• Deborah (9/5): Beautifully designed rooms, fun lobby vibe and great location! - For an 8-day stay, it was wonderful to have a studio with a lot of space, a large bathroom, a kitchenette, and washing machine. The bed was super comfortable. It's in a fabulous location, and the lobby has comfy communal spaces to relax in. Staff members were always friendly and helpful. When we first arrived, our room was not stocked very well, and our refrigerator door would not close. But a staff member came immediately to fix it, even though it was close to midnight when we checked in. And in the morning, all missing items were brought to us. I do miss having basic vanity items (shower cap, Q-tips, body lotion) in the bathroom. I think that is a change since our last stay. I was surprised we could not get them on request.

Pokój był bardzo brudny: wszędzie kurz, brudny prysznic, niedoczyszczone powierzchnie. Ogólnie poziom higieny był bardzo słaby. Czuliśmy się niekomfortowo i momentami wręcz brzydziliśmy się korzystać z łazienki czy dotykać niektórych rzeczy. Szkoda, bo sam koncept i wystrój hotelu mają duży potencjał, ale czystość zdecydowanie wymaga poprawy.

• Clare (10/5): Fabulous stay, we will be back - We were greeted like long lost friends when we first arrived at reception. What a welcome, plus a cheeky upgrade to our room which was fabulous. I booked a room for my self and a friend, another room for 2 friends and a suite for a further 3 friends, it all worked out brilliantly I'm not sure how you can justify the cost of £18 for 4 bottles of water. It was such a lovely evening when we stayed but the garden is shut at 9pm so we couldn't enjoy sitting around in the warm evening.

• Kelly (8/5): Lovely short stay. - Great room, smaller than I thought and there was no mini fridge which I thought I had booked a room with it. Very comfortable stay otherwise. There was a lot of pollen in the air when I stayed here over spring, the room only has windows and no air con. Very comfy bed. The shower took a little longer to heat up. Without any aircon the room was a little stuffy, however the days I was there were unseasonably warm. Room could benefit from having a fan or something like that in the room when it is hot.

Nicht gefallen ist der falsche Ausdruck, aber toll wäre ein Obstsalat ergänzend zum Frühstück.

• Will (5/5): Ok but not what they used to be - time for a shake up I think. - Good location and facilities. Only one lift working - which was the same as my last stay and the one prior to that. No hot water in the entire hotel. So cold shower which wasn’t welcome at 7.30AM. Would have been nice if front desk had offered a complimentary hot drink from cafe, or indeed a discount off my next stay! A lot of fellow guests were equally unhappy. Alas it’s my probably my last time at Locke.
• Sezel Deniz (7/5): Good - When I first entered my room, the floors were dusty, but they were cleaned immediately upon my request. The reception staff are very polite and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent; it's close to the metro, and transportation by bus is also very easy. The design of the rooms, the cleanliness of the beds, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel are lovely. However, based on my previous experiences, I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast here. In terms of transportation, the hotel is in a perfect location.

La propreté devrait être nettement améliorée. Moutons de poussières, tache sur la tête de lit, tache d'eau sur les robinetteries. Favoriser une chambre sur jardin, rue un peu bruyante et la fenêtre est le seul moyen de contrôler la température. La climatisation/chauffage n'est pas réglable.

• traveller (3/5): Avoid this place. There is better ones around. - I liked the location, the garden, the bed, shower. There was 26 degrees in the room, you can't open windows. Ac did't work and they promised to bring us a fan which never arrived (asked 3 times). Also asked for hand towels, they never arrived. In the kitchen there was only one tumbler and a cup. Toilet didn't work properly. Windows were very dirty, you could hardly see through. Noisy street. Breakfast was very slow. Coffee was terrible (ask for a special coffee, one cup is free of charge and this was told nowhere - I founded this out by asking). Garden closes at 9pm, in summer is far too early. No make up lights/ mirrors in the bathroom.

