• Fröhlich (5/5): Wir genossen unseren Kurzaufenthalt in Amsterdam, die Erlebnisse wogen die Erfahrungen im Hotel auf. - Die Betten waren sehr angenehm, das Zimmer war sauber. Im Bad rann Wasser aus der Leitung, die Dusche führte jeweils zu einer Überschwemmung, ab 11 Uhr abends gab es kein Warmwasser mehr, Hotelmanager erwies sich sehr unflexibel mit Bezug auf eine mögliche Verschiebung des Kurzaufenthaltes, bzw. reagierte weder auf Mails noch Telefonanrufe.

• Heinrich Lange (10/5): MARAVILHOSA!!! - Eu gostei de tudo, pois a acomodação era excelente, a localização muito boa e o anfitrião muito simpático e prestativo. Certamente, eu ficaria novamente nesse apartamento e recomendo para todos que queiram visitar Amsterdam. Não tenho nada a comentar, até mesmo pq eu gostei de tudo.

• Jovana (1/5): Impossible to stay there, it is dirty and you don't feel safe. - Nothing. It was a disaster! We paid almost 800e for three nights, it was not refundable. When we sow the room and the host we run away immediately and had to found another hotel. The host was like he was very drugged. We were scared to stay there, we did not feel safe. This is not a hotel. There is no reception. When you enter there you can feel the bad smell. Rooms are dirty and towels are not clean. I would rather sleep on the street than there.

A little bit far from central but still so many ways to get there quickly and efficiently as only 5 min walk from tram stop into town

• Domonique (10/5): Amazing Stay - Amstel Corner is away from the hustle and bustle but only a few tram stops (tram number 4) from the city centre. We stayed in the honeymoon room and we loved it. We loved the balcony and large and clean room. Fokko was lovely and greeted us on arrival. We were late as our flight was delayed then we got lost but he was still welcoming and easy to contact via WhatsApp. The stairs to the room are steep but we didn’t mind and it was worth it for the room. We would deffo recommend and we will come again! We liked everything!

I would love to go back! - The Amstel was in a great part of town- close to everything but just far enough away from the busier parts like the red light district. There was a great view of the canal, and it was just a few blocks away from a huge street market. Close to the train station and other transport. My husband accidentally left his passport in the room when we checked out. The proprietor save our trip my mailing the passport to our next destination! We were so grateful and he saved us from having to go to the embassy. The staircase was very narrow and steep. It was difficult to navigate even for people in good physical shape.

• fiona (10/5): Fabulous room in a nice quiet location, great host! - The hotel room was so luxurious and spacious. It was my wife’s 30th birthday and it just felt like a treat. The very narrow stair case. It is about nerve racking going up and down but the room was worth it.

Cuando llegamos el día del check-in nos encontramos que nuestra habitación estaba siendo ocupada por otra persona. El dueño del hotel nos indicó que se solucionaría para el día siguiente. Al día siguiente, nos dieron otra habitación que también estaba ocupada. Nos consiguió ubicar en una habitación que no tenía agua caliente ni toallas.

• Georgia (3/5): Ταλαιπωρία - Μόνο καλό στρώμα ..τίποτα άλλο βασικά Ήταν πάρα πολύ μακριά από το κέντρο βασικά αναγκαστικά περνάμε ταξί κάθε μέρα ούτε μετρό είχε κοντά δεκαπέντε λεπτά με τα πόδια μέσα στο κρύο του Άμστερνταμ και την βροχή .Το δωμάτιο ήταν τρίτος όροφος με 54 πολύ στενά κατακόρυφα σκαλιά δεν είχε ασανσέρ …σκέτη φρίκη .Πληρωσαμε περίπου διακόσια ευρώ την βραδιά γιατί στην σελίδα σας έλεγε ότι ήταν στο κέντρο και δίπλα σε κανάλι που ήταν αλλά μακριά από οτιδήποτε άλλο Ούτε σούπερ μάρκετ δεν είχε κοντά δεν είχε τίποτα κοντά .Πολυ κακή επιλογή

Lovely host who was helpful and has written fascinating book on the history of the hotel. I didn’t mind but steep stair case to climb. Nothing was lovely and would stay again.

