• LoyaltyLobby (2/5): Theft By Front Desk or Housekeeping Employee - It seems that this hotel employs criminals or thieves, as either the front desk or housekeeping employee had helped themselves with perhaps around $250 worth of EUR, USD, and BRL from my travel wallet. I left bags with the front desk on Saturday morning for eight hours, and then housekeeping cleaned the room on Sunday. The money was left on either of these occasions. Luckily, these crooks don’t appear to understand the value of other currencies I had in the wallet, such as 10K YEN notes, as these hadn’t been taken. So, if you plan to stay at this Mr & Mrs Smith and Hyatt-affiliated property, expect the employees to rampage through your stuff and steal any valuables you may have.

We have stayed here before on this occasion our room was less good - noise from the road as on 2nd floor and noise from water pipes and no bath just a shower, As we had already settled in we decided not to try to move rooms. Good WiFI. Very good breakfast. Pool area good for sitting outside although pool cold. Good location for shopping, Subte (underground) , buses, Retiro bus station

Very good breakfast. Some English films on TV channels. Good area for relaxing outside. However pool would be improved by being heated as very cold. Room would be improved by the provision of a kettle or coffee maker.

• 576henryw (10/5): Great Location and Wonderful Staff - We stayed at the Pulitzer Hotel for 2 nights before our Antartica cruise in January 2025 and then an additional 7 nights after the cruise. It was a perfect choice because it is centrally located in town and only a block away from Calle Florida which is the pedestrian shopping street filled with restaurants, shops, bookstores, coffee shops, and the Galerias Pacifico. Plus the General San Martin Subte stop is only a 5 minute walk away. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and it was a great way to start the day. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful. I particularly wanted to thank Rafael Perez for making us feel welcomed after traveling for over 15 hours from LAX. And for all his assistance in making sure we arrived to the correct port for our cruise. A big shout out to Lucas Salguero for arranging our 3 day excursion to Iguazu Falls with Caracol Internacional. Every aspect of the excursion was taken care of from all ground and air transportation, the perfect hotel accommodation at the O2 Hotel in Iguazu, and the guided tours. We can highly recommend this hotel.

• anthony (4/5): Anthony - I pre-paid the hotel at the time of booking, was also charged full amount at time of check out. I've sent multiple emails to the hotel asking for a refund and not a single response. Hotel condition is what has been described in previous reviews, it is very tired and worn down. 2 elevators and yes, one is indeed broken. The 12th floor button in the working elevator does not work, so you need to get off at the 11th floor and use the stairs to get to floor 12. As previously stated, the only good thing is the central location. Otherwise not impressed with what you pay for.

• Carleton (8/5): - Well located for most things, or a short taxi ride away. Quiet on upper floors, breakfast decent. Generally a comfortable place, though needs a bit of an upgrade. The 2nd time I stayed here the window in the room was damaged so had to move rooms. Sockets for electrics needed replacing. Would still recommend.
• SPApoints (8/5): Solid Hotel with Great Points Redemption Value - Centrally situated and walkable to the Recoleta, Puerto Madero, and San Telmo neighborhoods, Hotel Pulitzer makes for an affordable points redemption with a great staff. However, there is significant variation amongst rooms within the same category, and the hotel could use a cosmetic refresh. Check-in: We arrived around midday off a red-eye from the United States. Staff were very helpful and able to get us into a room even though it was several hours before the appointed check-in time. We were originally supposed to stay on the second floor, though they were able to give us a higher floor upon request. Room: Due to some quirks about our stay (not any issue with the hotel, we stayed in three different twin rooms over the course of about two weeks. These rooms were very different in quality. Our first two rooms were decidedly average, though the third featured a spacious balcony which was a highlight. One thing to note is that the twin rooms are not true twin rooms; the beds are pushed together and cannot be pulled apart, though they are made individually. It feels like a queen size bed (they are standard twin beds, not twin XL) though each person has their own sheets and blanket. Rooms were overall generous with space, though this was also quite dependent on layout. Our third room (with the balcony) felt much more spacious than the first two. A lowlight of the rooms was the tired feeling of all the finishes. There were scuff-marks on the baseboards and outlet covers, and we encountered more than one faulty light switch (though lighting was more than adequate and all of it worked). A small touch up to these spaces would go a long way. Rooms also lacked bathrobes and ironing supplies which I would expect for a hotel at this caliber (Ironing supplies were available upon request though bathrobes were not) Amenities: Amenities in this hotel are generally quite good, though poorly advertised. Breakfast is included, though we did not figure that out until near the end of our stay as the front desk staff were unsure whether it was included in our rate. The pool was small and wanting of an update, but a nice feature to have nonetheless. And there was a nice lounge on the first floor (second floor in American parlance) that seemed to rarely be used by other guests. During my stay, there were two restaurants on site, including the Boca Del Toro, a classic hotel bistro that was priced accordingly, and a rooftop bar. The bar was the highlight, with good cocktails and ambiance, though a less than stellar view. The hotel is in the Retiro neighborhood which is close to many major attractions and delicious restaurants, though the immediate vicinity of the hotel is largely underwhelming. Service: Service was a highlight throughout our stay. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, though it occasionally felt as though some staff members were disempowered to help with certain tasks. At one point during our stay, we needed a key to lock the door to the balcony and needed to wait until the staff member with access to the key cabinet returned the next day. Despite this, requests were generally handled promptly and staff were a pleasure to interact with. Bottom Line: Hotel Pulitzer offers great value (especially with points) and a generally high quality product across the board. On future trips, I might want to explore other neighborhoods with proximity to the most interesting restaurants, but I would be perfectly happy returning to Hotel Pulitzer in the future.

