Guest Reviews
- Luciano (4/5): - It’s in a60 degrees hill !! Carrying luggages around the area was a nightmare in the stairs
- Ryan (10/5): - Host was amazing; property is inside the city walls in great old town location.
- Sanjay (8/5): Nice location - Great location to many attractions, transport connections and eating places. Excellent communication by Darko. Also had a few kitchen items in the common area. Bathroom could do with a small redesign to have a feel of bit more space.
- Stuart (10/5): - Absolutely loved the apartment, so close to everything and a great host
- Aurelia (10/5): - I had a great stay at Rooms Vicelic! My room was big and clean. The accommodation also has a kitchenette if you need. Location is also perfect, very central so you can easily go everywhere, lots of restaurants around, a supermarket, etc. Darko is a brilliant host! Super friendly and flexible and really cares about his guests.
- Nicole (10/5): - We loved our stay at the property in Dubrovnik. Everything was clean and very comfortable for our stay. Even the beach was close by and walkable.
- Matthew (10/5): - Staff was very helpful. roof top restaurant was relaxing and great place to watch sunset.Only downside we needed to drive to most attractions.
- Michael (8/5): - Darko was very responsive for checkin details, available to store luggage both on checkin/checkout if necessary. Room was very clean. Be prepared for lots of stairs. Common fridge, sink, kettle available for guests. Location was close to restaurants, sites & transportation.
- Avery (2/5): - Host was super aggressive and threatened to do “terrible things” to my wife and I over a very minor issue with parking that was quickly rectified. Having your safety threatened over something so minor was shocking and a very disappointing way to end our time in Dubrovnik. Any safety issue warrants a serious negative review, especially when perpetrated by the host.
The property was otherwise as expected, up a ton of stairs in the old city, and reasonably clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely staff and wonderful stay
- Mary (10/5): - Historic setting was sweet, dining all around, clean secure room and air conditioning was very much appreciated.
- Stephanie (10/5): - 10/10 excellent all around stay in center of old town! The host communicated effectively and was very helpful throughout the booking process the cleaning staff was friendly and even had my room rewards before I expected. Highly recommend!!
- Viola (10/5): - Darko was great with communication about our questions, directions, and instructions for our arrival. Being in the Center of the old town provided us with many options for dining, shopping and simply being part of the old town vibe. The room was well appointed, and clean. Dario’s mother welcomed us at the parking lot located at her home. Parking in such a secure location was very helpful. If you’re able to negotiate stairs and like a small, quaint room then this is the place for you. Highly recommend Darko’s property.
- Linette (10/5): - The proprietor is very helpful and nice.
- Bianca (10/5): - Darko the property owner was very helpful. He told me about the local area , buses to catch etc.
My suitcase was delayed and he organised to have it delivered to my room. It’s nice to find kind people who make a special effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The room was very clean, private and had everything you need for a few nights stay. Corner shop with basic groceries 2 minutes down the stairs . I was even offered a late check out without asking. Thank you so much .
- Elenita (10/5): - Property was clean and homely.
Darko was very responsive to our needs. Property is also close to attractions and dining options. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy Dubrovnik!
- Muhammad (8/5): - Excellent location, room was small but clean. Bedding/pillows can be better though. I requested for an early check in, around 12:00pm given I had an all night flight but couldn’t get the room. That was disappointing for sure
- FATEN (10/5): - Great place, location and host. Very helpful & communicative. The rooms are very cute & neat.
- Michelle (10/5): - Old Town is quite small and walkable in general, so any place in Old Town is a great location. This place was just a stairwell up from a main restaurant street - so in terms of food, it was fantastic. It's about 1.5 streets up from the main street - so it feels like a bit of a climb on a hot day.
Darko was a very friendly and helpful host - very responsive on messaging. The room was very nice and had a very good shower. The boiler didn't seem to keep very much hot water, so it did cool down after 2 quick showers - but the weather was extremely hot while we were there, so not too much of a problem.
The room doesn't get any sun, so the room is quite cool even without the A/C on. There is a small clothes line outside the window with a few pegs - just watch out for anyone who might be sitting on the stairs under the window.
There is also a small communal kitchenette outside the room.
- Mark (10/5): Lovely room in old town - Really nice room, well styled, comfy bed.
