- David (8/5): Basic good value hotel, suitable for short stays - Room was clean and spacious, and check in process was smooth. Good shower. Free parking. Central courtyard area which is a nice area to sit and admire the fishpond. Would stay at again for a night or two. The area surrounding the hotel is pretty grim so don't expect to go wandering on foot. Right on main road so traffic getting in and out of hotel is pretty bad. Room has tiny balcony looking onto car park which is I suspect is only there for smokers (although all rooms are non smoking)

- Bianca (4/5): - It’s an affordable place to sleep. Place was dirty, the shower was a tub and difficult for someone with accessibility. The lights in the shower are connected outside (closed circuit) so it didnt work without it. Shower had stains everywhere and tub was full of holes.

- Sherna (8/5): Generally very good, but noisy neighbours can spoil it. - Although quite an old building, the basics are all well covered. The shower looks old, but the water ran plentifully and hot. The lounge area in the atrium inside the building is a nice touch and includes microwave and air fryer for the use of guests. Residents in the room above arrived at 11pm, loudly and continued talking loudly, banging doors, walking around until 1am when I went to talk to the concierge who nodded as if he was going to do something about it. It was not until 4am that they quietened (or maybe I just fell asleep...). Very very disappointing, as the whole point of renting a room to sleep, is to be able to sleep. The policies expect quiet after 10.30pm, I think, but this is pointless unless it is enforced.

- Audrey (1/5): Do not stay here!!!!! - There is nothing positive to say about this property and the management is non responsive in terms of issues. The room was not as advertised in the photos. My partner checked in and the room was damp and had an unpleasant odour. There was dust, and the room was unclean. He asked for a refund (in part or in full) and it was declined despite him only being there for 5 mins and handing the keys back. I've addressed this with the manager to no avail. I will not be recommending this property to anyone!

- Steven (7/5): Lovely helpful staff, close to public transport - The property was in a good location for public transport, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Overall the room was clean, the bathroom could have done with some addition cleaning. The area in the middle of the hotel is nice to sit and have meals, unfortunately the noise can echo at night especially if people aren’t quiet when returning really late.

- Mad64 (6/5): Value for money - Location and value for money compared to other accommodation in Sydney Bed a bit uncomfortable. The rooms have been updated since my last visit a couple of years ago but beds need replacing. Springs in back a tad hard.

- XIAODONG (1/5): - 公共区域有微波炉和共用餐具，使用后酒店会帮你洗碗。有免费洗衣房（但很脏，而且提供的洗衣粉会使衣服掉色） 没有无障碍设施，住在二楼没有电梯，需要自己搬行李上楼。房间有一股很重的地毯味，走廊里也很潮湿，我实在难以呼吸，不得不打开空调，结果空调也特别老旧，往外吐灰，还吱呀作响。冰箱也很响。窗外的马路车来车往也非常吵。楼内隔音也很差，因为房间和走廊之间不是墙而是玻璃。晚上在厕所地上看到虫子。吹风机和柜子都是脏的。客房保洁甚至不会为你更换床单，只是拿下来抖抖重新铺上。提供的茶杯边缘都长毛了。房间里的所有布艺表面都很恶心，我甚至不愿意坐在椅子上。因为不能退款，我每天都数着日子盼望搬出去的那一天。

- Misha (8/5): A pleasure - Garden Lodge Sydney is a solid budget-friendly option in Sydney’s Inner West, located in Haberfield. The hotel offered clean comfortable rooms with essentials like air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Overall, it’s a budget-oriented stay that generally delivers basic comfort and a decent location. Staff are also lovely and very helpful. There can be heard noise from the busy road and neighbouring rooms, no complimentary water like other hotels in this in similar price ranges and tea and coffee facilities are below average. These can all be overlooked with the comfy bed!