• Safari790633 (10/5): Exceptional Boutique Hotel in downtown Buenos Aires - We stayed at the Pulitzer over New Year’s and loved it! Spacious rooms, a swimming pool, attentive staff and a great location. And a lovely breakfast included. I researched a lot of hotels and this price point was amazing value! Quiet neighborhood and close to the port and excellent restaurants. I just loved everything about this hotel.

No hotel personnel to help you with this or to take you to your room. With some exceptions like Matias at the downstairs restaurant attendants are not overly friendly. Great food at the first floor restaurant but breakfast is the same every day with the scrambled eggs sometimes cold. Rooms are neither big nor small. Great value overall. Would repeat.
• CocoSydney11 (2/5): Not recommended - Exercise caution at this hotel. I was overcharged and am having to dispute their charges with my credit card provider. When i questioned my charges on checkout I was assured incorrect charges had been reversed despite no receipts. I was lied to. The staff were also very rude.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great boutique hotel in Palermo - Hotel is in a great location in Palermo near tourist shopping. Rooms are on the small side, but it's an old building. There's a lovely first floor lounge to make up for that. The shower was weird - it never really drained right, but had great water pressure. Rooftop bar was great. Food at main floor restaurant was not good and expensive.

• Relax42243753149 (4/5): Good location, poor customer service & tired looking rooms. - We stayed for 4 nights Location is great, very central, rooms quiet & large comfortable bed. Our room was however tired looking, a very marked bath with no plug (see photo) and worn furniture. Only giving 2 stars due to this &!the service, particularly the reception staff, who were on the whole unhelpful to the point of being rude. In addition in our room we had leaking ceiling pipes ( which the hotel said was from the air conditioning). I slipped on the resulting water on the floor bruising my foot, head &shoulder, the hotel offered nothing in the way of apology or help which was very disappointing and then took £2.25pfrom our account after we left for a can of coke I used from the fridge to cool my sore foot! Will not be returning.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Not like for like - The Pulitzer moved us to another hotel supposedly since they had a bed bug issue with the one bedroom left. They tried helped us to the other hotel which was NOT good. Room may have looked like an upgrade and a few $ cheaper but the noise from the main road was terrible and breakfast is horrible.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Home sweet home - The Pulitzer is centrally located for easy access to various areas of interest. Many facilities one needs as a tourist (laundry, money changers, mini mart, a few restaurants, shopping) are within a 5-10 min radius walk. Breakfast buffet is very good. Service all around has been helpful and excellent. We were in and out of this hotel through out our 1 month in Argentina. We left some luggage in between trips. Very very convenient. Its as safe a location as any big city location.

Not too many restaurants but all other services like outside laundry, mini mart, money changers all close by. We’re staying at this hotel thru various in and out travel thru BA. Luggage storage between stays is allowed. No room upgrade or welcome drinks though.

• Fernando Watty Watty (10/5): - Everything is very close from the hotel, at a walkable distance. Lot of restaurants, museums and teathers.
• Jomarie De la (6/5): - We decided to stay here for one night due to the location as we wanted to do last minute shopping before flying back home to Europe the next day. The location did it's job but everything else was okay. The most disappointing for us was the staff as they were not friendly at all, from the moment we checked in to checking out, they made us feel that we were not welcomed to the hotel.
• leonardo (10/5): - Love the property and I would stay there again. The outside was dirty and but not the hotel. The hotel was great and cleaned. food was great at the Resturant there.
• Richard (8/5): Good hotel and location. - Good location and friendly staff. Happy with the room although would like a coffee maker or kettle. No usb ports in room and plugs didn’t fit our iPhone chargers. Fortunately reception lent us adapters so all good. We stayed 4 nights then left our luggage for one night while we visited Uruguay and returned for a fifth night. Room on first stay was on 3rd floor and we were very happy with it. Our last night was one floor from the top and there was a bar above us that we could hear the music from the room - not overbearing but a bit distracting. Fortunately we were very tired so didn’t disturb for long. Breakfast was really good.
• julie (6/5): - Wifi was horrible. No telephone. Someone stole their telephone cables a couple weeks ago and they have not repaired. Hallway carpets are filthy and in need of carpet shampooing. The people at front desk were great especially Bautista.