• Marilena (9/5): - Ωραία τοποθεσία και το δωμάτιο ήταν αρκετά άνετο. Εξυπηρετικός ο ιδιοκτήτης μας βοήθησε με το ανέβασμα και το κατέβασμα των αποσκευών στον τρίτο όροφο που ήταν το δωμάτιο μας. Ότι δεν υπάρχει ανελκυστήρας και για άτομα που δυσκολεύονται με τις σκάλες αυτό είναι πρόβλημα.

• Craig (9/5): Amstel Corner Hotel was a great place to base our travel in Amsterdam - Fokko was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was quiet with a very nice view over the canal. We used the tram to get around during our stay and this was very close to the hotel.

• Barron (10/5): We had a wonderful time. The owner was a sweetheart and had a passion for Amsterdam history. - The location was perfect. It was on a beautfiul street just a quick walk to everything. The owner was so knowledgable and gave us so many tips on local sites and treats. Nothing- it had everything.
• Richard (4/5): Location good, stairs difficult, no lift, room good. - The stairs are steep and narrow, if we knew there was no lift and we were on the 3rd floor, we would not have booked, they are dangerous. We were happy with the location, the caretaker was friendly, would consider staying again if on the ground or 1st floor only. Also, the information said there was Netflix available which did not work, the caretaker could not fix it.
• Jūratė (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Authentic house. Just a comment : some minor repairs are needed :blinds, bed support. And be careful with stairs (very narrow and steep)
• Helen (10/5): Can’t wait to stay again - Beautiful room, we stayed in the dream room and it was exactly that. Light, airy and had a lovely sized balcony. Small kitchenette so we could make tea and coffee and fill up our water bottles. The shower was lovely and powerful and plentiful toiletries. Comfy bed too. Thank you for a wonderful stay Nothing

• Nordquist (9/5): Superb - The room was huge and a wonderful little balcony overlooking the canal. The only issue was you need to have strong legs if you have to stay on an upper floor. We had, and I counted them,lol,...38 stairs each way. The stairs.
• Renata (10/5): Wonderful experience - We had a wonderful stay at Amstel Corner Hotel! Fokko is an amazing host — he welcomed us warmly and made sure everything was perfect from the start. The location is ideal: close to everything, yet incredibly peaceful. Our room had a lovely little balcony facing a beautiful garden, which made our stay even more special. The accommodation was fully equipped which made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this charming hotel — we would definitely stay here again! Everything was great.

• Vasudha (4/5): Overpromissed luxury, mediacore stay not suitable really due to ant infestation which needs resolving. - Location Unfortunately there were ants in the property and they wouldn’t go away nor were we warned beforehand that this was an issue (it seemed owner knew about it). No hooks to hang clothes in bathroom not even to hand towels. Radiator was not working in bathroom. Induction hob was temperamental and not working consistently and kept asking to remove the pot or not turn on wasting time in morning.

• Diane (9/5): Charming hotel a little off the beaten track. - Charming canal side hotel with self catering rooms. Located in an interesting neighbourhood with convenient access to public transportation. My room had a balcony overlooking a green garden space. The stairs are steep and shallow. There was very little storage space in my room.

• Tony (8/5): Cute place and accessible to everything. - Clean and up to date rooms. There are some eateries nearby and close to transportation options. Very steep stairs inside and going to the third floor maybe difficult if you are not aware along with luggage.
• Susan (10/5): Exceptional - This was a delightful stay. Outside of the city center but easily accessible by city tram. We actually walked most days just to see the sights and canals of this gorgeous city. The bed was very comfortable and the owner was friendly!

• Cosme (10/5): - Really enjoyed the property and our host Fokko was very attentive. Also Jasmine was so diligent and helpfull. Coffee was provided and had room service every day. Although we enjoyed our stay, take notice that there are a lot stairs (Play room was in the last floor). A plus was that our luggage was managed by Fokko an his staff during check in and out, but going up and down daily could be difficult! Thanks Fokko for being a grate host.

• Carly (10/5): Great hotel, great location, great host! - It was out of town enough to avoid the crowds but close enough to walk into the main part. the owner was brilliant, we flew out on the day Heathrow closed so our original flight was cancelled and we managed to rebook one from a different airport and he was so accommodating and understanding. We turned up late at night in the end but he was there to meet us and never made us feel it was inconvenient. correspondence with Fokko was brilliant and he was there if we needed him! We stayed in the Play Room, spotlessly clean every day we were there which was lovely! The only negative I could find was the stairs as we were at the very top and although this was fine for us, some people may struggle. wouldn’t recommend for the elderly etc.
