3 minutes by walk only. The bed is very good and comforting. I forgot my toiletries and Atajan lend a toothpaste for us. Will certainly come back here next time. Idris and all the staffs are all wonderful. No elevator but it's OK. Idris is very helpful. He carry all our luggages to the room.
• Muhammad (8/5): Great location - In old town with most tourist attractions like blue mosque etc within 10 minutes’ walk. Two metro stations including Sultanahmet approx. 5-7 minutes’ walk. Owner/manager very helpful in arranging airport transfer/tours etc. Pub next door wont stop music/dancing/lights till mid-night—on Friday and we struggles to sleep a few hours to catch early morning flight. Double bed mattress uncomfortable, could practically feel springs in it.