Located in old town so close to everything. Beware if you have heavy bags though, climbing stairs to get there is unavoidable (same for most places in old town).
Owner was very helpful
- Mario (10/5): - Excellant Location. Very clean. Wonderful and kind host. Very accommodating and welcoming.
- Pamela Darlene (10/5): - It felt like home made you feel special and cared about could always contact no matter what
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best host in the best location in old town - Exceptional! Darko, the apartment host, also the owner, is so so so nice. He inquired my arrival time, accommodated me at my Uber drop off, helped me with my luggage, showed me the apartment, told me how to get around, recommended a couple of restaurants… from the beginning to the end, he is always standby and answered all the silly questions I had, with 100% patience…the apartment is very close to Pile gate, few mins walk, and inside the old town.
Ps. The room can be slightly dark during the day. So if you have a tour at 6am, I recommend you open the blinds to let some lights in, so you don’t miss your wake up time.
Overall, I highly , highly recommended ! Thank you, Darko ! You are the best !!!
- James (10/5): Wonderful place with extremely helpful proprietor. - Property was clean and well maintained. Darko was especially helpful. Very comfortable and quiet.
Only downside is property is up about 35 sometimes steep and uneven block stone steps & no handrails.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Amazing location the in old town (lots of steps to climb but part of the fun!)
Really excellent host who gave us some good pointers of places to go when we arrived and was very communicative when we needed it.
Comfy bedroom with all the mod cons
- Bogdan (10/5): Great location - Great location. The apartment was awesome and the host was very friendly. Though if you are tall let the host know so that he can save one of the rooms with a high ceiling for you.
- Karen (10/5): Perfect location, beautiful street, wonderful host - Host Darko was so helpful. The apartment is on a street with a lot of steps. He helped me carry my luggage up all the steps, and even showed up at checkout to help me carry it back down. I had the single apartment, which is perfect for a solo traveler. GORGEOUS street in the heart of Old Town.
- hilary (10/5): Amazing location - What a brilliant location! Right in the middle of the Old Town city walls.
A lovely old, well converted city home with ensuite bathroom.
All of the accommodation within the city walls are up step steps so be ready to climb!
Parking was available nearby which was needed as parking in the city would have been expensive.
A great overnight stay.
- Catalina (10/5): Cozy stay at Dubrovnik - This place is perfect if you’re planning to stay for a few days in Dubrovnik. Darko was really helpful since the beginning, he received us with a bottle of water at the entrance and show us in the map the main attractions to visit. The place is really comfortable, smells really good, was perfectly clean and it has a small kitchen to keep your things in the fridge. Air conditioner is a life saver from the Croatian temperature in summer :P
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice host. Willing to assist with the large suitcase.
- Deña (10/5): - The accommodation was fantastic. Darko and his mom were very good hosts. He picked us up from the Pile gate and walked us to the property. We appreciated the laundry his mom did. Location is perfect. I would definitely recommend this to those who don’t mind walking up steps.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really cool location in Old Town and helpful staff!
- Todd (10/5): - Darko did a fine job getting us situated in a private park8ng area that was much less expensive than every other place around, and was helpful to pick us up and take us to the car when we checked out. Location was great. Mant stairs, but that is how Dubrovnik is. We loved it and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind stairs.
- Katie (10/5): - My husband and I spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it!
Darko and his mother are kind and wonderful hosts and made our stay all the more enjoyable. The room had all we needed for our stay and was very clean and comfortable and tea, coffee and fridge accessible in the common area.It is in such a great location in old town. Would 100% recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice staff, good location, clean room, good price,
Close air port shuttle station. Old town
- Syazana (10/5): Lovely warm place in old town near airport shuttle - This place is amazing! Very cute located in the old city and near to the shuttle bus to the airport. Darko and his mom were such great hosts! We had to drop off our rental car in the city and were asking them where we should uber to, but Darko immediately offered to pick us up and drop us for free!! How kind! His mom was waiting for us by the main street to make sure we wouldnt get lost(no way to get lost/ this part of the old town was very structured into blocks). Then his mom welcomed us with drinks and candy! Hehe so great! She was super attentive and even gave us extra blankets because of the weather. So happy we found this place. Another note: we stayed here for 2 nights and they actually came in on the second day to clean up the room! Was not expecting that but such a pleasant surprise to come back to a made bed!
