- JAEWON (9/5): - 아주 깔끔한 느낌은 없었지만 전반적으로 흠잡을 부분은 없었던 숙소 비가 자주 내리는 대만 특성상 지하도 연결이 필수인데 Q스퀘어로 연결 및 타이베이메인역, 공항MRT가 연결되는 위치는 여행초심자에게는 아마도 최적으로 생각됨 조식또한 훌륭해서 음식점 고민없이 아침을 시작할 수 있었고 스파클링 스테이션에 대한 말이 많았는데 오히려 자유롭게 마실물을 얻을 수 있어 편리했음 다음번에도 동일한 조건이라면 선택할 것임

- Nicole Choo (7/5): Romantic with easy affordable priced shopping acess - Staff: EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. The moment you enter; ground team will start to help you with the luggage and arrangements for your check in on level 6. The entire process is well coordinated. Once arrive on the 6th floor; check in and out are a breeze and hassle free. Few members are able to converse in english and japanese. Ambience: Romantic and classical. Room air conditioning system is also working well and cools the whole room. Depending on which side of the rooms you get; some have no view from balcony as its facing another residential building. Bed: King size is SUPER LARGE. Able to fit 2 normal sized adult and 1 child (less than 4years old). Comfortable bed with 2 pillows per pax (standard of 2 pax) provided. Breakfast: LOVED THE TRADITIONAL TAIWANESE FOOD CHOICE. Selection and sample are shown and mostly made when requested. Waiter will serve you traditional tea to warm up your belly before you start on your breakfast. Breakfast service is from 630am-12pm. Good selection of english, japanese and korean breakfast theme. Walk-ability: MOS BURGER & McDonald's is just 2 minutes walk away by turning right once you exit the hotel building. Hotel is within the same building as I-SQUARE shopping mall; consist of mid level brands and local taiwan branding stores. Consist of many levels; do spend your time here too. Public transport: easy access to TAIPEI MAIN STATION through I-SQUARE shopping mall for train and access to TAIPEI MAIN BUS TERMINAL. You can also do a 2 minutes walk direct across the street to TAIPEI MAIN STATION by using the pedestrian bridge (if you don't like navigating the underground access; which may take a longer time). Bathroom and Toilet: Separated and too open. No privacy for user. Room concept is more suitable for married couples whom are super used to each other and have no issue with privacy with each other. Not suitable for friends/new couple outing. Room: Overall lighting is too dark for liking. the room we got was a Lion faced wall painting/deco; i felt that it was staring at me (not my liking). Entire hotel property: Too dark due to the design concept of the hotel.

- Vacation12021699602 (10/5): Great Hotel Experience - We had a great experience with this hotel! The first people that greeted us were Ori and Andi, they were super kind and welcoming. They treated us like family! Such an excellent hotel. The only small issue we had was that the atmosphere lighting was a little bit dim. We are older and it was hard for us to see, but not a minor problem for everyone!
- saxonz2023 (10/5): Fun stay in great location - 10/10 experience. Andy at the front desk was one of the nicest and most hospitable people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting while traveling. He truly made the stay memorable. I’d absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends and family. If you’re visiting from the United States, make sure to ask Andy for a fun fact about your state — he always has something funny, witty, and surprisingly accurate to say.