Una joya del hotel. Recibimos un upgrade de habitación, no sabemos porqué, pero fue fantástica la sorpresa! El baño necesita una mano porque hay moho en las juntas de la ducha. La recepcionista, no Patricia, que tiene muy mala actitud, no va con la vibe del hotel.

The rooms were not clean enough. The garbage bin was not emptied on our arrival. The lack of daily cleaning is big minus at this price for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast although tasty, the service was super slow.

• Lova (6/5): Fint hotell men inte fullt nöjda tyvärr - Fint och mysigt rum. Rymligt. Bra läge och trevligt att man får välja frukost från en meny! Personalen var trevlig. Härlig atmosfär. Vi kunde inte sova om nätterna, det var alldeles för varmt och det gick inte att göra något åt temperaturen. Vi fick in en fläkt till slut men den hjälpte tyvärr inte så mycket. Ingen städning ingår vilket jag inte riktigt tycker framgick. Vi fick gå ner till receptionen om be om ny tvål och nytt toalettpapper flera gånger. Inga handdukar eller sängkläder byttes. Det lät även en del från vägen utanför som var tungt trafikerad. Skulle rekommendera att man ber om ett rum med utsikt mot trädgården och inte ett rum mot vägen. Det var heller inte så välstädat när vi väl anlände till hotellet.

• rxtherfxrd (7/5): Suitable for short-stay - Good calm neighborhood, walking distance to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens Hotel doesn't provide any toiletries (dental or shaving kit) even with a request. It was impossible to decrease room temperature lower than 21, nights are already warm and as a result it was very hot to sleep. Bathroom had a mold near bathtub.
• Tamara (8/5): Cool decor in a fantastic neighborhood! - So close to public transport in a very nice neighborhood and we could even walk to the V&A Loads of restaurants around as well as a Sainsbury’s local that was open until 23:00. Also loved the decor and the restaurant was delicious. Also the soap! Smelled fantastic. The toilets didn’t like flushing totally- what’s up with that?

• Rita (9/5): - The breakfast was really good. The room was stylish and comfortable. The mugs were dirty on arrival, though the staff got us new ones very quickly. The bathroom/shower could have been better, it was far lower quality than the rest.
• Lesley (8/5): Convenient, comfortable, clean - The comfort of the bed and the fact that everything was new and clean and convenient. A very nice little spot looking out onto the garden, delicious granola with whole hazelnuts the first morning, disappointing without them the second morning. Not a color scheme—rust and green—that I find appealing.

• Pamela (8/5): Eclectic, comfortable and friendly place. - Eclectic, individual and exceptionally friendly staff. A bit out of the ordinary. Room was well appointed and the bathroom was spacious. Liked the kitchenette area. The room was on the small side, but it was as advertised.
• Gaby Edore (4/5): Dirty room on check in, no help from staff when reported. - Great aesthetic, beautiful room for breakfast. Waiting staff were great as was the food Our room was not clean when we checked in. Crumbs and sticky glass marks all over surfaces. They said we couldn’t change rooms not have it cleaned that day. Have emailed management and have heard nothing back. Wouldn’t stay again

• sarah (5/5): Great location but I wouldn’t stay there again. - Lovely garden and perfect location. Great breakfast with lots of choice. The cleanliness of the room was poor - the bin in the toilet was full of dirty toilet paper on arrival. When the cleaners came to change the towels and empty the bins after two days (which is only available on request by the way) they left the full bin bag on the bathroom floor and one dirty towel by the side of our bed. The cleaners can back to correct this after we complained and were quite rude in their body language (also the fact that they didn’t speak English and spoke aggressively to each other in their own language made us feel uncomfortable). Overall I felt that the staff were unprofessional (except the lovely lady on reception who did apologise for the problems we had experienced.
• Kira (6/5): cheap place in the city to stay I'd say it's good. But its not a luxurious stay. - The decoration was really pretty, breakfast was great value for money. Location is great, it's near a good train station. The staff are the highlight, very kind, friendly, there's a cute dog that roams around too, loved that! Clean-ish room Low attention to detail. If you need a cheap place in the city to stay I'd say it's good. But its not a luxurious stay. Mold in bathroom, toilet didn't flush properly, they also didn't refill the hand soap or shower gel dispensers, they left smudges and marks on the furniture and the tv remote. Around the property there's furnishing that look tired, and need to be updated
• Helen (8/5): - We have stayed here 3 times now and the reception staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would have to say though that it’s not quite the same as it was . Miss the restaurant it was a lovely area to sit in and the food was lovely. It just feels full of people on lap tops now days . This kind of makes you feel like you’re in the way . It feels like it’s more of a hub for working . If you’re having a break for sightseeing it’s a great location and the area is very well located with lots to do nearby . Still a good place to stay ,but be nice to see the seating area become more comfortable for guests that aren’t there on business . Food for thought 🫣

