- Deepak (8/5): - Old property but good for short stay..no usb socket but provide free universal adaptor. Most amenities need to collect from reception. Very near to uguisuidani and many love hotels..used for one night and for 8000 inr or 90 usd was good. Clean and has vending machines inside.
- Suzanne (8/5): Tokyo stay - I liked the location as it worked for us, a bit further out but very close to a smaller train station. This hotel is getting a bit old and the rooms are very tiny. That being said it was clean, the staff were very helpful. Breakfast and the amenities could have been better.

- Ladan (6/5): - Its definitely a cozy space which likely reflects the price. Everything was pretty standard, the only thing that stuck out poorly was the sewage smell that came from the bathroom. Once you arrive & air it all out its fine but when youre gone for the day & pull out the electricity that comes with taking the key (that we were using the fan for) the smell would build up again. Otherwise, reasonable place to stay. Staff were great!

It also has restaurants all around, but they are not great and just okay. The best food is probably at family mart.

Do not be swayed by the location or the presence of love hotels in the area. These are reputable esablishments. There are many great hidden dining gems in the area. The supermarket below has a fantastic selection of alcohol at great prices.

- Louise (2/5): - Properly didn't feel safe. Overpriced for what it was, not of typical standard for Candeo hotels. Cheap, tacky, outdated rooms akin to 1060s. Everything was dirty but plastic. Bathroom was strange - elevated above room, small, and leaked. Visibly dirty. Hotel was unconcerned when we raised issues. Clearly have enough demand for it not to matter, perhaps? Really wasted out money staying here. Near a tube line, but far enough out that when combined with travel costs we definitely didn't save anything.

- Mark (8/5): - After checking out, I realized I had left a necklace behind. The staff retrieved it for me and I recovered it. Outstanding! Thank you! The facilities are standard, but the location is down-market and a considerable walk from Ueno itself.
- MUHD IRFAN (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Comfortable stay for solo travellers, families or couples. Highly recommended if you are using the Yamanote Line. The hotel is situated near the Uguisudani station. Access to all areas is great.

The hotel stopped buffet breakfast to reduce risk of spreading and were very good at issuing refunds immediately when I decided I didnt want the set menu, no issues. The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Shower was lovely too.

You booked a smoking rm for two people. I booked a non smoking for 1 person. The hotel had a blackout which they did not leave me a notice for which shut down the elevators on the day I was checking out! I would like a refund for April 15th for a night I had to fly out! If you can do that it will change my review about hotels.com

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Uguisudani station. The area is pretty safe and quiet, despite there being a lot of love hotels nearby. Breakfast buffet is okay. Beds are comfortable. The room size is standard for Tokyo standards. We had two big suitcases and had enough room to move around. My main complaint would be the air conditioner. It either didn't work or wasn't able to make the room cool enough.

A couple of minutes walk to the nearest JR station and Ueno is just one stop away. There are a few places to eat nearby. The hotel has luggage minding option if your plane is later on in the day after checkout.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice sized room. Larger than the sardine can that you get from a business hotel. Adjacent to a number of hotels with the "stay" or "rest" option. It's a very short walk to Uguisudani station, which is on the Yamanote line. This makes it very convenient to get around.

It was handy for access from the local JR rail station although the walk back to the station is uphill, not fun with luggage! This hotel included breakfast which was mostly Japanese but some western items are available on the buffet. Good coffee.

- Cindy (2/5): Attention G Adventure Travellers - Do not stay at this hotel before or after your G Adventures tour. I stayed at this hotel as part of a G Adventure tour. I wanted to spend an extra day in Tokyo after my tour so I made a reservation at this hotel so that I would not have to pack up my belongings and drag them to another location. Unfortunately, this hotel forced me to check out in the moring, store my luggage during the day and check back in later in the day. I thought that this process was ridiculous ! This hotel was expensive and not in a great location. I would have been better off dragging my luggage to a less expensive hotel with a better location and paying the early check in fee. Had i done this, it would have actually cost me less and I would have had the room for the whole day. My recommendation to the hotel management is this: change your policy for customers staying at your hotel for 2 or more nights, so that they do not have to check out and store their luggage during the day and then check back in again. I do not recommend this hotel.
- Nigel (8/5): Typical Japanese hotel with small but functional r - No storage so you’ll be living out of your suitcase. Common to Japanese hotels. I hated to big step up into the bathroom. Nice heated toilet seat. Great for a day or two. Just a short walk to the train station and Ueno Park.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget Accommodation - This was a pretty basic hotel. We don't spend much time in the room so it was fine or us. The location was close to a JR line and subway so it was very easy to get around. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean and functional. It was booked through our tour agency and then we spent 2 extra nights there. The sheets weren't changed daily and the walls and carpet were a bit scruffy and there was barely room to put down 2 suitcases. For the price it was reasonable.

The desk staff were able to communicate quite well and were able to help with transportation questions. The breakfast was excellent with lots of great choices both Japanese and slightly more western options like scrambled eggs and yogurt and cereals. Good location for the JR line with access to all metro stations.

There were many gaudy cheap motels all around our hotel. It seemed to me that it was an area known for prostitution. I did not like the area one bit. The hotel was close to the metro station , which made it easy to escape to better parts of the city.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel is right by a Tokyo subway line and one stop away from the airport train to Narita. But the rooms are very small and the night we stayed our room had a strong smell of urine.