- chase_the_sun1 (8/5): Interesting stay - We stayed for 4 nights and booked the Executive Floor package which came with soem added benefits such as complimentary buffet breakfast, light snacks and drinks at the Lounge and discounted laundry service First off, the hotel’s location is convenient- easy access via foot bridge to Taipei Main Station. We however pre arranged the limousine service to pick us up as we had several bags and wanted to take the hassle of navigating through train station in a foreing city when we arrive. Driver arrived promptly at the arrivals area and we were at the hotel in about 45 minutes on a busy Saturday night. The hotel itself doesn’t have a grand entrance or facade from the outside which people might be expecting from a 4 or 5 star hotel. We stayed in a Prestige Deluxe King room. The room was an interesting layout - as you enter you have the cupboards on the left, bathtub on the right and then separate shower and toilet. The bathroom sink and mirror is open and is adjacent to the main living area. As others have mentioned the room is dark but we got used to it after a couple of nights. The turn down service was disappointing - beds aren’t made for turn down but a maid comes around giving out 2 small bottles of ‘tonic’ but we weren’t sure what it was. Google translate said it was a ‘chicken tonic’ Being a vegetarian I didn’t try it and neither did my partner who is not vegetarian The buffet breakfast at Le The was nice, some local delicacies, Japanese and western spread including a handful of vegetarian and vegan options although vegans may find it difficult to find something substantial. We had dinner 2 nights at Le The restaurant - simple menu and the food didn’t wow us.
- ambis2018 (10/5): Comfortable hotel with an excellent breakfast spread - My wife and I spent 4 nights at this property. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and service oriented. It is conveniently located next to a huge shopping mall with plenty of eateries nearby. Excellent breakfast spread! However, getting from/to the hotel from the metro proved a challenge for us! A tip: follow signs to the D1 exit once you get off the metro rail and at street level the hotel is walking distance. I am sure there may be an easier way but this tip helped us!
- Conor (10/5): Great Breakfast In Taipei - Exquisite hotel in great location right next to Taipei train/metro/bus station. Staff are all work class hospitality providers, so nice and friendly. Breakfast buffet is epically one of the best we have ever enjoyed!!!! Loved the hotel, but two items worth noting...Room lighting impossible to figure out, and lack of bathing/toilet privacy in the rooms difficult if traveling with someone other than a very close partner. We just dealt with it and it obviously did not negatively impact stay
- Perkoreyno (6/5): Oh...the LIGHTING!! Rrrrrrrr! - I stayed here twice on my last trip. The location of this hotel is excellent. Right next to the Main Train Station and a big shopping mall. With lots of interesting back streets with cafes, shops & restaurants. Breakfast was also excellent. And the staff were great. The room decor I found quite dated. But that’s just a personal thing. Some had the shower within a deep, circular bath. Which is old-fashioned. My big issue was the lightning! OMG….so many switches. It was the most confusing lighting system of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. When you turned one off…another came on. Then when you thought you had them all turned off…a sensor would turn all the lights back on in the bathroom! Who wants to have 5 lights coming on when you stagger to the bathroom in the middle of the night! 3 x I had to get someone to come to my room to show me how to turn the lights off. In the end I had an engineer come to each room to just remove the sensor and light bulbs. Please Palais de Chine…make it simple! Put “room” or “bathroom” above a switch so you don’t have to be frustrated by turning a light off or on. A hotel room is supposed to make you feel relaxed! Lucky I had a torch with me. It was honestly easier to use that than to muck around and get annoyed at night trying to turn the lights off!

- P3555AXmartink (10/5): Amazing hotel which looks like a museum - An amazing hotel. It is a combination of an museum and an old library. The decorations are stunning. A prestige club room gives you access to the executive lounge that offers you free snacks and drinks (including alcoholic beverages throughout the day. Free unlimited dinner is offered in the restaurant. Breakfast is served till 12 noon. Situated next to Tapei main transportation hub and Qsquare shopping mall. Best hotel I ever stayed.

- Missjane06 (10/5): Great luxxe property and excellent location - Palais De Chine is an quirky oasis within the within bustling Taipei super convenient near Taipei Main Station. Once you work out the exits, it’s a gateway to almost anywhere in Taiwan. The lobby and reception are offer a mysterious entry to this fun property. The rooms are quite large and well appointed. Spotless and serviced promptly. Beds very comfortable and good soundproofing. The bathrooms seem however to be trending towards that lack of privacy aspect that seems to be prevalent nowadays. Luckily there is a curtain that shields the area….but god I miss a door!!!!!! We did have breakfast at the buffet one morning (we do usually go local) and the spread is comprehensive. Significantly more Asian focused but offers a very wide variety of dishes. A quiet glass of wine in the lounge one night offered excellent service. My son used the fitness centre each day and cardio is well catered for (along with a couple of weird machines!) however the weight and resistance equipment was more limited. This hotel offers personality, a brilliant location and very well appointed amenities. Highly recommended!

- Jodie (10/5): Overall, we are very happy with the stay and would recommend it to others - The service was exceptional. The ancient China theme was a special touch. The hotel provided everything that we needed. It was very dark in the hallways and in the rooms and the light was not sufficient, so it was sometimes difficult to see. The gym only opens at 6:30 AM so if you were an early riser who likes to work out in the morning, you will have to wait.

Location right nxt to mall and station very convenient. Quiet. Toilet cubicle seemed clean but smelled a bit maybe from drainage hole next to toilet. Need more places in bathroom area behind privacy curtain to hang or place things like toiletries or change of clothes.

