- khaled (2/5): bad - We were waiting for a long time at the elevator. I entered a room and did not find any towels or clothes hangers in it. The bathroom water was very dirty, the bidet was not working, and the shower also needed maintenance. Every time I asked him for a service, the receptionist told me that your reservation was not from the hotel’s website, even when I asked him. To add my stay to my membership so I can benefit from the points, he also told me the same response: I cannot because your reservation was not from the hotel’s website.

- Wai Kit Ricardo (8/5): - Staff was friendly, however since this was suppose to be a non smoking Hotel, some guest still smoked in the rooms and the smell is in the corridors but the staff could not enforce. The hotel is in dire need of renovations. Our room though upgrade to a junior suite, changed from Creek view to city view. The Shower room doors did not close, the kettle did not work and the lamp shades had fallen off. There was a layer of dust on the table legs. Though the top was clean.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad air-conditioning units, staff not cooperative - At first, staff were friendly and generous to offer an upgrade to our rooms. However, those room had an issue with the air conditioner and the staff could not solve it. We booked two rooms for one night only and we couldn't sleep. What was worse is that they have set the alarm in room to go off at 10AM while we couldn't sleep the whole night. At 11AM staff called to remind us that check out is at 12PM and when we asked to extend it for at least an hour due to the air conditioning issue; they simply refused and were not cooperative. This makes me think twice before staying at this hotel again to avoid repeating this bad experience again.
- Irene (8/5): - The hotel is very clean and spacious. But there is one man at the reception, im not sure if he is the supervisor or receptionist that he disrespect his customer. The receptionist lady was very good and she assisted me duting check in time, and she gave me a complimentary food as a welcome to thier guest. The thing is just about to give me the key of my room, and everything is done for the check in. And there is one guy came and ask her that which room you give? And the lady receptionist told him the room #, and he suddenly telling her that " NO, DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM, GO AND I WILL FIX IT", because there is one regular customer and he wants to priority them. The thing is ge must to apologize for me, as i heard everything in my front. Just next time try to be more professional when it comes on your customer either vip or not vip should be treat equally.

I had multiple issues with room service which either due to language barrier or a bad connection from my hotel room phone. The staff works hard and I appreciated that, but the service level is not what I would expect from a DoubleTree.

- Christy M (10/5): Best birthday arrangement, new and clean room - I was there to celebrate my daughter's birthday, right after my booking staff already contacted me and ask if my daughter is a kid / adult, so they could arrange the proper decoration. They arranged nice decoration and birthday cake as a gesture. The room itself is clean and new, front desk staff is very helpful and nice. We are very happy and satisfied.
- Eman (2/5): - I don’t have an issue with the property. I have an issue with Expedia and their faulty online system. My cancellation done BEFORE the fee refund deadline didn’t go through. I noticed and called Expedia who refused to refund me and instead said “we’ll see if the hotel is willing to refund you!” Expedia went from my favorite service to “I’ll never use this again”. Every time I book on them there’s a new problem or a new underhanded way to charge more - be it randomly changing rates at check out or making the cancellation service difficult “vs just a button like other platforms that shall not be named”. Expedia has sunk so low and I will NEVER use it again. Btw - I sent an email replying to Expedia’s email if I want to cancel the booking without a refund. I said yes. They never even bothered to cancel the booking. I don’t know if that email even got to them. I’m disappointed on every front. Don’t book on Expedia. Thanks

Our special thanks to staff at the check in (Kate, Ruth, John and Sajid) and the ones at the breakfast restaurant (Rose, Habiba, Flardia) who made sure that every moment of stay was personally looked after. A free access to their facility at Marjan Island was an additional bonus, which we thoroughly enjoyed too:)

- Ahmed (8/5): Good stay in general. - In general, it's fine. I stayed for 25 days. The twin bedroom is very big and comfortable. Large wardrobe. The swimming pool heater was not working. Room service sometimes they not changing towels when they do housekeeping, hand towel missing I have to call for it. Waters and tee bags also. But it's ok when I call them they bring whatever I need.

- Sylvia (2/5): - We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton in the city which offers complimentary access to their Marjan Resort during Eid Holidays and trusted they could manage the safety of the guests during the pandemic; we had no issues with the doubletree city hotel but had a terrible experience at the resort; we complained about the poor management of the customers behavior at public places; the pool was massively full and the people at the beach was not respecting the agreed distance; when we complained about this; the manager could not give a reasonable answer and in the end even threatened us to check us out of the hotel! disappointing and very denigrating to us showing us no hospitality at all; not going back there ever again. We had to check out earlier than planned. We have very well noted the name of the manager that showed poor judgement but we will not name it publicly; but threatening and raising the voice to a guest already shows he is a no valuable asset to his organization.

- Nigel (8/5): Great cheap stay. - I paid about 180 AED per night, so a bit of a barhain. Noticed pricedmhad almost doubled two weeks later, so was discouraged from rebooking. Booked because during the COVID bad cold doingnthe rohnds, i was looking for somewhere that wasnt overreacting and was keeping the gym and pools open. Gym was limited, but had the rooftop pool, whichw was quite small to myself. Rooms were modern and spacious - no complaints.

- Nourah (8/5): It was fine - The hotel for the price was nice , but the front services desk were extremely rude , we had late check in and they didnt even have room keys for us , they opened the room for us with the master key , and they only gave as one cookie , as they were out , they told me to pass by and get the other cookie and the room key next day , when i was checking out i told them i wanted my cookie , as i didnt take it when checking in, they stated that they cant give me because i dont have any prof that i didnt take the cookie!! Come on its just ONE cookie!!!

