• Bruce (10/5): - Great boutique hotel in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Not too far from the Musee d’Orsay and Rue Cler and Eiffel Tower. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again.
• Bach Truc (6/5): - The services provided by the staff was excellent and the room was adequate. The neighborhood is perfect for walking to many attractions and it was quiet at night. However, the property itself is not what I expected for a 4 star hotel. The bathroom sink filled up quickly because it did not drain properly. There was mildew in the shower guard, and the closet squeaked loudly. For what we paid per night, I felt that breakfast should have been included.

• Alex (6/5): - The hotel is in a great location, just next to the Musee Rodin and Les Invalides, and just five minute walk from the National Assembly. We had a very warm and professional welcome by the gentleman at the check-in desk. We booked a suite and we received room #1, which is on the ground floor and was described as the "garden view suite" -- the reality is that the windows of the bedroom and the bathroom looked to the busy street where pedestrians and car drivers could easily see inside, so we had to have the blinds closed all the time. The only part with a "garden view" was the living room which had a window that opened to the inside courtyard, but hotel guests would walk past and could easily look inside once again... The suite is large and beautifully appointed with glorious gold wallpaper and older furniture. The living room has a couch that becomes a double bed and a writing desk that one can use to do work. There is also a mini-fridge, but it is only used for the mini-bar items. The hotel does not allow guests to use the fridge for their own waters or drinks -- very unfortunate. Plenty of closet space. The spacious bathroom had a jacuzzi tub (we did not use) and a separate shower. Great water pressure! The largest problem by far with the room was the overwhelming sense of mustiness. It appears that the AC units are full of mold and when you turn them on mold spores are spread in the room and produce a very bad smell. I would have given a higher rating if this were not the ca
• Nicole (10/5): - This hotel is very cute and quaint in a quieter neighborhood of Paris that is close to the action of the 7th arrondissement. We ended our stay here and were impressed by the hospitality and charmed by the traditional decoration of the rooms. They also have a nice courtyard to enjoy breakfast in.
• Jaime (10/5): A special hotel for us. - This was our second stay at the hotel. Back in 2018 I proposed to my now wife in the hotel courtyard. The hotel has a special meaning for us. The breakfast is good. The location is also good as it is in a quiet area. It was very close to the Rodin Miseum and Napoleon’s tomb. Underground train station just a block away.

Great location just down the street from the Rodin Museum and a 20 minute walk to the Louvre. Very enjoyable stay and we will stay again next time we are in Paris.

The staff were very helpful, the room was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Convenient walking to Rodin Musee, the Musee D'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower and a little further to Notre Dame. We chose to have the generous daily continental breakfast which was great. The wifi was the only issue that was a bit painful (very slow or non-existent), but our understanding was this issue was unusual and an internet technician was coming to fix it. All else was tres bon.

The only thing I did not like is that the rooms were smaller than how it appeared in the pictures options for English on the TV I could not get it to work and staff was not able to help me fix it. The elevator was very very small that only one person and two bags could be an elevator at one time. Considering all I have fond memories of my stay.

Our last night added very loud noises from the neighbouring building well after midnight. Staff was very pleasant. We didn’t eat breakfast in the dining room, but it smelled wonderful. Neighborhood has patisserie, produce, and a small store very close. Within walking distance to many museums and sights.

• CHERRIE (8/5): - The staff personnel were very friendly and accommodating. I appreciated their efforts to correct a small issue I had with my original room by moving me to another room quickly. I also had a small issue with wifi when I moved to the new room, which they quickly attended to as well. The breakfast was more than sufficient, delicious and prepared well. The only issue I had was the lack of AC during the hot days of my stay at the Varenne. They have AC but it was not yet turned on for the season. Thankfully colder weather finally moved back in. Opening windows was a decent alternative. Alex and Kenza were fabulous in giving us food recommendations and assisting me with my needs.

Points scored for having a beautifully planted garden where you can have breakfast, drinks or a smoke. The Nespresso style coffee machines in all the rooms. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Location near musee d'Orsay (culture) and near shopping on the Left Bank. Couldn't be better.

• Cristian (8/5): - Very nice staff & service. Quiet, safe location and good breakfast. The only downside is the small spaces (small elevator, small rooms, small hallways etc) but otherwise a great place for a night or two!
• Sheryl (10/5): - This was our second trip to France and our second stay at this hotel. We really like this hotel because it’s very close to two different stops on the Paris Metro and provides easy access to the metro as well as walkability to most of the major attractions. It’s on a quiet little street Across from a convenience store and a couple of very nice restaurants. It’s a very small hotel but a breakfast is served every morning and the staff is always available to answer questions and assist in anyway they can. We plan to go back to France in the next year or so to see Notre Dame after it’s reopened and will plan another day.

Very clean but very cheap. There is no shampoo and conditioner, only liquid soap, which is inconveniently placed. Bath roob not soft, but only durable. You can not use a fridge because it is full of expensive beverages nobody uses today. But we lacked a water bottle, and you had to pay for it. Even though the location is excellent, I wish the hotel management invested some time and funds to make it more gusts friendly.

• Angelia (10/5): - Hotel staff was so kind and welcoming to us as tourists who speak English. The bathroom and shower were so delightful, wonderful windows for fresh air and light. The courtyard was a wonderful place to relax. we even had a partial Eiffel Tower view from our room- total surprise!

• Helena (10/5): - Lovely property in a brilliant location. Very friendly front desk staff who were welcoming. Hotel room had everything I needed.
• Timothy (10/5): - The hotel is in a convenient, central, and quiet part of the city, with many sites within walking distance and plenty of small restaurants close by. It's perfect for a solo traveler like me who didn't need or want a massive hotel with lots of amenities. The staff was extremely friendly, and it had a BNB vibe. Small negatives - this is a very small hotel with tight quarters in places, like hallways, elevator, and the shower. I didn't mind at all, as my room was beautiful and I loved the location, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

• Anne (10/5): - We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel years ago with our young children and enjoyed it so much then that we decided to stay at Hotel De Varenne this summer. It's such a great location and includes continental breakfast. Thank you for another terrific visit!
• Jerome (8/5): - Very welcoming front desk and attractive breakfast area. Good sized rooms by Paris typical small room standards. Bright baths but very high and potentially dangerous climb into the tub to reach shower. Extremely noisy fire door in hall directly outside room was finally repaired after 3 days of requests, but at checkout. A major issue, and not the hotel's fault, is the lengthy walk to Metro, then two levels of steps only to platform. As a positive, the Rodin Museum is close. The area is quiet but also lacks nearby restaurants. The hotel staff does its best to overcome the issues, for which they are thanked.