• Nadia (9/5): Gorgeous, asthetic hotel and rooms. Great laid-back atmosphere - Hotel decor is fabulous. Wonderful aesthetic. Staff were polite and courteous. Breakfast was lovely but a few teething problems. It took a while and got a few things wrong but quickly corrected. Liked the laid-back atmosphere. We were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous and we were very grateful. Could have been a little cleaner in the communal rooms; floors, sticky tables etc. and also the bath had some evidence of black mould.

• Lisette (7/5): - Perfecte locatie, prachtig interieur. Mooie binnentuin. Zeer stoffig in de kamer, harde bedden, harde kussens, gedateerde badkamer met slechte afwerking. Je ziet dat ze de badkamer hebben geprobeerd te renoveren maar dit is een haastklus geweest. Verf spetters overal en hoop gaten en pluggen in de muren. Het is echt een gemiste kans als je ziet hoe mooi de benedenverdieping is waar de receptie, huiskamer en restaurant zitten.

• Marleen (9/5): Ik zou dit hotel aanraden aan familie en vrienden. - Het hotel is zeer sfeervol ingericht. De vele planten en mooie details gaven het geheel een warme uitstraling. Met veel plezier brachten we de ochtend door in de mooie ontbijtzaal. Er is geen klassiek ontbijtbuffet, maar je kiest à la carte wat je wil eten. Dat wisten we niet op voorhand, maar we zagen er zeker de voordelen van in. Je kiest bewuster wat je eet en het hotel gaat zo voedselverspilling tegen. Wanneer je het hotel boekt inclusief ontbijt, kan je zoveel bestellen als je wil. Er was koffie voorzien via selfservice, maar je kon ook andere koffies bestellen. Deze werden elders bereid dan bij de ontbijtzaal waardoor het vrij lang duurde voor ze aan tafel werden gebracht. Tot tweemaal toe werd er ook iets niet geserveerd wat we wel besteld hadden. Wat wel geserveerd werd, was telkens zeer lekker.
• Alexander (4/5): Disappointing as I love Locke hotels. - The breakfast and communal areas were really nice, and the staff at breakfast were really nice. I love that Locke hotels have a gym and a laundry too. The room I stayed was on the lower ground floor facing the street, but it was quiet, but the room smelt strongly of stale cigarette smoke, which made the sheets smell too. I notified reception but they didn’t offer any solutions. When I later asked for fresh sheets they took 30 mins to get back to me and it was late, so I just went to sleep. Also, an odd thing - the water from the taps has water softener in it, which makes the water feel a bit slimy. Once I looked it up I realised what it was but it was a bit disconcerting.
• Marie-Claire (9/5): High marks for everything except room decor style and hotel location. - Lovely breakfast room. Very friendly reception staff. Extremely comfortable bed! Clean, quiet and reasonably spacious room. Honestly, this hotel checked off most of the boxes, but I simply wasn’t keen on the location, or the choice of room decor. The building itself is beautiful, but doesn’t reflect the room style, which is a bit too “70’s” for me… In short, my negatives are very subjective..
• Will (10/5): Trendy, warm and comfortable - Amazing style and aesthetics, beautiful room, nice and comfy and great location. A real gem.