- paul (8/5): Helpful and welcoming great location - They family and owners where wonderful and helpful and the place was amazing location , the actually size and was a little small and dark but great location in the old city is the reason for this . There are a few steps to reach the place but was really pleased to be there !
- Rachel (10/5): Comfortable guest house in great location - Darko and his mother were both extremely helpful and friendly. Darko even picked us up from the bus terminal. The room was smallish but very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, right in the old city. Definitely recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome location. Wonderful hosts. They helped with luggage and driving to rental car. Very clean and well maintained.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super helpful owner - Apt is small but clean, has a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, etc. in a shared kitchen. Owner is extremely helpful & considerate, house is located 60 steps up a hill on the north of Stradun St. in the old town, he helped carry some of my luggages up. He even gave us the house key on check out day such that we can go back for a break or using rest room. Will stay with again, highly recommended.
- lucy (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely comfy bed in upstairs room. Spacious and clean.
- Soon Ann (10/5): Dubrovnik 2019 - Thank you Darko and his Lovely mom Angke. We enjoy our stay in your place. Cheers
- Cherri (10/5): Fantastic!!! - Super nice room with fantastic air conditioning. I read comments about the stairs. There aren't many stairs. I didn't mind them in the least. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I loved this room.
- Danielle (10/5): Great stay in Dubrovnik! - Perfect location in the old city, the room was simple but had everything we needed. Plus they provided beach towels for swimming.
- Verified traveler (10/5): xceed our expectations in Dubrovnik - Darko was a great host. He arranged a car from the airport and was quick to respond before and during our visit.
We were struck by how roomy and clean our room was as well as quiet. Inside the walls of the city no cars are allowed so it’s very peaceful.
We loved our visit and highly recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location. Darko and his mum are super attentive and easy to communicate with. Darko helped organise an airport transfer and was waiting at the city gates to collect us and lead us to the property. We loved our stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a lovely stay. We were greeted warmly on arrival and they had been very patient waiting for us due to delays in transport. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here. It is in a perfect location however useful to note that it is up a set of steep steps so may not be suitable for everyone
- Nigel (10/5): - Friendly welcome by the owner with a much needed drink of fresh orange. We were provided with useful information and then shown our lovely room. The air conditioning was great, as was the shower. The bed was really comfortable and there was a line outside our window to dry our swimming gear. The provision of beach towels was appreciated. Outside the room was a shared kitchen space with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Yes there are some steep steps to reach the rooms, but you will be climbing steps to tour Dubrovnic anyway.
- Susan (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable, location on stepped street in old city was great, service was excellent. Hospitality of owners truly enhanced our stay in Dubrovnik. We felt a little less like tourists and a little more like visitors.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely spot in the heart of the old town - We stayed there for 5 nights, the room was lovely and spacious and has an en suite. The location is right in the heart of the old, so close to everything, the hosts are amazing, so accommodating, friendly and helpful
This is the perfect place to stay in the heart of the old town
- Nickolaas (10/5): Great place! - Great little place in the old town. Close to the main street, restaurants, and a very short walk to the Pile gate & Cable Car/Airport shuttle location. Hosts were really nice. It is up a few flights of stairs, so if you're hauling a lot of luggage, be prepared.
- oscar (10/5): "Way to do it in Dubrovnik " - Wonderful historic building inside walled city, near main gate. Apartment is spotless with access to frige n microwave. Anka, owner, is quite helpful n sweet, recommended fantastic place for dinner n guided us with activities. Must claim several steps to get there but can't avoid if staying at old town. Great value, fantastic location...felt like we were staying at our aunt 's house... would comeback n recommend.
- Owen (10/5): A quiet place up in the old town - The hostess was great, giving us tips for where to go for food and swimming, and making our stay as comfortable as possible. If you can manage some steep steps up to the high side of the old town, this is well worth the effort.
- Marc (10/5): - Nice room in the old town of Dubrovnik. Perfect location. Hosts are very friendly and helpfull. I will not hesitate to return there.
- Marie (8/5): - Everything was perfect except the room a little bit small.
- jeremy (10/5): Amazing accom and host! - We spent 3 nights here- perfect location in Old Town. Our host was very accomodating and friendly. The apartment was very clean and amenties were very good. Highly recommend!