The staff were friendly and, on the whole, helpful. The hotel dining room is rather gloomy. There could have been more choice for vegetarians at breakfast, e.g., hot noodles with stir-fried vegetables would have been nice. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by only a curtain; a proper bathroom with wall and door would have been much better. Unfortunately, a staff member made an error with the cost of extending the stay, which led to a slightly unpleasant interaction at check out.

- LovetoTravel84010 (10/5): Great hotel and concierge service - This was a great hotel! Our room felt very luxurious. I wanted to give a shout-out to John Lee who really came through with my multiple requests for help! He helped me find a pedicure nearby and other misc needs. But the best thing he did was help me figure out where to drop off our rental car since Hertz insisted I take care of that upon arrival. He made several phone calls and arranged a ride from Hertz to the hotel, all in Chinese, of course. :) He was very attentive and kind.
- Deborah (7/5): - The hotel is in a great location - very close to the express train station to/from the airport, as well as Taipei’s main train and bus stations. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge. It had windows for the shower/bath and toilet cubicles - something I found great but my husband didn’t like it! I booked this hotel because it had a rooftop bar/garden. But when we got there, the rooftop was closed. We thought we would eat in the restaurants too but were told on one occasion that they closed at 9.30pm but then on the next day we were told it was 8.30pm. The staff were somewhat helpful in finding us somewhere to eat after 9.30pm. We tried to spend money on this hotel but couldn’t! Hence my lower score.

- Alicenwonderland (10/5): Best place to stay that is closest to Taipei Main Station - This boutique hotel offers exceptional service with clean and quiet rooms, comfortable beds and bedding and the location really cant be beat. The Palais is located on the first floor of the Q Square as part of Taipei Main Transportation Station. So from here you can conveniently walk to various places that easily connect you to the MRT, HSR, or bus routes. You will have easy walking access to all the shops and restaurants and eateries in the huge station. Staying here allowed us to recover from jetlag and while being able to explore things on our own without the need for going 'out' 'out' into the hot and humid weather, we could stay within the building and maneuver thru the corridors underground that connect everything together. The breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices and was a relaxing place to reset. caffeine and begin the day. Will definitely stay here again. The bathroom in the room, doesn't have a door that goes from floor to ceiling, so theres a gap top and bottom. Giving school bathroom stall vibes. So if you have shy bowel syndrome, and are staying with a companion, this might be a tiny ick. There are very nice restrooms in the lobby area by the restaurants, and on the gym level as well that are fully enlcosed.
- Michelo941303 (10/5): magic mirror on the wall ... - Right next to the main station, easy to find if you look properly, once inside you'll enter a different atmosphere, almost like a sophisticated underground cave, but still next to a commercial mall for lights addicted. Nice touch to have a lounge bar with complementary snacks and if you stay in a bigger room, a surprisingly tasty dinner is included as well. A bit of a letdown is the breakfast, nothing really stands out for a 5 stars buffet, but definitely acceptable. if you're interested in freemasonry symbolism, its definitely your Mecca.

- Salina (6/5): - They offer complimentary guests pick up/deliver service to Taipei MTR 01 station. Flexible breakfast hour up to 12:00 noon. The whole hotel is so dark and their bath tub is at entrance of room, very strange design and inconvenient for guests especially seniors that need to climb in and climb out after bathing. We finally need upgrade to a room with a standing shower and paid more. The hotel has no essentials to provide, guests need to bring everything, they only provide towels.

- Fenny (9/5): Very central to Taipei Main Station, clean comfortable and a superb XL King bed. - The room was lovely and we particularly liked the XL King bed and being able to step out on the little balcony. When allocating us the room they took into account my special request of not being next to an elavator which was much appreciated. The room had enough space to comforatbly place our open luggage and belongings. There was a safe which is always handy. There were coffee and tea making facilities, but the little coffee bags provided were useless, a good thing we still had some coffee left over which we had bought at the supermarket. The hotel is in a great central location right next to Taipei Main Station. We did have a comfortable stay. Considering this is a five star hotel we had hoped there would be a simple bar where a nice glass of white wine and a beer could be enjoyed. Unfortunately not.

- Yeuk Lin (9/5): - Very comfortable room with premium amenities and very fragrant hotel-exclusive tea. Room is too dark. Wished it was brighter. Despite its proximity to Taipei Main Station, the property is separated by a pedestrian bridge. Travelers with luggage may find the bridge challenging and would need to opt for a longer detour instead.
