- Runnergirl74 (10/5): Beautiful property, five star service - We have just returned from a Mother’s Day weekend at the Langham NYC and we had a wonderful stay. We had two rooms with a private hallway and club level access and the club level selections exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable and the hotel was clean and beautiful. The rooms were large by NYC standards and had lots of closet space as well. Bathrooms were also large and impressive. The employees in the lobby from the concierge to the bellhops and doormen work tirelessly to ensure you have a five star stay and the hotels location is central to everything. We loved it here and will most definitely return on our next trip into the city.

- N1637MSstevenk (4/5): I wanted to like it, but it was disppointing. - I'm not sure what hotel some of the other reviewer were at that gave it four and five stars, but that was not my experience. We typically stay on Central Park. Decided to try something different and based on the reviews that I saw, thought the Langham was a great choice. When we arrived I was told that I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Great! When I got to my suite it was a different story. It is very segregated with a living room in a complete separate space, kitchenette which is really useless, and a then the bed and bath on the other end. There were not glasses at the sink, there is a massive tub, but no tub amenities including soap or salts. The shower gel in the bathroom is so perfume laden I couldn't use it. We went to the club lounge which was great, but because there were people taking photos were not able to enjoy it fully because of the cameras and the crew. Others were also complaining about the cameras. We decided to leave and go somewhere else for dinner. When I returned to my room I went by the front desk to ask for any kind of bath salts or soap and I was told to use the shower gel from the shower for bubble bath. When I went to my room I turned on the lights, but the main hall light wouldn't turn on and bulb was burned out on the lamp. Paying $1300 a night I expected more. I could have stayed at the Pierre or even the Ritz, but chose the Langham. I will be my last stay.

From the moment we checked in, the front desk recognized us as returning guests and thoughtfully acknowledged both a birthday and anniversary, which made us feel incredibly valued. Their kindness extended even further with a surprise of chocolate-covered strawberries and a birthday cake. Such a memorable touch. The bell staff were equally impressive, consistently attentive, professional, and eager to help with anything we needed. The club lounge team is exceptional. One of the things we appreciate most is the low turnover; it’s a genuine pleasure to see the same familiar faces each time we visit. TK stands out in particular—she, along with the rest of the team, goes above and beyond to make every guest feel truly special.

Except for a few staff opening the door, I had a terrible stay. I usually stay here on all my NYC trips (stayed here 5 times in the last 6 months). This was my worst stay and will need to rethink about my future stays
- sunnysandiegan2011 (6/5): Great location and spacious family suite with bare bones kitchenette - First the pros- the location is great and walking distance to subway, the NY Public library, Bryant Park and Empire State bldg. The family suite with 1.5 bathrooms has very nicely updated bathrooms/ toilets and a nice kitchenette set up which makes the room very comfortable. The cons- the beds j. The suite are doubles instead of queens. The kitchenette had no plates, cutlery etc but was brought after we specifically asked for them after check in for it to be stocked. The complimentary drinking water in glass bottles was a nice touch. The room service is overpriced and provided some of the worst hot chocolate we have ever tasted. The fitness room is decent but inferior compared to the amenities to the Boston Langham location where we had just stayed befor NYC. The front desk and concierge staff also seemed somewhat stressed and not too approachable. The bellmen and housekeeping were great though the housekeeping only finished the rooms after 3 pm usually but the evening turndown service was a nice extra. We did not try the in house restaurant due to lack of enough veg options and sky high prices for basics.

- Q6321PImichaelg (2/5): Terrible service - We came to New York for our annual Easter celebration and decided to try The Langham instead our usual hotel, The Mark. We left the hotel on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for breakfast and sightseeing. I stopped at the front desk and said we would return around 2:45 and asked if housekeeping would clean our room while we were out. The front desk attendant confirmed my request. Apparently, she forgot to tell housekeeping. We returned at 2:30 and no one had been in the room. This problem does not normally occur at the nicer, expensive hotels in New York. There are many luxury hotels in New York. The Langham is not one of them.

Even though we had the Amex upgrade and benefits there was an up charge for the club room access. That feels like it should be included for what you are paying. The food and drinks were very overpriced. Our server at the lounge of Bar Fiori was rude. The front desk staff and bellmen were very friendly.
- yihsinamberlin (10/5): Exceptional Birthday Stay and Family Trip! - Exceptional birthday stay! We had a wonderful stay celebrating my daughter’s birthday on March 7th. The entire staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and our room was both spacious and spotless. They went above and beyond by decorating the room with balloons and arranging special amenities for my daughter’s birthday, making it a truly special day for her. Special thanks to Club Manager Cathy for extending our stay with a late check-out, and to the entire club and in room dining team for making our time there so memorable. Also thanks to the house keeping team for the wonderful turndown service. We can't wait to return to the Langham New York the next time we're in NYC.

