The shower had no water pressure neither did the toilet the balcony door was locked could not get any fresh air in the room besides from the location it was diagusting
• Evandro (3/5): Disappointing... - Not much. Beds were comfy at least WiFi did not work. I asked 4 times to get it fixed during our stay, but they didn't. The whole hotel looks like a mess, with bedsheets and furniture all around. I believe they are renovating? Or maybe just messy. Room was not very clean as well

All the amenities in the room were great too like the iron, kitchenette with sink and microwave and little hair dryer - very convenient. The rooms are very noisy. We were staying on level 3 facing the side street and could still hear all the cars and other guests in their rooms.

Ladders in hallways, big towels bins right outside the lift, holes in the walls near my room, carpet horrible. It really is a very poor hotel for what I paid - I was VERY surprised how bad it was. I assumed it would be nice being in double bay and that price. I've stayed in better motels in country towns.

• Harvey (10/5): A brilliant hotel with incredible value. Much prefer this than the Intercontinental at Double Bay - Easy to get to the hotel from the city and so close to all the shops in Double Bay. The hotel is always clean and organized with functional rooms that are super comfortable.

• Lynda (6/5): Value for money for location. - Location was spot on for our mini break in Sydney. The cafe, shops, restaurants were just fabulous. We had booked a Superior Double Room with Courtyard View expecting to have a small balcony with a courtyard view. We didn't have a small balcony or a courtyard view. Very disappointing. The "courtyard" was an exposed balcony between rooms! Our view was over the main street. In addition the facilities showed to have a seating area, the way it has been written I was expecting this to be inside the room, alas it was not.

• lyndam825 (4/5): MONUMENTAL DISAPPOINTMENT - We booked this hotel for a bucket list event Sydney harbour fireworks....so we paid top dollar, Fine no problem there, I had great expectations given that this was Double Bay. Wow!!! such a monumental dissapointment. The room was so bad...I emailed management and listed,everything that needed attention (mould,frayed blind,rust,foul smell from air con,coating on a window half peeling off and so much more) I emailed them first rather than post negatively on line and requested a respose ....nothing.Not a thing.So here we are. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! ...it was disgusting for the price. Maybe it was just the room we were in but seriously the authorities should look at this place. Very,very,unhappy clients!!!!!!!

• Joe (1/5): unacceptable - nothing at all, it is unsafe for humans. Our room was filthy, bathroom had mould =on shower screen and tiles. The air conditioning vent smell was of mould, the lifts did not work on our level. I would like to make an official complaint as the room is not fit for human use.

• Emma (4/5): Pretty bad honestly - Location is great The opulence of the surrounding street makes this hotel look and feel even more drab. The whole place is old, dark, musty and covered in stains. I feel for anyone with accessibility needs because not only is the lift minuscule, but the floors themselves are a labyrinth of steps, sloped hallways, and uneven floors. The walls are thin enough to hear every person coming and going. The bathroom has mould and water damage. The bath/shower was so slippery I, a generally agile and able bodied person, genuinely feared for my safety. And on top of all that, after a long day out in the city, upon returning to the room, I find they’ve “tidied” the room and failed to replace any of the towels. Which forced me to go opening random doors in the hallways until I eventually found an (unlocked) linen closet. I couldn’t wait to leave this hotel.

• Mitch (3/5): Mosquitos in my room ruined my night. - The location was good and room was fairly clean. The room was land locked opening onto an internal lounge area... despite this there were mosquitos in the room which made for a terrible night with very little sleep.

• Aroha (1/5): The night attendee was excellent, however management have been difficult to deal with around getting any type of compens - The location was great We had bed bugs in our original room, and then were moved. Bed bugs were discovered in the new room we were placed. We were moved, again, only to have bed bugs there aswell. We have a 2 year old. And moving throughout the hotel in the middle of the night. We were very upset. There was no other option offered.
