• ANH DUNG (9/5): - The location is great, only a few steps to the basilica cistern. The staff is very helpful. There is a restaurant downstairs, quite convenient and to my surprise, I didn't hear any noise. The toilet flushing kept acting up. It was repaired quickly, but failed again. Just a small thing though.

• Manuel (2/5): Sólo tiene buena la ubicación - La ubicación del hotel es excelente El hotel necesita mucha reforma. En el lavabo hacía mucho frío porque tenía una ventanita de lamas que no aislaba nada, además el agua salía templada, no caliente. El desayuno es todos los días lo mismo. Un planta con una loncha de choped, un poco de queso, pan, un bote de mantequilla y otro de nocilla. El último día como innovación nos hicieron una tortilla que no nos habían ofrecido días previos. Sólo té o café. Ni un chocolate, nada. Mis hijos sólo bajaron el primer día. Creo que lo hacen aposta para ahorrar. Se lo curran cero. No recomiendo para nada este hotel. El señor que lo regenta además es antipático.

Lo único a tener en cuenta son las escaleras, pero ya lo sabíamos de antemano porque aparecían claramente en las fotos, así que no fue ninguna sorpresa. Sin duda, repetiríamos.

• Drilona (5/5): Beside location it doesn’t worth staying in the hotel only if you book it for super cheap price, or you’re only one or 2 - The location is great . The restaurant was nice as well. The sheets were very clean. The mattress was with big stains that my kids refused to use them. First the room was soooo small i didn’t even have space to pray. It didn’t have stairs and my room was in the 3d floor so I had to bring my luggage’s up and down alone with my 2 little kids. I asked for water since it didn’t have one single bottle . And they sold me a bottle of water for 160 Turkish lira. We called the hotel prior, I needed an extra bed for one more kid. They never answered neither me or booking.com and of course they were not helpful on site as well. They were aware that I had to do check out early because my flight for the next destination was at 10AM and it didn’t have breakfast at least for my kids. They offered to help me with the taxi and I was told that the price was increased in the last moment and the driver didn’t touch neither one of the luggages to put them in the taxi. This is the first time in my life i didn’t tip.

• Larry (7/5): Alround our stay was good, as it was in a new area, with new things to see, and the B&B was OK. - The hotel location was excellent. There was another restaurant business at the hotel, which was very busy, despite the high food prices in this area. All ways of making money are utilised, which is, somewhat restrictive for passers by. All sights were within easy walking distance, as was the tram, which is very useful, with an Istanbul travel card, to see all of Istanbul, not just the locality. The room size was good, and the extra third bed was not required. The hotel owner was friendly, the breakfast adequate if the same every day. Not a cooked meal, but a pre-prepared one. The price of this room was OK for what was available. The bathroom was a disaster! There was black mould on the ceiling ( health hazard ) caused I expect by persons NOT opening the bathroom window, which was the only means of ventilation. The bath/shower access was up a step and over into a deep ceramic tiled bath. Again a hazard, and I slipped badly once. The water pressure to the shower and sink tap was too high, causing either leakage ( shower head ) or splashing when turning on the tap. The room we were allocated was up a couple of steep flights of stairs. NOT good for elderly people!!! Not good with heavy luggage. There was no reception, sitting area to relax out of the room, but still in the hotel. This should not really be termed a hotel, more a B&B.
• Sajida (6/5): Great location, but thats all! - Location is great as 4 minutes walk to Ayasofya, however hotel is need of upgrade, especially the bathroom. There is a spiral staircase with no lift in the property. Room size was small, we had a single spare bed in the room so we used that to put our cases on, had there actually been 3 people staying then there would be nowhere to put your suitcases. They don't come to clean unless you specifically ask, even then they don't fully clean and not always empty the bins or change the towels, or clean the shower. Although pillows and sheets were clean, Duvets had massive dirty marks on them. Breakfast needs an improvement as they give you a set plate every morning with the same items in it every single day, very basic. There is so much waste, a buffet style would be better with a little more choice.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby too! Very well located! The staff is also friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable and breakfast is ok too. The facilities are a bit old and could use some renovations, but given the price and location, it is acceptable especially for a few days stay.

• Zilian (9/5): At The Han... even if it is cold, you feel the sun, and having a lot of fun! - Location is perfect!!!! Room is comfortable and clean. Shower is small, but was good for me. Breakfast is plain and the same everyday, but delicious if you are not fussy! The barbeque restaurant has great, great food! The staff and all the waiters are excellent - you even can get an "guardian angel"! 😇 They are always ready and happy to help. Will recommend The Han Hotel always!!! This is my happy place in Istanbul. ♡♡♡ Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

• Ajied (9/5): Great location - When I arrived, the staff at the counter helped me and my friends carry our luggage up the stairs to the third floor. The room is spacious and comfortable. Clean bathroom. The heater works well. The location of the hotel is close to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. If it can be improved, the hotel owner can provide at least an electric kettle and some cooking utensils such as cups, bowls and ovens. There is a kitchen in the room but it cannot be used.

I will certainly choose this hotel as my base during my future visits to Istanbul. The TV is limited to Turkish language channels; it would be nice to have some international (English) channels available for non-Turkish speakers.

I don't normally write reviews but this place is worth bragging about. The staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone staying alone and looking for a reasonably priced place in central Istanbul. The bed was super comfy. Was nice and quiet at night (which was surprising given it's in the middle of the tourist area). Great restaurant below the hotel. 10/10 will definitely stay here when I am back in Istanbul.

I have stayed at Hotel Han on 3 trips and its always what's expected, not perfect but comfortable clean and homely. Having the Barbecue restaurant at your doorstep is also great to end your day of excursions. Always a lot of fun with the friendly staff. Great access to the tram station that you can easily get around on to limit long walks. Although in that area that can also be a good thing. There will not be much to dislike about hotel han, if you don't like early morning chanting by the priests at the mosques it might be a problem for you.

Best value for the money, if you plan to visit the city and stay at the hotel only to rest. Cleanness can be improved, rooms are very small and few things were broken (side bed lamp and shower glass was leaking all over the place because was not properly sealed. WIFI very unstable.

• Raphael (7/5): Good - Very central location close to all the main attractions. The room is not big but comfortable and the terrace offers a view on Hadia Sophia. Unfortunately the kitchen is not equipped (there is basically nothing but some cupboards and a fridge). The room is not well isolated and one ears the neighbors as if they would stay in the same room. The showers mixer is not working properly (shower fluctuates from hot to cold all the time).

• Veys (10/5): Wonderful location and Hotel - This hotel is located above the Basilica Cistern, its location is very perfect, Hagia Sophia is 200 meters, Topkapi Palace is 300 meters, Sultanahmet Mosque is 350 meters and the Grand Bazaar is only 600 meters away.Staff is friendly, There is a restaurant but the employees are not hotel workers. A boutique hotel with a warm family atmosphere. You should not expect much for breakfast. It is the hotel with the best price and the best level in the region. but breakfast is enough