- libbiea2015 (6/5): Uncomfortable Bed - My first visit to the Langham Fifth Ave for my quarterly business trip. I had stayed at the Langham in Boston and was looking forward to a luxurious overnight stay. I was greeted warmly and was checked in efficiently. I was even upgraded to a junior suite. I was overjoyed with the suite. It was huge with two sofas, a work station, the biggest TV I’ve ever seen and a bathtub you could swim in. I was tired so I ordered a delicious chicken dinner from room service and took a nice hot bad in that awesome soaking tub. However positive first impressions gave way to disappointment at bedtime. The expensive mattress and topper felt like I was sleeping on a camping cart or a pull out sofa. It was as hard as a rock, not comfortable at all and I had the worst night sleep I’ve had since I stayed at a hostel in 1988. This is a luxury hotel! Why can’t it have comfortable, soft beds you sink into? Or at least beds that don’t feel like you’re sleeping on the floor. When I checked out with my aching neck and sore back, the attendant was very sympathetic and offered to make a note in my profile to do something to make my next stay more comfortable. I’ll have to think about whether there will be a next stay. You can have the most specious room with a beautiful bathroom, but if the bed is not comfortable it’s not going to pass my inspection.

- MUFarm (8/5): Great Staff and Comfort, but Not Quite a Flawless Five-Star Experience - We had a mostly very positive stay at the Langham on Fifth Avenue, and the staff truly deserves credit for much of that. The positives were strong. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious by NYC standards and well-appointed, with some genuinely nice touches: heater in the bathroom, a TV integrated into the bathroom mirror, and nightly turndown service with slippers and water. The hotel thoughtfully acknowledged my wife’s birthday with champagne and dessert, which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The location is excellent, and room service breakfast was outstanding—better than the restaurant, honestly—with generous portions and great execution (the omelet in particular). That said, a few things fell short of what I’d expect from a five-star hotel at this price point. We arrived around 11:30am and dropped our bags, hoping for an early check-in if possible. We were told we’d be texted when the room was ready, but we never received a message. Through the Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts program, we were upgraded to a slightly larger room, which we appreciated—but during check-in, we were also strongly upsold to a higher-tier room with an Empire State view and club access for $400+ more per night, and told those rooms were available for noon check-in. That interaction felt a bit off. At other FHR properties, upgrades have felt like a perk; here it felt more like a sales pitch, and it set the tone early. A few room details also surprised us: the shower controls are positioned opposite the door, making it nearly impossible not to get hit with cold water when turning it on; the windows were noticeably dirty; and while the bed wasn’t uncomfortable, it sat unusually low and appeared to be a mattress topper on a box spring—functional, but odd for a luxury hotel. Breakfast service in the restaurant was just so-so compared to room service, and elevators were slow during peak times. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, and we enjoyed our stay. Still, part of the promise of a five-star hotel is that there aren’t many negatives to note. We’ll be returning to NYC this summer with our family, and this trip was something of a test run. We’re honestly undecided about whether we’ll return or explore other hotels in the same range—there are many excellent options in the city. With a few refinements and a slightly less aggressive upsell approach, this could easily be a standout experience.

Just everyone. Whatever asked for was also provided. They really do go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and to make you feel very special. - OnTheRoad27 (10/5): Welcoming and Wonderful! - We visit New York City frequently and have stayed at many hotels but the Langham Fifth Avenue has stolen the crown for our best experience ever. We've stayed in many high-ranking hotels here in the USA and abroad, and the Langham Fifth Avenue is now wearing the crown. Because we stayed at the Langham for Valentine's weekend, I thought it would nice to make our first stay memorable, so booked us in an Executive room with access to the Langham Club. BEST choice I could have made! The room itself was spacious, as was the bathroom. Plenty of storage space, big, comfortable bed, a bathroom with a huge soaking tub and separate shower, great internet service, and very clean and well-maintained. The Langham Club option was well worth the price. Open morning 'til night, it provided plentiful hot and cold food and drink options (including champagne, wines, beer, and mixed drinks) of amazing variety. They also had a jazz ensemble playing them on Valentine's Day! One of my prime concerns when traveling is my husband's severe food allergy. Not only were the buffet options clearly labeled with allergens, we were told that if need be, he could have something made for him. (It didn't come to that, but we both appreciated it.) In my opinion, while all of the above facets of a stay at the Langham Fifth Avenue are wonderful, what really makes this hotel a big cut above the rest is the team of employees. From arrival to departure, from the Langham Club staff to Housekeeping, everyone with whom we interacted was the epitome of excellent hospitality. They were efficient, warm, professional, and welcoming. Bravo to all!

