Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): - My family and I absolutely loved this hotel. Friendly staff and a great environment. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Istanbul.
- SANTIAGO (8/5): - The best thing is that it is on the corner of sultanahmed square. It is a small hotel with no more than 10 rooms, without an elevator. Of the days of stay that were more than a week, one day they did not make the room. the hotel is a bit old without much maintenance but clean. there is no front desk attendant.
- Naheed (6/5): - Very close to all landmarks
No lift not ideal with luggage and bad back
- Achraf (10/5): - Amazing
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - I wish I had listened to the terrible, terrible writing here. Thanks to them, 3 days that could have been very enjoyable passed very scary. We were deceived by the location of the hotel and the 4-star appearance on this platform. From the dirty pillows to the moldy bathroom, it was a horrible time.
- Alice (10/5): Amazing. - Beautiful!
- Zeki (6/5): - Naja, Zimmer nicht sauber.
Aussicht toll.
Hotel Standort 1A.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Malek (2/5): Terrible - İs was horrible, there is no room service no cleaning service the doush in the bath rooms doesnt work no elevator, the phones in the rooms doesnt work and they dont answer on there work telephone line.i dont know how it took this rate on your website.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Foto non rispecchiano le camere. Basso livello delusione
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ubicacion Perfecta - Ubicacion Perfecta
- Anne (8/5): - The hotel has a very good location close to all the tourist attractions
- THOMAS (10/5): True to Advertistment - Excellent stay, great location, food and facilities. idea for city break
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hospitality, and location, very good and respectful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hospitality from the staff members made us feel at home. They have excellent food!
- Cosmin (8/5): Overall experience very good - Very nice location 2 min to Blue Moschee and St. Sophia, excelent food, staff very friendly and extremely kindness. Rooms not so nice as expected as 4 stars hotels old furniture and some damaged items. But overall experience very good. 10 to location stuff and food, 7 2 to room and conditions.
- ABDULLAHI (8/5): - The excellent location, the nice and quiet neighbourhood
- Shah (4/5): Rude and unacceptable - Sir,
The gentlemen at the reception introduce himself as Mustafa, I am sorry for not asking to proof, in other hotels the staff do not lie about their name. I had no issue paying in cash for my stay, its was booked through Hotels.com by my cousin. My cousin has e-mailed the Seven Dreams Hotel and Hotels.com to inform them of it has been paid already.
the guest had a copy of my passport and bank card, We have not had any issue in the past and since we have informed the Seven Dreams Hotel and Hotels.com.
Your attitude does not justify the method of payments. you were despicable and totally unacceptable, you have ruined our holiday and no one should experience what we have gone through.
you are not fit for the job and the management needs to take serious action.
- Harry (10/5): 10/10 highly recommend, excellent value for money - Me and my wife stayed for a long weekend during Ramadan. The hotel and attached restaurant, were lovely. The owners could not have been more accommodating even going so far as to give us a brief tour of the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was, as advertised approximately 2-300m from the Hag Sofia and Blue Mosque.
Overall we would highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant to anyone.
- Chan (2/5): Bad choice - My booking was canceled 2hrs before check-in. They told us that there is issue with our room and we were left stranded without a place to stay for the day.
- Melinda (10/5): Amazing Ambiance - Incredible hotel for an experience traveler. Would not be ideal for those who cannot maneuver around stairs easily as stairway to rooms is a cool winding staircase.
- Mazhar (8/5): Istanbul stay - It a very nice location to be in. Middle of the city and the customer service was excellent. View from the roof is very good
- youssef (10/5): Perfect location and very comfortable room - Very nice staff
Great location
Very comfortable room
Nice breakfast
Affordable and competitive price for the location
I really liked this hotel and that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars
Thank you!!!
- ZAHID (4/5): - They don't serve breakfast eventhough it was included in price.
- James (8/5): Nice hotel and service! - Great location and price. Breakfast was fantastic!
- eric (8/5): Istanbul for a night - My first visit ti istanbul to catch a flight back to lax. No elevator was the worst thing the hotel has...but that really wasn't a big deal. The staff was extremely nice. The hotel was quiet. Location was only a block away from it all. Price was fair. I'd recommend this place to a friend.
- Rebecca (10/5): Istanbul Long weekend - Amazing breakfast view, wonderful room right in the centre of Istanbul and so helpful.
- Rosanne (8/5): Close walk to plenty of cultural adventures! - We loved staying at the Seven Dreams Hotel because the team was so friendly and the location was absolutely perfect. The rooms are basic and aren't super fancy, but they are clean. There's definitely some wear & tear, so if you're used to fancy Western hotels, you might be slightly disappointed in the appearance of the room itself, but the truth is, you shouldn't be spending much time in your room anyway! You are paying for location as opposed to make-up ;) The breakfast was large and served to us on top of the roof, which had a gorgeous view. The hotel itself is a short (less than 10 minutes) walk from the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, plenty of Turkish Baths (Hammam) and Hagia Sophia. Definitely would recommend staying here and plan on coming back!