- Monique (8/5): Fabulous location with extremely friendly owner - Very small but perfectly appointed room right in the heart of the walled city of Dubrovnik. The owner was very helpful - gave us information about restaurants, discount cards, and best sights to see. The location was extraordinary - a fabulous vegan restaurant (Nistha - the only vegetarian restaurant in Dubrovnik) was only yards in one direction, while the restaurant with the best views in the entire town (Lady Pi-Pi) were a few steps up in the other direction. Also not to miss the War Photo exhibition - again just a few steps down, next to the useful supermarket.
- Gary (10/5): Wonderful and unique place - Extremely helpful owner and son! The place gives a wonderful feel of Dubrovnik - although it’s not for those who aren’t in shape. Lots of steps - gets easier each day.
- Chelsea (10/5): Centre of Old Town! - Charming little room in the centre of old town! Could not be in a better location. Excellent service.
- Steve (10/5): - Excellent location for exploring the city, nice cosy and clean room. The management are excellent and really friendly too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A steep staircase to climb to the home but very comfortable and a warm welcome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Vicelic guest house - Charming little guest house built into the city walls. Owners couldnt hsve been kinder or more friendly. Slight warning though..... you have to climb quite a few very steep steps to get there so not the best for eldrrly or unfit! It is a common problem in dubrovnik.
- William (10/5): Quiet, convenient location within the Old City. - Very nice stay, comfortable, clean, friendly, and convenient. It is up some stairs on a side street off the main street, but the walled city, and most of Dubrovnik is on hills, so that's part of the area. Room and lobby are tastefully decorated, good wifi, shared kitchenette with fridge, kettle, sink, microwave, panini toaster, plates, cups, glasses, and flatware. Owners are very friendly and helpful.
- Jordan (10/5): Lovely, cheap, characterful! - The lady was really lovely and welcoming, and we were given a night free on account of having to move rooms, was a lovely stay in the heart of old town, 100% would stay again!
- Devesh (10/5): Charming guesthouse in Old Town Dubrovnik - It was a nice guest house... I had a room with private bath, and there was a common microwave/refrigerator. It was only steps away from Stradun, the main road in Old Town... but you do you have to climb them on the way to your room, which was fine with me but could be an issue if you have mobility issues.
- Jane (8/5): a really medieval experience - very comfortable room in a medieval town house. Shared sink and tea/coffee making facilites, which was nice as I like lots of drinks on holiday. Also enjoyed the free biscuits with our morning coffee.
2 possible down sides:
1 - the steps up to the accommodation are not only steep but large, not a problem for us but maybe for less fit people. We are both in our 50's and were ok. Saying that, I think the stepped streets were one of the best things about Dubrovnik, and the area was full of little intimate bars and cafes. Loved it!
2 - arriving by car and parking was a bit stressful because we didn't know what was going to happen. We rang the owner to say we were arriving but we then struggled to find somewhere to stop and wait for him to come and meet us as all the streets around the outside of the walls are so busy. anyway we parked illegally for about 15 minutes whilst he came to meet us on his motorbike. we then followed him for about 5 minutes to a small private car park and he then unparked his car and drove us to the city gate where we then walked into town and to the accommodation. It was fine, we just were unsure what was happening. The reverse happened when we checked out. I'm glad we reserved a parking space with them as parking is a nightmare around the old city.
Really enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik, especially magic at night once a lot of the tourists have gone home. Dubrovnik is very expensive so bring lots of money!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very poor room condition - different from website - This is the most unpleasant experience i have ever had with a hotel. The room given to us was much smaller than shown online. It barely fits in a double bed (the door was half blocked), but charging same price as the double room.
There are four rooms in this property and only the two good ones are shown on expedia. If you are unlucky, you will be allocated to a very small room, or a semi-underground room without natural light. (please see two other reviews on 4 Sep & 22 Sep 2016 on expedia website, which talked about same experience from other travelers.)
As I did not wish to accept either the small or the underground room, I requested to cancel the booking. The owner's got very angry. I was charged for 95 euro of cancellation fee, all in cash, without receipt, and shut out of the door.
- Pei Lin (8/5): Great location, but small room - The location was unbeatable, near the Pile Gate in the Old Town, and just up a few flights of steps. There was a supermarket nearby which makes it convenient for groceries.
The room was clean and has got everything we needed. However, we got the smallest room unfortunately and there was hardly space to walk around after putting our luggages.