It’s quiet , convenient to Broadway and Bryant Park with good restaurants in the area . Rooms are large by New York standards and the service throughout the hotel by all the staff is excellent.

Everything was seamless in regard to check-in and overall service. The food we had both in room dining and at the restaurant was excellent. The room had all the amenities you could ask for. Truly luxury! The fitness club was very clean and many options for both cardio and strength training.

Will definitely stay at the hotel again and would highly recommend . nothing I can think of .
- MelanieS268 (10/5): Large luxurious rooms - I stayed 6 nights in two different rooms. I actually preferred the room without a view as it was far quieter than the 5th Ave view. The rooms are large, well-appointed, modern and comfortable. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast but the staff seemed overwhelmed, though pleasant.

The bathroom was very clean and well appointed, however, this ridiculous trend toward “rain showers” is AWFUL! As a woman, I can’t grab a quick shower without getting totally drenched. There was a hand shower (of sorts) on the wall, but not a proper one, once turned on it would keep rotating towards the wall! Why can’t 5 star hotels put a proper wall mounted shower head? We are paying enough! The shower!

- GANAU (8/5): Bellissimo ma migliorabile - Posizione eccezionale sulla fifth avenue in 10 minuti a piedi si può raggiungere Rockefeller center, Bryant park, e time square. Camere spaziose e pulite. La hall della reception risulta essere piccola e a ridosso della porta d’ingresso quindi in inverno non si può sostare perché ci si ghiaccia dal freddo. Il Bar Lounge al primo piano chiude troppo presto.

- estellejulie (10/5): excellent in every way - We love to stay at Langham Hotels and been At this hotel before and chose again to stay and we were so happy we did. WE loved our one bedroom suite with club lounge and empire state view and it was really worth the extra costs. Falling asleep and waking up to the view of an illuminated empire state was truly spectacular. The club lounge was very well furnished, very comfortable and food was exceptional. staff lovely and attentive. Lots of christmas decorations. Even our suite had a christmas tree lit up when we arrived and lots of little extras which makes life so much easier after a long flight. Suite was equipped with a full kitchen very well stocked, a washer and dryer and even extra chargers. Also it is one of the few hotels where you can still open windows, which I personally love. Completely soundproof. Excellent sleep. Staff was exceptional, from the initial emails and then discussing adding extras nothing was too much and they replied quickly and professionally. We hated to leave and will be back hopefully soon ! Thank you so much !

- Roam606355 (10/5): The best getaway! - Well this hotel was quite the pleasant surprise! We were able to check in early at noon which was fabulous. We’ve said at other upscale NYC hotels but this check-in was smooth and friendly. The smiles and service was extordinary. Since it was my daughter’s birthday they sent a small cheesecake up to the room which delighted her. We stayed in a junior family suite which was spacious. There was complementary warm apple cider in the lobby. The turndown service was exquisite. They made the couch for my daughter so when we got back in the room at 11 pm, we could just fall asleep. Slippers were out and water was by the bedside. The next morning at breakfast at Ai Fiori they had a Nutella croissant and a candle which was so sweet. The breakfast server was friendly and food came out quickly. Checkout was a breeze. This is the service that should come with a luxury NYC hotel! Amazing!

- TheTaylorsTravels2 (10/5): A wonderful stay at the Langham in NYC - My family and I stayed at The Langham while visiting NYC last week, and it couldn’t have been a better stay. The wonderful concierge set up our airport transfers flawlessly, the room stylist had the most special little gifts set up for my daughter, and everyone at the front desk, club lounge, the house car driver, as well as the doormen were incredibly warm and kind while we were there. The hotel itself is very nice, but it’s truly the staff that makes this hotel above and beyond. I would also like to thank Jack (one of the doormen). My daughter loved seeing him every time we would leave or come back from our appointments. We will highly recommend this hotel location to any of our friends or family visiting NYC, and we can’t wait to come back!