- Louise (8/5): Fabulous location - The hotel is in the heart of Istanbul. Easy walking distance to everywhere I wanted to visit.
Very small hotel and the staff were incredibly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
- DinNic (8/5): Great Location - The hotel was in a perfect location in regards to being within a 2 minute walking distance to both Ayasofya and the Blue Mosque. It's in a quite little neighborhood yet lively all through the night so there is plenty to do. The staff was nice and friendly and all went well. The hotel is clean yet it's an older place so it doesn't look the most amazing from the inside.
- Kaps (8/5): Location sells it - Really great location. You really get an idea how close you are to Aghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque when the call to prayer at 6am blasts you out of your bed. I would say never having heard it before that although loud, it was a worthwhile experience to hear up close.
The only negative is the wooden false floor in the shower. I am not sure about its hygiene value, but it must be difficuklt for the cleaners to clean under and the stagnant water that must get trapped there can put off an unpleasant odour. If it wasnt for that, I would have given the cleanlines at least a 4. The room was very good.
Lots of hotels around and plenty of rug salesmen :-)
- Chris R. (6/5): Very close to all the sites - Close to all the main sites and area is easy to walk around. The mini bar consists of couple sodas, two bottles of water (still and with gas), small ice tray. It was not restocked while we were there for 4 nights. They had a sitting area on the top floor which served fruit and cheese plate and if you get there prior to 10:30a the lady up there will make you an omelet. She fixed two fruit plates and one omelet for the two of us. The room was clean enough for a European hotel and it's small, as most European hotels. They had a wood floor outside the shower and it had water damage which they put a rug over. I didn't notice any room service, maybe it come from their sister hotel, the seven hills, but there was not a room service menu in the room that I could find. The in-room safe is small but it held our passports, wallet and phone chargers. You might be able to find a better hotel, but we were more concerned that it had a balcony. It fit two chairs and you can see them in one if the pictures on line. Since this hotel is in the Sultanahmet there are large speakers all over that are for the call to prayer. You will hear all six per day and they start two hours before sunrise. Every hotel in the area will hear it. We didn't mind since that is part of being in Istanbul!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, great spot - My husband and I both work for Starwood hotels and were traveling for vacation. Needless to say we tend to be rather picky hotel stayers now, because of our line of work. We thought Seven Dreams met our expectations entirely. The location was perfect as far as proximity to the major sites, but also to the tram and some great dining options. We took advantage of the rooftop terrace (used for breakfast) by picking up some drinks and enjoyed the view and relaxing solitude. Gabriel and Jaheim (sorry if I spelled incorrectly) were both very friendly and helpful. We used taxis too and they were called to the front door of the hotel within minutes. The rooms were modern and showed some wear but we thought it was just fine. We also had the upgraded room with the small balcony which was great for evening people watching. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
- Juan (8/5): Small hotel, great location. - I visited this hotel in April 2013. It has only 6 rooms which I consider acceptable. The restaurant was being rebuilt and the advertised top-roof tables were unavailable, so I was sent to the Seven Hills hotel for having breackfast. The rooms were refurbished a couple of years ago. The minibar is unlimited on drinks. The hotel does not have complete sleeping comfort since the windows are not 100% noise proof. The Bluemosque is around the corner and twice in the morning the speakers would call for the 'salah' as loud as possible (like catholic bells). The hotel is strategically located in the Old City area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel of you want to visit the old city but unfortunately, 10-15 min by cab to go to Modern Istanbul (bars, restaurants, shopping)
Great service and nice rooms!
- Alex (6/5): Not goid value for money. - Cozy little B&B, with rates of a 4 star hotel. Tiny room, not the one shown in their website. Friendly staff but unprepared. No common areas whatsoever. Safety box and minibar were not working. Excellent location though. Overall, not good value for money.
- Björn (8/5): Seven Dreams - Greta location! Nice staff and good breakfast. Room is nice with good bathroom and internet works excellent!
- Axel (8/5): Good choice, but not (yet) boutique hotel - + Perfect location in Sultanahmed, only 5 min walk to main sites - and many restaurants and cafes just around the corner
+ Modern design of rooms (although rather simple material and already signs of usage)
+ Very spacious bathroom
+ AirCo/heater worked well
- Lots of dust in the room; but bathroom and sheets very clean
- Some signs of usage that could easily be fixed (loose boards, missing doornob at shower, dripping water fountain)
- chris (10/5): A wonderful boutique hotel in Sultanhamet - 7 Dreams Hotel was amazing. The rooms were exactly as pictured on the website. The were very clean and modern. The bed was one of the most confortable beds i've ever slept on. The glass shower was huge with a rain drop shower head and tons of hot water and pressure. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Sultanhamet but located on a quiet side street. The rooftop terrace has spectacular views. The hotel restaurant was closed, but alternative arrangements were made with the sister hotel next store (food was great). The best part of the whole experience was the hotel staff, especially Mehmit. He helped us constantly and treated us to wine at night and great conversation. Amazing place to stay.
