• Tina (6/5): - Location was excellent. Walking distance to great local, non-chain restaurants, eateries, coffee and markets. Also, the restaurant attached to the hotel was awesome. Good food, music and drinks. Gets very crowded but service and wait times were exceptable. Hotel looks great from the outside but the rooms are small, furniture is old, chipped and scratched up. AC is a portable fan and window unit. Drapes were old and frayed. Pillows were flat and crinkly, bedding duvet was an old style quilt. Nothing in the room was updated, upgraded except the TV. For the price per night I expected at least a better effort to make the rooms comfortable. Front desk staff were ok but didn't go out of their way to be friendly. Again, for the price per night my expectations were greater than the actual experience.

• Kari (4/5): - My room was dirty, the bathroom facilities were unacceptable. Filthy vent right above the shower, dirty sink. Bed was smaller than I expected and I woke up with lesions on my skin.

• Valencia (9/5): Beautiful historic property, friendly staff and basic comfortable, clean rooms in a central location. - Beautiful historic building in a central location. Loved the lobby decor and the old Hollywood photos on the walls. No lobby bathroom, had to use an unoccupied guest room after we checked out.

• Vania (7/5): Even for its location, is not worth the price - Location Smells like humidity, it doesn’t have plugs on the light table which makes very uncomfortable to charge and use cellphone at night

• Nicol Collins (5/5): Holiday - Wasn't too far away from Hollywood Too much light came into my room from the street outside at night and very noisy with traffic. The air-conditioning was very loud, had to turn off at night so I could sleep. There was a smell from it as well. People staying above me were constantly moving around so floorboards would squeak all night. One of the room keys would not work.

• andergtr (8/5): the coolest cheap hotel in the area - was looking for something affordable and found this cool hotel on hotel tonight. it’s an older property and the rates are on par with a cheap motel but it was a way better choice. everything was clean and functional and the bed was comfortable. amenities are basic but there is a cool cocktail bar/restaurant downstairs called the edmon. it has a bit of a hostel feel though the bathrooms aren’t shared. would definitely come back. parking in the back lot is $18. and they don’t take a deposit for incidentals. two free bottles of water, too.

• Jesse1950 (8/5): - Excellent location and accessible to several tourist areas. The parking, although reasonably priced, was a bit inconvenient, and water pooled in both the bathtub and the sink.
• Rossana (9/5): Ottimo, torneremo volentieri! - Struttura pulita e ben organizzata, reception gentile, parcheggio disponibile a pagamento 18$ al giorno, indispensabile vista la zona. Arredamenti molto belli. Disponibile sweet corner proprio accanto x colazione (locale separato e a pagamento ma con ottime proposte). Ristorante aperto per cena e aperitivo di ottimo livello con prezzi nella media per L.A. Buona zona x visitare la zona nord di L.A. come Griffith park, Universal studios, Walk Of fame e non distante da Beverly Hills (sempre in auto o Uber ovviamente) Le camere con vista sulla strada (Melrose av.) sono un po rumorose perché la strada è molto trafficata ma la nostra camera aveva la vista sulla scritta Hollywood!

• Aldo (6/5): Bene, ma non benissimo. - Buona posizione per visitare la parte nord di LA camere pulite. Ottimo ristorante. La moquette come pavimento. Odori un po sgradevoli. Parcheggio a pagamento 20$ a notte.
• Julien (7/5): Correct pour le prix au regard de l’offre hôtelière à L.A. - Ambiance âge d’or d’Hollywood, localisation plutôt centrale pour se rendre (en voiture) vers les différents points d’intérêt. Bouteilles d’eau mises à disposition et renouvelées chaque jour. Chambre un peu vieillotte (mais propre). Énormément de bruit en provenance de l’avenue sur laquelle donnent les fenêtres (mal isolées), avec un carrefour à l’angle (jour et nuit bruits de freinage, de démarrage en trombe, klaxons, accidents, etc.). Pas de gel douche fourni dans la salle de bain. Parking payant (18$ par jour).

• Deborah (5/5): Hotel needs an update - The location, and the Edom Bar and restaurant next door. There is parking on site. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms were small, the bathroom tiny, the grout moldy, the decor awful, the towels thin and stained, no coffee maker in the room.

Extraordinary courtyard in rear. The bed pillows needs variety. Parking was misleading on site when I booked. I was unaware upon arrival of an $18 per night self-parking fee.

• patrick (9/5): 4th time staying there . I like it . Will stay again - I have stayed there a few times . It's old ( Built on the 20s) but it's very clean . Quiet if your room faces back . Hotel has a nice lobby and the staff is very friendly . Large rooms , good shower pressure , small fridge in each room Nice coffee shop on site . Lovely bar with outdoor patio for happy hour . Nice looking dining room for simple fares . I like the location . half way between WEHO and Silverlake . Lots of dinner options close by as well as coffee shops and art galleries . I usually book a kind but once had a 2 queens bedroom and it had bigger closet space . The Parking is safe and fairly priced I once had a room facing Melrose and it was too noisy for me . Some people love having the view of the Hollywood sign and therefore should face front I believe the view is great from the third floor Depending on the room , the bathrooms can be small . Not loving the pillows

• Caroline (8/5): Gute Lage, für Europäer benötigt es ggf. Eingewöhnung ;) - Der Standort ist unfassbar gut, wir haben fast alles innerhalb von 10-20 Minuten erreicht, auch der Parkplatz ist für LA-Verhältnisse günstig und sehr praktisch. Außerdem fanden wir das kleine Café an der Hotelecke super für unseren morgendlichen Kaffee Es gab nur ein Schloss an der Tür des Zimmers kein Deadbolt, das empfanden wir nicht besonders gut. Es hat außerdem ein extremer Parfümgeruch im ganzen Hotel geherrscht, an den man sich aber gewöhnt.

• Marinus (2/5): Erg slechte service - We kwamen iets eerder aan na een autorit van 6 uur. We mochten niet plassen daar en we mochten pas na 15 uur terugkomen. Erg onvriendelijke vrouw die ons gigantisch afsnauwde, we hebben rechtomkeerd gemaakt en een ander hotel geboekt
• Ai (10/5): また泊まりたい！ - ハリウッドからも近く、立地が良かったです。徒歩20分くらいの場所に品揃えの良い大きなスーパーもあります！ ホテルはレトロな感じでとてもオシャレです！毎日タオルの交換、ベットメイキング、シャンプーリンスなどのセットや人数分の水の補充がありました。ポットはないですが、共有の場所（１階の外）に電子レンジがあります。チェックイン前、チェックイン後も荷物を預かって貰えて、助かりました！

• Kristin (8/5): - Das Hotel ist gut gelegen. Nach Hollywood und nach Downtown sind wir bequem mit dem Bus bzw. mit der Metro gefahren. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ausreichend und vor allem sauber. Es gibt leider keine Kaffeemaschine, keinen Wasserkocher, noch nicht mal in der Lobby.
• Daniel (10/5): Stay where the silent movie stars stayed, in a historic hotel near Parsmount Studios! Clean, quiet, easy onsite parking, - Beautiful, historic, quiet- the only place I stay in LA. I loved everything, I’ve stayed there for over a decade.