- Chris and leanne (10/5): fantastic - really enjoyed it, room was spotless, great location
- Michael (6/5): Great host & location but room overpriced & small - The accommodation was in a great location and the welcome we got was amazing. In fact the host, we didn't get her name, could not do enough frmus. However the accomodation was little small and as it was in the basement, a little dingy. The kitchenette area is a shared space with 4 other rooms so the description on the website was misleading. So overall a great location, great host, but the room was small and overpriced for what it offered.
- Claudette (8/5): - Very kind and helpful owners. Loads of steps but very beautiful area. Very firm bed and needs to have a light weight top blanket for those used to sleeping with one.
- susan (10/5): - Only had time for an overnight, but great location, welcome and standard of hotel.
- robert (10/5): Great experience - Great place nice people and very friendly and helpful.
- Gerardo (10/5): Nice room, great location - I really enjoyed staying here. The room was bigger than what I expected, very clean and comfortable. Anka is a sweetheart, a darling, as she calls her guests. Very helpful and respectful of privacy. The location is great and easy to find. Highly recommended!!
- Wira (8/5): Nice! - Nice and friendly madam (owner), try to help and give information
- Michael (10/5): Cozy room in heart of Dubrovnik - In the heart of the old city. Lots of steps but that is part of the charm. Appreciated email ahead of arrival. Anka was waiting on the stoop. Simply super!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous location! - Very cozy place, fabulous street and location. Kitchenette really handy for quick snacks, hot beverage, breakfast. Great communication with hosts. Thanks for a memorable stay in Dubrovnik.
- Printer Pete (10/5): Ideal location in Dubrovnik - This guest house is situated at the lower end of the 'Old Town' and offers easy access to all the main attractions. Very good value for money and run by helpful owners. The rooms are all 'on suite' with a communal kitchenette located on the first floor. The fridge has dividers for storing your personal food but there is coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and juices for all to use. There is also a small 'supermarket' with excellent bread, rolls and croissants located on the next level of steps down the hill. Overall an excellent choice of accommodation.
- Kimberly (10/5): Adorable, easy and quiet - This is a great place to stay inside the wall of the Old City. The hostess is the friendliest and most kind woman you could meet and the hotel is adorable. There are only four rooms so it is pretty quiet and it is on a quiet, yet steep, street. There is a market on the same street and a refrigerator and microwave if you want to make any of your own food. The Old Town is small so you are close to everything. Be aware, cars aren't allowed in so you need to walk part of the route. Don't let that deter you. The room is clean and has everything you need. I would definitely stay here again. I loved this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unbeatable location, charming, affordable - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Rooms Vicelic. The location is incredible, no more than 50 meters off the main street in Old Town. Since I stayed in December, I not only got a great price, but the city was practically empty which made for a more pleasant stay. The building was in the old style of the city, but the room had modern updates, including reliable Wi-Fi and a huge comfy bed. I noticed many of the reviews complain about the stairs, but any reasonably healthy person should have no problem. Just to note, you cannot drive into Old Town, so anyone with luggage should be prepared to carry it. This is a great location for anyone on a budget who doesn't need a lot of amenities to enjoy their stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place. Nice staff, very clean. Very near to the center of town. Highly recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect Vacation in Dubrovnik at Rooms Vicelic - I had the absolute best experience staying at the beautiful, clean, spacious rooms with Anka and her family at Rooms Vicelic. They treated me as if I were a member of their family, which was much appreciated by a solo female traveler. Every morning at 8 or 9 a.m. I had delicious food at my door - breakfast and dinner - and there were always oranges, bananas, and cookies available for guests in the lobby. Anka and her family (especially her son Darko, who emailed me as soon as I requested a change in my dates, and who quickly resolved what I feared would be a stressful situation when I had to postpone my departure from the USA) provided every possible amenity, including laundry service, information about Dubrovnik and about day trips to nearby islands and cities, transportation, free and reliable WiFi, and more. They will meet your every need - just ask! Rooms Vicelic is located in the heart of the Old Town, which is ideal for sightseeing, dining, shopping - you name it. Don't buy a travel guide because Anka has plenty for you to borrow. The Old Town is alive at all hours during the spring and summer so do expect noise at times, but don't hesitate to ask about options just outside of the Old Town if you want peace and quiet. Anka's family treats all of the guests with extra special care that can't be matched at a large hotel, and that I have not seen matched in my 15 years of travel. They are truly exceptional people and will make sure that you have an exceptional vacation!