• Ingrid (10/5): - We were very happy with the Hotel Pulitzer. We would call it an eclectic boutique hotel. Quite old, but very well maintained. Very knowledgable, helpful staff. Hotel had all the amenities you might need. A lovely breakfast room with a nice variety of items. An attached restaurant where we enjoyed dinner one night. The hotel is within walking distance to historic buildings, parks and a pedestrian mall for shopping. We found nothing negative about this hotel and would highly recommend it.
• M (10/5): - Excellent location, front desk team are very friendly and helpful, the room very clean and beautiful, you have all attractions close by and is very safe to walk around and they let us in early because we arrived early and at the time to check out our flight was at night they let us stay at first floor they protect your luggage until you leave and they have on the 7 floor area to take a shower if is needed the 13 floor sky bar excellent and very nice staff and is the attraction in the area. Definitely recommend this hotel.
• Jose (10/5): - Excellent service by all in front desk and housekeeping. Pillows not ok all the time, had nice ones, then changed for kind of bricks, asked and was fixed. Overall excellent service, ok facilities, shaky area
• Phillip (10/5): - Hotel is in a good area and staff was wonderful. They allowed us an early check-in due to our flight arriving that morning. Also, they drew a map and gave us directions to anything we asked about including restaurants and things to see. I would certainly stay here again.
• Kim (8/5): - The hotel and staff are great. Location is excellent;you are able to walk to all major sites easily or catch transit close by for those who have walked enough. The breakfast will give you a good start to your day, coffee-if you add a bit of cocoa, is fine....they have sliced meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal and granola, breads and pastries...what more do you need. Florida street is right there with shops galore....

• 447sid (6/5): Got attacked in daylight outside - Got attacked in daylight not safe location Sunday morning,Came to reception after a 2 hours at police station they gave me some ice for me and my wife , didn’t care at all . They did make us pay 7 Dollars for what I thought was a complementary water in room as still in shock of our attack . No empathy by staff . Please avoid not safe

• Joe (10/5): Delightful Stay! - The stay at the Pulitzer was great! Loved the location in Retiro with wonderful parks, shopping and incredible restaurants close by. Loved the Sky Bar and the main floor bar. The suite was very comfortable with a great bathroom.
• Baskalbusra (10/5): Hospitable Staff of Sky Bar - We have only been in the Sky Bar are of this hotel. It has an amazing view from the top of the building. Coctails are tasty and had good price of its taste. It is a real recommended please if you are looking for a good bar in Buenos Aires. Special thanks to staff also!

• carolaU7173SQ (4/5): No Hot Water in the Room - We stayed at the Hotel Pultizer Buenos Aires from 1/7/24 to 1/9/24. We had a superior room. The hotel was nice and in a good location. The second night we were there we had no hot water. When we realized there was problem, it was too late at night to fix the problem. Before we checked out the next morning, we notified the front desk that we had no hot water. They sent up a maintenance man who didn't speak any English to fix the hot water. I had to communicate with him using my Google Translator on my cellphone. When he couldn't get hot water he went to the next room to see if there was hot water there. Then he went somewhere else to make an adjustment and he came back and we got hot water again. I asked him using my Google Translator if he would let the front desk know that there was a problem and he gave me the thumbs up when he left our room. The front desk gave me an email address to notify management of our problem of no hot water. I sent an email to management since we had no hot water that they should take something off our bill for the inconvenience of not having any hot water for one night. They acknowledged my email and informed me that there wasn't any hot water issues in the hotel and that I didn't know how to operate the knobs properly. If you stay at this hotel and have any problems and don't speak Spanish don't expect to receive a satisfactory resolution to your problem. You're better off staying at a known hotel chain for your stay.
• Sandra (10/5): - Definitely would stay there again. From the smell when you enter, we just loved to the style and decor, just beautiful. Couldn't have gotten a better location as well and staff were super friendly and helpful.
• Discover22406773763 (10/5): Fabulous location and hotel - The hotel room was lovely, they will not give you a stopper for your tub as they don't want you to use it. Get the cheesecake from Florida Garden down the street, it is superb. Great shopping. The young man in the picture from the front desk was wonderful! He spoke excellent englisg
• Amanda (6/5): Lovely hotel in need of a little TLC - This has been a great hotel. Getting a little tired. Our suite was gorgeous and good value. But the air con dripped and there were plumbing issues. The shower was great. The pool isn’t really useable as it’s in full sun on a strange patio half way up the building and the rooftop bar doesn’t seem to be in use. The downstairs bar is lovely and restaurant looks nice but wasn’t busy at all so we avoided. The location is very central and there’s a great coffee place a few doors away. It’s a shame because the hotel really looks great but is just a bit tired.