I would definitely stay here again. One thing that really upset me was that I climbed the stairs to the 4th floor and the door to the hallway was locked. I was very mad about that. The elevators took a long time to get on, so I decided to take the stairs. All for nothing. Double tree, you need to fix that!!! There is a Starbucks in the lobby. They gave us cookies when we arrived. It was a very nice hotel.
- Gillian (8/5): Good location, Average experience - It was a central location and a great location for shopping. The mall is just a few minutes away. It a minor argument with reception as they wanted to charge me the new UAE VAT a day before the implementation date. I booked a king bed but when we arrived it was booked out. Leaving us with two twin beds that had to be put together to make one bed. Shockingly as they were moving the beds the evidence of the cleanliness of the hotel was highlighted. Candy wrappers, luggage tags, toys, tissues etc were noticed as the beds were moving. The cleaning staff had to come back with a broom to clean under the beds.
- j (8/5): Clean and nice hotel. - Hotel was fine. Stayed one night for the RAK Half marathon. Close to Hamra Mall which was nice. Only complaint was that both my showers were cold. could not get hot water, and was no hair dryer in the room. Overall, nice comfortable room and friendly staff.
- Gillian (2/5): Not to be repeated again - To begin with the hotel charged the VAT(5%) to my stay a day before the implementation date. Secondly I had to pay an additional fee of 10%. After using the app Hotels.com for years it was the first time that I paid an additional amount to the total seen on the site and quote given for a room. I am aware of the Tourism fee per night for each room booked. But these charges was just beyond me. Day light robbery. I then had to remind reception that VAT should take effect 1 January 2018 and not 31 December 2017. Oooh was the response and then VAT was removed, but the other charges MUST be added. They did not have rooms available with a King Bed so they had to push the Twin Beds together for couples. Low and behold when the beds were moved we had to call for cleaning. As the beds were moved, toy cars, candy wrappers, baggage tags, dust and many more were discovered under the bed. The morning after a NYE celebration house keeping knocks on your door past 10am for dirty/used towels. Really now!! Definitely not a hotel that i would use again.

- Fiona (4/5): Noisy, needs maintenance - The lady who checked us in was very professional but other than that the hotel is disappointing. The TV didn’t work, there was a septic smell from the shower, extremely noisy, we even had to complain several times about neighboring guests being loud past midnight. It’s clear this building was not initially designed for a hotel as there is no service lift - this means lifts are stopping frequently.

- JM (8/5): Pleasant Staff - The staff was very kind and attentive. The room was Ok but the living room should be filled with more furniture or some nice pictures on the walls because there was plenty of unused space and white depressing walls. The bed was nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Avoid food in their restaurant, I ordered a Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, the chicken was dry and the mashed potatoes salty (was so hungry that I only complained with the waiter who picked up the plates from my room).

- Verified traveler (2/5): Not recomended - It didn't go well. Avoid to get the room No. 6023-1 , They told me its a special room, and it was in a bad way. No hot water which I had to take a cold shower in the morning and couldn't wait to fix that as I have an early business meeting. When I reported that, the reception said we will fix it for you in your next visit ! The room was noisy as I could hear all the talks in the rooms next to me. The room rate was almost similar to better hotel, I only chose it because my early meeting was very close to the hotel.
- Saeed (2/5): - Everything was so mess and I had to wait for almost 30 mins u till they find by booking and I just booked it for one night why was I paid for 2 nights and paid extra 15 AED local charges. I'm not booking with you all ever. Very bad service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A staycation to remember - Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff and wonderful stay, didn't realize that Hilton resort management has changed and hence access to the Hilton resort (NOT marjan resort, referring to the one closer to the hotel in Nakheel)is no longer available. The resort in Marjan was average at best. Hope management gives the Double Tree access to the Holton resort in the vicinity :) One can always hope :)

- Mary Siasau (8/5): Great Value for Money - This hotel is very good value for money. it doesn't cost the earth like some of the Hotels in this area and we had access to the very flash other Double Tree. So this was perfect! My room was really spacious and the breakfast was so yummy. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Also, I ordered a crib z same time and called hotel to confirm z request, still I couldn't get one. Staff incridly nice specifically at z restaurant and z room cleaning team.

- David (8/5): Central Location - There were no problems with the stay, I had been in this hotel before so I knew what to expect however there was a problem on leaving. A friend left a small package with the receptionist asking that it be given to me on checking out early the following morning, I didn't know that he had left anything. When my friend asked if I got the package I had to say no, because it was not given to me. He called the hotel to ask why it had not been handed over, the receptionist said that I had refused to take it. He called me to confirm whether this was true, I told him that it was not true.

But made up for it by Glen, Bhavik. service at breakfast excellent..limited choices in BF though. Located in t centre of Nakheel area so very good.

- Michael (8/5): Sofa bed is a sofa . . . not a bed ! - Stay for a family of 4 and booked a junior suite. Issue was sofa bed comfort. Mattress was minimalist so we ended up putting it on the floor. Even then it wasn't a good nights rest. Bear in mind I was here for the half marathon and finished in the top 100 (of 1700+ males)so am definitely not overweight !
- Eudore (8/5): Great Stay - Really enjoyed our stay - were upgraded for our anniversary - which was very nice. The staff were very courteous. Only flaw was no bottle opener in the room - was told room service will bring one - but will take it back and come again if we needed to open a second bottle. Otherwise a great property. - John (6/5): Poor customer service - Poor customer service at front desk. Much better service from manager. Must work on the friendliness of those who have first contact with customer. Much better with my previous stays at this property.