- Rahul (8/5): Wonderful location & service - The room is located right in the heart of old town so almost everything worth seeing was a short walk away. The service was excellent - very accommodating & helpful with tips on what to see, where to eat, etc.
- M (10/5): Comfortable, good location, friendly owner - Comfortable, good location, friendly owner. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect location to enjoy the walled city - You must have an ability to pack lightly and carry your luggage many flights of stairs to enjoy this comfort guest home. Loved the extra "treats" for guests.
- Isabel (4/5): Not our favorite stay - Our room wasn't great. It wasn't one of the nice rooms featured in the photos - it is some kind of semi-underground room that you crouch down to put the key into. The rooms window sits next to the front door, where the owner and guests smoke all day - which blows through into the room. It feels very damp with the window shut.
It's in a great location and the owner was lovely - maybe we were just unlikely with the room we ended up with.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great stay in Dubrovnik - Anka was an excellent hostess. Very accommodating and willing to help. It felt like home away from home.
We would return.
- Stella (8/5): Vey clean room & comfortable bed; great location! - We definitely enjoyed staying in this room. Anka, our host, was excellent!!! She was always available and provided us with all the information whenever we needed it. She even offered beach towels; and the room & house always smelled excellent! She was very kind, and had cookies and juice available at no cost in the kitchen.
The room is a little bit tight but I found it to be perfectly cozy. Location was also amazing I could get anywhere within five minutes. Highly recommend.
- sue (2/5): in city centre - Smallest room I've ever stayed in with shared kitchenette, a fridge & microwave on a stair landing.
- John (10/5): Within the Old Town, great location - The family that owns this property, Anka, Darko and Emily. Are the best. They work very hard and were extremely friendly and helpful...would stay again in a heartbeat...and hope someday to return.
Only drawback, and has nothing to do with the property, is the stairs...got a great workout climbing them....who needs a tread master...
- Mark (8/5): - Great location right in the heart of old town Dubrovnik. There's no where else you need to be. Small, cosy, no-frills room, but very comfortable. Super nice lady greeted me and offered to help in anyway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): very nice clean rooms - A very well situated hotel in the heart of the Old Town. Steps up are a challenge but that's Dubrovnik. Very nice and helpful landlady. Rooms were cleaned everyday as were sheets and towels. Overall a very good place to stay
- Susan (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Fabulous place to stay. Very welcoming and central. The steps get you fit!
Restaurants everywhere and a little supermarket just a stroll away.
Highly recommend.
- Barbara (10/5): A Wonderful Place in Old Town, Dubrovnik - This is just about the perfect place in the old walled city of Dubrovnik. My spacious room was well furnished with an en-suite bathroom and a really comfy bed. The location was ideal - in the old town area but far enough off the main street not to suffer from noise. But the best part of all was the owner, Anka, a wonderful woman who went out of her way to make sure I enjoyed my stay, right down to booking onward bus tickets, arranging for a taxi to the bus station, and gifting me with jelly candies I'd said I liked. I'll be staying here again the next time I go to Dubrovnik.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff on a nice hotel located right in the middle of Old Town!
- edwin (8/5): Great homey place - Family owned, very friendly owner and location is inside the old city where all the actions are. Few steps up but I like it for exercise
- PHILIP (10/5): Delightful rooms - Very nice owner; anxious to please; very well situated room, nicely furnished
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location in the old town - Close to the Pile Gate, only 30 or so stone steps up from the Stradun. Very hospitable host Anka happy to help with advice, toting luggage, or finding information. Very close to vegan restaurant Nishta which has excellent and reasonably priced food.
- Tim (8/5): Friendliest Host around - We stayed here for 4 nights in September. Located right in the midst of everything, in the walled city. Very cute, rustic hotel with personalized service. Anika was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. A 65 step climb to the room, but loved sitting on the steps with a glass of wine and chatting to all the people going by. Would stay again.
- Jean (8/5): - After you spend 2-3 days in Dubrovnik, recommend that you rent a car or take a tour of nearby towns. Beautiful beaches, clear warm water, wine country. Dubrovnik itself has rocky beach access
